This cache has served me well but its time to put it to bed. Hopefully a local geocacher will place a new cache near here.
As with others. Found 1st waypoint. Got coordinates but GPS was a bit scrambly. Will try another time. Determined to find it.

Find Number 553 found at 14:48
Geoson NationalSteel and I joined forces today to attempt the 6 cache types needed for "The Seven Souvenirs of August" The plan was to meet at RockHopper's event at South Nowra and then go to get a Letterbox Hybrid, a Mystery cache, an Earthcache and a multi, plus whatever traditionals we could pick up on the way.
Our final cache for the day. A multi. NationalSteel found the knot while I was looking in the wrong place. Then it was off to GZ where we had a pleasant walk until we realised we had to do nearly 100m of bush bashing to get to GZ. We found a camera left by the previous finders and NationalSteel will be organising its return. Then the cache was soon in hand and we found the easy route back to the car.
Thanks The Rats for the cache.

Visited here with Gill & Tony as part of our mission to earn the "7 Souvenirs of August" in one day. This multi was the last cache type we needed to complete the challenge. At the published coords we were a little way off what seemed to be a likely location so I checked that out and soon we had the GZ coords in hand. A little car shuffling to minimise fees, followed by some entirely unnecessary bush-bashing and soon we were at GZ, where Gill & Tony spotted a likely container. That turned out to be a camera bag left by the previous finders! Anyway, cache quickly found and thus the challenge was complete. I took a few photos of the enormous trees nearby. This is a really spectacular area and a very fitting end to the day's efforts. TFTC!
Found at 4:50 PM GAFF3. Last cache for the day as we head back to our camp site at Green Patch, rounding off one of the best caching days that we have had for a long time! Just wonderful caches (oh except for that drain one [xx(]) and of course the scenery was just magnificent. The weather helped - beautiful crystal clear days with just a slight breeze that highlighted everything.
This cache was another one of those "pre-us starting caching" that we are trying to tick off. When we got to GZ the GPSr was taking us on a bit of wander, but when the cache was eventually found - and it looks like crude muggles have found it recently judging by the standard genital drawing - the GPSr was showing just 5 metres
Gets a favourite for being an old cache
Thanks The Rats.

Found the knot but no container, wait a minute there it is on the ground. Replaced back where it should go.
Co-ords found now off to GZ.
Took a whole lot longer than it should when you approach from the wrong angle.

Today the sun was shining so we were able to see the Shoalhaven region at its best. We started around Huskisson and travelled south spending most of the afternoon in the Booderee National Park. What a glut of gorgeous beaches - each one looked like it belonged on a postcard. White sand, blue clear water - and lots of people and dogs enjoying the stunning areas. The rocky formations providing geological breaks every so often and adding to the interest of the area. We targetted several caches along the way and this was one we were able to find. We found what we needed at waypoint one quickly and at the gz location after widening our search to another location which matched the clue we found the cache. Fav point alloc. Thanks to The Rats for helping us discover this wonderful part of Australia.
Warm day better than yesterday cold with windy... WP1 easy one, then drive enter lucky let us in free fee for 10 mins, quickly drive to parking and run to GZ, searched searched searched everywhere as unlucky for us GRRRR, do again looked repeat, YAY finally found one, PHEW, thanks god then sign in return place... Beautiful view beach wow... thanks
Well that was an effort. Nice walk along the beach, and up the hill. Found a great place to hide a cache not 10 meters from GZ, so why not there?
All in all a nice day, a nice walk and a nice sized cache.

7213 + 863 = 8076. Found during the August daily search for caches....
In the Jervis Bay area for a weeks work. Well - I first tried this one wayyyyy back in December 2008 !! Couldn't find WP1 then, and it turned out to be missing. So today I was determined to right a wrong. Grabbed WP1 easily (Yay !!) and then made my way to GZ. A lovely looking area. Made the find slightly away from the cords but the clue is good. As I was heading back to the car I was joined by about 50 Navy people going for a "wander" through the scrub in full gear and packs ! 15 out of 31 tick !!
Thanks The Rats !! At Last !

We found the WP1 easily but no success with the cache even though we had almost ideal conditions - no muggles and also gps seemed to be quite correct
Found WP1 at Easter and finally decided to put this one to bed. Having visited this spot many times over the years, we parked the car and wandered over to GZ, but only geokids went with with me in search of the cache, geowife stayed on path (wery wise as it turned out). As others found GZ coordinates were a bit off but after some fruitless searching resorted to hint and soon had CIH. Took Monkeyin Around TB LN SL. On returning home geokids and I found we each had a tick but not geowife (remember her wise move not to stray off the path). A lovely spot TFTC.
Found WP1 the previous day in its knotted position. Approached GZ via the lower trail first but realised there would be an easier way. Doubled back and then took the upper trail. Followed some vague side tracks which led to a welcome sight - a well stocked ammo can.
It's a lovely part of the world. Took photos of kangaroos on my way back.

# 3032. Robmc and I were actually staying at Green Patch and I had grabbed the first WP a couple of days before. We had had a quick search but not found it. After reading several earlier logs we realised that the coordinates might be some way out so returned for another search and found what we were looking for - a nice big container. At WP1 we found the container on the ground but returned it to the knot as indicated by the cache page. Our GPS's were reading 25 metres out at GZ. TFTC TheRats.
Found with Katsumar during our Christmas caching bonanza. This was a tricky one; the GPS was going wild in the trees. Great cache. Some interesting contents! TFTC!!
We were camping at the time with some geofriends their first cache we had already found it(nicksmyname and I) so we gave them hints.
We found it on a beautiful summer day! Monday off work is perfect for little get aways especially when the weather is on your side!
The final location is one of our favourite places down south!
Watch out for those thorns and ferns on the way to retrieve the cache!
Thanks,
Mad Russians

1st find for the day. Tried the week previously and the GPS was bouncing all around the place.
Came back this week and we found it soon enough.
Quite a treasure trove of items. Love the cache itself as well
Overall a fantastic find.

So glad to have found this one on the second attempt. Had to be brave as I had already seen two snakes about today. The dry weather has thinned the ground foliage considerably making it a bit easier to get to than last time.
Beautiful mid winter morning. No one about. Wp1 is a bit hairy parking the car on a bend then finding the clue in a knot behind a knot. Gz lots of treasure. Took a school bus and left a JustBee badge. Tftc. Terrific!
Found on a fun caching day with RockHopper and RiverRunner. The inital location found relatively easy but the next required a little more team searching with GZs going all over the place and the vegetation rather thick.
A good place for a hide.
Thank you Rats.
Actually The Rats had fun chasing one of my hides on the same day. We both had a success

Dropped by here again, while caching with RiverRuners and Wandering Stars. This has always been a favourite spot of mine, even in winter, so now I've added it to my favourite caches!
Out for a day of caching with Rock-Hopper & Wandering Stars. The waypoint was an easy find after we found somewhere safe to pull over. GZ was a bit more of a challenge. I had not visited this area for many years and it was still very pretty. Only a few campers this time of year, summer here would be hell if you came to get away from it all. Great to see the cache still active after nearly 10 years! SL TFTC
It's always good to find a RATS cache on your holidays!
Scrounged around WP1, and finally found that the clue had fallen from its perch. Took the info and replaced as designed. We went the next day to GZ, and after a short search (or two, as I also started without footwear) we found the container. I was glad to disappoint only two annelids in the process!

Had a lot of fun with this one, just watching J+Js leach dance kept me laughing all day. Thanks "Rats" Fun day out and great spot..SLTN..TFTC
What a great place, until we found the cache and I was covered in leeches and some... I was doing the stomp dance and allmost to the point of hyperventilation. Did I mention I just don't like LEECHES.. Running out of the bush and leech pluck time.. I guess it's all about the experience. TFTC Rats
WP1 was a spur of the moment find that popped up on ozvixen’s pocket query for the day’s roadtrip so had to double back a little to find GZ. Been a long time since I’ve visited this area which has changed a lot! May have to come back again and create some better memories than last time.
Found during a caching raid in the Huski area. Found with mizmaz, ozvixen and Ben86. Had to do a little back tracking once we had the WP1, but was able to locate it quickly. Beautiful beach down there.
Found whilst on a caching road trip down to Jervis bay. Loved the beach in this area. TFTC

At first I was not going to bother with this cache as I did not like the options to pull over and park. My friend convinced me to though and we walked back to the first WP where he made a quick find. After updating the coordinates I was a bit surprised that we were going interstate to find the actual cache itself.
Once we arrived at the parking area for the cache, we were pleasantly surprised at how pretty the area was. The rosellas landing on peoples heads was rather funny, but in a good way. We wandered around to where the GPSr was saying that GZ was and started a search. My friend branched out and soon found a likely object so I told him to search it. He had a cursory glance and then wandered over to where I was. We found nothing where I was, so we went back to his spot and he soon found the cache, cunningly hidden in the normal cacher way. The actual GZ was about 10m away from where the GPSr was saying, and it can be hard to see as the low lying shrubs are starting to thicken up a little.

TFTC The Rats, I am rather glad I stopped and did this one.

Found WP1 months ago, but kept JB off my to do list until my mum came to visit so i could take her. We got here easy enough, and bush bashed to GZ rather than taking the track!! Found the fallen tree, checked the obvious hidey holes first, then under debris and all over and under it.. no luck, so we expanded around to see if there were more fallen trees.... nope =( We were here for a good 1/2hr looking, but had no luck!! >.> if it was where i would have hidden it.. its definitely gone! But i'll have to leave that to the next people to try to decide.
Totally wussed out on this one, disappointed that a few metres away i decided that I wasn't going further with thongs on. Didn't get the chance to try again, my four kids needed their mum after a busy time on the beach! That'll teach me to just do it when I have the chance! Not recording as a dnf as I will try again, probably better attired!
TFTC. Took the TB, which I will post at a cache in Sydney. Great cache in a beautiful location. Mrs Jaybeem! found the cache after a quick walk through the scrub in her thongs.
Only half as silly as Mr H, we too did this cache in thongs..... but in the daylight.
Mt Us had your Mr Geo-Muggle with him again for this cache & seeing the Ammo Can, he is now hooked.
Signed the log & had a good chat about caching to the Muggle Friend & he will now join & log the find even though he did not sign the log.
Turned out to be the last cache for us in 2010.

Cheers.
PS - Nice camping here too!

Finally got around to finding this one! We've driven past WP1 so many times but have always had visitors with us. Today we were staying overnight at Green Patch so it was the ideal opportunity to get this one. At GZ, Mr H went and found the cache whilst Mrs H did the sensible thing and stayed on the track. It was dark, we were wearing thongs and the bush was alive with things moving around! We survived to tell the tale though - this time lol!

We got the first part the day before. The second part was a bit tricky. We started off on a track and then had to go off track MV ended up finding this one.
Reperio at 1245. Picked up WP1 on the way to through yesterday, and decided to stop by GZ on the way back through to the ACT. GZ is a wonderful location, and is certainly a spot I would love to come back to. As we zeroed in on the cache, the signs in the vicinity informed us to stay on track, so it became a bit of a puzzle as to how to reach the cache. We searched all over the place, looking for potential hiding spots near the track, but came up empty. After 10 minutes or so, I decided that the cache had to be hidden well off track, and spotted what looked like to be a couple of faint geotrails. Wandered over much to the dismay of a passing muggle, and soon made the find.

the fist place was a tiny bit hard to find because we drove pasds it about 3 times then we could see the knot in the tree eaisly. then on the second one(the cach). we went hiking and got cut with sharp plant and pricked but found it a bit of on the co-ordinates.
thanx a great find

Driving in to the area with specific caches to do today when Mrs KC said STOP !! there is a multi right here. So into the bush I went looking to do some knotting and came out unknotting the goods. The following day with Mrs Gribbly in tow we headed for a well hidden cache. Not a muggle in site today. Thanks for a Typical Rats cache, Something interesting at the beginning and very suitable cache at the end. SL TFTC
I am still trying to get over the shock why I didn't find WP1 on previous occasions?? Got out the car today, walk towards it and knew instantly where to look!
Struggled a bit at GZ because the GPS had me all over the place, the hint eventually saved me. Took enough time to enjoy the scenery!

After picking up WP1 at least 18 months ago was stoked to finally grab this one from a beautiful location. Thanks for bringing me down here Rats I hope to come back for a camping trip one day. Took a pin and left a water pistol. Also took a geocoin for further travels
Had this on the 'to do' list for a while now.
GPSr was all over the place but eventually it led me to GZ. Would be interesting walking around in there in summer!

I remember going camping to this area when I was a young roo. Every easter I travelled from Bathurst down here to enjoy the surf and sand. Remember this area being a very busy place in summer. Today with norkmeister and Albida after finding waypoint 1 we made a quick find at gz TFTC Lovely white sands
I was happy to visit this area on the Canberra invasion of the Nowra area. A friend has recommended me to come camping here and I can see why. We retrieved the WP1 micro from the ground and replaced in its hidey hole. Approached GZ and almost didn't spot it. It was interesting to see what happens to an ammo can so near the sea after a few years.

Well After more than a year I can log this one off. Thanks Rats another good cache in a great spot.
This was our first Rats Cache so we new it would be a little hard. The team (Ace7 & the Tim-Tam man) were up for a challenge. Ace7 (part monkey) made short work of loacting the cache coords at WP1. GZ is not to far from an area we camp quite often as a family. We could not believe that we probably had walked past this area where the cache was hidden. Fantastic spot, after a bit of exploring I found the cache and was relieved to see the word "harmless" painted on in big friendly letters. Thanks to the Rats for a great cache.
Did with trusty side kick Toadmiester7 and friend TimTam Man Toadmiester7 found the first part and i retrived it with the other half Toadmiester7located and me and TimTam Man clamberd over to see

Like a recent log - I was about 17m out at GZ but the hint did the trick. Was keen for a swim so left a new(ish) matching log book and headed off. There had been a wedding on the beach while we were hunting and by the time we got down there it was pretty much over with the new couple exiting from the water. The swim and lie on the grass for lunch was a perfect stop on our day out. Thanks Rats
Found at 16:45.
WP1 was easy, but GZ was a bit trickier - the co-ords seemed to point about 16m away from where we finally discovered the cache (our GPS had strong signal at the time, so possibly the co-ords need to be updated in WP1 since maintenance?).
Took nothing, left Arise_Victorious trading card #6, slinky and lip gel.

That was cool. On the way back from «light out» we searched a while on wp1. Togheter with Mr. Vitty and son. But a cacher never gives up ... so after a while we found what we looked for and drove to GZ, where we finished the cache quick. That was the last cache in Australia for me. After that i traveld to Melbourne for the Australian open and than back home to ice cold, snowy Switzerland.
I will thank all the cachers, who showed me all the wonderful spots here around the jervis bay.

... all my caches from this area were done around this time but i've never paid attention to the exact dates (holidays)
Ahhh, this one was a challenge ( part 1)... the WP1 on our GPS showed a place with "a knot" ( as per hint) ...with a ribbon on the cut down bushes... which totally disorientated our search. We've almost dug out the dirt under it... only to find out that it wasn't the knot that we've look for. Almost an hour at stage 1 { loved it :- ) } Ground Zero wasn't a problem, beautiful scenery! Picked up stage 1 a few weeks ago and returned early to avoid the holiday crowds and heat. Lovely outlook from gz. Took pen left carabiner.
Great cache; good fun challenge. We especially loved the two parts to this one. Thanks!!
Found stage 1 a couple of weeks ago, but took a whilebefore I could get out ot GZ. What a lovely place late evening! This was my first cache with my new Oregon GPS, and found it fairly easily, although GPS still had me 6 m away. Thanks for the hint.

I was in the area didving, that meant that the mornings were diving, but the afternoons were free. I have previously been to Green Patch many times camping, so it was nice to return.
Picked up WP1, and then went for a swim and cache to GZ. Pick up the cache first (of course!), then spent a bit of time snorkelling around the area.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found the first after rereading the description. The second took a bit had to trust the gps (iPhone) rather than assuming where it was. Posting this from the beach
Disappointment x 2. Found the first waypoint after some dramas - very close to bend on road with fast-moving vehicles. Scary with young kids. Then couldn't find the cache. All the signs were good - found the fallen tree with good hiding place but nothing there or anywhere in area. We wonder if it has been robbed by muggles.

I found WP1 a few ago, but didn't have time to continue that day. I was in the area today and thought I'd continue - but I didn't have the coords for GZ (or the coords for WP1) with me. Could find WP1 again? Turned out easier than I was expecting. Onwards to the cache, which was found easily. TNLN. Thanks Rats for bringing me back to a spot that holds many happy memories for me.
Relatively easy find on a top Sunday afternoon in Paradise, lived in this area for years and the natural beauty never ceases to amaze us.

We took a few curious potential geocaching newbies on this one, it was a beautiful sunny day, and we enjoyed it with some whale watching, nice walks and a cache or two.
Once we thought logically about the coords given for GZ, we headed down to the right spot and after a short hunt had the cache in hand

We got WP1 pretty quick but that was the end of our acievments for this cache we looked under lots of dead trees but with the doggy coords we will have to pick another time and go again and take note of the logs b4 we go next time.

Found waypoint 1 quite easily, but am glad i read thru previous logs otherwise we may have ended up in Sydney. After adjusting the co-ords we were on our way. We have been swimming here many times but never been on any of the walks. We detoured from the cache and followed the track and it was just beautiful. (we did get the cache on the way back).

Set out to find this one after work. Picked up stage 1 after aquick search at 7.20pm, nice 3/4 moon helped a lot to, and headed off for GZ after modifying coords from previous logs. Passed through the closed ticket booth, and drove on down the road, being careful of the Roos along the way, closer, closer, closer said my GPS. Bang! Road Closed 400m from cache. The park was conducting a feral animal shoot tonight.
Oh well, I'll be back. I'd love to do this one during the day, as the place looks so fantastic in the dark.
Thanks for the Adventure Rats, stay tuned for attempt two.

We made the mistake of not getting the first waypoint before entering the national park so we had to go back and grab it. then we got baack to green patch and quickly picked up the cache.

This one always seems to come up on the list for the trip down the coast. Today made the detour to nut this one out. At the first WP the container was lying on the ground but soon found it. I believe the co-ordinates for S are one digit out which puts you near Menangle (or was that just me?). Anyway, logic prevailed and we used the parks sticker to good use and drove in. A beautiful spot and nice little walk to GZ. Took a little searching but got there in the end. Thanks The Rats for a great cache. I decided on leaving the TB as I had already had that one!
Found it - though we made the same mistake of not doing the first waypoint before entering the park. As we spent the night there (well worth doing!) it was not a problem going back the next day.
Had to mentaly correct the coordinates given in waypoint 1 though - replace the 4 with a five and the number that to me looked like a 6 was actually a 0. I had almost given up up... Came out of the ferns with a leech for my efforts...
Great fun though!

Headed down here today after a few no-finds. WP1 has now been replaced and is back in its original hiding spot.
We went and checked on the cache, it was all OK and awaits its next finder. We left a few more travellers for the next finder.

Nope missed out this time. Not able to find WP1. Thanks Rats. Sorry I could not fix it up for you to save you the trip.
Found lots of knots of at least 2 different sorts at the first waypoint (with lots of eager first timers to look) but couldn't find the clue to the cache. Will have to try again next time I'm down this way.
After camping here over the weekend with some homeschooling friends, I decided to tackle this one on the way out. When we ( My Friend and I) located WP1, we realised that we would have to go back! A hastily thought up excuse from mum saved us the ten bucks. " Sorry, we left something behind at our campsite, could we retrieve it?"
The lady at the service counter let us in , and with out any further ado, we set of for the final location.
As my friend and I neared GZ, we realised we had been gallivanting about in this area over the weekend!
We located the Cache without too much trouble. Both my friend and I enjoyed this cache thoroughly!
TNLN, TFTC !

As the area looked pretty destroyed due to some storms, we thought we would not be able to find anything, but were quite please to find the knot straight away, which then led us straight to the cache...quite a scary moment opening the cache, only to find a massive dragon fly staring at you....

We came down to Husky for a Wedding on Saturday afternoon so after staying the night decided we'd knock this one over. We were required elseware for lunch so became a little pushed for time, though the drive is not that long I was surprised to have to cough up ten bucks to enter the park for all of 15 - 20 minutes. Still the cache was worth it and we found some more places we simply must come back to and check out. Cheers Rats a great place!
I'd recently had the froggy TB and did not pull all of the well stocked cache contents out, so I missed seeing the diabetes TB. We made no swaps or trackables.
Thanks again

This cache has had some maintenance done on it. A new ammo tin awaits the next finder and WP1 has been replaced.
Thanks for the cache ! Rikki & family and myself and family had a lot of fun finding it. Awesome place of the world.
Checking out the area with mate Chippym and his family. his son soon had WP1 and we were off to find the cache. After a bit of a search we soon found it.
Did no swaps but left a Unite for Diabetes TB.
It's a great spot. We have camped here before and will definitely be back.
