I had a look ..... Too many mozzies flying in there .... For D/T 5/5 yes, but not 2/2but thanks for maintaining this Oldie.
Yay time a Tuesday Trekking, for three Confused Puzzlers. The three Confused Puzzlers were SA Sewer Rats, Brisal5 and ttrogg.I have been past this cache so many times.Today the CO wanted to do a check on this one, and remove a throw down.So down on my knees I followed the CO into a hole in the side of hill.We looked around for a throw down but no throw down was found. The Rat soon had the cache in her paws. She stamped the logbook and the cache returned to it's hiding place.A fave point awarded. Tftc
In the area today with a cacher who was yet to do this cache so I thought a check was in order. Thought it would be a good time to remove the extra cache that had been left, but we couldn't find that! The original cache was still in its place and in great order. I have added some text to the hint to assist people who have had DNF's here.
Went past the first room and was a nope for me, subsequently turned around after seeing candles and bones and thought thafuq am I doing in here and piss bolted for the entrance. Don't do by yourself...
We had seen the FP and 2/2 rating on this cache when looking at caches for our trip to Adelaide but hadnt read the actual cache page!!! Upon arrival we saw what was needed and decided to do this one on another trip as GMelb didnt want to get so muddy so early in the day lol
Next year we'll try again (as long as it has been found in between)
Next year we'll try again (as long as it has been found in between)
Had this on my wishlist for a couple of years but wasn't brave enough to try it. Today I enlisted the help of some friends - jojoizzgib- and having sent the kids in first, followed them in. Lots of critters but none too bothersome, searched, turned rocks over, had the children digging in small places but no luck The fox skeleton was still there and the car seat along with some candles also still there. We saw the drop, with a rope hanging in, but no way we were going that way. Disappointed that we couldn't find it, but the search was great fun I will put a watch on this one and if it's found, we will go back and look again TFTCC
Returned to the tunnel with WayneAPN after targeting some high terrain caches nearby.
We did a thorough search through the tunnel, turning over every rock and sifting through the dirt for a considerable time. After both of us did 2 passes we felt the cache has gone missing, so decided to add a replacment cache, which is now a film canister.
A fun place to explore - really enjoyed this one!

Went to this one back on 1/5/22 with Weredunn4. Unable to find it back then after a decent double search, everywhere. High muggle area.
Researched some more, and located the You Tube video on this mine [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cw0HfYNrD8I&t=28s] Must be going back a while as the Fox in the video at 2.38 doesn't look like this now. The car seat is still there
Also located a tiktok video, where someone had commented "I've explored every single passage in this old mine. It's used for satanic rituals and people sesh in there now"
Being in the area today with Weredunn4, and after doing some high Terrain and tunnel/cave caches. We decided to pay this one another visit. Noted that there has been 2 other logged finds since. Maybe we didn't have a good enough look last time.
Noted more debris and rubbish here that wasn't there last visit. So gets some usage.
Both of us combed the place thoroughly twice by each of us. Explored the little room off to the left [the one mentioned in the description] Digging around and moving rocks and debris to no avail. Searched the tunnel leading up to the room. Once again rocks, rubbish, debris all moved and searched. Combing through loose soil just in case it has been partially or fully buried. NOTHING!! at all.
Extended our search to the remainder of the mine. Nothing - came up empty handed.
Decided to replace the cache. Located as per the description.
Thanks for the fun adventure in this old mine. FP given

Squeezed in here for an adventure with WayneAPN - an awesome place to hide a cache, but after 20 mins of turning rocks over we didnt find anything.
Back home Im reading the logs (no phone service outside GZ either) - probably need to come back for a very thorough look another day.

After being questioned as to why a ‘mountain goat’ was required here, I met the questioner at an event today, chatted, had a snag, more chatting and laughing then headed off with a ‘mole’ in tow leaving the ‘mountain goat’ behind to find this cache.
WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER - Thank you Locus Cache

After going up, further down, i decided to try again at going in, with this one i had DNF'd so long ago and after about what seems like 8 more attempts unsuccessfully, i decided to try one more time this time with a way more powerful torch
In i went, with dirty knees and hands too [:o] [B)]
I was looking here, looking there making all the same mistakes as before so this time i wasn't going without finding it. After looking with no luck... again, i shifted my thinking and noticed something and decided to inspect and Yes! Bingo!!
I have finally found this Old Gentleman Cache that was a nemesis to me for years but now today {Thursday the 27th of August 2020} it is a Nemesis no more!
Under torchlight i SL at 12:25.
This well hidden cache to say the least earns a Favorite Point no doubt for it's location, age and quality of hide [^]
All is good in the cache but the log book was mildy moist so Moisture Munchers were added

I’m working on a personal challenge to find all traditional caches within 5km radius from home. This cache is within the zone so it was targeted today.
Having tried and failed at this cache earlier in the year, today I returned with a better torch and more determination. I was further motivated by some recent finds so I was confident I could get my name in the book.
Not sure why, but on my last attempt I didn’t read the very helpful hint in the description. Once inside I targeted the hinted search area and found the cache after a short search.
So very satisfying to make a find here. Awesome cave with an equally impressive camouflaged hide. Definitely worth a fav point.
Thanks for the cache Gunnell & Pandaabear,(Team Holden),adopted brisal5.

12,000th woo hoo!
This was a very painful but awesome cache, as always Davidwazza and I were very under prepared to find this one, with no hint or cache description. We just went into the cave and searched madly, Davidwazza went for it and we practically searched the entire thing, after about 45mins the GPS finally muteness in and we read the hint, it was about the only place we had left to search. We continued on but still nothing was to be found. We hung our heads and left the cave, we drove away and called the CO, oh it’s and oldie is there. We later returned and after a short search
the cache was found.

One of my last available evenings free this evening before travelling this weekend, I asked if [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) was available to find some of my targeted caches east. The primary one was *Amongst Ya Dirty Knees!* that was recently promoted by Geocaching SA. As it so happened, [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) celebrated his 12,000th find during the evening. As it always happens, we finished up way later than expected, and I was fairly exhausted by some of the higher terrain caches that we found.
Wow, what an adventure this one was! I was surprised to not have heard about this one before it was mentioned by Geocaching SA, and while [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I were discussing possible caches out this way, he mentioned we should do this one. I was sold, but again, I hadn't really done much preparation or research beforehand. I had my trusty torch, but even making the drive along Gorge Road wiped my online data to an area without any signal/coverage, and I hadn't downloaded the geocache offline (let that be a lesson!). We did have my GPS, and so had that loading while we made our way in.
The tunnel was a bit of a squeeze, and wasn't the most pleasant in shorts (nice long jeans would have been awesome). We crawled past the nest of midges / flying little bugs, as the tunnel opened up past all the rubbish. We continued exploring along the tunnel, and made our way into what was a gothic sacrifice chamber... a small room with car seat, and many small candles burnt out and placed around the place. An interesting spot, as we continued to scour for the cache. With no options there, we continued deeper and deeper, and came across the large shaft. [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) appeared to recall photos of Geocachers in here, and figured the cache was within that section. I went down whilst continuing to diligently look in the shelves, nooks and crannies, with no signs of a cache. I then started digging around the bottom, but wasn't holding much confidence of an intact cache when there was broken glass, bottles, and a half used flare burnt nearby. I returned up, and we continued to discuss where this geocache could be.
We had another small room to look, and by this time, the GPS still hadn't loaded, so we did a reset. I crawled through into the small room, and still no cache. This room was a lot muddier and soft. There appeared to be another smaller tunnel leading off, so I thought I needed to try that room, and so continued to search even more deeper. This room was probably the only room I had felt the most uncomfortable, as the walls were soft-ish mud, and loose dirt. Once I had a good look and only finding empty beer bottles and cans, I returned to the main room. Sigh. One hell of an adventure, but still no cache.
The GPS had finally turned on, and we realised our searching was excessive than it needed to be. We returned back towards the start of the tunnel as the hint suggested, whilst still searching around the place. Once we were as per the hint, we searched hard. It had been about an hour of us being underground by now, and both [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I were determined to make this find. After performing a detailed search, we admitted defeat to exit the cave, and wash off.
We managed to find an area above Corkscrew Road to have phone signal service to make a PAF to the CO. His reply seemed to only reiterate the hint. However with some better advice, we returned, and this time after five minutes, I made the cache find in a well constructed location. It was well made, but I just felt unnecessarily difficult to find. It already had decent camouflage, but still hidden away from any Geocachers (no wonder why there were so many DNFs in the past). Despite the difficulty in locating, it was still a great location that we would have never known about or visited had it not been for geocaching. A Favourite Point from me, thanks Gunnell & Pandaabear (Team Holden) for the cache placement and finding the location, and to brisal5 for its ongoing maintenance.

Took a drive through gorge road and stopped for a couple of caches. Statistics weren’t great with only 1 find and 2 DNFs. But I had fun anyway.
I have been wanting to do this cache for years. Have driven past dozens of times but it was never convenient to stop and get dirty.
Today this cache was the main mission. Armed with head light and hand held torch, I reverse cammando crawled down. I spent a good 20 mins searching but came up empty. I will return with an extra set of eyes hopefully soon.

Out and about for a caching day with LiB & brisal5...
We stopped here on the way to Black Hill as brisal5 was keen to adopt this old & interesting cache...
I crawled in after him and LiB followed...
Cache located and still in good condition...
Thanks for bringing me here and keeping this cache alive, brisal5

After finding the older cache many years ago I ventured once more into the mine with LiB and Hevwalker. After a short search (due to Lib having found this incarnation) the cache was located and found to still be in great condition.
The memories of the old hide and my small venture further along the shaft came flooding back. But with my torch fading I only went as far as the tree roots dangling through the roof.
once again I emerged dirty and with a little blood on the noggin.
Seeing the cache needed a new CO - I couldn't let it just be archived and offered my services.
Many thanks to Gunnell and Pandaabear for setting up the cache and Team Holden for Maintaining the cache over the years. I have big shoes to fill.

Was hoping for this one for my 500th, but no luck. Still, that was an extremely cool experience.
Hi
Due to mobility issues I'm looking for a new CO for this cache.
If you wish to take this over, drop me a message and I'll transfer to you.

[Sat 2 June 2018] I love these kind of hides but I do not love not being able to find them [:o)]…. "Went In" with torch in hand and spied some nice hidey spots but nothing just before that first room presented itself [v] Oh well, I must be cache blind ha ha [:o)] I will have another go after I see a 'Found It' log after my DNF.

Thanks for the cache Gunnell,Pandaabear and team holden, arriving a bit early and with childish excitement and against the wife's advice decided to give this cache a shot solo.Explored the main tunnel and a couple of the smaller ones before reading the detailed description and having a real look for the cache which was soon in hand.Signed log, replaced and exited just as the main group arrived.

Out with cache ism for a few hrs. No luck on this one however there was alot of rubbish. Very cool location
Was caching with Tank and Linda from 3LG when we drove by this cache.
Have wanted to do this for a few years and today was my chance.
Luckily it was a lovely day weather wise and no rain so we didn't have to get too dirty.
Can see that this would be an interesting place to explore further in but no torches other than a phone today was not the day.
TFTC and yes a fav point.

Find number 1395
Found while out on a caching adventure with Snap Happy, AnyMules and KiwiOzzie,3LG, Sneaky Squeaky and SirSpectre. After tackling some high T caches in Black Hill, we headed into Glynde for a coffee before heading home. It was while having a drink that the conversation turned to this cache and many of us had not done it so we decided to head back into the hills to knock it off the "To Do List". Once we got to the entrance, we headed into the mine like I had some months ago. We arrived where we had previously looked and much to our surprise, there was the cache looking very "fresh and new" despite it containing an old log.... I must say ...I was puzzled as to how four of us, including a previous finder could have missed this last time we were here but at least my name is now in the log book.
This was a fabulous day of fun laughs, slips, trips and adventure....The best caching days are ones that are memorable because of time spent with good friends and great caches...Today ticked all the boxes. This is such a beautiful location, I never would have come here if it were not for caching.
Thanks Team Holden for placing and maintaining this cache.

After climbing up and down hills for most of the day, it was a pleasant change to do something a little different. TFTC. 31/07/2016, 4:33 PM Find #2472
Loved the cache and the location! It's not the first time I've been on hands and knees for a cace tho, but I think this was a bit skinnier at the start TFTC 31/07/2016 4:36 pm Find #1438

After hiking up hills all day, it was time to literally go in the hill. Got the dirtiest I got all day doing this cache. Good to get this one off the watch list and on the smiley list finally. fav point.
Having been up, down and across Black Hill for most of the day we stopped off for a well earned coffee break and to rest the weary legs when talk of this cache became our next impromptu GZ. We have been eager to do this one since we first heard of it over a year ago The crew were all up for it and so we set off to head into a hill and not atop a hill. In went Tomboy, SneakySqeaky, Mr 3LG, sir_spectre, KiwiOzzie followed by Mrs 3LG... and then I got stuck... for a brief moment I wasn't going anywhere and was blocking the entrance, finally got the knee to bend and unstuck myself and continued on with AnyMules at the rear while previous finder Snap Happy dozed in the car. GZ was very fresh & clean, like new, yet the logbook dates back to 2014 and the cache was already being signed before the last of us got inside. Went for a wander to the end, looked at the cool glistening display nature put on for us, took a photo or three and headed back out to find another one or two in the area. A neat spot earns a fave point for the location
Thought I'd grab a TB or two and take them for a drive today.
I'd previously and reliably been informed the cache is in place and in good condition, but needed to check for myself.
Must admit that this location is becoming a bigger rubbish repository than Mount Wingfield ever was.
Not sure what the lifespan is left in this location for the Geocaching community to explore.
Just a reminder to all cachers, just because a cache gets a DNF doesn't mean its not there.

Contacted the CO in April... after three DNF's ...really hoping to see this back on line soon.
After messaging the CO I went back to check on this one a few days later with a previous finder....Still no luck... I'm sure this has gone... there was a lot of rubbish in there but no cache.
Out and about with Tomboy711 and SnapHappy. We had a thorough look for this one but it looks like it has gone AWOL. Thanks anyway for bringing us to a cool spot.
This was to be the 2nd of 4 dnf's for us today, it was a trend. But what do you expect when 1 team member forgets to pack the torch, so armed with a mobile phone torch *giggles* we tried anyway. we will be back and better prepared. Fantastic location and one Steve was very keen to go into when I told him where we were headed, he was in there for a good 20 mins, I think he was looking at the awesome location more than looking for an awesome cache lol I ofcourse was happy to entertain the girls on the outside! a bit of rubbish removed from the entrance. we will be back great spot.
Had seen the video for this years ago but didn't know the location. Happened to do a cache search at break on a nearby work site, read description and thought it has to be it and yes it was. Awesome cache.
[green]Cache #11 of the day and Find # 5422[/green]...
After attending Moneydork's geocaching birthday event, I found myself tagging along with locus cache, RideTheGeoWalrus, AndyColumbia and parislaura to complete one I 'must do'...
A beautiful drive from the event to the cache and also getting me in here is the reason for the fave... Beautiful part of Oz...Will certainly be back when there is more daylight left...
A bit of a crawl, a bit of a search, made the grab, stamped log & replaced... This could be fairly difficult to find but as we had a previous finder with us, it was located as we arrived at GZ... Thoroughly enjoyed this one...
My sincerest thanks to the CO for the effort gone into this cache... I have seen many beautiful area's that I would not of seen or experience if not for your hide..

Ok so back in 2012 I logged a DNF for this cache, back then a scarey old dead fox scared the beejeebers out of the little people who dashed out of the cave screaming!
Today at a 15 year geocaching event a few people were talking about going out and getting this one and I decided that with no kiddies attached I would join in the fun. I am not going to lie, I do have a bit of a fear of climbing into dark places, I really did hesitate, but after a few of our group went in, I got some courage, hopped on my knees and got in and dirty with the rest of the crew.
Luckily I had a previous finder with me because seriously I am positive I would have missed the new cammo on the cache, that is seriously tricky and unless you happened to tap onto the right spot you would definitely miss this one.
I am very happy to now be able to claim a smiley on this cache! TFTC

After attending Moneydork's geocaching birthday event, I found myself in a troupe with locus, SnapHappy, AndyColumbia and ParisLaura with the aim of grabbing a particularly dark cache.
Oh yes, there was dirt alright. Last time I came looking for this one it was missing, and I found myself checking high and low, up and deep down looking for the hide. With the owners permission we replaced the hide that day, but I never claimed a find. Today was a different story, and after charging in first, I was soon followed by locus, andy and geodog brodie who did not want to leave his owners side. Grabbed some great photos of the roots covered in moisture and then we were joined by ParisLaura and SnapHappy. After a little more exploring, we made our way back out. Very worthy of yet another favourite point.
This was find number 2 of 3 for the night for me. TFTC Team IMP666!

Seriously wow. What a brilliant cache!
But a 1:2 rating? Really?? Lots of DNFs seem to suggest those numbers should be larger!
This was the second of three caches planned for today with Grumpi68. The first had taken us a long way under Kent Town along First Creek. This one was going to have to do well to match that.
Well it did.
We found a good place to park and approached the entrance. Head first or legs first? Snake season. Hmmm. Legs with boots and thick jeans win.
In we go. Clouds of insects. Try not to breathe.
Quietly confident because we had seen a video which we thought would help.
But...
the video showed the right mine, but not the right cache! It's not there!
Ok. Don't panic. The recollection of all those DNFs are balanced a bit by the CO's repeated assurances that it is still there.
Repeated.
Hmmmm.
Okay time to use all senses.
Look, touch, smell, listen. Okay maybe not taste.
Sixth sense?, spidey sense? common sense even?
Wait a minute. One sense has worked!
Oh wow. Here is the cache. Very impressed. That could have been missed for a long time. A long long time.
And it's not the one in the video. But it is the right one. It all fits now.
That's just got a fav point.
Dipped some TBs.

On to cache number 3. Now where would a Big Kahuna hide?

09.11.14 found with brad&janet while we were still wet and muddy from doing the "it's dark in here" cache so we're well prepared to get down and dirty, enjoyed looking for the cache, and got s pleasant surprise when we stumbled upon it, we didn't go much further in as it was getting late in the day, thanks for the cache
Finalmente !! We give it a try one more time, after 2DNF, finally the cache show to us his sneaky hide ^^ and we figured out why we missed last time
Mrs Minion and I pulled up close to entrance noticed a car parked close but on other side of the road perhaps other people are on the hunt we thought. as we went into the bowels of the beast we could hear people talking but couldn't see them. A bit further in we bumped into of all things muggles X3. they have been caching before but didnt stick to it, so we let them in on the secret. And they let us in on their secret. they do a lot of caving up and around the hills areas and gave us directions of how to find these mines that the government haven't closed up. Any way found a new hobby and hopefully a few places to stash caches. We have been looking for this cache for ages thanks very much. tnsl great hide. favourited
07:30 On a beautiful Saturday morning and I've got dirty knees again, three times in one week is a little too much to bear.
This a note to let everyone know the cache is in fact where the description states.
If you have done some of my caches you may have a fair idea of where to look. All the clues and hints are in the cache name and description.
Cache is NOT anywhere near the recent digs.
PathTag prize for the next to find.

My second trip down the rabbit hole and this was equally unsuccessful.
I teamed up with Andy Colombia today and was feeling confident of a find.
Two men entered and two men returned, empty handed. We went all the way
to the end and back, scouring the tunnel for signs of a cache. Instead we
found digging tools, beer bottles and signs of a new mining operation???
If the cache was here it is now buried in newly quarried soil.

Furrangel and I accompanied Team IMP 666 to this one as he was doing some mantinace.
Years and years I have driven past that hole thinking where does it go. Well we had a good explore to the end of the tunnel... Crikey you gotta becareful down there... its a little wet and you can easly slip off the edge.. So warning to all... Found the existing cache so that was a bonus but it seems to move :S So we have repositioned it and it shouldn't move this time... hint hint...
On time of logging this I have noticed the DNF... the answer is in the description

I had heard great stories about this cache, and I'm no stranger to exploring old mines as there is a similar one near home, so I decided to head out into the hills to find the cache! Upon discovering the entrance I eyed off the landslide, but nothing gets in-between me and a geocache! I grabbed the torch, gps, the stamp and the pen and headed into the darkness. That's when I saw the car seat, I was cautious approaching it as from a distance it looked slightly like a sleeping (or dead) human. I soon discovered that it was just a car seat and ventured deeper. I saw an area that looked promising so got down on all fours and squeezed in, nope, just an old beer bottle and a spider. I continued deeper into the mine, noticing the pickaxe marks on the walls of the tunnels. As I was heading further into the tunnel I suddenly spotted it out the corner of my eye, the cache! After signing the log I decided to go a little further in and then head back as Dad would be wondering what had happened, and the last thing I wanted was him to go crawling in looking for me without a torch! On a side note there is a similar mine up on a farm in Brownhill Creek, goes into the side of a hill, branches off in a few directions and ends with a pit! My friend attempted to abseil into one of these pits by wedging a stick between two of the walls of the mine in Brownhill Creek and tying a rope to it! He was successful finding only a bunch of old animal bones! Thanks for the adventure IMP666!
At 4 in the morning, as the temperatures are dropping, Dennis dropped off pk, RTGW and me at Locus Cache's car.. We drove up to the cache and i didnt know what to expect! Pk and RTGW went inside head first! But i couldnt figure how to go head first! It was just : unthinkable! I sat at the edge of the entrance thinking... "Should i go, how should i? I should go...but i cant go inside! Lets go...but!!...." And then locus said you dont have to go head first! Aha! I could go feet first! That made it sooooo much easier! Went in, kept talking to the boys to keep it calm (the "keep calm and find the cache@ mantra playing in my head)
While the boys ventured deeper inside(this does sound so wrong), i looked around closer to the entrance! But cache wasn't there. I got out and asked Locus if we could replace it..she said yes! I signed the log and gave it to the boys to sign it n hide the cache in its original hiding spot! They got out safely too! Locus took pictures of us!
Tftc ! This cache was fun!
FP awarded!

We went to a short trip with the local geocaching celebrity and stopped at this interesting spot. Well, where is the access to the cache? Our host just smiled and laught - it was obvious what has to be done! And we did it Crawled on all fours and so on ...
We loved the cache! And thanks to owner for this "found" log permission!

Visited here today with an international geocaching family.
I was a tad fearful as we walked up though, as a landslide had occurred and I thought the entrance was covered
Thankfully, the landslide finished about a metre or so from the entrance! The visitors loved it [^]

After picking up Dr Owl for a fun days caching we find ourselves here for our first joint cache for the day, we park just down the road and get close to GZ, I think its across the road Dr Owl ... I think it is *in* there, we are going to need a torch for this one. Back I go and as I'm heading back who should be beeping at us? None other the CPwanderer ... what are the chances?
He makes a swift U-turn and parks behind, CP knows exactly what we are doing, so has come to watch the 'fun'. hehe.
SO the 3 of us go back to GZ and it is decided that I'm not near petite enough so CP takes my place, I'm sure I could have done it, but would be lower then Knees, so discretion and all that, still it is a great hide and fav point worthy.

Knightyme had picked up Owl for an afternoon’s caching before the big event and this cache was on the way. Owl was standing at the entrance, trying to pluck up enough courage to enter when CP wandered by. He assured her that it was easy and kindly accompanied her down the rabbit hole, despite not being in the best of health. Owl emerged very sandy and with stuff in her hair, but with a cache and without a TB. Thanks for the adventure!
Wasn't in my Sunday best but also wasn't really dressed for this short adventure......... great fun .... brought back memories as I remember wandering in here as a kid when we thought nothing of venturing up cliffs and down holes!! Thanks for the hide!!!!
Teamed up with Tiger_Muffin for an incident-free day in the Gorge. Found the spot without a problem, but a torch was required. TM did the fun stuff, on his knees. Tossed me the cache, but I couldn't open it as try I might. TM got it to turn a bit, using his tiger muscles, but it remained sealed. Used the nearby ARMCO to provide a sharp edge to persuade the lid to come off. Signed and logged it.
Thanks for the cache, Team IMP666

This is one of the reasons I love caching! Spotted the hole in the wall. Malco! supervised the mission while squeezed my way through the entrance and into the blackness. A little bit of Expecto Petronum and a bit of crouched walking and the cache was found. Tossed it back out to Malco!, extracted myself, signed the log and the made the return journey. Great cache! T_IMP666.
Loved this adventure! It started out with a wander around the wrong side of the road. Some great exploring there! Then on to explore the cave... All four of us fit inside and with our handy phone torches the cache was soon in hand. Found with Rather be Sleeping.

This is the place which started us caching. Around a year ago I found this place via other interests. A couple of months ago I watched a video on you tube about the place and the explorer in the video grabbed the cache.... I wondered what a cache was????.... Googled it... And the geocaching adventure begun!!!! Thank you very much for this cache.
I guess this was my first park, crawl, and grab. Other than the small entrance/exit it was a pretty straightforward find using my headlamp. Thanks!

Well, I had trouble spotting the entrance even while standing right in front of it, so what hope did I have for the cache!! Anyway, after summoning up my courage I disappeared underground and re-appeared some time later after making an easy find. A real adventure and well worth a favourite! Thanks Team IMP666.
MEGA FAVE POINT. I loved climbing through this one. We paused for a minute to reflect on our poor dead foxy woxy tunnel mate. Came out whistling the tune from the Great Escape. TFTC
What an adventure! Found with a Squirrel, more like a tunnel rat if you ask me. A Raccoon and Trout held the torches and were there for support.
With no reception, we parked here to look for another cache and realised this one was nearby. Had to search around a bit before we found the obvious cache hide. Bek-theraccoon and I were inappropriately dressed so waited outside with torches, looking very suspicious each time a car drove past. What a nice sneaky spot to pop a cache! Thanks for the fun we had retrieving this cache!
This is a good example of a time when an iPhone will let you down while caching!
Traut, Squirrel, Stompy and I headed up this way in pursuit of 'Sixth' which is just up the road but when we got within about 1km of the cache, the phone (on Telstra, mind you) lost all reception. Where we pulled up the GPSr seemed to think we were just about on top of this cache so we thought we'd have a look around - just with the name of the cache to guide us.
Stompy spotted the entrance and called us over and we all agreed that this is probably GZ. The boys went in as Traut and I didn't have caching appropriate clothes - and they were even nice enough to bring the cache out for us to sign too.
A very cool cache that deserves another favourite point
I also left a Butterfly TB in the cache for the next finder.
Traut and I are claiming this find for the Scouts Geocaching Competition on behalf of our team, 'Schnaut'

This was our 8 of 21 for todays cache hunt, Find number 1589 at 11:35:00 AM
We are out and about grabbing a couple of caches whilst trialing the new camper, what better way than with a weekend away.
Wow, so we have togo in there? Off you go honey, I will wait in the car and start writing this log.
GeoH and Kaye got on their hands and needs and they were off into the darkness.
All you could see from the car was a pair of sandals sitting there waiting for their owner to come back out.
Well, I hope they can come back out.
Sitting here waiting, watching the entrance and counting the number of idiots wriding push bikes up this hill.
oh here we go, 2 bodies emerging from the cave. Covered in dirt lol, but both smiling.
One dirtier than the other and spitting out the dirt lol.

I was out for some caching with Tigersden for the day
I attempted to find 11 caches today and I found 10 and had 1 DNF
We had some laughs and enjoyed a great day together
I had been wanting to do this cache for a very long time, ever since I heard Muff1 talk about it!
How much fun was this despite the dead creature inside the tunnel
A lovely cool spot on a very hot day and, apart from the dust, a quick easy cache find

Found It!
2000th find! and what a cache!
Just over 3 years ago I found my first then 7 months ago I found my 1000th.
Very odd little place indeed. What was it there for? Where does it go? How did you find it? Why is there half a car seat in there? So many questions. I saw three other openings on the way back through the gorge so there must be a whole maze of tunnels under this hill. One day I'll have to come and explore further...

I have wanted to do this cache for about a year. Thought it would be harder than it was and it was certainly great fun to do this cache with my friend Brian from brisal5 while Aussie Mark stood as a guard at the opening. Funny when we went right past where the cache was, then had to return to where Aussie Mark could hear us to read out the description....lol. Love it when we head into a cave/mine chamber without reading the cache description. Loved this cache for the place it took me to. TFTC.
After a long working week it was time for some night caching with Aussie M&M. Must have been a big build up of dirt in the entance as had to go in on belly. Mary followed and Mark stayed outside with the mobile, expecting the worse and ready to dial 000. The sun was setting but didn't matter in here. Basil Brush died some time ago as he no longer smells. Forgot why I was there and just kept exploring until Mary said it's only 15 metres in. Went back to first 'room'and another belly crawl to search out the cache. Bit hard to open but signed log and out we went. Would have like to explore some more! Thanks Gunnell & Pandaabear. Loved it and got absolutely filthy!
It might sound strange but this was a quick find. hands and knees did not work but a belly crawl worked.
Shine the torch around and there it is. The fox is still there. It is not alive.
Back home for a shower. I did get a little dirty.
TFTC Gunnell & Pandaabear,
Have a point for the crawl.

Simpson of a down and myself made sure we did this at night for a higher scare factor. also made sure i got a good photo with the infamous dead fox. he definitely doesn't look like he is gonna hurt anyone. Reasonably easy find. great experience, glad im not too claustrophobic.... TFTC
Found it with Thophie. Pretty hard to open the sucker, had to remove it and get some tools from the car to get it open. Awesome location for a cache and i got a great photo of Thophie with the fox to remember it.
