I agree, maybe it is not there. There was several places that it could have been but one in particular filled the log criteria and the co ords fitted as well. It looked as though there was a cache there but not now!!! Maybe we were looking in the wrong spot!!

07-Sep-08
Can we get a cache check please. After 4 DNFs as a 1/1.5 it shouldn't be that hard.

29-Apr-08
Lots of muggles at various times - wondering what we were doing loitering around the bushes. Was sure we had the right spot but we searched and searched & found nothing Sad

24-Mar-08
DNF - looked for a long time ....

22-Mar-08
Nup, couldn't find it. The sign said $150 fine for jumping the barrier, and I wanted to do the right thing.

12-Feb-08
DNF - looked for a while... Oh well.

07-Feb-08
Two people were watching us for awhile so we waited and waited and eventually they got bored and wobbled off... Nice hide, but the log was completely drenched.
Thanks

07-Feb-08
Lots of muggles around but not to hard to find log very wet not very signable thought needs some maintenance thanks

07-Feb-08
11th find with Bushy2233 and Frippy had to wait for all the mugglers walking past, once the area was clear cache was in hand. The log container doesn't seem to be waterproof at all as the log is completly wet. Maybe a different container could be used for the log but the cache itself was good it had a universal style about it. TNLNSL TFTC

28-Jan-08
2nd DNF for the day. Way too many muggles out on their Australia Day walk to have a decent look around. Will be back.

29-Dec-07
Arrived at this cache to see Mr Hancock walking away from it. A tour bus had just turned up and the driver was watching our every move. After a bit of scratching around the call "found it" came from Tronador.

Signed the wet log and it was returned to it's spot.

29-Dec-07
Was looking for this one when a coach load of tourists turned up and starting taking photos of exactly where I was looking! There's being muggled and there's being muggled!
Anyway, they soon disappeared & it wasn't long until the cavalry appeared to save the day. The cache was then soon found (thanks Tronador!).

29-Dec-07
The 3rd attempt at trying to find this. Armed with new information and some caching buddies, we arrived at GZ just as coach load of tourists got off. They then proceeded to take photos of GZ before moving off. The coach driver eyed us suspiciously, making it difficult to be discrete.
Now sometimes when caching you just have to ignore the muggles, so while Spindoc, Rikki and Hancock Snr went one way I delved back into an area I had searched countless time previously.
Ah sneaky little bugger, there you are.
TFTC and this time I didn't get spiked!

NB: The clue is a little misleading, the cache is not spikey.

29-Dec-07
An email to the owner resulted in a clue that was far easier. Cache was waterlogged and needs some TLC.

Clue may need changing.

08-Dec-07
Didn't have the clue with me due - not sure it makes much sense from here, but I guess I'll be back

27-Oct-07
This is the 2nd time I've looked for this with no luck. Even had Alpini helping.
Way to many spikey plants to look through. For a cache that's supposed to be easy, it's got me stumped.

27-Oct-07
Where the hell should you find here a spiky container?
It is like looking for the needle in the haystack.
However after the final cut this will not spoil my day.
Eventually I will have a further look, but may a little hint might be worth for that.
Anyway near a nice location which is worth visiting, but certainly you should spend less time near GZ than around.

04-Oct-07
Nice hide. TFTH! What a great spot to visit too! Took some searching but was found eventually!

30-Sep-07
Couldn't find this though admittedly didn't search for ages. Nice spot around here but NO parking!

07-Sep-07
Had a quick scout at this one and drew blank. Wandered off in search of 2 Dogs nearby cache. Nay wasn't keen on the climb, so she waited for me near here. As she searched a little, the place became full of spooks. Was APEC here? Eventually an elderly couple were escorted out. Strange. I returned and helped search some more, but not cigar. Hmmmmm. Interesting cache me thinks.

24-Aug-07
My second attempt on this one. Found it easily this time. Wonder how that happens? Was tired last time as I had walked from Edgecliff station caching all along the way from bay to sea and back again. Was fresh this time and made the find. Now it's back to California for a few weeks. TFTC!!

05-Jul-07
Same again, looked very hard in all directions after getting to GZ, but it eluded us..... This time !!

We will return.

Maybe you NSW people are harder hiders than those in SA??

02-Jul-07
There was a clue nearby when mrs bloopy got to the likely spot and when mr bloopy followed he grabbed it right away. Apart from a ranger giving us an odd look as we finished the job it was all done with minimum fuss.

15-Apr-07
found this with my brother, hayndog, last year when he was visiting Aussie. I did not have a user ID at the time.

14-Apr-07
Clever find! We have walked by here many times.... in our neighborhood.
Thank you!

14-Apr-07
Wow, that's really all I can say. The caches in Sydney are much more difficult than the cache in my home town area in Michigan. We looked for at least 20 minutes before finding this one. was out with Hondodigger and family.

Find #6. You weren't kidding about getting poked. I took a stinger in the wrist and couldn't stand it for a while. Went with a group and I worked out where it was.

I arrived here on a showery morning that put most of the regular hoardes of picnicers off. GPS pointed to a possible stop, but that proved fruitless and another spot 2-3m away looked perfect. Made may way over and found a sure sign I was on the right track. Soon located a nice little hide.

02-Jan-07
Find 5 for today. Took a bit of searching for this one. Found a clue and got it in the end. The reference to pink and black in the clue pretty much threw me I think. TFTH Smile

03-Dec-06
This is a clever little cache, and, as a hider, something I've always wanted to try. It works and does not have a cost in blood like Hunt Me Down #1! Saw I was FTF for the replacement. Thanks, Charlie Brown Jnr, you put a lot of thought and work into this. TNLN.

26-Nov-06
Ok checked it. Was in bad condition. Its back in action after maintenance

24-Nov-06
12:45 On holiday from the UK. Great location. Easy find thanks to the hint. TNLNSL TFTC.

21-Oct-06
Unfortunately, I looked and looked but couldn't find it. After reading all the logs it looks like, it may have been moved from it's original spot. Can the owner check the coordinates????

13-Oct-06
Found very quickly once the bus full of tourist left the area. Log is still wet and the cache is not in its original hiding spot but very close.

10-Oct-06
Found this our 2nd day in Sydney. Forgot our pen, but remembered the camera! Our first cache in the Southern Hemisphere!

27-Sep-06
This cache is in serious need of repair. The velcro is no longer doing the job and the log is wet. Oh well it is still hanging onto life. TFTC

02-Sep-06
Walking along the cliffs we decided to walk past this one. As I had Geoson on my back Geowife went in for the pickup and had the cache in seconds. The log is damp still so signed the log carefully and replaced it. Still in need of repair. TFTC

24-Aug-06
While seeing the sights on the Bondi Explorer we thought we'd nab this one while waiting for the bus. Found quickly enough but as others have said the log is too damp to unfold and so couldn't be signed. This cache needs maintenance and the log replacing.

19-Aug-06
easy find, the log is still damp

20-May-06
Urgent Urgent Urgent.

19-May-06
[It is still spikey, there is no velcro and it is kind of pink and black.
The cache is on the ground in a couple of plastic bags but the original log in soaked and unusable.]
Without putting too fine a point on it, the logs have been suggesting maintenance since November 2004.
John can you find the time to take the lad out there to fix this up?

22-Apr-06
Not far from a well known lookout. Its only in a container that does not seem water proof and then in a plastic bag. It could use updating and replacing the wet paper.
(a bit too delicate to unfold and read)
Found around 1.30pm

11-Apr-06
another nice afternoon, i planned an afternoon of caching in the eastern suburbs, found this one and the got called to the office. The cache is pretty damp

12-Mar-06
Found at 10:05am after a few tourist busses cleared the area. Added another ziplog bag to the cache defences. All the older logs are damp but the most recent piece of log paper (which has some more room) was still dry.

27-Feb-06
a lovley part of the world, ive never ventured this far east before so thanks for the reason to

as per the last logs this cache is is URGENT need of repair. the logs are wet and the container damaged

08-Feb-06
This is a very notorious area of Sydney - probably appropriate if you had some difficulty finding this cache. We found it OK but sadly it's in a very poor state and really should be replaced. It has departed the original attached area and is now under a rock relatively adjacent. The logs are sopping wet and we logged on a fresh piece of paper. Nice cache though and it would be sad if it wasn't fixed up.

08-Feb-06
Found this one easy, as previously mentioned it needs repair as it is almost un usable in its current state.

A great location

20-Dec-05
Found easily after the wade through the spikes. Spikes on sunburnt legs - not good. Still wet, so stuck it in a waterproof bag with our BYO log. Needs to be re-stuck and dried out.

27-Sep-05
Nice hiding spot, but it took me quite awhile to be able to search for it. Bus loads of muggles!
TNLNSL. Thanks, Robmc.

14-Aug-05
Quick find - log soaked so scribbled my username on the paper without removing it from the cache. Box was also on the ground having come off of the fixing. Nice lunch at Watson Bay pub. Cache could do with a maint visit. TNLN. TFTC.

28-May-05
found on way to watsons bay pub for lunch

log soaked, added piece of paper for my log!

security guard watched me for a little while near gz!

thanks for the cache

06-May-05
Found this one after a few minutes of searching, thanks!

06-May-05
We came, we saw, we hunted it down. Everyone else's previous comments still stand. Cache is still pretty damp, and the attachment mechanisum is still holding on, but only just. I think we may have lost the pencil too, if there was one? Otherwise, nice area for a cache. Coords were spot on! Thanks, Charlie Brown Jr.

4:09pm
Easy find, even with many people around. As many have said, this is ruined, the log is a soggy smelly pulp and the new "log" won't last long in with the old soggy one.

Signed the new "log" and placed it back.

28-Apr-05
Went looking for this one the other day, didn't find it, went back after reading the page, went straight to it. As has been said, needs a revamp, I didn't leave a log, as it was soggy.

21-Apr-05
This cache is in serious need of repairs. The velcro has come off the container (replaced it with the spare but this had fallen off within 45 minutes when the Reigate Squires found it), the log sheet is very damp and the paint is starting to come off revealing a lovely shade of pink. However the cache location is excellent. Could take hours just wandering around the tracks and doing the touristy things but there is serious caching to be done.

Great spot Charlie Brown

[Definitely needs the renovation squad before it disappears. We arrived under subtle guidance of the Wyoming Wombats who we had encountered nearby (OK, not really subtle, more a blatant shove in the right direction) only to find the micro soaking wet on the ground. Trouble with] velcro [is that it is stronger than the] doublesidedtape. [The original log is unusable; signed the Wombat's scrap of paper instead.]

24-Mar-05
Wasn't quite sure where to look for this one, but eventually I looked in the right spot.
Lots of tourists walking right past, but all too busy to notice me.

Thanks

2nd find of the morning. Walked past cache twice, always pays to look both ways. Log is almost too wet to write on.

12-Dec-04
Found it without getting spiked, after scouring the area for signs of a cache. Tons of muggles around, but nobody seemed interested in me at the cache. TNLN, signed log.

Cheers from Canada!

05-Dec-04
My first find on Southern hemisphere. Nice scenic location nearby. Papers were quite moldy and it was barely possible to write a log.

26-Nov-04
Plenty of muggles in the area but they were more interested in the nearby views. Thanks for the easy find as I had a passenger in the car and I am not sure he couldn't have handled my usual scratching around in circles with no apparent plan.

25-Nov-04
This one was a snap... managed a break in the crowds to retreive it. Dave Rat and I sat down and let it dry out before returning it to it's hide

25-Nov-04
I'm certain Charlie Brown has a fascination will those spikey plants... Did this one with Swampy.

04-Nov-04
There were many, many Muggles around, but when I had the chance I took it. The cache contents are a bit damp, may need some maintenance.

23-Sep-04
Found this one a lot more easily than I ordinarily would have done. Good stuff.

12-Sep-04
Second cache for the night. S**t those things are spikey!! I am sure this area is beautiful but we didn't even know which way the beach was, well we didn't know how far away it was. We will visit during the day, I promise. Thanks.

31-Jul-04
Nice little cache you have there Charlie Brown Jr. Regards Philma, Acko and Bec.

15-May-04
2nd cache of the day after finding "#12 ! GO JUMP !" a couple of minutes earlier. Left a little memento from the UK.
Ended up in Doyle's Seafood restaurant. FAAANTASTIC ... and I don't actually enjoy eating fish Smile

06-May-04
We kind of had the JUMP on a cache around here. Snifter grew up in these here parts and the very area was her playground. Imagine being rich enough.....oh well. We dodged the frantic camera toting tourists, and the closed off walkways, and found the cache within seconds*. The only way to not look conspicuous was too climb the embankment and stand there looking like a manic depressant about to jump. Worked fine, Snifter fitted right in. Ummmm..... Now if I can just find out where Snifter got too...ah it's ok!!!!! I got her, I got her, she's ok.
* = May be a gross exageration of the truth.

30-Apr-04
Junior really likes those spiky plants doesn't he! My arms and legs are still itching...

It's a little difficult not to be conspicuous when retrieving this one, but I don't think anyone suspected anything. Just in case, I emerged from the bushes pretending to do up my fly just to put anyone off investigating what I'd been up to...

Cheers Charlie Brown

30-Mar-04
Nice easy find on my way to a night dive in the area.

Thanks CB

23-Mar-04
Managed to get up early and nab this virgin cache before work. Coords were putting GZ out in the open so I looked around for likely hiding spots and found it quickly. Took the Geocaching.com badge first finders prize.

Thanks Charlie Brown Jr.

22-Mar-04
You beat me to it. I was thinking of putting a cache here and was going to call it "Elementary My Dear".
Never mind. I'll just have to look for yours instead...
