As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

just learning how to use a GPSR so used this as a test run with someone showing me what to do there is still a lot of work going on In the area.

I dropped in to check on this cache today, and it seems it has disappeared. Possibly it was distrubed by the installation of drip irrigation in the area. This cache has been disabled until we come up with a replacement strategy.

Found it. Took a CD and left a CD, McDonalds toy and a White Board Also picked up Travel Bug No 450646

Unfortuantly we got to this one shortly after a local school decended on the area for their sports carnival. Lots of school muggles in the area so decided that to avoid a muggles find we looked no harder for it.

Our first physical cache find Down Under! Visiting relatives in Armidale they took us on a drive around the area. Since they had also recently started geocaching -- my present of a GPSr helping in that regard -- we had a few caches in mind for the day. Having struck out on Raise The Standard -- too long of a hike -- we wound up here. A pretty easy find, but a find nonetheless!

I took nothing, signed the log, left the Piers Pelican TB and an Edward Jones Mighty Grip kitchen tool. (I know that it is not a theme-related swap item, but it has become my signature item, and I have a bunch of them, and I have to get rid of them before I return to the US so I have more room in my suitcase!)

TFTC!

Our first Australian find, although have previously found caches in US accompanied by OzGuff.

Found this relatively easy. Took classical CD, left Cole Porter, signed log-book.

Hopefully, the start of an interesting new outdoor experience.

Hi Guys
Thanks Ebenezer, for this one. We had some business in Tamworth and found ourselves with a free day. We introduced some local friends to the sport of Geocaching and this happened to be to be our first stop. I was over the moon to find a travel bug in this cache. Dodgey is to be relocated to the mountain tops of the Warrumbungles (our local area). we didn't have a cd to place in the cache, but placed a musical item instead. A music diva doll. Our friends were amazed to see the fun we can have with an over powered calculator (gps).

Found it fairly easily, All thou my oldest Daughter shouting that she had found it at the top of her Voice didn't help with security of the site but fortunatly there was no one around [;-D].Left the Travel bug as not knowing when I would be able to transfer it. I will get it if I go travelling and if it is still there.

I was driving through back to Sydney from Brisbane and thought I would try find at least one Cache for the day. Ended up with three finds from 4 attempts, this was the first.
Took a couple of minutes to spot the hiding place. It helped there was no-one around, I'm not sure how discreet you could be otherwise.
Swapped a CD for a CD and left Dodgey TB, collected on the North Coast.

Thanks for the Cache!

First attempt at geocaching, found it fairly easily. Wow there is some bad tunes in that cache, including the cd I left.

14-Feb-04
Had to come up this way for a meeting. Grabbed it on the way home.
Took the 1973 compilation (showin my age now) and left a Mendelson disc
Thanx Ebenezer

Had to drive into town today, took the opportunity to drive past before the crowds descend in a week or so. Even so, had to wait for a few chaps in a hatchback to tire of bunny-hopping in the nearby carpark before we could begin the search in earnest! Found the cache quickly, although we didn't have any truly bad CDs on board the cachebuggy to donate. Signed the logbook, took nothing and left nothing. Thanks Ebenezer!

Found this one quite easily after being lazy and driving around a bit! - it was a hot day 40+
Was on-route back to brisbane after holidaying south for xmas.
I had recently converted my CD's to MP3's and only had the MP3 player with me, so no trade today.

Thanks for the hunt

Found this one with out any troubles. We picked up the travel bug Dolfy and took him for a drive, he will pop up in Queensland soon.Whoever dropped him of has not logged it yet (maybe they are still travelling) so I'll keep an eye on this cache until they do and then I'll log that I've picked him up.

It took us some time to find the container itself. We didn’t bring anything to swap but left the TB Dolfin.

An easy find as we were passing through to visit the inlaws

24-Jun-03
A nice easy find on the way to Queensland via the boy's footy carnival at Tamworth. It was also found by another (not geocaching) interested party. I attempted to hide the cache a little better than when I found it but it may need to be checked soon in case of vandalism.

No swaps even though I was sorely tempted to get rid of my daughter's Brittany Spears CD.

Thanks Ebenezer.

Found at 3:25PM on Monday the 2nd of June 2003 by Pat with Maya and Ray (The Nomads). The Nomads were on their way to Caloundra and stopped for a day with Pat who has hosted us in past years for the Tamworth Country Music festivals held in January. We decided to introduce Pat to our travel pastime. We think she enjoyed the experience, though we doubt we have created a new cacher. Unfortunately we did not have a CD to swap, we carry all our travel music as MP3’s on the computer, but we did have an old cassette containing music from Slim Dusty and Rolf Harris. The cassette (case) is pretty ordinary, but the music is OK, and it is in keeping with the cache surroundings, and Pat left a small Kangaroo charm for Rolf Harris to tie down. We took the Beer Drinking Music CD. Having now heard the CD we took, we think the cache got the better deal. In hindsight, we think we should have stuck with our original choice of the mood music. Our collective thanks for placing the cache.

This is my type of cache, we managed to drive within 36 meters of it. What a brilliant cache, the spot is so bold it's unbelivable. I felt a bit guilty about leaving a cd of moods & meditation. After playing the cd we took (Aldo Novo) I don't feel quite so bad. This is an excellent cache.
Well done.

I should just point out that my mother-in-law came with us to hide this cache.

23-Mar-03
Found it at 10:00am. I'm glad you guys planted this one as it gave me a small diversion from visiting the in-laws. Wink
Didn't have my best/worst CD on me this trip and not sure who would've gotten the better deal if I had, so I just logged my entry in the book and left it at that.
Keep the New England caches coming guys, us city folk do get up there occasionally...

Thanks from The Ginger Loon

Went back for a second visit. Took back the German beer songs and exchanged for Smokey Dawson. Cache in good condition. Winter sports will be starting close by soon. Geocaching may be difficult here on Saturdays.

Found at 11.00AM Parked at the picnic area and sprinted to the cache (well walked quickly anyway).
Nice and easy to find but we didn't have a music cd to swap so nothing was exchanged. Greg and Bev

A great afternoon with the kids and thanx Ebenezer and Hecta. Unfortunately pipped to be first by Howy Agoin(strange name?) Swapped Aldo Nova Guitar for Frank Sinatra (we Win). Our GPS went flat while running over to it however the kids still saw it from 50 meters perhaps this cache needs to be burried. Covered it with leaf litter but may come off in the wind.
Thanx again

Found by the youngest team member at 1245 Hrs 29/1/03. Made the exchange for one of our best! Hope to revisit soon, after we've listened to the CD we selected, and exchange for another. Thanks Ebenezer.
