It has ceased to be...
After Muzza's message I thought I'd double check the location - I've been there a few times as I live close by. Seems like the council has been doing a bit of cleaning up in the area and the bucket has been removed. Strange they left the toy car and cassette behind!! I took the car to place in another cache, and threw the cassette out as it has been destroyed by exposure.
This was the very first cache I found... Hopefully another one will replace it soon?

I believe I found this one but it appears to have been trashed. According to my GPS and the MapSend Victoria software, the co-ordinates are in the middle of the river.
However, I searched around nearby, found a small clearing which had a tree and about a metre from it, a shallow hole with a small toy in it and an Answering Machine Cassette it it. I will email the cache owner with photos of the site to verify I was in the correct place.
Stay Tuned.

Borrowed JoMac's GPS. After dodging the knights jousting near the car park, followed the paths and boardwalks to the general area. Took a somewhat roundabout route to the clearing, where the cache was clearly visible as it was uncovered. Took a metal mug, left the bird toy from Where Eagles Soar. Enjoyed the walk in and out, and the abundant bird life. Will now have to buy our own GPS.
Found at 11.35. Took BP Hitide keyring, left puffer fish toy from 'Buckley's Chance'.
Hooray!! Found my first cache on the third attempt... didn't have much time to write in the logbook as there was a big storm breaking, but took a candle and left a roll of film and a swapcard.

After finding Buckleys chance we headed over to the Barwon Bonanza. The route we took had some impressive views. As we walked to the cache we passed several malts that looked like Geo Pup. One girl even had one in her backpack as she went riding by. This is one off Geo Pups favorite forms of transport.
The area is very overgrown and the cache is not visible. Enjoyed the walk around the river.
Nice one Dan, Nell, Frank & The Heelers.

Found easily by Kevin and Meredith
We did start off on the other side of river so the bridge nearby was handy
Took a book and left a clip-art CD
Good location for a suburban cache

Need to do these in daylight. There is a lot of new growth so trying to find it in the dark proved impossible.

Again we stated on the wrong side. But after the long drive the kids were happy to walk around. Had fun finding it. Thought it might have been washed away. But no, we found it and took the playstation cd and small truck and left a book and a toy.

Our first Geocache! Had a lot of fun taking the family out to look for this, as it was nearby to where we live. Not too difficult. We look forward to many more Geocaches.

Found this one fairly easily. Nice little walk too. Like the previous people that logged in the caches logbook, we were looking closer to the river. Only took us a minute or two to realise that where we were was the wrong spot and we took the couple of meters walk to the clearing and found it straight away. A word of warning though. We came at it from near the river and we spent 5 mins or so recording in the logbook and exchanging the goodies. When we got up to walk out we noticed just how close we were to the path (2 -3 meters) AND in full view of anyone who walked past.. LUCKILY noone did... so be careful.....We exchanged the tin cup form fortes ground with a camo pouch.
Found by Ray and Maya (Nomads) on Wednesday the 29th of August 2001 at 4:30PM. This was the 22nd and last cache found on our weeks trip to Adelaide. It was an easy find, the tracks through the long grass gave it away. We took the sun block and left an Army truck. Thanks, Ray and Maya.
Another late night - I'll have to get some sleep one of these days! Visiting my sister while on a business trip from Brisbane. Found the cache at 10:45pm in the dark. Stumbled accross it fairly quickly wearing a suit and tie. Was with my sisters boyfriend's sister. We were going to take a candle but decided instead to take a pushbike horn for our twin nephews. Exchanged some Qantas club passes for the horn. Probably not really a fair trade however that's all I had, sorry! Going to Sydney tomorrow for work on the way home to Brisbane. Probably won't have time to do a cache tomorrow however will grab a few waypoints to help find one for next time... [email protected]
Four caches and 450km later, this was my last cache of the day. The sun was very low on the horizon and I had little time to find it and return to the city. The reserve was very nice and I started about 100m from the cache - on the wrong side of the river! Hopped in the car and drove round to the reserve on the other side of the road and ended up about 400m from the cache. Headed down the path and eventually got close to the cache. Took about 5 minutes wandering around to find the clearing and the cache. Nice spot and a lovely little reserve! Cheers Gav
Found 14 July 2001 at 12.25pm by Greg and Bev. Took longer than expected to find this one. The number of people walking their dogs in the area making made a furtive search difficult. We eventually got there though and exchanged a bicycle horn for the game cd. Greg and Bev
Found your cache today, my first find. Parked on the wrong side and had to walk across the bridge.
Took and left nothing apart from a log entry. Everything in good order. Thanks

Hi Dan, Nell, Frank & Heelers.
Had a great time finding your cache, damn I forgot the fishing rod. I just couldn't believe our luck, found the cache and didn't even get rained on. (thats a first).
Didn't take long to find after one restart of the Gps (and Magellan's will take you there), and with the help of your clues.
We decided to take the sound card and we left the answering machine tape. Thanks again.
