Hmmm - Web site had this cache still active at 8 am Feb 2nd, so off I went in pursuit. (& Panic's entry below was not there) . Came across the little known memorial - an unusual spot for such a prominent cause.
Progressed on to the final location, lifted rock and the leaves/bark under it was clearly shaped in the perfect shape of a small Panic sized container, but no container. I did find bits of the previous container that was accidentally crushed in this exact spot., and a bit of green paint on the rock too.

Thus, seeing as A-Web site still Ok this morning, B-shaped imprint, C-only 9am, D-found shattered remains of earlier container - This is counted as a find. Cooeee.

Cache was deactivated yesterday and archived. Best wishes to all who enjoyed it.

Due to a change in personal circumstances I will not be able to maintain the cache for much longer. It will be archived some time in the next two weeks. If you have items left here that you would like to retrive please visit the cache and remove them.
Kindest regards, Panic!

Found by Mary & David at 1700. Much more pleasant surrounds than our previous find. Really enjoyed this, with its clever linkages and historical interest. David worked in the vicinity of WP1 for several years - how different it looks now that it has been opened up. The cache area was guarded by a couple of big kangaroos, which seemed very appropriate. Cache contents quite sticky as one of the sweets has leaked in the heat. Unfortunately, we had nothing with us to clean it up. Took little jug, left a star and a dinosaur. Our thanks to Panic.

After being cachenabbed this cache was redeployed on the afternoon of the 9th November. Smile Many thanks again to the Hill4 team. New cache container to replace the old one that was destroyed by RobinsonR22.

Went to visit this cache to check on it's condition only to find the cache container totally smashed to bits. The damp notepad was left behind with a message "Took the box and everything in it. Left this notepad." Sad
I will probably replace the cache in a while in a slightly different location. I have about 20 new cache containers they will be smaller, bit it's better than loosing the cache all together.

Number 2 today. After turning away from a couple of other cache spots where dogs were not allowed, it was great to find our 4 legged friend was welcome here. An interesting spot with great views. Took a ball and left a $2 coin as I'd left the other swaps inthe car. Thanks for this one Panic.

Found by VK2TDG, Mabs & Spoon. Third cache for day, rain was starting to really set in as we found this cache, so didn't bother writing in logbook, just ran back down the hill to the cars! Yours truly did the stupid thing and tried to jump a fence on the way back, but forgot that you've gotta lift your legs when you jump.. - result was not much skin left on hands! Sad Decided to finish caching for the day!

This search was a lot of fun.

At the first location we had to visit (the memorial plaque), we were stopped by a security guard who seemed awfully suspicious of the reasons why we were there. We had to explain to the confused guard what exactly "geocaching" was, and why we were standing suspiciously outside a certain important building.

Also- when we found the cache, the container was somewhat broken.
We took the tasmanian devil, and left the $2 coin.

It was a lot of fun- good work!

Decided that a bit of culture was what I needed. This cache was very interesting, don't think many people know about the plaque at the final location even though they visit the buildings at the bottom of the hill in great numbers.
Wonderful cache.

Found at 4.40PM Lots of kids in the nearby park but fortunately none in the vicinity of the cache. Thanks for this interesting walk. Greg and Bev

Not everyday you find a cache with an Orienteering checkpoint above it so we logged the cache and stamped our card and set off. Wonder how we went in orienteering event as we found a lot of the markers on the way back to the car.

I had certainly did not know of the second memorial. There was plenty of evidence of rock turning near the tree. But this didn't help. A systematic search found the cache after about 15 mins, although just as I found it I spotted some muggles coming so had to leave it for a few minutes. TNLN.

A forgotten piece of Australian history, thanks for the lesson. Great view too and got to meet a friendly mob. TNLN.

I inspected this cache today to see about the hole in the bottom of it. The contents are okay thanks to the zip lock.
Some one has done a really good job of reorganising the rocks and camoflaging so the cache now sits on a soft bed and only needs one rock to be removed to find it. Plus there's now a rock to sit on. Very nice job, thanks.

Yep! I stuff up the maths as well and ended up standing in the middle of a street in suburban Campbell. After recalculating and finding the 'landmark' I left my notes in the car - I give up!

That was Saturday, today is Sunday and with my notes I found the electric tree and then found the cache.

Love the toy cars, but decided to take nothing leave a Tasmanian Devil from my zoo. Twisted The sunset was great as it caused the log book paper to have an orange hue.

BTW - there is a crack in the bottom of the container, so be careful with it.

Okay found the first waypoint easily....screwed up my maths and found a Dutch connection...but no footbrdige...have new coordinates now (with proper maths) and so I will have to head out.

Yay now I have found it. Found with Mr Maleks on a bright sunny Saturday morning..

I think we saw a Sasquatch

Very interesting site. Most would probably never know that the particular memorial existed there. Nice bit of concealment at the cache's resting place...just where you would least expect to find it, given the terrain and potential hidey-holes in the immediate vicinity. Took the blue car and replaced it with a socket drive extender. Carefully restored the cache concealment to its 'least-expect-to-find' condition and went off in search of another on such a pleasant sunny afternoon.

Thanks Malte Big Grin

For the grand sum of $1 I can present you with a cache container of the same design as that one*.
*Paint schemes may vary. Colours remain the same. Management reservres the right to substitute another band of equal or greater fame should said band not be able to perform on the night. Big Grin

Well I made this find a bit harder than it should have been. I stuffed up my maths and ended up on the other side of the nearby Mountain. 60 minutes away to be exact. After getting someone else to check my calculations it was a nice easy find after a short walk. We got there during the afternoon before the stash was replaced. I left a couple of toy cars and a note on the bit of paper that T.S placed in the box. By the way those cache containers are really a work of art. To nice to leave out in the bush Wink

After double checking my math, this cache was not too hard too find… Certainly a nice interesting spot that I was not aware of. Looks like I beat the contents back. (The new box was still empty). So I left a note, and a supaball. Malte - when you return the contents, can you sign my name in the log! Thanks, ThomasS.

I have replaced the cache container with a new one. This one is classed as 'child damage proof' This means adults can still break it if they stand on it so don't break it.

It's funny. I've had those containers sitting at home for months storing all sorts of things in them such as lunches, nuts & bolts, fireworks, tadpoles and some sand from Surfer's Paradise and no damage. The moment I spray them green and put them in the wild people break the. Sad I bet people are just kidnapping them so that they can sell them for a fortune as original artwork when I am famous. Cool
Please replace contents and a nice swap. Container out, nice swap in. Cool? Razz
No more shopping at Aldi for cache containers.

Haha! My first virgin-cache. We left work early to get there asap. Between seeing it on the web and getting there, only 60 minutes went by.
