Thank you to all the organising team from half of team Boodi. The event was very well organised, with a couple of twists thrown in.
We (Boodi) really have to make an effort to turn up together. There will be rumours starting soon that we are the same person (i.e. Like Janet and Michael, never seen in the same room together)
Thanks again. And thanks to my adopted family, Biggles Bear.

Today Mr.Coffee and family (Michelle, Michael and Luke)
found and met one of the nicest group of people you
could find.

A big thank you to Geojo and Juzmac for putting together
today's Geelong Cache-opoly event.
To all the participants thank you for making a great day
and I hope to catch up with you all in the land of
geocaches or at the next group event.

Thanks for a wonderful Day GeoJo and Juzmac.

It was a huge turn out of teams with many new faces to put names to. The Adventure was great even with some raised stress levels in the car at times.

I am glad the weather stayed fine through out. Once again thank you very much.

WOW!!!

What a day it has been. Been Cacheing for two weeks. first time i had the laptop plugged into the GPS, that was a steep learning curve. Needless to say first event cache. Whens the next one? Finally decided on a team name for myself, BeccaJ and Em_Eagle. Team "Uneven Distribution" Look out for a new cache in the geelong area in the next few days once we get it logged and approved.

Thanks GeoJo and Juzmac. Had a ball.

Thanks to whoever provided the soup. YUM!

And your welcome to pprass for assisting with the phone box virtual.

Hope to see everyone soon.

What a great event Big Grin!!! Many thanks to GeoJo, Juzmac and Tania.

Being "newbies" James and I did not always know what we were doing (like missing two virtuals even though we were standing right next to them [:o)]) but we sure had fun participating and enjoyed meeting a great group of cachers.
Thanks to Diane (Team Crackers) for her excellent soup.

Thanks again - Gavin & James

What an absolutely fantastic day we had. The fun and excitement enjoyed by our team and undoubtably by all teams, was as a direct result from the considerable input from GeoJo, juzmac and others that contributed. The more they put in to this event the more we enjoyed it. Other people I would like to thank are the lady (from TeamCrackers I think) that offered us that lovely soup after the event - boy did that hit the spot and of course from the person that told us what was happening with the very first cache we were looking at - the Telstra one (Evil Hitman?). Once we were straightened out on that one we were off. Veronica (my daughter) wanted to do it all over again after we had a late lunch at the Eastern Beach area, so we decided to do a couple more caches instead. Once again thanks all - you are all great people.

The mind boggles to think of the work that went into this event. A big thanks to GeoJo, juzmac, and Tania for a great day. This is our first event cache, and it was a bewdy to start off with. We are looking forward to future events already.

It was great to meet some of the people whose caches we've visited, and great to put faces to the names we've seen in the logs.

Mary & I really enjoyed ourselves today. The family that caches together .... Marvellous planning, great execution and how about the weather! Lovely to see old friends again and to meet so many new teams. The future of caching in Victoria seems to be in good hands. We look forward to many more events and caches. Our congratulations to placegetters pprass, Team Crackers + Vombatus and Carto, thanks to GeoJo and Juzmac for a wonderful day, to Diane for her Dreampot soup, and to everyone who attended for making it all so enjoyable.

02-May-04
What a great day! Arrived late, didn't know what we were looking for, "Old Spice" was carrying a hamstring injury and was doped up on painkillers, got the wooden spoon.....but had the time of our lives! Thanks Geojo and both Juzmacs for all the effort you put into this day. It was our first caching event and it was worth coming down from the mountains just to meet up with the other caching teams. To make up for our dismal performance we decided much later in the day to do another cache, one of Geojo's walking caches...remember Old Spice's hammie!!!!...we finally bagged it in the dark searching under bushes with a torch!

02-May-04
Thanks for a fantastic day GeoJo and Juzmac! Well planned and organised. Thank you to Team Crackers for the excellent soup. Just what we needed after a cold day's cacheing

I liked the virtuals very much - the only way to mimic Monopoly for the utilities!

'Team Bikies' as we were on the day is a thing of the past. Look out for caches from the newly named 'Uneven Distribution' coming in the near future!

02-May-04
Along with Team Crackers we attended the day in Geelong and met up with a great bunch of Cachers from around Melbourne. The cache-opoly concept was great fun and I cannot express my thanks to GeoJo, Juzmac and Tania enough for putting it together.

Thanks for a fun time and we will see you in the mix.

02-May-04
Thank you to GeoJo, Juzmac and Tania for a fantastic day of fun, friendship and frivolity for the Rabbitto family.

There was obviously a tremendous amount of work that went into the day, scouting locations, creating the game pieces, testing coordinates, running the event on the day and we had a great time as a result. Well Done. Our memories will be filled with perusing in playgrounds, searching through cemetaries, rummaging around rotundas, running trough railway stations and generally jaunting around Geelong.

It was also nice to finally put some faces to the names of other teams. Thanks also to Team Crackers for the tasty soup.

Thanks again from Dean, Simon, Kimberley and Hadleigh B-A.Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Thanks to all teams concerned in the organising of this event. We had a great time - despite the lousy weather.

The cache-opoly concept is a great one - reminds me a lot of the old fashioned 'car rally', just a bit more hi-tech.

We look forward to the next event of this kind, whereever it may be!

It couldn't be as cold as Ballarat last year...could it?

29-Apr-04
Hello all,

Just a quick last note for the event on Sunday for anyone who is still checking it out. The weather is going to be a typical Geelong day - a max of about 13 degrees celcius. So make sure you pack your warm clothes and hope that it just stays cloudy as per the forecast and the rains don't come!!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone we've met and also meeting new faces at the event.

There might even be a few surprises thrown in for good measure during the event...

29-Apr-04
We were looking forward to this event, however, a friend gave us a night's accommodation at the Grampians on Saturday night and it can't be moved, so we're going to miss the event unfortunately. Have an excellent time an thanks for the organisation GeoJo and Juzmac.

24-Apr-04

18-Apr-04
Mr.Coffee + 1 Cappucinno and 2 little latte's would like to attend, as long as it doesn't snow.

However I have some important questions that need to be answered.

1)Does the organiser accept bribes or anything else that would provide answers, clues or the ability to win at all costs?.

2)Shouldn't all geocachers who to date have found more than 30 caches be penalised (say have to walk the event)

3)shouldn't all geocachers who have found more than 1000 caches be made to do the day,s event blindfolded.

4)I have a high tech GPS that can predict Cyclones, tell me where to fish, and tell where I am down to 1 inch, but how do I turn it on?

Regards
Mr.Coffee

I am interested - don't know much about the game, but my daughter and her boyfriend who live in Ocean Grove may be able to assit in finding our way around Geelong.

pprass

Don't worry about that handicap, last time we were in Geelong we found about 3 out of 10 attempted caches, mainly because we couldn't find our way to them!

11-Mar-04
You might have to use a handicap system if Gunnell & Pandaabear turn up - they won the Adelaide event! (Go SA!! Smile)

29-Feb-04
We're keen. Put us down as a definite maybe!

We are keen to attend, will investigate transport and work options in the next few weeks.
