This is our second trip to this park, the first was shortly after all the lantana was cleared (and not by Captain Terror) and so for another go on our way up to Kingaroy for some much needed R & R.
Back in the late eighties I worked for Westpac and was on relief staff based in Kingaroy. It was a regular journey for me to the Bank of the Corner and many, many times I passed this park without even knowing of it's existence.
Following the co-ords recently posted we walked straight to the v tree, plowed through the dead lantana and signed our name in the log.
OMY130 thanks for the rest stop on the long drive, and geo-dog thanks you too. TFTC

Part of the Easter weekend plan was, to let our way back home be dictated by geocaches, so we created a route back home from Boondooma dam by linking cache waypoints to make our way home. Jolly Roger was one of them and what a Jolly nice spot.
After a bit of twisting and turning and reading the hint more carefully, Christine found the cache. It was all it good order, so we signed the log, but made no swaps. Forgot those swaps at home again, bu..er.
Great spot!
Thanks

A beautiful spot worthy of a cache. I had a bite to eat here as I did my thing (see previous couple of logs). Plan to spend the day here if you can and kick back, find a cache, and relax.
Thanks to OMY130 and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Thanks Team Astro,
Funny enough, I was on my way to replace/find that cache last Sunday. Our 4wd broke down within 5 k's of cache (base of Yarraman Range). After a few hours working with a local farmer, we high-tailed it back home, totally forgetting one of the reasons why we were driving there in the first place.
Got to love a friendly caching community

Replaced in the obvious well tree behind V tree. I'll send pics to owner ASAP. Beautiful spot deserving cache. Clear skies!
This one has definitely gone walkabout.
As per Jimmyproject's comments, a lot of park maintenance has been done recently. Found where it was.

A very nice spot to stop but for us this was not a smilie. There appears to have been alot of clearing and the only clue we could find was covered over with lantana.

Found with Krossbo on our second attempt at this one. No one here so we could have a good search. Co-ords were off but we still found it . . . And so have muggles by accident!!At least they signed the log!! TFTC!!
Found this one on our second attempt. Not sure why we missed it first time around. Sorry for the late logging - I don't know why we didn't log this one the day we found it, a senior moment perhaps.Cheers. TFTC
What a great spot, no one here today. Can certainly picture that it would get busy here on the weekends. T TB (strange we listed this one as not in a cache in NSW in Feb and now we have it to move on) peg L Shower cap TFTC
Lots of tree branches too many Australia Day muggles for a good search try again when it's not so busy
Stopped with Krossbo to find this one but there were too many Australia Day muggles and the GZ area was covered in chopped down branches. Needs to be looked at . . .
Looked for this cache on our way to Toowoomba on Christmas Eve. Found GZ but there has been a lot of pruning and messing around and it seems that the cache has been muggled or scraped away along with the debris. Nice little park 'though. [xx(]

Dropped in on our way home from a trip to Nanango. Our GZ matched the clue but we couldn't spot the cache today.
Driving past in the new-to-Seizer 130, so dropped in here for a picnic. It seemed only fitting for an OMY130 cache.
Great spot, and the geo-hounds enjoyed the sniff around while we searched.

This is a wonderful park - I camp nearby at Emu Creek but have never seen this place. There is a fair bit of lantana in the way - but it can be moved along. TFTC!
Happy 800th geocache to me! And a lovely spot for it, I thought it was a great day-area, and the jacaranda by the car park was just spectacular. We had a curious muggle to contend with here, so I went into distract mode while The Marble retrieved the cache itself. Muggle was asking about nearby camping areas, a topic on which I was of no help whatsoever, but at least he didn't ask what we were doing. TFTC ='.'=

Hi Cat and Bear. Your geocoin is definately in this cache. It was very cold and 'Bedmaker' and I just signed the log and hurried back to the car. Slack, I know, but at least you know your coin is safe.
Hey can someone please let me know if my Stop the Geocoin Theif coin is still in this cache or not? As it was placed a while ago and no one has picked it up.

Found with geo-uncle 'Lat&Long Junkie' on our western weekend wander. A cool spot which I'll have to keep in mind for a picnic spot one day. TFTC
Sure was cold at 5:30pm. Found the cache quickly, TN/LN/SL and quickly returned to the heated bedmobile.
Had to be very stealthy to find this one. Some local youths were playing footy nearby and may have been suspicious as to why 3 teens and 2 adults walked into a playground, stood around for a while and then left.

Quite a magical spot we would never have visited if not for geocaching. Straight-forward find. Much as I love jacarandas, as I looked at the seedlings I was reminded how this species is considered a weed in some bushland areas ... TFTC.
"Australia Day" birth of a nation
Left home on this bright sunny day and as soon as we got to within 10km of the area it was pouring cats and a couple of hundred stray dogs. So the day went on until getting to within last 50km of home trip.
Could not believe muggles (suspect geocachers as well) were this spot in the middle of nowhere. Used Geo BRAT as a diversion for a quick in sign the log as they left. Nice spot. TFTC

4/9 for this afternoon
Found at 111503KJAN09
Found during a Geo hunt that took us nearly 350km on a round trip from home to Blackbutt in the NE and then West through Yarraman to the Bunya Mountains. Then with an hour plus drive East to get back to home. Not a bad effort for a couple old farts on a Sunday afternoon drive…
Who doesn’t like an ammo box cache? The contents were a little light on so we dropped off The Munt Coin TB to give the next cachers something to look forward to.

My 4th cache today. I'd wanted to do this cache for a while as my sister lives just up the road, she actually owns the house which used to stand on this park, it was the Rangers house and was later moved.
A lovely park, especially right now with all the jacarandas!

Nice easy find in an area that I did not know existed. Found the V tree and cache was revealed. Will have to come back another time and enjoy a picnic in these great facilities, pity the road up further was blocked, could have made a lovely drive. Took TB's to move them along. Left dinosaur. TFTC.

On the route to Nanago - visiting the relatives there. Made a detour to find this cache. A nice and quick find. Alas, unable to open the ammo box to log the enclosed log book, because of the stuck and abit rust at the edge caused by the damp condition surrounding (I have no tool to open and am a female). The place is really beautiful with green lawn and nice picnic facilities. Thanks for the beautiful location and the cache.

We'd nearly attempted this one a couple of years ago as we roared past on the highway... but things weren't quite suitable that day, so it had to wait another couple of years for us to have a go at it.
We got to the day-use area easily enough only to find about 50 people enjoying some sort of a gathering there
Oh well... it looked like a good spot for lunch anyway, so we grabbed one of the tables & bought out all our stuff for lunch.
In between sandwiches (when no-one was looking) we ducked away to quickly grab the cache... an easy find. TFTC.

First for the last day of my big caching trip down into cockroach country. Without the benefit of my PDA, no clues were available, so I was scrambling up trees, looking under tables, in sheds, ect, as signal was a bit sus, and when it finally locked, had me out in the open area. Widening the search area finally located the cache trail, and a pile. And there it was. Located at 7.50am. The 57th cache on my trip.

The MadMyers found it - with everyone else on the OMY130 4WD weekend. What a great time we all had!! Perfect weather - great company - great caching and awesome (slightly scary) 4WDriving! We took a buddah and the squishy gooey playdough the Nanks dropped in as we were there!! We have been to this park about a year ago having a picnic with the Great Nan Myers - to think this was so close!!!
Was party to the find, but alas we have been here before so cannot make a claim this time around. Place is still beautiful and well worth a stop off.

I must have been past here a hundred times but never detoured into this lovely area. At least I knew where the turn off was. Sort of like driving through a catherdral on the way in and out
I arrived at GZ with a selection of breakfast pastries from the Yarraman bakery
The 'grey nomads' camped at GZ gave me some worried looks as I drove into the carpark in my pseudo 'State Forestry' vehicle.
Found the cache fairly quickly, and out of sight of the campers I signed the log book
For the more adventurous keep following the Forest drive for about a 12km rough, but scenic tour which will bring you back to the main road closer to Nanango

Found it at long last. Took a quick stopover during travels 2 weeks ago to find it, No luck.... we were constantly searching in and around the toilet block :O
2nd trip (today) located it with ease after reading the hints and using the "distance to" function on GPS.
Thanks for the great location, and easy hide.
The cache location looked like it was meant to have been covered with sticks etc so we placed some back over the cache container so it is still easily noticable when you are in the right spot but still hides the container a little.
One elderly muggle (I suspect he was a local, turned up on an old pushbike without any gear) just as we were leaving, he seemed a little shocked to see anyone there....... Weird.
