A quick park and grab just as it was starting to get busier before the start of a working dayTFTC
I use to live 1.25 hours south of the headquarter of the company that makes this machinery which relocated to Texas in 2017. There they specialized in track type equipment while 45 minutes to the east of where I lived the the factory specialists in earth scrapers and ofc road trucks. People in the East Bank have seen the downside of this machinery. This evening I made a slight detour on my walk to the local supermarket to sign it. I've walked past it on a few occasions since it was published and today it fitted in with a personal challenge. Thanks U.N.C.L.E.
We must have missed the local cachette by hours as we had some business to do in a nearby workshop. Tearing the no.1 away admiring the big boat and deciding on a walk around the block to grab this micro before the next noob left it uncovered. The pillcan was an easy find and signed the last spot on the front side before peeps have to turn the logslip over to the other side. Good for another 40 signers as the Mega'24 hordes head away. Returned the cache as found after a veteran corrected the exposed cache. I had ridden the jump seat of my muggles D-3, D-8's on his farm. Never take a tractor where you can't take a crawler as the exposed limestone sheer rock on the slopes is unforgiving on self laying tracks. Benched tracks on the hills were first made only for draught horses working the paddocks. Shoring up a dam wall making his duck pond, an unfortunate mishap had a willow limb slip up through behind the blade and lodge itself in the radiator. The local garage had plenty of experience working on hydraulics but not radiator replacement so it sat in the valley for the big guys to repair. TFTC
A quick easy find, with several monster caterpillars nearby. The cache was in full view, but we recovered it. TFTC

My first Mega in the 3080 days since I began caching in 2016. Missed out on my first one in Auckland due to covid. And my 2nd will be in Rotovegas next year. A drizzly day, I don't like copy and pasting, but I think it's a case of having to this weekend. Guwapo is the driver, and I'm telling him where to go. Pleased rain isn't too heavy at the moment.

#15,306. Flew into Dunedin today to attend the Mega event this weekend. I am geocaching with geobuddy Infoferret. After picking up the rental car we headed out out to grab as many as we could today while the weather was still warm and sunny. We ended up with a good haul of 47 caches. Driving past so decided to stop and find this one. Quickly spotted. Thanks U.N.C.L.E for hiding it here. Just read the description. That is a fascinating account of how the company name came into being.
Day 1 of the visit to Otago for the Dunedin MEGA. Travelling with GSEL and enjoying the good weather while it lasted! No problems I remember with this find, TFTC U.N.C.L.E. No 14897 for me.
I seem to be finding recent hides around here without realising they are new, perhaps I should be paying more attention. Super quick find, interesting background. TFTC
FTF. Out for our Saturday morning walk, went past, seemed a shame not to grab it. TFTC
The hardest part of finding this cache was finding a park as there was something on at the stadium. As a child growing up on a farm at Brighton, my father had a yellow caterpillar bull dozer that he used to clear gorse and shrub on the farm. It was rather steep and my mother always worried that he would tip over and it was one of us children got the job to watch him from a safe distance. Not sure what we would of done if anything happened..............................however nothing did. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
