I did the Somerset Trail with sausage3, our partners and other friends on a beautiful winters day with lots of wildflowers in bloom.Halfway through we stopped for morning tea, the view and this old cache which is in great condition. Logbook signed and replaced as found. I was needing one more 2004 cache for a challenge, so very happy to find this one - a fp. Tftc
Found on a nice Sunday afternoon drive with [@jaminellio](https://coord.info/PR1MRCRH)
A nice walk on the Summerset Trail with a great view an a geocache. Thank you.
Went out for a gorge hike on this very thickly foggy morning - way too slippery. Decided to find nearby geocaches instead. Fog cleared and the sun came out 5 minutes after finding this cache - lovely little orchids at the lookout so found twice the treasures today!
Nice spot to stop for lunch after finding the cache. A beautiful view from here. TFTC
Staying at Neerum camp and on our way back from Mt Archer. Came off Loveday at K Break. Tried a left turn, but came across a big bog hole, which I did not attempt as winch out of action at the moment. Took the next one, which came out just north of the lookout. Thankfully, it was not raining today, and a good view was available. Had lunch here. Cache found at gz. TFTC
With a hot day forecast, I was searching for a shorter walk , a little closer to home to boost my step count today. A nice quick stroll around the Somerset Trail at D'Aguilar National Park seemed to fit the bill nicely. This older cache and the promise of some great views provided some nice motivation for the walk. I had a later start than normal due to a tight rugby match in France, so it was about 08.30 am when I pulled up at the Gantry. I opted for a clockwise circuit - though it seemed from the signage on the trail that most people do this walk anticlockwise. The first section of the walk through the rain forest and then the giant blackbutt forest was a highlight. I felt strong today and powered along and by 9.45 am I took a good peaceful break at the lookout with a few other anti-clockwise walkers. The bellbirds below the cliff edge were in full voice today. Unfortunately the serenity was disturbed by some beer drinking yobbo 4wder's who roared up the hill and then dragged their esky to the cliff edge. Time to grab the cache and go! Log signed at 10.06 am. Everything was in great shape at GZ It was quite hot now, but I did enjoy the gradual downhill trail after the summit and powered along, slowing slightly when the uphill came. At about the 9 k mark I took a wrong turn (I blame the poor signage when walking clockwise) , which put me on a well formed walking trail through the hoop pine forest. This was a magnificent part of the walk as there was a green palm tree understorey flourishing under the mature hoop pine. ! I realised my mistake when I arrived at Loveday Rd and ended up backtracking 500 metre south along Loveday Rd to get back to the correct trail. The last up hill back to Loveday Rd was a bit of a slog in the heat. All up, I walked 13.4 k in just over 3 hours today, including a 20 minute break at Somerset Lookout. Glad to finally grab this oldie. TFTC the Four Bears and NyssabutterflyPete#7,471
Nice easy find. Had to wait for the 4wd club to go through before crossing the road.
A friend sent me a message and asked if the caches in the Mt Mee area would be ok to do for a first time 4wder. I jumped at the idea and said I’d come to and help them out. I took the opportunity to do some education and some caching. Out with my favourite Geo friends getting some more caches. What a lot of fun today has been. TFTC
Found with the Team of TMZ59, Patrol14, Peppa, abeck58, Catboy67 and clanbeckett.
It's Australia Day and we've all got the day off work, so what else should we do, other than a 4WD and BBQ in the bush somewhere.
Peppa came up with the destination, abeck58 offered the use of his (work)vehicle, TMZ59 volunteered her services as Lead Vehicle and Patrol14 came along for moral support.
After half the team attended an event at Scarborough the other half of us had a bit of a sleep in and we all rendezvoused at The Gantry. Then the fun began. 2 way radio's in place had abeck58 getting all the education he needed on his first experience at being a 4WDer with the trusty assistance of Catboy67 in the comms. Kids in the front of the car today, parents in the back seat .
Thanks to The Four Bears and Nyssaflutterby for bringing us to this area and providing our adventure today

Having completed Part I of the day with Patrol14 and TMZ59 in the Habanero Sport which involved the Australia Day Event at Scarborough and a couple of caches on the peninsula we’ve moved onto Part II…
Joining up with Abeck58, Catboy67, ClanBeckett & PirateLinda to tackle some of the 4WD tracks through D’Aguilar…
We came out of one part and headed back in to bush… a couple of water crossings (mud puddles) and here we are…
I admired the views, which are lovely, from a safe distance…
Tftc… very happy to have gotten this oldie today…

Absolutely stunning views from the lookout. Truly breathtaking. The cache was found swiftly after a stop at the lookout. Seen from the main track and quickly retrieved
Found it with my niece and nephew even though I managed to loose internet connection. All good at gz, tftc
Found on my walk on to the Somerset Lookout. Beautiful view. Many greetings from Denmark. Tftc.
Finally had the 4WD with us on a visit here so after lunch at the Gantry, not wanting to sit still for too long outside as it was so cold, we headed off along the tracks. We were expecting mere forestry trails but these rocky steep tracks really tested out our new Suzuki Vitara. Thankfully Rozi handled it all very well and we were amazed at the view from the lookout here. Even though it was very cloudy, we could see quite a way in the distance with the lakes and rivers in the middle of the view. We had no idea such a view was available here!
Nice big ammo can to find, just where described. Nicely hidden off the track so don't think the other passing vehicles noticed me lurking in the bushes. Cache was empty of swap for such a big space, so left a paper plane keyring and dinosaur. Also dropped off "Stolen by user brianajames" travel bug with it's collection of attachments.

The wet weather made the day great for a 4WD adventure, but unfortunately the view was fully clouded out. Happy to find the cache … spot on the GZ. Thanks for the cache
First trail hike for 2022 decided better get the cache that’s here.. nice views love this place the hike is also nice only 13km which isn’t to big.
Today's plan was D'Aguilar National Park, with a planned Community Celebration Event at The Gantry in the afternoon. On route, I found a few more of the *Pacman* series near Dayboro, and then entered D'Aguilar National park via Mount Brisbane Road. The Jeep enjoyed the mountainous terrain, and a trip to Dianas Bath was quite scenic. Then, the Jeep's 4WD-ing was tested driving north up A Break, and it was a case of being committed, that I made my way through. A final loop around Western Escarpment Forest Drive was had, before a few last stops at Falls Lookout and Bulls Falls, and Mill Rainforest Walk. On my drive returning home, I managed to attack another cluster of Dayboro geocaches, until running out of daylight.
This geocache has been on my target/priority list given its age; a nice oldie 06/2004 hidden geocache, and one of Queensland's 100 oldest yet active geocaches.
I took a loop around this circuit, passing by Lakes Lookout. I wasn't sure if I would have the time, but it turned out to be a pretty good track. I arrived, and decided to enjoy the views first, with another group of walkers enjoying the lookout also.
I then took a walk in finding this geocache, and with thanks to Lozbucket's accurate coordinates, I managed to find it pretty quickly. I had this geocache saved in my offline list from the night before, so it was only in the nick of time that the CO managed to update the coordinates, saving me a search in the vicinity (and lucky I had a small amount of phone coverage here). The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I took the TB for onwards travels. Thanks The Four Bears for the cache placement, and Nyssaflutterby for its ongoing maintenance.
Interestingly enough just down the track, there was a car wreck that looks like it has been there for a good 5-10 years!

Headed out here with two of my besties for some packtraining before a few multi-day hikes coming up.
It's such a beautiful forest to explore and we loved completing the circuit.
The wind was blowing a gale but the view was spectacular!
Water was boiled, coffees and snacks consumed, and then a cache was to be found.
Blundered around in the plants for a bit before finding the correct stump. Hooray! My coords were about 25-28m out - the cache location is quite close to the dirt road and north of where I was getting 0. Have sent my coords to Nyssa.
Dropped a new TB heading out into the wild, and trampled back to the gantry. I will certainly do this track again - it's so lovely here!
Thanks heads for replacing, Nyssa! Favourite point from me

Due to constant muggle activity and losing this cache more than once. I have decided to move the container where it is less likely to be found by those thieving muggles.

Tftc four bears, nice drive through the National Park to get to this spot. Loving the view from here.
Sadly the ammo can (description) is no longer here. Just log book in a bag.
Had a heavy duty ziplock with us so have used that to give a bit more protection.
Thanks for bringing us here

Beautiful view. Some small rocks to traverse to get to this cache but not too difficult to get to. Thanks for the cache
Brislions and I headed out for some 4wd driving today. It wasn't required to access all the caches, but came in very handy at one or two. This cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
I have had these caches on my list for nearly a year. After the last attempt which went wrong. I had come back to these again.
I had talked to Selva Girls awhile ago about these caches. And she said “make sure you take me” as she doesn’t have a 4WD.
It was a fun day driving around D’Aguilar National Park. We found all but 2 a lot further South, need to come back for those.
Nearly got stuck once. Lucky for us it was going up hill. And rollout of the soft dirt.
After finishing in the National Park we headed up to Mapleton to get the other target for the day. Which was Bamboozled.
We had a great day caching. The count for today was 10 Trads, 3 mystery and 1 letterbox (which I found later by myself)
All found in good condition. Sorry for the generic post.

So now real ciew today as the rain had set in. Made a quick dash to the cache. Admired the wrecked car, and it was time to go as we didn’t want to be stuck out here and travelling on roads we didn’t know.
Out and about today with Chamad, Willis007 and JACS Teams for a bit of off road action around Mt Mee State Forest chasing some oldies and a few other caches in between. Our day starting bright and early at 6:30am after a necessary stop off to Dayboro Bakery for some much needed coffee.
After our short break it was time to hit the road and make our way to Mt Mee Forest and get ourselves off road and hopefully make it out in one peace since some of those tracks looked a bit iffy, but the beast had no issue navigating through the tough terrain to get us where we needed to go. We had a wonderful action packed day and really enjoyed exploring the area. It was a shame the weather took a turn for the worse as it started to pour it down towards the end of our journey, but we pushed on and found all the caches we were after.
We didn't anticipate doing this one, but after grabbing the other ones we decided to anyway, considering it's an oldie we might as well grab it while we're here. By now it's absolutely pouring it down, so we wanted to make sure we found it quickly, but seeing as it's a lookout we wanted to admire the view to, unfortunately it wasn't much of the view thanks to the low cloud and rain. I didn't want to get too close to the edge as it looks like it's a long way down, nope, no thanks. I took a few photos and the cache was finally found, quickly signed and off we went back to the car soaking wet, was it worth it looking at the view? Totally!
Thank you for bringing us here to check out the amazing view and the busted up car to I guess.

What a great day out caching today. I had contacted JACS Team, Willis007 and GeoNayfee and told them of my plan for the day all jumped on board. The plan was to drive around Mt. Mee and grab a few oldies and whatever else we passed by.
Our first cache was Bulls falls; this was a particularly important cache for JACS as it would make her 50th old cache, and for me my 48th. We parked at the designated spot and there was no one around here today so we had the place to ourselves. A short walk in and we reached the spot, it wasn’t long before the call came out and the honours of first to sign was given to JACS to sign.
Back at the car it was then a drive to Mills Walk. Again we could only drive to the gate as the road down had been shut off due to a fallen tree. So an extra bit of a walk down the hill was required. An easy walk to the trail head to another barricade, but with just 80 mtrs to go we found a way in and made it to the cache; cache number two for the day and oldie number two.
Back at the car it was then off on a drive, a detour around and we made it to Hear Em, an easy find and then back in the car for a drive around to Dianna’s Bath. This was a fun walk and we encountered some unusual items along the way but made it to an awesome spot. With cache soon spied and signed it made number 50 for me. On the way back to the car we took a different track up which turned out to be way easier and less bush bashing.
Back in the car we were then onto the “A” track to grab the ones along this track. All were found easily and the track was fun for the 4wders amongst us.
Wow we are done already so a decision was made to grab Lakes Lookout, today was probably not the best day for the lookout as it was pouring down with rain and the view was just of the valley below.
What a great day and thank you to my fellow cachers for the day and to the CO’s for placing these caches up here.
After some conversations during the week, a plan came to life early this morning which saw CHAMAD take JACS Team, GeoNayfee and myself on a fantastic day of 4WDing around Mount Mee to collect some golden oldies and a few other well placed caches in this area.
After meeting at Dayboro bakery at 6.30 we found the 3 oldies around here, and wanted to collect Fangsoki's and a couple of other caches in this area.
The drive to gz was a lot of fun, CHAMAD's 4WDing skills were certainly needed for some of the hills we climbed to get here. Just as we arrived, the heavens opened to provide some more much needed rain. This did hinder our views somewhat, we could see Somerset over to the right, having spent last weekend there collecting Dark side caches, I was looking forward to seeing more of Wivenhoe from this perspective. Now I have a good reason to come back this way .
Arriving at gz the cache was quickly found. Log signed and the cache replaced as found.
We raced back to the car to get out of the rain and headed back towards Dayboro.
Thanks Nyssaflutterby for maintaining the cache here.
And a big thank you to CHAMAD for taking us on this super fun 4WDing adventure. Couldn't have found these without him offering to bring us out here.

A large group of muggles were having lunch right at GZ so I had to wait them out while admiring the views. Eventually, they left and I swooped in to quickly find the cache right under a rock one of the muggles had been sitting on. Thanks for the cache
My Target cache for the day, being one of QLD's oldest five hundred active caches this has been on my wish list for ages - but today was the day. 1MinnieMoo, Fangsoki, oz_bean_counter and mini-Beans (x2), and myself, in the mighty Canyonero and Miss Suzee have been 4WDing form the south end of this area with a decent little hike in the middle, lunch in a dirt carpark, and now as the day wears on we have wended our way out here.
And oh WOW! What amazing views. I can see why this spot is a must-go-to-spot. The afternoon sun was well timed actually as it glistened off Somerset, and have Wivenhoe a deeper blue shade. What an amazing spot. FP for that alone, but the cache was a favourite ammo can too, easily found after all the effort of getting here (nice), and for the history of it. And for the great day we all had in the great company of mates.
Thanks The Four Bears for entertaining me at this location.

The tenth and penultimate cache for today! A tribe of weary adventurers - Fangsoki, 1MinnieMoo, Pantaloon Prime, myself and my two trouble makers, set out from Dayboro Bakery for a day of fun, 4WDing, a little walk (which we underestimated!) and some great views.
From Dayboro, we generally headed north through Mt Mee to the Gantry, with a few stops along the way to write our names in scrap pieces of paper inside ammo cans and PVC pipe. Strange hobby we have, but I'll take it. I'm tired, happy, a tad sunburned, and very proud of my kids. Such an amazing experience - my first time 4WDing. Thanks so much to the others for making this lovely day happen.
This cache was found in good order.
Really really happy to find yet another of Queensland's oldest 500 active geocaches. This one has the most amazing stunning views. Very much worthy of a FP - I can see why the CO wanted to bring people here!

Today was a day for some 4WD adventure, with Fangsoki, Pprime, oz_bean_counter and her kidlets around Mt Mee, with oz_bean_counter and the kidlets having their maiden 4WD voyage.... and loving it. It was quite the journey around today, with some tracks much rougher than they had been on our previous journeys around here, but it all adds to the excitement of course (unless, perhaps, you are the driver, as it certainly is tiring work). Final stop for the group as a whole today was this cache, which only Fangsoki had previously done. We headed here to be instantly greeted with quite the car wreck. It seems someone has taken the Liberty (pun intended) to steal a Subaru and take it for quite the joyride, ending it’s journey perched in quite the location.
After checking out the car-tastrophe, we headed up to the lookout and could’ve almost forgotten the cache completely for those gorgeous views! What a spot! And what a way to end the 4WD adventure.
Having added our names to the logbook, it was then time to say farewell to Pprime’s carload, as Fangsoki and I headed for home, while they continued on for Mill Walk.
Thanks for the cache The Four Bears, and for keeping it going Nyssaflutterby. A favourite point for today’s fun and the beaut location at the end.

Keeping up our training in anticipation of being allowed to do the Overland Track in Dec we decided to do the Somerset Trail walk for distance training. 13 km loop was a great distance and it was a nice easy walk - compared to some of the mountains we have recently climbed! The views from the lookout were amazing. It was quite foggy and rainy when we started so views weren't expected but it cleared up to a beautiful day. Thanks for this cache making the walk extra value by getting a smiley. Cache was quick to find.
Was out camping at Neurum creek.
Came out and introduced some friends to geocaching.
Tftc , what an amazing spot.

Came up here with Hallysgirl as the second last stop on our caching adventure. Brief look around at GZ before spotting something that didn't seem quite right. You beauty. Number 10 for the day found. Log signed and cache rehidden as found.
What an amazing place this national park is. Will one day come back to complete the Somerset walking track. In the meantime I will just sit and admire the view from the nearby.
Many thanks for leaving this cache here for us to enjoy

What a beautiful winter day to go for a walk. Great views from near the cache site. TFTC
Rather than our what is becoming our Sunday hike we decided to stay with 4 wheels and venture out to the dirt to discover D'Aguilar National Park / Mt Mee.
The views today made the drive around the Park well worth it. When we arrived we had the rock to ourselves, by the time the cache was found we had to sign and replace with stealth as all the muggle walkers turned up - some even just walked on past the view and didn't even stop to look.

We hiked the summerset trail to this cache. Loved the view and had a break. Quite a few muggles around. Cache in great condition. Tftc!
#4901 [11:38] nice spot, this time more driving than walking thanks for taking us here and showing such a nice view.

What a beaut location for a cache!! Love it. Views ‘forever’.
We might never have come here if not for this cache.
Thanks heaps for bringing us here. All in great condition here.

Stopped by here on the Forest drive. Lucky there was a cache to make the stop worthwhile, as the view today was rather misty through 10/10ths cloud over the valley. An easy find. Mrs George has walked to this spot many times, but never driven here, so it was a new experience. The drive was fairly quiet today with very few vehicles sighted all morning. Maybe the drizzly rain has put folk off - they don't want to get their shiny 4x4s muddy? Sadly we forgot to bring swaps, so just added to the log and replaced. TFTC, Four Bears.
Found with bennyboppers mnance101 and jemillalucy today. Took a little searching, ee seemed to be going around it but eventually mnance101 made the find. Tftc
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). Great views! TFTC!
Did the 13km return walk from the Gantry picnic area. Beautiful day and lovely scenery. Took a bit over 2 1/2 hours to complete the circuit.

1:46:00 PM. Found the right track and got to GZ. The track we were on wasn't even on the GPS even though there were plenty of others. With the grandkids searching I eventually found the hide and showed them. We signed the log and replaced. Great views up here that we wouldn't have seen if not for geocaching. Could see and hear the storm coming so headed out. Thanks Nyssaflutterby for the cache.
Found on our Saturday day out with geokids - on a way to the D'Aguilar national park. It was hard to resist not to pick few geocaches on our way there.
We've been here on a hike with boys pretty much 4 yrs back while one was 3yrs and second 6yrs old and it was quite a disaster. This time we had our new 4WD with us and it felt quite dehonesting I've agreed with them that we'll make this hike in winter 2018 again so they can check how much they improved.
Anyway, that view is spectacular and we've found the cache in about 10 minutes. We've also made it to the Rocky Hole which became a highlight of our weekend then.
Thanks for a nice cache @The Four Bears and fav point from me.

Stunning lookout to stop at after checking out the 4wd tracks in the park. Took a bit of hunting but got it in the end! TFTC!
What a fantastic drive through the forest for this one and spectacular views across to Somerset and Wivenhoe Dams. After finding the cache, we stopped at the lookout for a picnic before continuing our days caching. This one deserves a favourite point for the great adventure. TFTC Nyssaflutterby
I joined Gib69 on an outing with the Amorok Club and Mt Mee was the destination... Naturally, caches were downloaded and when we pulled up for a short break at a lookout, I reached for the GPS to see if there was anything near... [^]
Hmm, a cache at 33m, that's handy I thought. We headed to the lookout, snapped a couple of obligatory pics, then got stuck into the hunt. I went a bit wide with my search and came up empty handed, before following the GPS back to a more likely place and spying a likely hidey hole "just over there"...
I removed the camo and unveiled the cache, enabling our names to be added to the list. Container back in place, we continued our journey, which later in the day resulted in tackling A Break in both directions... A fun day out and the easiest T4 cache I have found...
Cheers Four Bears.

Out and about on Mother's Day and geokid #1 found this one (we think).
The coordinates were a fair way off and the container doesn't look anything like the one in some of the photos but the log book inside seemed legit so we signed it and replaced.
