Today out and about on 186 of 274 days to get my daily cacher Emerald Using my Garmin Etrex 22X and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
With the big targets finished, we headed out today to wander around an area that we had been passing through to get to our targets. There was also a trail nearby that we had also solved. Everything looked for was found. Thanks to the CO's for the caches.#9303
After a week of caching around Adelaide incorporating The Great Leap Forward event, HansandLinda, MeandDe and I moved camp to Bowhill to capture some targeted caches. DiMorgan & I tackled this one today. Another great day for caching. TFTC Mac & Missus
Road tripped to Adelaide for theLeap Day Mega, caching all the way and trying to fulfil various challenges. This cache - which challenge/why?camped nearby Teamed up with Darkside Dan, Loci612 and Tiz13 to find as many of the bike series as we could. Early start each day and going like Duracell bunnies all day to achieve our goals. We ended up doing the entire series and other caches as well in just 4 days! We were pretty cactus at the end of each day but felt a great sense of achievement at the end of it to soothe our aching bodies and various injuries.Nearly all caches sought were found. Logs signed AB! or AbG! (Adventure boys and girls) depending on who put ink to paper. This was a quick grab before meeting up with the others at our starting point for today. ***This was our attempt at 400 in a day challenge day which we achieved with a massive effort and only stopping to pee.***TFTC
I was planning on staying the night at this wiki run campground, went for a peaceful walk, said hello to the alpacas, and claimed this golden oldie.
Headed down to the Towitta - Sedan area for a couple days caching. Day 1 doing the NVRATHM series and others in the area. All caches were in good condition unless mention in log. TFTCFound fairly quickly and a nice looking camping area.
Find # 9221On my way to Mildura to meet up with some caching friends to begin our epic On Your Bike series adventure. Picking up some counties, oldies, and other specials along the route to add to my tally and to stretch the legs. This was a quick and easy find and here at To Witta, to Woo with Ronice88 and weirdobiker today. Another golden oldie. Thanks so much for the many caches Mac & Missus and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light
Out with Ronice 88 and Contesta picking up some Caches and this one in particular was a lovely old one. Thankyou for maintaining this cache. What a beautiful spot and definitely a favourite
Tweet tweet tweet - hip hip hooray for a golden oldie in this impressive park with these huge ancient gums. On a multi project in the true sense of the word far from home base at higher altitude with a group of likeminded geobuddies! Travelling with contesta and weirdo biker to get a start on the mammoth mission ahead of us and enjoying a perfect day out in a different landscape TFTC and the fun! A fave for longevity
Finally after a long cold winter we got away and discovered this wonderful camping spot (thanks wikicamps).
A lovely flat treed area with two geocaches as a bonus.
Duly found and signed.

A change of pace today, our team was hugely decreased in numbers with only HansandLinda and ourselves goingand to Nurioopta to visit the lovely Snappy Tomcats followed by lunch and a tour of the wineries to complete an AL. Plus we picked upa few other caches that were needed to help fill DT grids or challenges. SL TFTC
TFTC. Along with miff1 we though today would be a good chance to explore some of the Barrossa. We. Had earmarked a virtual cache at Hamley Bridge as our primary objective. We would stop and find other caches as we came close. We lunched at Nurioopta before completing a tour of their Historic wineries. A great relaxing day,
Another pleasant drive to explore the countryside from our current campsite at the Sedan Recreation Park. Thanks for taking us on a tour of the area.

Muff1 had snuck across the border to hit some power trails and were staying in Sedan with some interstate crews at present. Having done the On Your Bike Series I knew 9 in particular needed a very long ladder when I did them, so I offered to bring a long ladder up for them. Having done that I wandered off to grab a few caches on the way home via Mannum where a Lab Cache series had sprung up since the last time I was there. As you do.
I was last here in October last year and the cache was nowhere to be seen. Then it was replaced by previous finders in December so I wanted to get back here to correct my DNF. Being only a handful of Kms down the road meant it was time to make the detour and visit here again. [^] Not surprisingly the cache was hidden in the first place I looked. Another DNF off the list. 20 to go.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks Mac & Missus for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Adelaide and South Australia Trip Christmas 2021/2022. Day 17. The next phase of my journey is underway. I was with Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Sol de Lune and Smitten Granny to attempt to finish the On You Bike where-i-go caches. We have managed to solve them all before we arrived. Day 7 in the River land. As we had accomplished the On your Bike caches, the others headed back east to stop at Mildura for the paddle steamer caches, but I am based in Adelaide at the moment, so could not go. This was my last day up North, and I spent it around Sedan tackling the caches in that region, before heading back to Adelaide stopping for some Labs along the way.
This trip to Loxton had been a year coming as I had missed out last year due to other commitments. The group had increased and the target list of caches was much higher. It had been a group effort to deal with all the jigsaw puzzles and then the Reverse Where-i-gos were sorted out with the various online tools. The trip was looking at risk as the COVID situation stretched and stretched, but at least SA kept to its plans to open the borders and we all jumped through the hoops required to get across the border. The weather was looking extreme as the journey approached and it did not disappoint. The daytime temps were from 36-42 over the days of this exercise and it made for some hard work and lots of water usage.
Thanks for the cache Mac & Missus

Another Wednesday Wandering for some members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group. We gathered at the Lyndoch and myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out for a day of caching in and around the Barossa Except for 2 DNF's (Damn the list is growing again) we managed to find all we looked for. We were last moth and yet there were five new puzzles solved to look for. As usual there were a few laughs, a picnic lunch and these are the caches we found [B)]
Sadly my second DNF for the day. The two previous finders with me confirmed that cache was no longer here. You pwned the noob!

No luck for me here today. I didn’t find something that looked like someone else’s business that I was unwilling to explore further which may have put me off.

Today I headed up to Sedan and surrounds to get some numbers to help me reach my target of 13000 for the year. I also needed a multi for my calendar and there were plenty to choose from up here.
It was a great day for caching, blue skies and sunshine but not too hot, although I did get a sunburnt arm through the car window.
Lots of great caches and didn’t see any snakes which was great.
All up 48 finds for the day. Thanks to all the CO for their efforts really enjoyed my caching today.

Found this with CherryRose while out caching for the day. Watch out for the STINGING NETTLES. We wondered why we felt like we’d been bitten. GPS is 8 to 10 metres out.
Found out with Beary Organised & we wondered what was biting us then realised it was stinging nettles. What a way to end a fun day. Cache about 8 metres North of GZ.
TFTC Out with Beaker thought we would grab a few caches on our way back home on this beautiful sunny winters day.

Out on a Friday Frolic with a Fish and a Dragon. The emphasis was on fun, rather than big numbers, and that was certainly achieved (even with the curry Owl got for being home late for dinner). This was a day of cleaning up stray caches in out-of-the-way places and this cache certainly fitted the bill. Took a bit, but eventually followed the logs to further north and a find was made.
Another day out with Doctor Owl and sushilord heading north. We started in Williamstown, had lunch in Nuriootpa as well as picking up some new stamps, then ended our day in Towitta. [^] A great day with lots of variety, lots of fun and some great scenery that changed quite markedly the further north and east we travelled.
After finding the nearby multi we set about clearing all the caches around Towitta. This one took a bit of time to find. We couldn't see anything where our GPsr's wanted us, so we widened our search then read some previous logs and then the Owl looked more closely at one area and there was the cache.
Thanks for the cache Ian Mac.

After packing up this morning, we headed off with ilook4geo to add some more caches to the tally for the day. This one was a nice quick and easy find, using the info from a previous log and all was put back into place after the log had been initialed to represent both names.
There are a lot of trees here that have a certain WOW factor. We decided to camp here as it is such a peaceful place. Thank you Ian Mac for bringing us here to share the beauty and grandeur of nature here.

A big day out today with a total of 47 finds, all found all over the place, from Brighton in Adelaide to blanchetown through the Barossa and the back roads. Not the best day to cache with continual rain though.

The cache was definitely not there. We considered that it was worth replacing the container so as not to lose such an old and well visited cache. Co-ords slightly changed to 436 and 976.
Noted this had been found earlier today according to logs but we couldn't find it despite widening the search and ignoring the d/t rating. Hope it hasn't gone missing.
Nice to cross another early cache of the list, quick find for us today, stopped here for a morning tea break while watching muggles campers play a little footy before grabbing the cache

2nd to last for the day out with SA Sewer rats. we had no idea that this park was here. cache log was a little damp and may need replacing soon. Whether it was properly sealed at some stage or not may have been the cause. TFTC
Found with Team Willmott. Soggy mess. Have tried to fix. River flowing well after recent rains.
Found in poor condition, have tried to fix it up. Great spot, creek flowing well!
I found the cache scattered around and in a very bad state. It is all there though, including the log book which is so soaking wet it is all but unusable. I gathered it all back together and put the lid back on it, but this one needs some serious maintenance. Perhaps a new hiding location to prevent it being accidentally found, seeing as there are tons of them in this park.
Thanks Mac & Missus.

The cache was found laying open, and as such the logbook is saturated. The whole cache needs to be cleaned up and a new logbook installed.

Camped currently at Big Bend, with a beautiful day forecast we had dragged out the inflatable 2man boat and pumped her up. With that little adventure under our belt it was off to see what else was out int he big wide world.
Great afternoon caching and we found far more caches than we had anticipated. [^] Only found this cache as we were trying to complete the Towitta tragedy and it brought us right past.
We got back to the caravan after dark.

Out with locus, clare007, 3LG and Earthlight for a day of caching. We attacked the Barossa region knowing that everyone would be able to get their fair share of caches. One of our party left at around four in the afternoon due to pre-existing commitments while the rest of us charged on to just before midnight, at which point we shut down the GPSr and made our way home. A great day with this one easily being my busiest caching day in terms of finds.

I managed 57 successful locus caches for the day until I had to leave to race home and go to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Festival Theatre while the others crammed into the one car and kept caching.
Another quick find in a less manicured park than is usual in the city!
