Took me a little while to find, but the hint and previous logs helped. It's always nice to find older caches, thanks for keeping this one going. TFTC

Cache find 246Beautiful view at this beach. Took a bit of searching but found it the cache is in good conditionSigned as LHGTftc

23-Sep-24
Visited here today for the third time. I'm of the view that the coordinates are likely up to 10 metres out as searching within 5 metres of the coordinates the first couple of visits, I found nothing. The fifth set of stairs according to the hint was indeed where i found the cache quite quickly, but my gps had me nearly 10 metres away from the given coordinates, so perhaps the CO could double check the coordinates here. Reasonably quiet for a Monday morning. Had to abandon my search for one passing muggle and then turned back around. Wasn't sure I was going to be able to get the log out for a moment and then it budged. Another muggle was on their way from the beach as I signed the log and I quickly did that and was keen to return the cache and be on my way before they approached. They must have gone the other way. Thanks to muzza for placing this one.

22-Sep-24
Found it! Signed. Thanks for the cache

After chatting with Sims_family this morning, we decided to head out and chip away at our goal of finding 20 caches in each Victoria Local Government Area. So after picking Mr Sims_family up, we went to Melbourne to see how many we could grab. The weather had looked a little ominous as we left, but the evening was quite pleasant, and we didn't encounter any precipitation until we were almost home.An excellent evening of caching was had with only one DNF to blot our copybook.A nice quick find was made here, as we picked up the cache almost by accident.Thank you, Muzza, for this Traditional cache.

A fun disguise and great location TFTC

09-Jul-24
Thought I would, but couldn't. Did try at night although the logs show night finds.

22-May-24
Confusing hint

20-May-24
I had come to Hampton to try my hand at Multi there and part way through it, I took some time out to chase out some Trads... starting with this one. I will admit that after failing to find two of the CO's caches yesterday, I did approach this one with some trepidation... and so it was with much relief that I found it without much difficulty. I will note though that the Hint was much more accurate for me today that the coordinates. Thanks **Muzza** for this cache

29-Apr-24
I tried twice (early morning and mid afternoon) to locate this one where the coords lead me but to no avail. There are too many possibilities on either side of the path and the hint could apply to most of them. With the muggle traffic this one defeated me.

26-Apr-24
What a lovely spot to watch the boats and listen to the water! Saw two doggos while searching, and then finally found it. Great hide, TFTC

23-Apr-24
Out and about tonight on a classic midnight run, an absolute lifesaver for fuel and time efficiency when doing my streak. Once again being up this way I was more than happy to go out and pick up two nice and quick trads before heading back home for some well needed rest. This one was rather quick and easy, with the little cache itself sticking out like a sore thumb. All in all was a lovely night time walk! Thanks for the cache and the little adventure!

14-Apr-24
What a sneaky little guy! TFTC

Thank god for the hint, I dont recon I would have found it without it certainly not when Claude was wandering around the 6th set like a muppet tftc

02-Feb-24
Genuinely surprised Benlinus could countyou learn something new everyday. Counting was essential though cause GPS is shocking in the area TFTC!

27-Jan-24
A quick found after visiting the farmersmarket! Thanks from the Netherlands

26-Jan-24
Took two tries to find. Also it is not a bison tube.

08-Jan-24
Thanks to the fantastic hint, this was a relatively fast find. At first glance, I thought, "that looks a bit suss", but clearly not suss enough as I focused on the wrong side of the path. As I was about to give up (almost 5 minutes - I have a short attention span), I gave that suss item a go, and sure enough, it was what I was seeking! Very sneaky... Thanks for keeping this one alive for so many years; I love the oldies.

14-Dec-23
Out and about on PTV today, heading for an event to meet 'Auntie Therese' from Switzerland. Afterwards I teamed up with Muzza to grab a few caches in the general area of a few 'burbs. Having the CO in tow pointed me in the correct area and the cache was soon located, signed and returned as found. Thanks Muzza for placing this special cache.

19-Nov-23
Belated log from last weekend. Had a decent search here with nobody passing by in the time I was there, but unfortunately no find was made. Thanks muzza.

06-Nov-23
In the area picking up some bayside caches. After a bit of poke around I spotted something out of place and it turned out to be the cache. The log was packed in so tight I was unable to extract without absolutely destroying it.Thanks for keeping this golden oldie alive.

06-Nov-23
Unfortunately have to give up un this one. Did quite some searching, but more and more muggles came, so decided to leave it. Would have loved to see the cleverness of this one. Smile

Sneaky

10-Oct-23
Marshalls Geelong found this cache today,Clever cache! Blends in well to the surroundings. This one too a few minutes, luckily there is no muggles around during the day. I agree with the previous log that this is harder than 1.5. TFTC!

03-Sep-23

12-Aug-23
Quick find but i would say higher than 1.5 difficulty. Unfortunately didn’t have a pen to sign the log. TFTC

30-Jul-23
Ooh - 2003! A golden oldie and a must to visit. A few metres out must be forgiven considering the ‘history’ and leaps in technology. Out and about on a multi mission in Marvellous Melbs that includes getting some ozone at sea level. Great moody views of frantic clouds building. Happy to dodge raindrops. TFTC and the FUN and a FAVE for longevity

27-Jul-23
Found quickly using the clue. Coordinates not even close - around 10m or more out. Searched for quite some time at the coordinates with no luck - then went to the clue. After confirm that the clue meant as it read, very quick find. Thanks for the hide - might be worth updating the coordinates.

12-Jun-23
Reading the previous logs I was dubious that I would find this quickly and I didn’t have much time as I had to be at breakfast in 15 minutes. But with a stroke of luck I managed to find it almost straight away as soon as a group of muggles were out of sight. Very sneaky.

14-May-23
Ready to give up but glad we didn’t

11-May-23
Oooweee very tricky!! Too many places it could be hiding

13-Apr-23
Pleased to get this following a dnf! Visiting our daughter locally and our first walk on the beach in Australia. Lovely! Tftc

10-Apr-23
Even withe the clue and GPS, I couldn't find it Sad

After successfully completing the Hunt for Red October, B & C still had a little spare time before needing to be back in the sporting precinct to pick up F & M from the Netball. A quick scan of project-gc soon identified a couple of caches (sort of) en route which would fill empty holes in our JASMER calendar. Thats all the motivation we needed.

This was our second JASMER target for the evening, we parked up nearby and set off for GZ in the dark with nothing but a phone torch to guide our search. Fortunately the hint came in rather helpful as without it I highly doubt we would have found our target in the dark. After confirming we were in the right spot B quickly spotted something that looked like it didnt quite belong, and sure enough it didnt. Log stamped, replaced as found and we are done for the night. Only 3 smilies but definitely a case of quality over quantity for this trip.

31-Mar-23
This evening's plan was to go geocaching in the Sandringham area. For some challenges, I needed a non-traditional, a
Mystery and a Multicache for today. I was aiming to halve the number of caches that I needed for my next milestone planned for the Mega. Unfortunately the traffic, my inability to see an obvious geocache and the rain was a big hamper to my plans.

Took a little while to spot, even with good coordinates and the hint. Only slightly drizzling now, which meant that it might have taken me over 5 minutes to find, but didn't see anyone that whole time about 5 pm on a Friday.

Thanks for the cache Muzza
Hunter

04-Mar-23
Took some searching then following the hint to find. I was a little high up. Camo may need a little tlc as part has split off.

Thanks Muzza for the cache.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".

So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

**Thanks to Muzza for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Must be our lucky day as this was a quick find. The hint helped lots and was spot on.
Thank you.

31-Oct-22
A muzza micro. Almost had me beat. Gave up, then went back for one last look and spotted something suss. There we go. That's damn good. Real good. Old school cacher, places you're likely to spend a lot of time at. Someone came past asked if I had lost something. Said I was playing a game. Oh, Geospacing? Yeah something like that. Thanks Muzza.

25-Oct-22
Loved this one! It’s had me fixed a few times but I went back today with determination. Almost gave up and then all of a sudden it became clear! Fave from me!

20-Oct-22
Nice to find this really old cache. GPS had me looking for too long until I concentrated more on the hint. Thanks for placing & maintaining!

On a midnight adventure with Geoturtle37, we decided to add some trads to the tally.

Struggled at first, then after reading a few logs, and reading the hint, expanded our search area. Cache found soon after. Woohoo!

Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Muzza

We DNF'd this cache in April 2021 and it was replaced soon after. We'd not been back to this part of Vic until now and as we were driving through the area I remembered it so SSR and I parked close by and walked over for a look. Maybe we counted form the wrong place, so I went a little further and found it quickly. Stoked to avenge the DNF, and to find an oldie.
Thanks for keeping this alive Muzza

We had DNF'd this cache on our last visit so as we got near we talked about having anotehr look and after a short walk we avenged our last visit and added our names to the log.

Thanks for keeping this old important cache alive, theer cant be any of these left! I've just looked and GSAK says there are less than 100 caches in VIC that are older than this one.

This was a long weekend of caching that we had planned to take toolman on with us when he had recovered from what his doctor call a 'tune-up' but due to a delay here and a setback there all he could manage was a catch up over coffee on Saturday morning, it's been a while so it was nice to just have a chat. In the end it was a Friday to Monday trip where myself and goose searched for a small amount of caches to help fill a few of our grids, it was a few days of mixed weather but we still had a good caching trip, thanks to all the COs.

Thanks for the cache.

Found with dalerious after spending a very enjoyable morning catching up with friends at the Black Rock event. One of those friends happened to be the CO of this cache, with it's very tricky little container.
Loved it Muzza and thank you for the pleasure of finding it.

14-Mar-22
Having spent most of the previous day kayaking down the Werribee river, catnap777 and I had very different plans for the Monday of our long weekend. Razz They involved a few easy access caches for various challenges we are working on, attending a Pi Day Event at BlackRock and a leisurely bit of beachcombing around Brighton to pick up just a few more to round of an absolutely fantastic anniversary weekend for us down here in the Big Smoke. [^]
The fog was just starting to lift from the bay as we made our way to GZ making for a good view of the harbour looking out over the dog friendly beach. Cool

TFTC Muzza, it was great to get our names in this diabolical old micro (which scratches another date off cat's Jasmer calalandar), and it was also great to catch up with you for a bit of a chat at the event too. Big Grin

I'll go and check this tomorrow if the weather is ok, since it's outside the COs 5km zone, and I know exactly where it is.
The difficulty rating is probably a little low as it is a tricky little cache.
