Came through at the end of January with TARDIS to collect the companion cache. and started working on this puzzle with phlphotos. Meet up with the team today to make the find. With the cache in hand, we signed the log before replacing as found. Thanks for the cache odlids.

Found this ones buddy in 2018 and tried to work out what the clue meant but didn't get anywhere so put it aside. When TARDIS 0061 and teamMerlin said they were interested in tackling these pair had to check what I had. Met a few previous finders who provided some sort of hint. Then met a couple of finders at a recent event who confirmed what my thoughts were. But after hurting my injured knee on Friday decided on a time to catch up with TARDIS & tM just in case. Parked nearby and headed out and at the point described to me headed to a likely level with the option of going up or down but none of that was required we found it in the second place we looked
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache odlids
The following TBs visited for the distance - Hawkesbury Tiger, 2011- 2020 NSW geocoins, Area 51 Tag, Cache In Trash Out Geocoin, Cache In Trash Out Tag, CITO Micro Geocoin, dirty Black Juke, Four Elements Geocoin, Mary Hyde's compass, Optical Illusion Geocoin, Spindoc Bob Memorial Geocoin, Trackable Building Brick, Wales Flag, Wheel of Caching Geocoin

I conducted a brief search of an area I thought was gz but the cache did not reveal itself, might have another go one day when I solve this one
Having found Toxic Butt Syndrome and grabbed the clue, a couple of Buttheads contemplated getting this one while we went for a stroll along the Woronora Bridge as EH looked for another one.
With a little guidance, we worked out where we had to go. Not so far! So off we went and within a short time it was CIH from another Odlids cache. That was a well-balanced puzzle that had us getting off our butts, instead of hanging around a rock. We enjoyed the connection that it had to our line of work. Deserves a FP. TFTC

OCW Brewmaker. We got our butts out there and found a pair of Butts (the Trad and the Puzzle), no buts about it! An FP for the pair of them. TFTC odlids
I found the buddy cache with mizmaz a few weeks ago,we came up with a theory for GZ but not being local or having any coords to work with this made things tricky.
Today we were heading past so had another crack at this one,we found a location very similar to WP1 then after a search around we found it....no way, awesome!!!
Was really cool to find this cache, high fives all round
Thanks odlids for the cache

Having done this hide’s companion cache a few weeks ago and collecting the clue, Bonfire and I were too tired then at the end of a long day to also tick off this one, or for that matter concentrate on solving it. With that task since completed and passing between Menai and Sutherland today, realised it was a quick detour to our new GZ to complete the pigeon pair.
Had a great day with Bonfire7 and Mizmaz seeking out the caches in this area. This cache had great views and good walk in. TFTC
Having found Toxic Butt Syndrome earlier today and instantly knowing where I needed to go, I saved this for the way home.
If was pure luck that finding a multi just last week taught be about this feature and I instantly recognised it from the clue !
Once at GZ I applied the same sort of logic that got us to the last find and soon had CIH
A very interesting pair of caches with sensational views

23/4/17. 9:23 AM. Cache #4962.
2nd of 2 finds (& 1 DNF) - Woronora.
I finally had made the find at "Toxic Butt Syndrome", but only had the beginnings of an idea what the solve for this entailed. It's a bit of a field puzzle but needs some thinking outside the box - luckily a pair of TAFs helped me expand on my idea and get a general feel for where I had to head next.
I chose to go on foot from TBS, which was quite a distance. I probably wouldn't be giving too much away to say that my trip involved a short and uninteresting descent, a long and scenic flat and then a hard slog of a scramble up.
Fortunately, that scramble meant that as I approached the area close to where the cache would be, I had a good chance to spot some likely hiding places. And after checking out a couple of them, the next one proved to be a winner. Signed the log and picked up 10 months worth of unloved credit. I headed back downhill a bit and then changed direction for an attempt on "Wonnie Walk" next. TFTC - worth a fave point.

It is always rewarding to log a odlids cache, especially one of this vintage. It also proves that good caches are worth waiting for and best done in good company!!
Found Toxic Butt on 4 January this year and took away the clue for this one. I was asked the other day if I had completed this one yet. So that gave some inertia to get stuck into it. Did my research and came up with an idea and ran it past a previous finder and was given a very positive indication that I was on the right track.
Turned out to day with not much idea what I was looking for. Searched around for a while and decided to PAF for a hint. However I found it before I got an answer back. Rang him to cancel my PAF. Visited a geocoin and left afew craft items. TFTC odlids, A favourite I think.

Found toxic butt way back in November and returned home and puzzled out the clue pretty much straight away. Today i went totestmy theory and was pretty much spoton. Found in less than 5 minutes at GZ. Great puzzle cache, another odlids gem. TFTC
Found the toxic butt years ago, but had to revisit to get the clue. Found the clue in January, but looked at it hundred of times before it finally clicked! Today I went to GZ with good hopes. Found a nice parking and had a pretty steep hike to get to the cache quit easily! Beautiful spot for a hide!

Just a quick revisit today to pick up the clue for the other cache. As it didn't make sence at the spot I took the info home and will ponder about it.

Its been a while since I found the clue to this cache.
Came back with a potential geocacher to show him the ropes. Except he wasn't. Willing to do the stretch for this one.

After finding Toxic Butt earlier in the day and getting the clue, as I said it made my head ache, but sat down on the rocks and looked around, read the clues again and again, thinking how odlids would hide his caches, based on previous finds and thought that just might be an area to search. Did a couple of other caches along the way, arrived where I thought I should be and looked around and didn't think something looked just right and guess what they was a container that had been very lonely for 18 months without any visitors waiting for me to sign the log. Left a Las Vegas teaspoon from my collection as it was a gamble getting to this location, but paid off. Thank you Odlids for pushing my brain on this challenge.
Having worked out the meaning of the very clever clue from Toxic Butt Syndrome I was pleased as punch with myself for being so clever. A quick read of the previous logs confirmed I was thinking along the right lines and myself and the Neighbs headed out to find this today. We understood the clue but still managed to spend forever looking in totally the wrong place. We bushbashed up and down in completely the wrong area until we had just about had enough. Fortunately, Mrryanmurray was at hand answering his emails promptly and after a few emails and a phone call, he confirmed we were in totally the wrong area. He provided us with some invaluable information. Thanks Ryan for your help!! We had not realised the distance GZ would be, so headed back to the geomobile and made a very quick find. We did see an elderly muggle, but figured the wabbit story wouldn't convince him, so we told him we were out looking at the views. Good to be able to finally get this smiley.
Set off with Sat Down this morning to finally knock this one off the list. After about an hour and a half of searching to no avail, Sat down made contact with mrryanmurray who gave us a much needed hint. We were obviously not looking at the BIG picture. We too followed the lines, but not far enough!! Once we drove to where we needed to be, the cache was soon in hand. Thanks ryan for your help. I'm glad to put this one to bed. TFTC Odlids
Found this afternoon with Steeba. We knew roughly what we were looking for, but we thought we had to head in the opposite direction! Thankfully a fellow cacher that we questioned at the event today pointed out that we should zig, not zag. Hence we followed our noses to GZ and made a quick find.
Great to see these older caches holding up after so many years!
Cheers

After completing the sister cache some time ago, I had a good idea where to look for this one. Problem was it was not the right direction! Luckily on the paddling event today I hit up a fellow cacher for a clue, so we were able to park fairly closely nearby and a short walk to GZ before the cache was soon in hand. Easy when you know how! TFTC!
With help from mrryanmurray(meaning I had no clue) had a nice walk to this one. Thanks

Great series idea. I found Toxic Butt Syndrome last week and retrieved the clue which I worked out at home. I then had a few ideas about the whereabouts of GZ which I emailed a cacher about. He provided a small clue which confirmed my thoughts. I had 2 possible locations in mind so of course I chose the wrong one first. After spending about 45 minutes searching fruitlessly, I read the logs again and gathered a few clues which made me confident of a find in the other GZ I had in mind. So off I went. Upon arrival at GZ I had the cache in hand within a minute. It is an easy find without the use of a gpsr if you know how.. There is so much more I could say about GZ but it would give too much away. I like the concept of this series. Get off your BUTTS and find the cache! TNLNSL. Thank you very much Odlids....
TFTC odlids,
I worked out where this was when I found Toxic Butts Syndrome but intended leaving it till today as a part of my present challenge which began on the 29th February to see if I can Cache every day and achieve 366 days in a row. I talked to Team Canery at the Blue Mountains Event yesterday and told him where I believed it was and he agreed that I was in the general area. As I found my way to the Cache, I wasn't approached by anyone when I made my early morning search so had no need to explain I was searching for wabits. I also found out at the event about a 10 Day and 100 Day Challenge and since I am now at 83 days I have a new goal and 2 Caches to achieve. Visited the trackables in my company so that the owners can experience this old Cache.

Some days are diamonds. Others are stones.
Today was definitely a geocaching stoneday!?!
I over thought the clue amd spent way toolong looking in the wrong spot!
A Phone-A-Friend made a comment about where I should be in relation to the listed co-ordinates and my error was revealed. I had missed the obvious solution!

After sitting on the clue from toxic butts I finally got round to visiting the assumed gz with dkerr88 an azzo89.

Found with Dkerr88 and wissan88. Using some knowledge of maths the clue was decrypted a couple of weeks after toxic butt. We found wat we thought was the gz and we searched the area for a while. We then read some other recent logs online( gotta love the iphone app) and then re examined the area and within a minute i had it in my grasp. It was very rewarding to find my first mystery cache.

Bewdy - another close mystery can be crossed off the list!
Found today with Mr H from The Hancock Clan, but not before we had a serious dig earlier in the year with Mr H & Mr Spindoctor. Back then though we read the clues slightly wrong & were a bit of a way off the mark.
Today was a different story - the cache was in hand pretty quickly & we were soon on our way.
Grabbed the number from the TB Mr H took (just for the Icon, mind you! )
Thanks for a really good challenging cache Odlids
Cheers

At long last! We found it! After starting this one many months ago but failing on our first attempt, it's taken us this long to get back out and eventually find the cache. Many hours have been spent studying & then searching (wrong areas obviously!) with Usat31 & also The Spindoctors. It turns out that we were on the right lines to start with but hadn't quite got it right back then but this time all was good and the cache was soon found.
Took travel bug.
Thanks,

I actually surprised myself and found it within 5 mins of reaching the GZ. No GPS, just brain power. TNLN TFTC
After leaving this cache with our tails between our legs, I soon foudn the answer to the puzzle. Unfortunately I was forced to drive past the final location on a number of occasions, and with not enough time on my hands, it stayed as that.
Today was another matter. I have the afternoon off from parenting duties and this was high on the list. Used the Sydways to find the best method of attack, and armed with my stupid looking hat and a bottle of water off I went. The trek reminded me of caching in Canberra. I was rewarded with cache and a great view. A tough puzzle with a great reward. Cheers.

Well this has been the first chance I've had to have a crack at this one since knocking over Toxic butt syndrome. At the time I spent a while puzzeling the clue but got nowhere so after contacting the owner a tiny clue was given. With that clue and my expertise in the field I still had to decide which way from here? So I used my powers of deducement and a big gut feeling and sat on it till now to prove myself whether or not I was right. You Beauty right where it should be butt I reckon it's butts butt no if's if you know what I mean . As if Toxic butt syndrome wasn't good enough this was a fantastic spot and a simple hide in the end. I only had 1/2 hour to nab it so lucky for me it was quickly done and dusted today. Since it's not found too often I refrained from dropping a trackable, Could still be quite a while before the likes of the Spindoctors, Hancock Clan and Usat31 can sought it out. Thanks Odlids for another great cache and cache location hope to do more of them soon Cheers
Bummer Bummer Bummer!!!!!
As Spindoc said, we bumped into each other at Toxic Butt & we all went our seperate ways through the week to sort out a suitable GZ for this cache. Mr H & Mr Us were so confident we had it nailed & we thought it would be just a formality, even in the dark ( or at least Mr Us did.....).
Not so, as it turns out, but we did raise a few suspicions from the local neighbours - I thought it was the cachers that were supposed to phone a friend, not the audience!!!! But, we have now had a re-think & a clue or 2 & think we now think we know where to head next.
Really disappointed for Spindoc, as we wanted to help him out with his Well Rounded Cacher conclusion, but at least we can say we gave it a try.
Thanks for the hunt guys & you will see a find on this one in the very near future (We Hope)
Big Miss Us is recoverinig well from the couple of mozzie bites she collected. Mr H doesn't know how lucky he is to be still alive after his "I'm a scorpion" imitation on Big Miss Us! LOL
PS - I'm with you Spindoc! Not sure why we are the first 2 to log a DNF on this cache - I'm sure there have been many others, though I know some people prefer to call this sort of cache a "Work in Progress" & don't log their no-finds on their various attempts, which hardly seems fair on the cache setter.
Cheers.

After 'finding' Toxic Butt last week, I pondered the clue for a while. I got some way into it, but was still none the wiser. An email to another cacher posed a question and invoked a response that helped a little.
A few days latter I met up with Usat31 and The Hancock Clan and discussed what I knew. They appeared to be a bit advanced in their thinking and had a possible location.
So with a few hours before the Well Rounded Cacher was complete - and with me needing this cache to complete my 3x3 grid, I decided to head out for a nighttime search.
After meeting up with Usat31 and Mr Hancock we began our search. I wasn't convinced at first that this was the location, but after a few minutes of searching I thought maybe this WAS it. 30 minutes later a neighbour overlooking the area was on the phone to ??? looking down at us.
Looked like this may not be the place. So we tried another location, which looked promising, but alas, no cache.
Midnight arrived and the WRC comp was over. Poor Jess was covered in mozzie bites and we were feeling dejected.
As I drove off, Nay texted me to say a previous finder was online. A few questions revealed we weren't in the correct location. Appears the first search was way off and the second - while encouraging - wasn't correct either. Looks like it's somewhere else, and now I know where.
Will have to grab this next time I'm down - a good excuse to catch up with Usat31 and the Hancocks again.
BTW - It's strange that this is the first DNF for this cache.

"Oh my, how do I get that?" I knew what I needed and looked for the thing most suitable.
Now what happened next should have been videoed and submitted to Funniest Home Videos.
Wedging it in I tentatively did the retrieval until snap, it broke but not a minute too soon and the cache was mine.
Now this had not been opened in a year and was starting to develop its own camouflage. What a well stocked cache.
Now having done the caching business and leaving no swaps, I returned the cache but as my "tool" was now broken, its retrieval will be much better suited to those not blessed with appendere of a Pongo pygmaeus.
This was a great caching experience and after having found it's companion cache, I found this to be much easier to spot. Now this is absolutely no help at all if you are not able to decipher the clue.
Thanks to Altaire for letting me bounce off ideas, it only took a couple of guesses after the initial research.
And thank you Odlids for a challenging and rewarding experience. I have learnt a lot and can now say I have passed "Engineering 101".

A couple of weeks ago we’d been lucky enough to somehow find the requisite clue for this cache. At the time we were appalled at how meaningless the “clue†appeared to us poor simple bushwalking folk. We wandered away despondently to try for other caches within our meagre talents.
In the interim, a little bit of rudimentary consultation with Newton’s Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica threw up an interesting possibility……………or two. Returning to the scene of the frayed nerves we could readily persuade ourselves of a couple (maybe even more) possible places to go and spend a couple of hours stumbling around in search of new depths of despair and humiliation.
After a short and fruitless search at our first candidate we seemed to be well on track to those said depths. Wiping away the tears of frustration we traipsed along to the next possibility and proceeded to stun ourselves by finding the cache within mere minutes.
Afterwards we visited a nearby and delightful picnic area to partake of luncheon whilst contemplating the perfidy of certain cache setters (not just this one) we’d come across in our short caching lives. You know who you are. It’s a pleasure to battle your caches.
We made no swaps and as for the other cache we did today and for the same reason, dared not drop off a TB we had with us. Heartfelt thanks for the effort you make with your caches Odlids.

Having been to the other spot a while back I finally got to complete the puzzle today. Found it first while the others looked on.

Got to this one while in the area. I decoded the clue at home then plugged the co-ordinates into the GPSr and we were out on our way.
Fortunately the coords were spot on and it was an easy find. Now I am running out of caches to do in the area...
Thanks Odlids.

Once I found Toxic Butt Syndrome and the clue, the rest fell into place. I had spent so much time hanging around the GZ for Toxic, looking for the elusive cache, that this one was as easy as 1,2,3.

A fairly easy clue to decifer...
No need for a GPS to find this one!
just a quick detour on the way to buy lunch...
thanks Odlids

Easy... didn't even use the GPS. Spotted the location on the way back from Toxic Butts. Like GEK I must be starting to understand the Odlid mind (now there's a scary thought!![:o]). I found the cache in minutes. Left mini-alarm clock (needs a new battery). Took insect repelling wrist strap. Good one Odlids.
Got the clue from the other Butt and deciphered it fairly quickly. That left me with two possible locations. I began thinking like an Odlid and realised that there was probably another clue somewhere.
Found it quickly and worked out the rather cryptic hint after some research. That took me straight to the correct location and I found the cache after about 5 mins of searching.
I must be getting used to these Odlids caches now. Thanks Odlids.
