I believe the owners are no longer in Darwin. Restricted areas are not a good place for caches.
Has been a number of DNF logs including one by someone who has found it before. Area now restricted (fenced off due to aesbestos).
Went to look for this one without reading the log. Area is fenced off saying danger no entry Asbestos area. Went in anyway and cache not located.
Sounds like it's gone... It'll be archived soon if there's no activity from the owner.
Hmmmm walked to where we thought this was, seemed like a perfect little island but for no water in the "moat" and couldnt find the thing, theres also a sign saying ASBESTOS right near it, I think this one is hard to find in lots of bush, great place to visit though!
It went up in smoke or was eaten by snakes. There were signs about bugs and the aeroguard has a day off. Have been around here for more than a hour and no cache.
Regards Serendipitwo.
PS: forgot to read the logs before.

Went for a visit today and I am sad to report that the location that I expected to locate the cache has been destroyed i.e.(the location where I previously found the cache). I looked around but can find no evidence of the cache. Sad story I am forced to relate but we are at the mercy of muggles.
We came here first thing in the morning to try to beat the bugs. We did, but we didn't find the cache. There weren't too many hiding places near ground zero and we searched them all. We did find one likely spot where some rocks and sticks were scattered in disarray. Maybe the spot where the cache was?? Or maybe we were just off to a bad start?
I found GZ I found the ditch at GZ but I couldnt find anycache . I was on a quick visit from Perth . and the bugs were coming out so had to abandon hunt .A very interesting museum in the bunker , thanks for the hunt
Have been in the area several times before. Your right about the bugs, they were driving me crazy. I dropped off 'Nonni' the travel bug.
found by the Suthies visiting NT from Pt lincoln SA.

Early AM find... made for a expensive taxi ride but well worth it for a short Darwin stay... Left a couple bugs...
It was easy to find- this is the dry season and the grass is now dry. In the wet season it would be more difficult with long grass. Also watch out for holes in the ground.
too easy, good one if you are pressed for time or don't like long walks.took nothing, left some fishing tackle(use at the warf to catch a small fish, then place this small fish on a larger hook and hold on)
There weren't very many bugs around today (not than I'm complaining) so the walk though the bush was very enjoyable.
We went in the hard way along the barely distinguishable track only to find the easier approach would have been via the nearby service track!
The search for the cache took quite a while. Dodgy satellites didn't help but I think I was just having a bad day. Eventually found it just as I was about to give up.
Took the guitar and left the bell balls.
We also though it was a very appropriate place for bugs so we dropped of the Lonn TB.

A very interesting place with a great deal of history. Set out early afternoon for this one and deciding that the shortest distance between two points was as the crow flies, went off the track at the beginning. Soon saw the error of my ways in the form a a very large reptile and beat a hasty retreat back to the track. An easy find and an exciting walk.
Took New Guinea note, left Thai coins.
Many thanks SNAFUADV. [^]

Found this one no worries. Lots of ants. Swapped a kiwi for dino bouncy ball. Kiwi came from the top of Mt Majura in Canberra.
Ex nihil & I visited this site on a humid Sunday afternoon. The area nearby hs interesting historical items and stories.
There was certainly a lot less bugs than the last time I came here. We had a decoy with us (someone who the bugs like more - very useful).
Someone had been playing with matches around the area, but the cache was safe.
Took: TB Unicycle, Left: Dinosaur Bouncing Ball
Thanks, Robmc.

The last stop of the day and the actual reason we went caching today to drop of the Travel Bug Unicycle which was the winner of the OZ Bug race 2004 and is now doing a lap of honour round the country. Its next stop is Queensland for whoever wishes to take it.
We had a look around the area and at some of the history. The bunker had a 7.62mm ammo container on display that was in good nick but we left it insitu.
We walked up the path and followed the cache highway to the cache location. The blue box was very exposed from about 30 metres away as some of the camouflage must have fallen away. We replaced this when we left and it is not as exposed.
We took nothing Left the Unicycle TB.
thanks for the cache

Luckily no real bities today but found without too many problems .Took a travel bug to take home to Adelaide and left some funny money
Must have missed the TB taken by Mike by a matter of hours. Found the cache without any difficulty, but there were bugs a plenty. Maybe we'd grown soft after 4 1/2 years away from Darwin.
Left Sacagawea II Travel Bug Dog Tag which is hoping to return to the Lewis and Clark Trail in Oregon, USA.
Toyota Trekkers
PS Where did the Post-card from Dresden come from and when was it left at the cache? Will write details on its back side and try to keep track of its journey.

I covered myself in insect repellant before climbing out of my car as two other tourists were just climbing in their car to get away from the bugs.
I left TB Tecnics here.

Follow the bearing, straight lines the fastest way there until you end up at a boat ramp looking across water.

Couldn't miss it as it was sitting up like 'Jacky' without much cover at all. Replaced it with a little more cover but should still be a walk up start! TNLN, thanks.

Didn't need any help with this one as it was uncovered and quite obvious. Covered a little bit better before leaving. TNLN, thanks. Grabbed Georgia's Shoe again

I found this after a little bit of wandering in circles, not having read the log page prior to finding it. I had fun finding this one, took nothing left nothing.

Found it. A small army of angry red ants had moved in to make Bugs Galore a little too realistic. Cleared out the ants and left my notes. nothing in nothing out.

An interesting place, walked in from the car park and wrote in the log that there were no bugs of either the travelling or biting kind. 30 seconds later on the walk out something bit me through the long socks that stung like fire for about 2 minutes. Wrote too soon [B)]
Took a US nickel and left an Aussie penny. Then had an look at the nearby history exhibition, quite interesting.
Thanks SNAFUADV from another Adelaide visitor.

Found this cache fairly easily at 1750. The WWII memorial nearby is very interesting.
Bugs is right, and they bite... Ouch. Take the spray.

Excellent location - just remember that you can only visit between 7am and 7pm !!!!
A pleasant stroll led to an interesting placement. Robbie the Rat thought it was just the ants pants.

Was in Darwin for a couple of days for business, so what better way to spend a half a day on Saturday than to hire a bike, and hunt a cache! The ride from Darwin was nice, and the National Park was well worth a visit. Once at ground zero it didn’t take me too long to find the cache – but what a spot! I’d never have thought of that – and I was a little nervous about retrieving it! Especially considering the name of the cache!
I had no swaps on me, so no exchanges. But took the TB, to let it experience colder climates! (It was 32 deg C when I was here, and now, back in Canberra it is 4 deg!
Thanks SNAFUADV for a great cache – just make sure you plant another one near Darwin before my next visit!

Found this cache today. The Nokia and Bugs TB's were gone but we did pick up the Keyring TB. Just waiting for the previous group to update their finds. Had a great time here and really enjoyed the area. Thanks for the cache
What a place. We can only imagine what the people of Darwin and those who were here to protect us went through during WWII.

Found this one with Vombatus after the very enjoyable NT Caching Event. Have been coming up to Darwin for the last fifteen years and did not know that this place existed. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting the local attractions before quickly locating the cache

Got bitten to hell by midgies and sandflys ... thouroughly recommend you cover up if you plan on visiting this cache... grabbed the ice cream scoop fridge magnet.. left mini guitar... also grabbed disembodied shrek travel bug who will be heading west soon!!!! ..
Not bad. Mind, you are right about the bugs! My legs are covered in bites. Never mind, that's what you get for not coming prepared. A good easy find, even right on dusk. Didn't have anything to trade, so I took nothing but the Oinks! travel bug. It can come back to QLD with me, and be planted there. If it hasn't moved far by the end of the year, it can come to the U.S. with me. Thanks for a fun find.
Second for the day and a short stroll through the grasses. took grumble bum and left blue alien keyring man thing watch out for the ditch to the east it could hurt if you tripped.
Third for the day... a hard days work. I took the public bus ($5 for the day and got my moneys worth) and completed Great Southern Land, In The Ruff and now Bugs Galore. Pretty sure I passed those Terrortorians on their way out. I made no swaps but had a fantastic day. Thanks
Nice easy cache, nice location.
Took the snake, left a fridge magnet.
As previously written this cache is full of travel bugs.

My third geocache and Ash's very first. Took the polar bear magnet, left the bubble blower kit. Lots of bugs in here but left them because I can't see them travelling any time soon; I'll raid it next I go interstate.
Thanks. Jeremy & Ash
