As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Enjoyed both locations. Interesting place for a BBQ though. Was expecting something different. Took Hello Kitty Rubber.
Very wet and full of water. We tried to dry it out but think it probably needs replacing hence we didnt put our origami spinning top inside.
Good fun for our 2nd cache. Notepad a little moist. Didn't take anything but left a free coffee voucher !!
Found 14:45. 9th of 15 FFTD. Both the initial and the GZ were found by Mrs E. Beautiful area loads of ducks and other water birds around. TNLNSL. TFTC.
This was our first waypoint cache and was great. A guy told us whereabouts WP1 should be, but oveall it was a fun trip.

UK Cachers on our holidays on the Gold Coast.
We are here for the State of Origin second test next week in Sydney.
I have to admit we took the round about route to WP1 from Surfers Paradise as we don't have any decent mapping on the GPSr for this area.
We drove to the area using the "follow the arrow" method of navigation and found the location by driving in ever decreasing circles. Well it felt that way even if that's not strictly the truth!
Found WP1 after a couple of minutes search and realised that we'd driven really close to GZ whilst tracking down WP1.
We disturbed a rather large (well what we'd call large) brown lizard on the rocks nearby...he must have been half a metre long! .... Small fry to you Aussies no doubt.

Nice place, found WP1 a few weeks ago but ran out of light as we approached GZ. Returned to find one a caching run with zactyl out to Wayne's World.
A great little multi. A lady with dog at WP1 held me up for a while but after that no problems. Nice final location too. TNLN thanks zactyl.
Hmm, our GPS had us smack in the middle of the road - even checked the cats-eye reflector for a hidden message before looking in the other obvious (and unfortunately smelly) spot at WP1. WP2 had Mum commenting on the lack of water before realisng it was mud-coloured weed! Rock hopping past the startled water dragons got us to GZ, found it and headed for lunch. TFTC! ='.'=
Found the clue and wp1, admired the view then off to GZ. Couldn't resist all those rocks and went clambering all over them before beginning my search. Cache found after just a spot of gardening. Took a stroll around the pond watching the birds and the dragonflies. Nice spot. TFTC
first had a crack at this on back in August - yep right where I thought it was - right where the kids were.
Signed off on now - and a DNF scratched [^]

Took around 20 minutes to find WP1 as a muggle living in the house opposite the site thought it was more important to sun herself then left me find the clue. She disappeared back inside after 10 minutes which allowed me to get on with the job. Found the GZ easy enough. SLTNLN TFTC
Finally I can cross this one off the nemesis cache list. Third attempt to find WP1 was successful as it was lying in the open. I rehid it in the obvious location and then found the cache easily.
A great little pond. I love these little spots.

Container and log book have been replaced. It's a small container (200ml sistema), with room for a few small swaps (if you take something out first!).
Finally tracked this one down Third visit, ran out of time after finding WP1 on the second trip! Log book is musty, I'll replace it shortly.
Was back at the coast so couldn't let this one slip through my fingers. An easy find once there ore no people hanging around eating lunch!
Thanks
Thanks
Another nice park in an area that's new to us. Thanks for showing us around.

Not hard to find after getting past all the mums dropping off the kids at school. Cheers.
Well had a trip to Brissy and visited my fellow cacher
Mitasol. He could not resist challenging me to seek this cache out and away we went near on dusk.
A couple of slight hints and the first waypoint was found
and then onto the main cache under torch power.
Enjoyed the cache and the great company
tnln and signed the log

... while we found the first cache ... couldn't get to the final due to some kids being camped right on top of it. Won't be back for awhile - maybe Ozcruiser will be able to complete it another day. Damn - didn't expect a pupil free day down here on a Wednesday !
Great little BBQ area at wp1 and with great views. WP2 not too far away. Lots of ducks and a very pleasant park. Took magnifier and left ball. Thanks Red Dwarf.
It took a moment for the clue for WP1 to make sense then at once both Mumma NANKS and 8 year old GeoKid went ....Aaah! Then as we are about to put in the coordinates for the cache, the GPS tells us it's full!!!! I don't knoe how to delete entries yet! So we left and went back to the Nerang BMX track where Dadda NANKS and Mini NANKS (5 tr old) were competing in the South Queensland Titles. After a bit of fiddling about I managed to make some space and back we went to a lovely spot to find the cache!

Yet another good cache by the Red Dwarf team. Co-ords and clue for WP1 were spot on, and we had no difficulty finding our way to the cache. Thanks for that one team.
Thanks for the tip about the bread...ducks well fed, little bounder had lots of fun and thought it was cool Took pop turtle (no not from lake, from cache) Left magnifying glass, although we suggest future seekers take their own as caches are rather small. Log and contents at GZ were wet. All good fun. TFTC

Found WP1 without too much trouble. A small girl living in the house opposite yelled out "Are you geocaching?" "Yes" we replied as I just grabbed the container for WP1.
We set off with the new Co-ords for GZ. The description mentioned you may want to feed the ducks near GZ. Maybe if you could get past all the Ibis the ducks would get a chance. Found the cache easily. TNLN
Thanks for an interesting cache

Couldn't find the first waypoint, but a nice spot to watch a storm roll in. Aylee (2) enjoyed the picnic table, and lying on the chair doing her 'exercises'.
Hooray, we found it! 2nd for the day after recieving a new Magellan GPS for Christmas. The wife, 2 kids and myself went back to this one after previously being unsuccessful when we used a gps on a palm computer.
We intend to do quite a few more in the coming weeks!

Decided to take a small trip down the Coast and hit up a few caches in the area. Located this one at 17:36hrs
Nice one. THe first point is certainly tougher than GZ. First BBQ I have seen like this. Very interesting place
What an amazing spot for a BBQ. We wished we had one like this in our neighbourhood. Found cache at 0705Hrs. That's 3 caches found in 45 minutes. Not a bad start. Managed to have several muggles with dogs wondering what we were up to, but we used the best of our acting skills to avoid any great suspicion. TNLNSL, nice pond and birdlife. Thank you.
Third of 13 finds on the Gold Coast in company with The Garner Family. Once again, I'm indebted to TGF for saving us a heap of time at WP1. We checked what we deemed to be obvious places above and below, but without success. We decrypted the hint, which led us on something of a wild goose chase. I think we might have over-analysed it. In the end, TGF found the small cache buried! Methinks the previous finder might have been a bit over zealous with the "hide it better than you found it" principle. The final cache was a relatively easy find at 1555 in a very pleasant park. I made no exchange. Thanks to Red Dwarf for the cache.
WP1 was a difficult find... it turned out to be buried, so when I rehid it I made sure it wasn't buried but just covered.
WP2 wasn't too hard and we had the catch in our hands at 15:57. Nice spot to sit and sign the log.

I was a bit worried at the first waypoint, so many possible places... but when I stopped looking] under and up and started looking under and down [I quickly found the first waypoint. The final cache was a quick find.

Had to go to Nerang on a quick trip, decided to drop in and check out Gir found wp1 reasonably easy, co-ords spot on went straight to GZ, lodged on. Thanks for the hunt Red Dwarf.

[First multi cache. 3rd for the day, again with good company and a lot of help from Wizbang - Hint] Don't go before school at lunch break or after school, the teachers give you the evil eye.

Would have never had thought the cache was where it was. Took a bit of looking around. Nice location but at 1500hrs when I was on the hunt, the muggles were going home at the end of a hard days work. So had to be discrete.
We came out for this one many months ago when we were just wee cachers and were never able to locate it. Today we were in the area again and decided to give it another go. We nearly gave up again until we read the Silent Hunter find notes. Our GPS had us 20 meters from the actual find??
Found this one and it was a good hunt I like the different destinations from waypoint 1 to GZ. Great BBQ area at waypoint 1 and only took 3 min to find. Great hunt at GZ it is a smart spot and you tend to look to deep in the garden for this one until you do another perimeter search and there it is. Even though there are no goodies at this cache I found a great new golf ball while looking (Hope it is a trick lucky ball to bring the golf score down). I did try and see if the ball would fit in the cache but is only fits the log, Oh well will have to try my like on the golf course.
Another quick one in Queensland. Nice hiding spot for the first WP, Webguy Jnr found that. After a short drive we arrived at the GZ, it took a short while for sattelites to play nice and then, after watching Webguy Jnr and Wiz look around, I started. Took a few minutes and it was found.
Grabbed the TB, signed the log. A nice Multi.
Thanks.

My second cache thanks to the training of Webguy and Webguy Jnr. TNLN. It is great to find other Geocachers in the neighbourhood.

Our afternoon caching session stretched a little longer and we had time to venture into the Gold Coast suburbs. One half of Rav 4 Raiders was especially sure-footed and was able to find the first waypoint. (Uncle Col and I stayed on terra firmer and watched.) We then zipped to GZ and began the hunt. It took all of two minutes before I had the small box in hand.
We thought that this was a micro so hadn't brought trade items, but the box seemed large enough for a few items so I sped back to the car to get a swap. I took nothing, signed the log, and left an Edward Jones Mighty Grip kitchen tool.
Thanks for bringing me to the burbs!
(BTW -- what does "GIR" stand for?)

Afternoon caching we had limited time before we had to be 'somewhere else'. Spotted the first waypoint with ease, raced to the second, swooped in and quickly located the cache. Logged the find and noticed the mirco was big enough to leave a TB. Deposited Filbert's FF Card #2 for a little plane spotting. The only thing he can spot from here is a plane on finals into OOL on a good day! TFTF. Cheers, Rav 4 Raiders
Finally got back to this one and completed it with no problems. Nice little spot for the final cache but future hunters will need to bring a pen for the logbook.
Thanks RD.

How annoying. So close and yet...
Found the start point very easily but was thwarted at the last minute by the tradesmen working at the house across the road having set up their own little cafe at the barbecue! Even though they were working at the time, I couldn't do a decent search of the area without moving their fold-up chairs and eskies! They were watching me pretty closely so I decided discretion was paramount and skeedaddled out of there. I'll be back.

nice lookout and facilities. gps had us on the road but clue took us back. being sure-footed at first didnt help us until we took the clue literally. then a nice relaxing stroll and early success. signed up and rod after collecting some rubbish nearby left a balloon and said as we were leaving were's the gun sid. thanks gang for a top day out.
