Logs
Solved this one at the same time as the other bathgate multi that was released on the 27th - however the little error with the C was too much to think about on *that day* with the pouring rain, so we took a picture of the info and worried about solving that once we got home, which was do-able! Anyway, headed out towards the beach today and got this on the way. When I opened the cache I was so shocked at the number of logs I actually thought I'd found a long lost cache. So great to see caches with so many finds since the mega - clearly attracted a lot of geocachers!
Found with Gazania Rigens and Wombatwandering as per their logsTogether with a host of other event attendees! TFTC
Found on a trip down south to the Dunedin Mega with trayc.gsigned as MrMuggle or MM to save room..Thanks to the COs for all your caches. We had a blast. TFTC
Found while up for the megaFound with Southern Raiders team thank for the cache TeamOtago
Had a few hours spare today so caching was on my do to list. Thanks for the cache
Oh dear the checksum agreed with our numbers but our calculations had us out at sea. ??
We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zeeland We are logged as TULP This was one of the caches we found Thanks from Sweden
Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland ???? Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia ???? and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand ????.On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland ????
Four Swedish ladies driving around in Dunedin looking for caches and events. We log as TULP. Thank you
In Dunedin for the mega, found with 2wombles before a event in this park. Thanks for this multi cache.
This is day five of my Dunedin Mega trip (and my last day), the first time I've ever been here before (never mind geocaching). Obviously with such a plethora of caches to find there's going to be plenty I'll skip but I hope to find my targets.Unfortunately logging is going to be generic, but thank you to all the cache owners and event organisers for the things you do.Today is for milling around, picking up some remaining target caches and generally sight seeing now that the rain has finally left. Bit of a stretch both for legs and arms. All good here, and thank you to TeamOtago for the placement of your Multi-cache.Find #7362 at 28 October 2024 10:33am
Came over after the event to solve and find this one. Cute little cache. Thanks for the multi and all the caches this weekend
10:21FITW ObnoxiousSpaceCat, Lytteltonwitch, Jude_E, jessdaphne and othersWe joined the mob heading to this corner of the park. I think Bathgate park could do with a multi for each if the features it has! "Bathgate Park street art" - here's another idea for the next multi.Kia ora! ???? Paldies! ????Thanks for the cache, TeamOtago!#11524
AFter the final event for the Mega, I joined a group who were wandering over to the other side of the park, to an even larger group passing around the log. So an easy "find" it was.
Down in Dunedin for the Mega this weekend with McJandals and NZFLOSSY. Signed the log sheet MDF Thanks for the cache.
?????? Down in Dunedin for the Mega event. Travelling with Davidsonclan and McJandals. Really fun to be out and about with the team and catching up with other cachers friends from everywhere. Thanks to all the organisers and all the COs for some great caches. It is certainly a lovely area of New Zealand ??????TFTC ??????
Down here for the Dunedin Geo Toroa Event from the sunny Bay of Plenty,Tauranga and are with some of Team BoP. Great to get together with our fellow cachers. Signed Logs MDF. (McJandals,Davidson clan & NZ Flossy)I am logging using the Cachly App and using their template option which helps with my memory for logging. I genuinely thank every CO for their time and effort put into these caches. Much appreciated. ??????
While at the event this morning, I took a photo of the information. Worked it out at home and found it this afternoon. Only 24 more to do now. There was a round patch of trampled grass where we had been standing.
Found with what seemed like everyone else at the event! Im not even going to begin to pretend otherwise. Thanks a lot for setting!
It was good to have a few taller people with us when we found this cache after the nearby event. TFTC!
At the nearby event so followed the crowd and waited in line to sign the log which gave us another opportunity to chat with some more new friends from the mega.
We are four ladies from Sweden on visit in New Zealand. We log as TULP (tigertassen, ursus67, lnganfans and pidjas). Today is our last day as we are going home tomorrow. We have to drive from Dunedin to Christchurch but first event and some caches.A big thank you to CO for the cache.
Some lazy Monday caching as I decide when I'll point the car towards Christchurch, which is home. Sweeping up some solved puzzles and a couple of others that I'm driving past.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were here for Geo Toroa (Dunedin Mega). Between flight cancellations and re-routing, things could only get better, right? But wait, theres more! Somewhere on our caching escapades, I dropped my wallet Its still at large, so if anyone finds itOne of us usually drives, the other is the retriever. That works for us. Weve either logged caches with our separate handles, or weve used FANGS to sign the logbook. Using the latter handle is more for mental health and well being. Its tiring having to write 15 + characters on each logbookWeve experienced some of the most atrocious caching weather conditions this Mega weekend. So it was a bit of a bitter pill to swallow when the day dawned clear and bright Up early to pack our wet, muddy clothes and give the room and hire vehicle a quick spruce, and then we were out the door! Let the mad dash to the airport beginWe ran away from the nearby event because we needed to give this multi some quick closure. We worked on trying to solve soon after it was published, but our calculations came to grief over a couple of errors (not ours). Today, it was a straight forward find for us Thanks Team Otago. TFTE.
Solved this one after the event and then a quick find at gz with angelic_kiwi - tftc
A mass log with 15 others it seemed, might as well wander around while at the event. Cheers
Luckily we were told about the description error before working out the final. I may not have had the attributes required to retrieve it, but I didn't see it first so I didn't need to try. Thanks TeamOtago#17423
Hmm well should have been easy but the coords put me at sea. It seems C and A needed swapping and then it was an easy find unless you are vertically challenged. Happy to sign it off! Thanks, TeamOtago.#10815
Had a bit of fun solving this as there were errors in the cache description (now fixed), but we eventually came up with some likely coordinates. After the event this morning we wandered over to the cache, which was a "quick easy find", although not actually a find as such, as we just signed the log being passed around the large group which which was already there. TFTC
Thankfully another geocacher was a bit taller than me. An easy find as it was hard to miss the large group
Did homework on way home from Mega. Came to Event and group of Canterbury cachers had same idea. Walked over and signed log. Thanks for this multi Team Otago.
We printed off the cache page before the error was corrected. A little head-scratch moment but all good. TFTC.
