Logs

18-Oct-05
This was supposed to be my first find on a cache-whoring(tm) trip by bicycle. Unfortunately, it was not to be. Could find the cache but found lots of rubbish.
Swampy. Yeah - now I find out it's been archived....

23-Jul-05
Seems that this was has been removed for the second time so will Archive it for good now.

Who knows, maybe someone else will put another cache like it near by.

Thanks to all that visited it and have fun finding it.

23-Jul-05
No activity from GoblinDust or Goddess Athena in a long time, and no answer to the email I sent regarding it missing.

As the first finder I know it isn't there after a check. If this can be archived I will replace with a similar cache as it was very good.

03-Jul-05
Went to check on this one today and it is missing.

Looking at the area the council appears to have done a lot of gardening and remulching so it must have been cleaned up at the time. Needs replacing or archiving - preferably replacing as it was a good hide.

11-May-05
By reading the logs it is clear that this is a devious cache, and I didn't expect it to be easy, but I'm beginning to wonder if it is still here? We searched on two occasions after reading ALL of the logs, but it is too clever for us. We'll wait until someone else finds it, then we'll try again.

02-May-05
I visited, I looked and looked and looked. Then I left empty handed. Will have to try again next time I'm in the area.

15-Mar-05
Easy access from the main road - not so easy to find. Poked around in the area until the early-morning traffic increased and I felt a little too obvious.

24-Feb-05
Another very cool cache box...

20-Feb-05
Evil evil evil. After logging the not found, we went ahead and read the other logs - and finally got a clue to where it was.

Took nudie bumper sticker for a practical joke on a friend, left some hair ties.

20-Feb-05
Don't know what's wrong with us but this cache is driving us UP the wall. We ended up with the GPS pointing into a private property on the other side of a fence - maybe we're looking at the wrong spot. Will try again another time.

18-Feb-05
found with Cached and Cory on our way home from running a Geocaching Display activity for Venturer Scouts

it took us a while to figure out where the cache was but eventually we got it

Our biggest problem with this cache was finding the log book. I didn't realise it was a little scroll at first and was looking to replace the 'missing' log with a book, when we located it.

I love this style of cache. It's not the location, it's the hide!

Took goblindust badge, left bumper sticker.

17-Feb-05
We drove past this evening and the cache is still there. Glad we didn't lose it for Goblindust Smile

14-Feb-05
I was located at the edge of an empty block with a buldozed site on the other side of the fence and no access signs.
Will return another time.

13-Feb-05
Argh! Should read the logs before attempting a cache.
We bush-bashed a bit (and some others obviously had) but to no avail. Maybe the cache was put up after we left.
Will try again next week-end.

13-Feb-05
Yep. It's back. It sure as heck wasn't there the other day. We were so certain where it would be that we left the GPS in the car, restoring our confidence after a DNF today elsewhere. Took a toy thingy and left a mirror ball and a toy car.

Thanks Goblindust.

12-Feb-05
Ok its back up again.

11-Feb-05
It seems as if this one has been taken so will put a new one out in its place sometime this week.

10-Feb-05
Well, we found what we thought was the obvious thing but it was not to be. Rang Team Spanner who found this cache recently. After some discussion it was decided that the cache must have gone. Maybe someone could check for us please, signs of high muggle activity and tree cutting.

05-Feb-05
Easy find but clever concealment.
Took super ball and left eraser.
Thank Goblindust and Goddess Athena.
Agreed, much too good to be archived.

05-Feb-05
Have been meaning to grab this one for a while, and we finally had some time whilst driving past today ... ingenious camo, very well done. Thanks ... it has given us inspiration for some of our future cache containers.

27-Jan-05
A very evil cache. It all made sense once we found it though. Very clever too. Took mushrooms and left a ball. Thanks.

16-Jan-05
How devious. What a great way to hide a cache. It took our second visit to find it.
Took lip gloss, left purple gel pen.

10-Jan-05
Lateral thinking must be a bit foggy today as i couldn't find it after 2 attempts, not recommended in peak hour traffic....didn't have log sheets to refer too either.(must stop making excuses)Red Face

Another good hide.

Took hair ties.
Left Something (didn't write it down)

Thanks

06-Jan-05
I looked at the cache and then moved on. Kept searching around GZ and Arrr, thats it silly.

Ten minutes after leaving it clicked.

Took: Hair clips, Left: Mushrooms (pot decoration).
Ratty et al.

We loved this cache it was very clever. One of the best hides we have seen in a while. Swapped a toy soldier for a toy soldier. Well done.

27-Dec-04
mmm thinks we sprung a fellow cacher and our e trek on the dash was proberbly a give away. Nothing in the log ? did you miss it ??? we didn't.

One of the best hides we have seen very clever and well done goblindust.

24-Dec-04
One of the most creative cache containers and hiding spots seen. Think we may try to recreate this one for our fellow cachers in Brisbane!!!

29-Nov-04
As I read the previous logs for this cache, I thought that it might take some time to find. Fortunately I was able to spot it straight away. No exchange made. Thanks for the cache.

26-Nov-04
Found on the second try, excellent camo shows that you need to actually read what the cache is called. I remember looking straight at it on the first visit but well, you know how it is. A great cache, TNLNSN.

14-Nov-04
tried for this at xmas without luck came by for another look and success. very good cache idea. looks like a lot of gardening maintainance needed so might be muggles nearby. tnln

31-Oct-04
What a great way to hide a cache!!!

Found this one at 15:55 shortly after arriving at GZ.
Obviously the only place to hide - but not immediately obvious...

Took: plastic Emu and 50c coin
Left: WWI and Australian Gold Rush figurines.

Great cache Goblindust (& Goddess Athena!)

22-Oct-04
Arrived at GZ and saw the cache immediately, which doesn't mean I recognised it straight away! Wink However, the coordinates are spot-on, so a little further investigation was called for. The cache was mine at 1120. Very clever hide. Fifth of sixteen Western Suburbs caches for the day. TFTC. TNLNSL.

13-Oct-04
Found by 4 Men and a Lady at 1745 on 13 October 2004.

Ingenious Camo but perhaps not as subtle to those a bit more familiar with the technical aspects of this camo.

Stiil very creative - well done

Left Ball and Pog
Took Turtle and Torch

Many Thanks to Goblindust in tandem with Goddess Athena

10-Oct-04
Loved, loved, loved the camo on this one! Very clever. TNLNSL.

08-Oct-04
Found quite easily after a brief search. I thought, "now that looks odd..." and it was the cache.

Thanks... TNLN

03-Oct-04
What an ingenious hide. Only the fact that I was looking for something tricky lead me to it, otherwise would never have found it. I had something specific with me to put in the cache, but alas it wouldn’t fit, so TNLNSL. Thanks Goddess Athena. You were right not to let this one die [^]

02-Oct-04
I arrived hoping reading the logs had me prepared for this one. Very clever, well done. T Earrings L 12 Hair Rings.

Best urban camo seen yet on this very well disguised cache. Area is obviously used occasionally by the odd underage drinker with a few stubbies and empty spray cans about. Well done Goblindust, and thanks to Godess Athena for administering this one.

Took: Australian Penny
Left: Tortoise Keyring

04-Sep-04
Found at 6:00pm. Parked at a nearby side street and waited until a car parked opposite GZ left.

Great container design / hiding spot. Didn't believe it could possibly be the cache at first.

Took echidna, left torch.

26-Aug-04
Found at 12.30pm
Great urban cache, cunningly concealed.
No swap
Thanks

Found by Mary & David at 1050. Enjoyed this one, and we weren't disturbed in our quick search. Great cache container and excellent disguise. Took oriental bracelet, left ceramic echidna. Our thanks to goblindust.

19-Jun-04
Recommended by Gwyndigo as a challenging cache. Brilliant hiding place. Took dollar, left penny.

14-Jun-04
Shaun clever again. Romana stayed warm and dry with sleeping Chris (1).Brilliant cammo!!!! No writing implement, so TN, but left a pen. We also met with Team CAS. Lovely to see three cars full of families having fun!!!! We know our horde think geocaching just brilliant too:)

14-Jun-04
We [too blue and C.A.S.] ran into :wg when I was going back for a 2nd go at this one.C.A.S had found it another day and Mint Slice came along to have a laugh[just as Tim Tam had done to her]. Had a look and noticed something that didn't look right so on closer touching look to my surprise their it was.
Another very ingeniously disguised cache.

Thanhs goblindust.

06-Jun-04
Found @ 2:25pm
Love the cache , GZ was pointing 5 metres west over the fence, found it within a few minutes
Took Golf ball Left Koala
Thanks goblindust and Goddess Athena

29-May-04
Really clever way of hiding this one - we only felt a little furtive wandering in the bushes listening to rustlings on the other side of the fence.
TN & LN
Thanks

26-Apr-04
TGDU with Dark Steed in tow did not find it; read the logs and was ready to turn over most things around gz. Then, angry local muggle approached and was none too happy with someone in the bushes. Rambling chat around lost cycle spanner did not seem to help, did not stay to find gz and thanked for his time / assistance.

Please note for future attempts, local advised that many 'undesireables' frequent bushes (empty bottles etc, add to validity of this perception).

Will time return accordingly.

14-Apr-04
Now I have to admit that that is the cleverest disguise I have seen to date for a cache. It fooled me once thinking "maybe that's not it afterall", but then I convinced it to release it's goodies. TNLN.

29-Feb-04
Nice Camo job - that's what urban caching is all about - not just a driveby. Thanks guys

29-Feb-04
Great camo !!!! it looks like it is meant to be there !!! didnt take us to long really but it is a very cleaver cache. more of this sort please.

Hopefully on "clean up Australia day" this area gets some attention, its pretty dirty Sad

21-Feb-04
1745HR MintSlice found this one after a short but thorough search. Great camo job Goblindust and thanks Goddess Athena for taking on the job of caretaker. TNLN

21-Feb-04
Found in pouring rain after Gwyn had spent 10 minutes searching in a bush. Figured it out as it just didn't seem right (although it was a little tough to move at first and I was hoping I had it right as otherwise there was going to be a lot of explaining to do!!). Fantastic camo!!! Well done.

Thanks.

21-Feb-04
Found at about 0720 - not too much traffic on the nearby road, made ducking in and out a little easier. Found relatively quickly ... something just didn't look right! Brilliant camo, well done. TNLN - thanks Goblindust & Goddess Athena.

26-Jan-04
Found 3:05pm. Walked in expecting this to take us about 15 - 20 mins to find. Man of the team found quite quickly. Great container though. Wasn't much rubbish around today so the Wombles must have been out in force. Took Hungry Echidna Magnet and left two girls hair clips. Thanks for looking after this Athena would have hated to have missed out on this one.

20-Jan-04
This is a super camo job. After hunting around for a few minutes, and re-reading other peoples logs, it became evident to where it may have been.
Took nothing and left nothing this time.
Super cache Goddess Athena.
Cheers Cool

15-Jan-04
Another great cammo job, Don't know what made me pull it out but I just knew it had to be it! Boy this should be a womble site though we could have filled three bags not two. Second of three good finds for the afternooon.

Took keyring
Left glasses

13-Jan-04
How smart is this little cache cammo? Got me looking for a while, near gave up on this one. I have had a day of really good caches today, we have some very inventive people amongst us. Thanks for this one. Took Scissors and left a super ball.

13-Jan-04
I must applaud the incredible camoflage of this cache. It took a few minutes to find, and like ThomasS, I don't know why I thought it was possible, but I just had to check it.

Thanks Goblindust

11-Jan-04
Second of four caches this afternoon (others being: Lamb or Veale?, Up Up and Away... & Sound Barrier)
Monique, Emma & Zac decided to ride the pushbikes to the Adelaide train station after spending the day riding at the BMX track in the south parklands & catch a train home. Meanwhile Mike (Team Raider) & myself headed down towards the bay to grab ourselves another cache.
Turns out this cache is just as well "hidden" as another cache we found today - very clever. Wink

Found 11/01/04 (11th January) @ 3:30pm by Paul (Team Stargazer)
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing

Thanks goblindust. [^]

11-Jan-04
Team Raider (Mike) & Team Stargazer (Paul) decided that since the other 3 (Monique, Emma & Zac) had decided to ride the pushbikes to the Adelaide train station after spending the day riding at the bike track in the south parklands & catch a train home, that WE would head down to the Bay area and nab ourselves another cache.
This one has some very clever camo! [^]

Took: Keyring
Left: Led Reflector Light

Cheers goblindust. [^]

11-Jan-04
Very sneaky! I like it! I took a while but then something just didn't look quite right. Crab out and echidna in. Thanks Goblindust and Goddess A.

10-Jan-04
Found by Barry and Beryl with helpers Rebecca and Nicole at 11.35 am Thanks to the name Beryl saw it in very quick time
Took Super Glue Left Emu
Thanks for a very clever cache Goblin Dust

07-Jan-04
Ooooooh – that camouflage was wicked! We were almost going to give up on this one, and I don’t know what compelled me to look there, but we found it! Excellent!
While searching we tried walking around the back, where an old woman said she could let us in, as she thought we had lost our cat! But we declined. Mind you, I wasn’t going to try to explain that GPSr were not used to find cats!
Took a frog, left a keyring.

28-Dec-03
Picked this one up whilst on a ride this afternoon. I will not talk about the mechanical failures and subsequent 8k walk home pushing the bike.

Excellent cache. Fantastic cammo. Took a couple of minutes to find but probably would have taken a lot longer if not for the cache name. TNLN. Thank you Goblindust.

27-Dec-03
Found 13:40, Very clever Wink, TNLN, thanks Goblindust.

27-Dec-03
Now there's a frightening thought.

Great cache. The name really gave it away for me in the end.

Swapped an Australian 50 cent for U$1. This is living. Freddo doing his bit for the exchange rate.

PS This is our 300th cache. Thanks Guys.

26-Dec-03
Found at 18:30
Had us fooled for a couple of minutes, but although well camouflaged, it didn't look quite right.
Left scissors, took springy animal.
Good one Goblindust.

25-Dec-03
Its has now become a Christmas tradition that we manage to do at least one cache on Christmas day either before or after lunch. This one was conveniently placed between our lunch venue and our next port of call. A little tricky to find but well satisfied when we did. Thanks Goblindust. Took Xmas hairband and left springy toy.

23-Dec-03

I wondered how long it would be until a cache popped up in one of these places along here. Nice one Goblindust. Left a Xmas Deco and a crab key ring. TN.

Clear skies, John (and don’t know about any evil Twisted forces!!)

22-Dec-03
Found by Team GeoCoopers.
Not sure about the location of the cache but the container itself is a great idea. It blends in almost as much as it stands out Smile
Thanks Goblindust.

22-Dec-03
This close to home (less than 1km), I had to head straight on over after work. Nice cache and well hidden! Even beat the evil forces of Team Astro to this one, found at 5:30pm.

Took the TB and a bracelet, left some super glue and a golf ball. Thanks Goblindust for what is a very nice cache a long way from what looks like your home!

22-Dec-03
Nicely hidden......is that the word you'd use, blended in might be better. Took LED keyring and left a pen coz there wasn't one, and a Canon lanyard, coz you can on a canon. Sorry - too much TV for this little black & white bear. Thanks to Goblindust and Goddess Athena.

22-Dec-03
A nice easy one for after dinner. Left Red Arrow TB to continue in the Travel Bug Race.
Great cache, very well done..

A little bug to start the cache
