As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Looks like we will have to wait for the work around the cache site to be completed before we will be able to replace this one.
Went to look in a sharp breezy night to find the street closed and the site leveled with major reconstruction of the entire area. Only bare earth at GZ. The site seems to have been taken out fence line to fence line.
Took some great photographs.

1415 hrs. Council is working in this area at the moment with the lookout closed to cars at the moment. Hopefully they won't move cache. Signed log thanks.
A great alternative view to Brisbane.
This is what caching is all about.
Giving people a chance to see something they would not normally find.
As tourists it gave us a great view of the city and a chance to study the layout before descending into it's midst.
A great cache and strongly recommended for those visiting this city.

Our first visit to this spectacular area. We will have to return with our camera. We got to the location just on sunset, and spent half an hour watching the sky change and the city lights come to life.
We had to wait for the right opportunity, as it was muggle central in the area, however we managed to locate the cache, sign the log and replace it without problem.
That makes 3 clues in the "Looking" series now. SL. TFTC.

Found it! Can't beleive we didn't see it last time. Very disappointed with ourselves.
Spent quite some time up there, dodging muggles; searched high and low to no avail. Will try again sometime soon.
very nice spot had heaerd of it but not been up there before great views from up here
Found about 3.30pm
Found about 3.30pm
Found it just before lunch. Cache was within 4m of GPS and only had to wait a few moments before a couple of muggles left. Great view - kids loved it. Bring a camera.
12:05hrs Located this cache and got it hidden just in time to run into some Tasmanian Geo Cachers arriving on the scene.
Found this cache hot on the tail of the WitchPigs. A great view of the river from here. Forgot the pencil so couldn't sign the log - maybe next time.

Would never have gone here if we weren't geocaching. This is a terrific location - thanks. Never seen so many magpies.
Great find thought it about time to find these as have alredy done the last one with my father.
Called past again on the way back from Sunday afternoon shopping...
Finally got an opportunity without muggles!
Signed the log and patted the small blue frog hopper toy but left it for the next finders, before taking a photo of the Letter=Number clue
TFTC
Couldn't find this one - quite a few muggles about Sunday afternoon at about 4pm
Will have to come back and try again - went to do Looking Good instead...
Muggles, sitting on the Cache enjoying the view, you'd think people would have better things to do! I'll come back later!
Found it, logged it and now have 3 of the 8.
Goal for the week is to finish the Looking series.
(Log book is a little damp) No pencil and you will need your own writing stick for this one.

With a very minor detour, this happened to be on the way to an appointment...
Fantastic views from this spot - sat for some time taking in the city view and filling out the log.
# 5 of the series - getting close now !
Cheers.

The old water tower was almost as intersting as the view. I bet this was a crowded spot the night before for Riverfire. In the company of Snowman48, FSOSK, Scye, Muffin, Lee, and Michael.
Second one in the series for the day. This is a great view that I would never have found any other way. Just what I love so much about geocaching, getting to find all these cool places.
What a view from this Location!!!!!... Found the Cache with no difficulties at all....

Found at 6.25pm. Great views. One of our favourite caches. Muggles watching, we must look like crazy idiots to a couple of young muggles parking. TNLNSL. Liked the frog. Our 2nd of the looking series. Off to the next.
Nice spot...yet another place I didnt know even existed.
Thanks
Log is still quite damp

Quick find today, visiting from Minnesota with a non-geocaching friend...when we first arrived, we had the place to ourselves, so instead of looking for the cache I stupidly stopped to take some pictures. Take that as a lesson, because as soon as the camera came out, a steady stream of cars pulled in. I don't know exactly what these people were doing up there, most of them drove up, sat in their cars for awhile, then left. It took us 20 minutes of sitting on the benches waiting for people to leave before we could retrieve, sign, and return the cache - as previous loggers have noted, the cache was very wet, but otherwise safe amongst the hordes of muggles. TFTC!
Nice hiding spot.. funny i've been here many times before when i was a muggle. Cache was very wet. TNLNSL.

Knew this place but haven't been up there for long time so was nice to revisit. For anyone interested, it's fantastic at night but that's also when the public are there too.
Found about 12:15pm. It seems a few people like to have their lunch at this location and we had to hang around a bit. Cache in good condition. Thanks for the challenge.
2nd 'Look" for the day. I came here when I was a fair bit younger and it was a lot darker. The old bench and fence has made way for progress.
Note book is full and wet.

2nd find for the day on the way back to work with JACS. No notes so was a bit more interesting.Log book wet.Nice views.SL
Found this @ 1600 hrs today. A few people about but after a short wait I had the place to myself and found the cache quickly. What a beautiful view from here - never knew this place existed. Log book extremely wet and needs replacing! Added a piece of paper with enuff room for some more geocachers to add their log.

Found this beaut little cache whilst out for a walk today. Lots of workmen around but only the magpies were paying me any attention. Nice view. If.
So many Muggles again, Found it after leaving for "looking Up" and coming back later. Almost done one to go ! Andrew and Maryan.
This was the first cache on our list as it was only 1.3km from the hotel. But we had to have a few attempts at this one. On the first attempt we had the place to ourselves for about 30mins and looked everywhere and could not find it. I know now we walked past it about 50 times. After the first attempt at finding it there were muggles day and night. Finally on a wet rainy day we got it. What a challenge that was.

Decided this couldn't be that hard, so went back there at 20:30 tonight. No one was there & we found it very quickly.
If you haven't been to this spot at night - go! It is extraordinary!

Second visit today. The first time there was a car with 2 lads "smoking" so we left them to it. we returned later and found it between visitors. Thought we were going to have trouble getting it back as a girl was eating her lunch but the magpies convinced her that it was best to eat somewhere else.
Thats 6 finds for the day and Mrs decides that its time to go home. I reckon I could have done another 3 at least. Will have to come back to the northside again soon to pick up some more. Almost need a cut lunch to come here from home. that reminds me - we didn't stop for lunch.

Grrr.... first people in a while to NOT find this cache.
Waited around for about 45 minutes and we only got about 2 minutes to ourselves... oh well... next time.

Found after a little look and a long wait (muggles). The cache is absolutely saturated, I tried to dry off what I could, but the logbook is looking a little worse for wear. TNLN.

Found it after a few minutes of looking around and dodging muggles. Great veiw and some amazing houses.
Arrived on site to find car load after car load of passing muggles. They would not go away. As one load left more arrived. We waited over half an hour, during which a group of girls had an impromptu disco and a bloke with a well polished Mitsubishi car spent ages taking dozens of photos in failing light. The magpies were amused. We went off to eat.
When we returned it was dark. Yet there was a car right in the wrong place - lights on. Waited. It left. Immediately two more arrive. They left - and a quick dash out with torch had the cache in my hand - only for another car to arrive. Fortunately he did not stay and the cache was safely replaced.
The pencil is broken and I did not have a sharpener - sorry!

Quick cache visit on the way home. The area was deserted apart from some magpies. Despite the haze, it was still an impressive sight.
Thanks for the view,

Came back to this one after trying to do it in the rain yesterday. Managed to dodge the joggers, sightseers and the buus load of Japanese tourists who turned up just as we were tryinhg to restash!! They followed up so looking good too!

Visiting from SA. Had a day to kill in the BNE CBD. This was the last of three from the Doherty’s that I went looking for. This is what caching is all about! Interesting places and great exercise Spectacular views of the city. TNLNSL Thanks for a great day guys. I clocked up 15km walking between the caches [xx(]
I have driven in the area countless tmes and never knew this was here. The view is great. Spent about 20 minutes looking for the cache. People coming and going. Well hidden. I know at one point I was right on top of it and still could not see it.
Scratched my head for a little while but soon worked it out.The dohertys seem to know alot of spots that may be popular a/h parking spots !!!!
Thanks

Visiting from Melbourne. Nobody around today. We failed to out-wait the parked muggles yesterday. The superb view kept us entertained when we had to play it cool.
I had to go back a second time very early in the morning because there were too many people around.
This has to be the best view of Brisbane we have ever seen.
We're beginning to feel very clandestine 'looking' about Brisbane, everywhere we go there have been lots of people, lucky we are very sneeky.

Visiting Brisbane on business. Caching in the darkness, using shank's pony for transport. It's a tough walk to the cache from the main road; perhaps I should've done the cache before I had dinner at the Brekky Creek Hotel. [B)]
I arrived at the cache location at 1940, and actually laid eyes on the cache soon after, but I didn't retrieve it until 2100! As someone else noted, the location is a short cut for the locals, and a rendezvous for lovers! [:X]. There was a constant stream of them, including one persistent couple who arrived when I did, and were still there when I left. I finally realised that they weren't taking any notice of me, so with a little subterfuge, I managed to snarf it! It took me a further 10 minutes to get back unseen. Talk about difficulty three! It reminded me of "Big Fella View" in Victoria; that one took me 2.5 hours to retrieve and replace! In both cases, the views were fantastic. TNLNSL. TFTC. (I can't help wondering will dohertys upgrade to DLT. )

First for the day. I have got to say that these looking caches have the best set of co-ordinates I have seen. Accurate to a metre every time.
Nice view to.

Found it after another stream of muggles admired the view.
Never knew this spot existed. These just get better and better. More power to you, Dohertys!! Kids do make you invisible.

Another splendid view of Ciotach's former home city - we were visiting her daughter Nikadoodle and decided to do some geocaching. An easy find. Thanks, Dohertys.
Well hidden...muggles about again.. near what must be one of the worst designed public seats I've come accross.
Found by SWEATY of HOTANDSWEATY at 1000 hrs on a slightly damp Sunday morning. Had to wait for the coast to clear. Well concealed. Great views.
One of the many looking series that kept me busy and my eyes amused over a period of days. Had to wait a little while for the area to clear, then I had the place to myself. Nice view!
Returning from the airport, ducked in to retrieve the code to continue the 'Looking'.
Read the clue on the previous logs about 'being obvious'... well, there isn't much at the site really now is there... except a brilliant view that I must see at night, as I found this cache during the day. very nice spot.

Found early in the morning. It seems many people use it as a short cut to the local school. Despite two other people around, I was able to retrieve the cache with ease.

This was the first micro I found.

In the middle of a thunderstorm, not many sightseers. Fairly obvious where to look, 3rd one hit the jackpot. No swaps, thanks!
Third time lucky. Had to wait for a few tourists to leave after taking a few photos [:(!].... This is such a lovely spot and we never knew it existed thanks for sharing it
I visited this previously but a group of council workers arrived for lunch and I had to move on. It may have been the same ones Jfreak encountered. My second in this series. What a great spot and a top idea Dohertys. I took the Singapore dollar and left a Canadian Doubloon retrieved from a Plantman cache.

Hmm arrived to find a council employee sitting in a car eating lunch. I got out of my car and just wandered all over the place, I took photos (some real some fake) of the view then went and sat down on a seat. I then tied up my shoelace trying to find where the cache might be hidden without making it too obvious I was looking for something (It wasn't the shoelace trick that found me the cache). Then this feller didn't seem to be moving much so I want for a walk down the hill a little just having a look around (and desparaely wanting the feller to MOOOVE. Eventually I located the cache and filled it in to the sounds of this guy yelling at someone on his phone, it was bright and colourful language I might add.
He drove away just in time for me to restash the cache.
Thanks, Dohertys

Just my luck - As I was homing in on ground zero a bus load of Japanese tourists turned up... when they eventually left, another couple of carloads of muggles arrived to take in the view and then last but not least a mini-bus full of geriatrics arrived (and they don't move very fast)... After about 40 minutes I had the place to myself and found the cache without a problem...
Found @9:55am. Second for the day in this series. Off to Looking Good, GCGT1H next.
Baseline Benny and i found this beauty 2nd in the looking series, another fantastic view, and another coin left for kicks.
We found it at 9.00am Missed the first one so unable to play the game but certainly enjoying the views the caches take us to. TNLN
Sunday 28th September 1pm
Rogainer & miss Rogainer were here - popped over after visiting Looking around. Like 'Looking around', it had been a long time since I had been here and had forgotten about the great views to be had - although miss rogainer was more interested in all the magpies who must obviously get fed by someone.
Thanks again Dohertys

I was going to wait until next week before attempting any more in the 'Looking' series but I couldn't wait so I was out at lunchtime.
I had the place to myself and found the cache quickly then sat taking in the view of the city and the river. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera so you'll have to see it for yourself.
Then it was on to 'Looking Good'.

Visitied this one 3 times this afternoon. Very busy spot made it quitee difficult to search thoroughly but if this one was placed like others in the series then I suspect that it has been plundered [B)].

My first find in the Looking series, located on the way home from a night shift. Easy find in a top location that would be worth squillions if ever sold off!
I noted the letter and number, wrote in the logbook, scratched the scratchy (no luck there) and then headed off to Looking Good.
Thanks, Dohertys.
