Came along and found this cache but wasn't sure if we had enough caches to satisfy the checker. Was pleased to find we had - just. We enjoy finding challenge caches and are happy that this challenge has been met. Thanks go to ahomburg for putting out this challenge.[goingplaces2](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=goingplaces2) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAYVWD/92729 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 114 finds (100 needed).Filters:( types (Traditional Cache , Unknown Cache , Multi-cache , Letterbox Hybrid , Wherigo Cache) , county:Cardinia , country:Australia)
Found it! A mystery cache was needed today to fill a gap in the calendar. As this cache had recently popped onto the map and was conveniently located, it was the cache for today. We parked near GZ and I worked out how to get to GZ and it wasnt too long before I had the cache in hand. Third to find! Thats pretty cool. There will be a field of sun orchids soon flowering away at GZ. A nice out of the way spot for some remnant forest nearby. I saw the alert come in last night that this cache got published, but unlike [999Hunter](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=c1e96dd4-3250-45c7-b61a-2e10674b518a) my plan was to finish eating dinner before heading out to attempt the FTF. *Well that cost me, as the FTF was quickly gone. Oh well...*So with the FTF gone, I figured I would just save this one for a day in which I needed to find a mystery cache. Well it just so happened to turn out that I needed to find a mystery cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for another one of the [CO's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=2ea93f43-d6fb-4f7e-938a-bacef589ab2c&ds=2) challenge caches, [WCW - Almost a Complete Mystery Challenge (GC9Z59N)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59N).Well what better way to work on qualifying for a challenge cache then by finding a different challenge cache! So after work I hopped in the geomobile and headed on over to GZ. I found a spot to park just inside the reservoir fencing, before I continued on foot. I was initially confused on how to access the trailhead, however eventually I figure it out and got on the right path. The weather was absolutely beautiful today and it made for a nice little walk today. Once I arrived at GZ it was a nice quick search before the cache was found and the logbook signed. **Challenge Complete!**Well I absolutely love challenge caches and try to give them favourite points, when I can. Unfortunately, I am currently on a massive backlog of owed favourite points, but when I earn another one I will be sure to come back and give this cache a well deserved favourite point. So a huge thanks goes to [ahomburg](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=3b6859b7-0a94-4f1f-ad22-d5f81bef2f15&ds=2) for the fun challenge! TFTC.**Now for my qualifications:**[horror.fan.jm](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=horror.fan.jm) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAYVWD/92729 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 166 finds (100 needed).Filters:( types (Traditional Cache , Unknown Cache , Multi-cache , Letterbox Hybrid , Wherigo Cache) , county:Cardinia , country:Australia)**Cache Maintenance Status:**The cache container was in great shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. The logbook was also clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
After a busy day at the Melbourne Marathon that started at 4 am, I was just thinking of dinner and then crashing. But before any plans were made, this new geocache got released. As such, the plans were very quickly made. Take away on the return from this FTF. The plans went perfectly after parking just inside the Cardinia Reservoir and then strolling to the GZ. I enjoyed the view of the reservoir that I hadn't seen before. Then, it was a quick find with good coordinates. Thanks for the cache, A Homburg.HunterPS.[999Hunter](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=999Hunter) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAYVWD/92729 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 632 finds (100 needed).Filters:( types (Traditional Cache , Unknown Cache , Multi-cache , Letterbox Hybrid , Wherigo Cache) , county:Cardinia , country:Australia)PPS.6,887th Geocache1,262nd Unknown Geocache461st [FTF]
