Found It!A nice walk in here to a beautiful spot that I probably would never have known about if not for this cache! Luckily it didn't take me long to find the cache once I got to the right elevation.TFTC
With a previous DNF, no hint, and over a year since the last found, I didn't have high hopes in locating this cache.
Upon arrival near GZ, Gronk and I took in the surroundings and had a bit of an explore of the majestic area. We admired the discarded(?) bike near by - Would have been a bit of mission to get it here.
Unable to read the previous logs due to a lack or reception, we looked around blindly for the cache and luckily won. Cache was in good condition, log was dry, so we were able to sign in before continuing on and travelling around the forest track.

Found the tree and the rock as previously described but no cache for us.
This was the one I was after. The phone went well till I got to the turnoff where I marked the spot then there was no reception luckily had the GPSr with me then headed off. Got to the Falls then started to get worried about getting to a spot I couldn't get down. No ACL in left knee wet, slippery mossy rocks aren't a good combination for stability. Lucky I read some of the logs so knew roughly where I was to look. Slow and steady got to the right level.
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache SWAG Cade
Worthy of a favourite point
Then the walk back to the car. In all 2.6 km and 85 minutes elapsed much of that trying to work out how to get to where I wanted too in the safest manner
The following TBs visited for the distance - Hawkesbury Tiger, 2011- 2020 NSW geocoins, Area 51 Tag, Cache In Trash Out Geocoin, Cache In Trash Out Tag, CITO Micro Geocoin, dirty Black Juke, Four Elements Geocoin, Mary Hyde's compass, Optical Illusion Geocoin, Spindoc Bob Memorial Geocoin, Trackable Building Brick, Wales Flag, Wheel of Caching Geocoin

Found a while ago but lost the saved files on my phone to complete the recording and don’t remember this one so well compared to the ones on the royal walk. Tftc

What a lovely hiding place this is - tricky to get to with 1x8-year old and 2x4-year olds, but worth the excitement.
Had our lunch just below the waterfall first, then started our quest to locate the cache.
Excellent spot.

What an interesting piece of geology this cave is. We loved the walk in and the cave was amazing. The creek was flowing well and after reading previous logs the cache was soon in hand. A favourite from us.
An interesting day walking through the dense forest. Found the cache thanks to clear GPS coordinates and some hints from previous logs. When we went, the spring was completely dry. I have no idea how you are supposed to reach the cache when water is flowing. Also the hint being "LoL nO hInT" was puzzling, especially with the lack of network access at GZ.
Out caching today targeting older hides this one caught our eye so decided to take on the walk and check it all out,the walk is was very nice, sure is a beautiful spot down in here.
It wasnt long at all til we reached the cave just before GZ,now this really impressed me...loved it!
Grabbed a heap of pics here before working our way around to GZ.Here we struggled for to locate anything until we noticed coords in previous logs, once we punched those in we were in much better shape and straight onto it.
We found a strange looking gecko sitting right on GZ,one I had never seen before so that was also really cool.
After signing we started the walk back up and were soon back at the car quicker then expected.
A nice walk and a top spot to visit.
Thanks SWAG Cade for the cache

OCWF&F. Always fun caching in a group. It was a top caching day. Thank you to all the COs whose caches we found and adding to the enjoyment of this game. TFTC
Parked at the gate to Lady Carrington Drive and walked along the trail. Eventually we turned onto the Pelona Cave (Limestone Caves) Track and made our way towards the cave and cache.
To locate the cache, we referred to previous logs hinting towards a "vertical semi-burnt tree, near a rock, just above the creek". Bonfire7 came up with the find. Thanks For The Cache.

I found this one a couple of days ago on the 22/6/19 but my log did not publish. After picking up some caches on the engadine track, I drove though the nasho and parked at the closest parking to the cache. I made the walk down the trail until the gps told me to turn right. I couldn’t make out a walkable track so I decided to follow the creek up stream. I bush bashed about 250m up the creek when I starting getting poor gps signals so I trekked it up to higher ground and I manage to stumble on the track! Now on the track I was making up heaps of time that otherwise would of been lost. I reached gz and found the cache without too much trouble the coordinates were pretty good. Signed the log tftc
This was a cache that had been on my radar for a while. I had spotted it while checking the map to see what caches were active in the area and this old school one caught my eye.
As i was heading down the coast today I originally approached this from the northern Loftus end of Lady Carrington Dr. The google map directions showed i could drive all the way to the limestone caves turnoff. Suffice to say i was blocked by a gate across the road about 10km from that point.
Turning around and heading to the other end of Lady Carrington i parked and headed down the road. I was passed along this section by a rider who, 10 mins later came past me again in the opposite direction.
After turning off the road onto the track to the limestone caves i headed up it and was pleased to hear the waterfall as i was approaching the GZ as the temperature was rising at the same speed as the sun.
I ended up using the coordinates supplied by Brewmaker to find the new replacement cache and the remains of the old one.
This was the second cache ive located that had been melted in a fire. The other being GCWXHH Repeat Your Last?
After signing duties I sat at the top of the waterfall for a while and cooled my feet in the water before heading back.
Thanks to Mr Roo for replacing the cache.

I love how geocaching can really surprise you when you least expect it. After dropping my son off for work experience, I had a vague plan to find a couple of caches in the shire. I ended up finding two old school caches to help fill some holes in my Jasmer grid and another qualifier for the D2,4T Challenge - all up, 3 excellent adventures.
I added this one to my todo list some time ago and driving to Stanwell Park via the Royal National Park reminded me about it. Still had a bit of time up my sleeve on the return trip so made the detour. Would have been nice to bring the mountain bike with me but it was a pleasant enough walk on this cool'ish morning. Nearly missed the turn off up the faint track. Enjoyed the features around GZ and just wished I had a bit more time for exploring. Brew's coordinates are spot on and made for a quick find. Loved the re-use of the previous camo and thanks for the community maintenance. Great to see these old school caches being looked after.

What a great area and track that i didn't know about. Spent some time looking at the cave before knuckling down and finding the cache fairly quickly including the remnants of the old cache melted onto the current caches camo. Cheers SWAG Cade for the cache and Brewmaker and Matt for the recent post fire restoration. Certainly worth the walk. TFTC
Arranged this one with Matt to replace this one. I was on a packwalk with my bushwalking club and was camping in the cave for the night. I found the old cache and replaced it with a brand new container. I left the old one which was stuck to a rock as part of the camo of the new one. TFTC
The big bushfire in January that took out 15% of the national park also took out this area as well. Thought it may survive as the caves are right down in a gully but the heat was too much for it in the end. And as the geocache owner is not active anymore, if no one replaces it, it probably should be archived.
Found it. Thought it might survive the big fire in the Royal National Park since the fire map showed it just missing the limestone cave area. Unfortunately it wasn't the case. From when I went a few months ago just before the fire, it has raced through and cleaned out most of the thick undergrowth that was around the area which did make it easier to find. I always thought I made finds harder than they needed to be especially as I went way too high to find it last time. This time I printed Brewmakers and Catony's notes and bushbashed my way to see if it survived, which it didn't as the intense heat of the fire was way too much for it to survive even though it was buried under 2 rocks. See attached photo.
Don't archive yet! If I'm back in that area in the next month I'll replace it. Unless someone else wants to visit! A nice place in the RNP. Let's try to keep these rather than lose them.
Please consider it inactive until I get there to replace the container in the next 7 days since the geocache owner is also inactive.
And I will keep an eye on it with Mattf428 so this nice spot can continue to attract cachers.
Had a long look today but lost Brewy's note when I lost phone signal even though I saved the cache offline. Thought I looked all around that area as I was up above the cave and at those coordinates mentioned but will have to go back with a copy and paste of Brewmaker's hint.
Was out cycling along Lady Carrington Drive today and stopped to take the hike to the limestone caves. A check on this cache and I can say it is still in place and is all good inside. The camo is still in place in exactly as Catony's previous hint suggests. That is: "check burnt vertical tree with hollow near a big rock overlooking the creek". See attached photo as proof of it's existence. As CO doesn't seem to be active I'm happy to check on it now and then. So go find it folks! Maybe try these coords if you're still having difficulty trying to find it. S232 E 344 but remember the tree cover plays havoc with your GPS signal. Good luck!
I visited this area again a few months ago (July?) and I checked to see if it was still there. It was where I had found it last year. The hint from CATONY is spot on - "pay more attention to the burnt out trees that are still vertical, particularly one near a rock & close to & just above the creek!" Try his coords too - S34 08.232 & E151 02.347
Tavelled to Sydney to go to the figure eight pools today got there and it was not safe to complete so we headed for Palona Caves, attempted to find this one, disappointing the CO wont give up clues until after an unsuccessful find as we wont be back here anytime soon if at all in the future
Took the mountainbikes there from Audley and hiked up the to the caves. It was an amazing day for it. Unfortunately I didn't save the log/comments for offline browsing - only the coordinates. The GPS was all over and kept jumping around. We searched for around 20min and had to give up. Did find a few leeches, which the daughter wasn't so excited about. Will be back to this one in the summer, plus swimmers to cool down in the river - looks amazing.
Knew this one was going to be a challenge from past logs. It is quite a way to walk (and climb) to come away without a find. Once I got to the top, I could appreciate the challenge. Talk about a needle in a haystack. The GPSr was all over the place. But I knew this from past logs and appreciated the guidance from CATONY's log. Really helped. I did zoom in on a suspect location and another nearby that matched the clues, but no cache. I was "stumped". Re-reading the log..... OK - that's not what I am looking for. Found it. Thank goodness. Log is still damp but functional. We saw a lyrebird on the way in and enjoyed this lovely park at our doorstep. TFTC SWAG Cade
I didn't sleep very well the night before, but when I got up it was quite late. A quick coffee to go and I was out the door for a cache hunt. Though I had yet to decide where to go. I found my way onto the Princes Highway before deciding on having a go at this.
Lots of people were walking and cycling along Lady Carrington Drive today, but it seemed like I was the only one going to the cave.
The terrain played havoc on my gps signal. I climbed up really high and it took about 10 minutes of searching before my gps settled back to where I started. Once back at the starting point I just packed it away and went by the old fashioned way. Lots of potential hiding places, but it was one of the least expected (for me and my experience) places where I spotted the obvious hiding camo.
Still a bit damp inside. I attempted to dry the inside of the container, but my trousers were already wet from crawling around slippery areas so it didn't help much. It still needs a bit of drying out, but the log was usable.
Thanks for the cache.

Mother's Day! What a better excuse then to take her kids away and let her sleep in. We cycled from Audley to the south and on the way back took a detour via the limestone caves.\n\nThe detour was nice, the path was tiny and overgrown and full of leeches. GeoDirk managed to slip of a rock onto the ground. And we weren't even halfway the caves... \n\nAfter admiring the caves and the waterfall and the creek it was time to search. I climbed the waterfall in a way a salmon doesn't and went of to GZ. My experience of getting two or three directional shots towards a common point and search there showed about the same location. \n\nHowever, nowhere something which could hold small objects related to C. After about half an hour I gave up and left the area. On my way back more leeches, but they didn't manage to get rid of the feeling of failure....
When my muggle mate said we should go for a bike ride along Lady Carrington Drive and check out the Palona Brooke waterfall and Limestone Cave, I knew this would be an opportunity to try C4. I also knew that it would be a difficult find, but with a little advice from some previous finders, I was prepared to give it a try.
After an enjoyable but wet cycle from the Waterfall end to Audley and back, we parked our bikes at the trail entrance and ventured towards our destination. Despite a few stops on the way to remove several leeches following the overnight rain, we eventually reached the impressive caves and the nearby waterfall, which was flowing rapidly after the recent rain.
After climbing up above the waterfall, I left my mate to ponder whilst I headed further away in search of the cache. Initially my compass had me going in different directions, until I headed back to where I came from. Then I spied something that looked a bit out of place, and there it was under its cover! And it only took me about 10 minutes, given it could be anywhere up there. NB: Catony's description is pretty useful!
I checked and signed the log, which was a little damp, but still okay and the cache container needs a good airing given its placement. Very pleasing to find this one which is still around after nearly 12 years. This was the 100th day of my streak, so it was a nice way to celebrate this milestone of caching, so a favourite from me for the personal significance, the fantastic location with its great sights and photo opportunities, and the longevity of this cache in our beautiful Royal National Park. And we saw a few lyrebirds along the track whilst out riding today. TFTC. #544

Went for a nice ride along Lady Carrington Drive. Stashed the bike on the hiking track up to Palona Cave. The sign at the bottom says its 1.6km but it was not that far more like 600m. Had the place to myself. I hadn't been here in a very long time. The cave itself was nice and cool and the water fall was flowing but slowly. I searched here and there, knowing full well I should pay attention to the GPS. It was telling me where to go. I was lucky enough to see a beautiful female lyre bird just watching me as I scrambled about and a small water monitor kept jumping out in front of me. Very cheeky. I enjoyed my journey to GZ and hunted about for quite some time and always came up empty handed. I was about to admit defeat when I glanced in a direction I'd dismissed and thought hmmm, haven't looked over there. Worth a look. So walking back over the same ground, I changed direction and saw something. Yep that looks out of place. And there I revealed the well hidden cache. It was interesting reading the log book and seeing names who had been caching when I started but who were no longer around. The cache is in great condition considering its 11 years old. Unfortunately I had to tip out a little water and the logbook was damp but still usable. The cache could do with a decent drying out. I was quite pleased with myself on the return journey having found this without hints or help from anyone and on the first attempt. Got my caching mojo today. Picked up the bike and had another pleasant ride back to Audley.
Had a good go at this one. Its a lovely walk up a mysterious side track to a location i never would have noticed without this cache encouraging me up here. What a lovely place hidden away.
We looked around for ages climbing up waterfalls, looking around rocks but alas to no avail. Maybe we'll have to ask for that "extra clue" from SWAG after all
Hmmmm. C4. I wonder whether thats a clue!

We went to Helensburgh/Sutherland today... wow! Here are some very awesome caches! Thank you for this cache, really enjoyed finding this! (:
How does this cache not have more favourites?! Time to fix that!
Parked near the gate where we found someone had kindly left two nice walking sticks. Geodad took one and off we went. I decided to plug in CATONY's coordinates. The trail is made for mountain biking and I hope to return to try it out. We found the trail junction and realised how easy it is to miss! The trail continued to be well groomed and soon enough we were at the cave. Beautiful. And a waterfall! So beautiful. But why the 3.5 star terrain? Oh I see. The coordinates are pointing to the top of the waterfall... thankfully the coordinates lead us straight to the cache - so many hidey holes! Took a detour to avoid the slippery way down. Leach count: 4. Geodad returned the walking stick for the next intrepid cacher. What a great experience!

Should have brought the bike as it would have made the first bit a lot easier.
Loved the formations at the overhang and with some difficulty finally found the well hidden cache.
It has been a while and it was virtually buried. Found the hide and nothing so had a dig in the leaf litter and there it was. Thank goodness.
Thanks Catony for the clue and co-ords without it I doubt I would have even been close and gone home frustrated and empty handed.

It was a beautiful day for a bike ride, so I chucked the kids and the bikes in the back and headed down to the Park. I have wanted to visit this cache for a long time and today was finally the day.
Had an easy ride along Lady Carrington Drive to the Limestone cave track then hid the bikes in the bushes and went for an easy walk to the caves. Once there the kids marvelled over the beauty of the caves. It's a shame some visitors have scribed their names into the rocks. While the kids were playing in the caves I scooted up top to make a very quick find thanks to previous logs. I took the Raven GC and left nothing. We walked back to our bikes which were thankfully still there.
I was hoping to see a bit more wildlife but all we saw was a dragon.
Great day out. TFTC.

TFTC SWAG Cade,
I have been to most places in the Royal National Park but have till today, never visited the Limestone Cave. It is an amazing place and it was good to share this find with nana nel.
Having completed my 376 day streek last year, it is time to get involved and find all the more difficult caches that I overlooked or just didn't have the time to attempt. I have decided to try and locate all the outstanding RNP and Heathcote NP caches first. However, the weather is warming up more quickly than I expected and with the increased snake activity I may have to move on to others and come back to the rest next winter.
Walking in from the southern end of Lady Carrington Drive we had an encounter with cycleists who failed to advise us thet were behind by using a bell. As we started up the track that would take us to the cave, we noticed 4 bikes spread along the side of the track and wondered if they were dumped or belonged to people who had gone up to the cave. As we approached GZ we could hear voices and to our and there surprise, it was the cycleists who don't warn you that they are there. Lucky for us, they were leaving.
A check of the GPS and it was clear we needed to go higher. nana nel wasn't happy about that but pushed on with a helping hand most of the way. At GZ I saw what was a possible hide and the container was soon in hand. We were lucky as it seems others have spent a lot of time trying to locate the container. We read a few of the old log enteries and signed the book. I made the last entry a bit clearer, visited a group of trackables and left "Raven GC" to spend some time with other wild animals before continuing it's adventure with others. A favorite for bringing me to this interesting location. I checked the Coordinates provided by CATONY and found they were about 11M out. My GPS was showing a distance of 2M. I believe the photos I have added say it all. GREAT SPOT.

GREAT SPOT.
I forgot to mention in my log I was sans pen so etched and blackened my name- photo attached!
A last minute opportunity arose for the Sydney to Gong bike ride and looking at the map I thought this one isn't that far from the route .
So, when everyone went right I went left and before too long was at the start of the track. Pushed the bike for a bit then abandoned ship and headed for the caves. An interesting geological feature with some real underground cave looking bits.
I had plugged in CATONY's co-ords and after the GPSr doing a bit of a spin I spotted a likely spot and before long had the cache in hand. Glad to have another RNP one off the list. Then back onto the bike down to Wollongong! TFTC!

Found with sesblocker. Had to wait for a muggle couple to finish up their picnic. The RNP was full of muggles today. Thanks CATONY for your words of wisdom.
Found with "The Neighbs". Great day for this cache! there were a handful of muggles about. It was a beautiful place for a snack.
For future cachers - the start of the track is marked with a timber sign on the opposite side of Lady Carrington Drive stating "Limestone Caves 1.6km". The sign is only visible if you were heading south along the drive. The caves are defininately not 1.6 kms from the drive.

beautiful caves and waterfall. Pretty slippery climbing up the waterfall. Thanks, I would never have ventured that far off lady carrington drive if there wasn't a cache there, or known those caves were there. worth the walk. took the spider, left a necklace and googly eye.
We found it!! First attempt with help from some previous comments... Woo! Took cd left safety device. Great spot! Tftc
Finding this cache was important to us as this was our last unfound cache in the Royal National Park. This morning I set off to Palona Caves & enjoyed the brisk walk down Lady Carrington Dve keeping a sharp eye out for the turn off to the caves, it`s easy to miss if you`re not careful. A quick break was had at the caves & then very carefully climbed up the face of the waterfall, recent rains certainly had it flowing well & you need to be rather careful not to slip but once at the top of the falls I let the GPS settle for a while & went off in search of this elusive cache, this is where the trouble starts as the location is in a bit of an amphitheatre & the very best accuracy I got was an EPE of 7 metres, much of the time I had an EPE of 12 or 14 metres! I checked & re checked what I thought was a likely spot, searched & searched all around where GZ was on the GPS and after nearly 2 hours conceded defeat and thought i`d have to once again put this one on the backburner, luckily I decided to head back to the creek a slightly different way than the way I came up. At a particular spot the GPS was still showing me as being near GZ and this spot was just a little bit further out from my previous search areas, almost straight away I spotted something "not quite right" so had a closer look & there was the cache, I had almost walked past it earlier, would have been a few metres at most away from it but at last I had it in my hands, log duly signed after reading some of the earlier logs, TNLN. *******BEWARE, THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH CONTAINS SPOILER INFORMATION**********
For those looking for this cache I wasted a lot of time checking out the hollows of some burnt out trees & rock crevices, i`d suggest you pay more attention to the burnt out trees that are still vertical, particulary one near a rock & close to & just above the creek! All in all it was very satisfying to have finally found this one, it is hidden well & the poor GPS signal makes it that bit harder but the scenery & the walk are well worth it. I took a GPS reading at the cache site of S34 08.232 & E151 02.347 but bare in mind the EPE was about 14 metres , good luck.

We only have 3 more caches to find in the royal national park to have found them all & finding this one would have been nice but it wasn`t meant to be. Had a really good look around GZ after a slippery climb up from the caves, GPS told me I was at GZ with only 3 metres EPE but the cache eluded us today, so many likely spots it could be too.
We`ve been to palona caves before but today I had a reason to climb up the slippery rocks & check out the creek & waterfalls above the caves, TNX for bringing us here but looks like we have to concede defeat & ask for a hint.
Cheers, CATONY

Yahoo!! I am very pleased with this one. Had a nice walk in with spectacular weather and found the last part of the track easy as well. Arriving at GZ I was in for a long, long search (Iread the logs,so that is what I assumed). Enjoyed the scenery first a bit and went on for a search. Were would I put it? About there? Lets have a look! Suddenly I spotted a strange thing only cachers eyes would see! Could it be? Yes!! Within 5 minutes and exactly were I thought it would be, even the coords were very reliable for a place with such bad reception.

I have done so many tracks in this great National Park but to venture to Polona Caves has taken years but today I finally got here.
The waterfall was in full swing which caused quite a few problems coming up from the cave. Half way up I thought mmmm should have brought the camera that is in the backpack at the caves. Armed with a bit of a hint (Thanks MH) I still wandered around for a good 20 minutes to get the GPS settled to come across this cache. Could not sign the log as I did not have a pen (forgetfull day today) but luckily had my usual sticker to place in the log.
The climb back down was equally adventurous being extremely wet and slippery.
Today was a walk down from Sir Bertram Stevens drive via the Walamurra track to Lady Carrington Drive, North to pick up the track to Poloma Caves and return back to the top of Lady Carrington for the Forest Walk Loop and return on the Walamurra track to the cars. 16.5km on a fantastic sunny day.
Thanks for a great detour aand cache. The Waterfall and caves were great.
(and thanks again MH)

Woohoo! Found it at long last!!! And after several visits and hours of searching it turned out to be an easy find with good co-ords anyway. Funny old thing!
We now know this area like the back of our hands and have enjoyed seeing heaps of wildlife in the vicinity, aswell as making contact intimitely several times with the local leeches during our visits.
It's a fantastic spot, but we are so glad to finally get it off of our unfound list! Our last RNP cache too.
Thanks,
The Hancock Clan

Straight forward traditional cache. Had a great walk looked around the cave, then I went for GZ.

Wow! What a spot! Awesome cave and waterfalls. Well worth the walk on this rather warm day. Picked up all TB's and GC's as they'd been there a while. TFTC
Well this cache has been on the radar for probably 2 years and I have never attempted it. We're in the process of completing those harder local caches which have gone unfound.
We arrived at Lady Carrington after eventually getting past the film crew, they we're filming an Ad for the new Holden SIDI??
The walk along Lady Carrington is very nice, I recommend everyone to do it. Then for the uphill slug to the caves. When arriving, I think we disturbed a local writer sitting below the falls, as he left once we started roaming around him with head torches.
After about 20 minutes I was fed up with it, so I climbed further. I started to look in the many water holes in the rock, thinking the cache may be an under water adventure?? I sat and pondered. Then I decided to look at the GPS and see where it was actually pointing?? Wouldn't u know it! The Coordinates are spot on, should have trusted the gizmo after all.
Hey Spruce, I didn't see your name in the log?:)
Cheers Frippy

Well I came out here last week looking for this one as it was the last one gone unfound in the RNP for me but it was to stay that way till today when I brought Frippy along and I was off searching somewhere that I had not looked and get the whistle I have it ............................... so back I go and we do the duties, well last time I was here the trusty GPS was pointing in the other direction ??????????????? Great cache and top spot well worth the visit even twice. left 2 coins and a tbug thanks......
We too had trouble with co ordinates but we kept looking but after an hour I decided to pull the pin as I was walking out I saw something that gave me idea we were in the right spot so we checked one last time in a different area , sometimes you just have to look for the obvious and "oh look there it is". Great hide, great place.

Drat! We tried so hard to find this one but in the end had to admit defeat. Armed with head torches and gardening gloves we tried every little nook and cranny finding a whole heap of old stuff (mainly tin cans & foil). We then expanded our search and found a fairly likely speleological place but all we found was a huge fat black spider under a rock that didn't look too friendly and as it was getting late we called it a day.
Awesome spot though! The stalagmite & stalactite rock formations, especially where they've joined, are really good examples. Also, with all the rain that we had the day before, the water was pouring off of the rocks above and the place looked like a scene from Jurassic Park.
It's a super place and we'll certainly return if we perhaps get a further hint, however we didn't leave totally empty handed as later that night Mrs H spotted what looked like a big fat slug on the kitchen floor. The red blood surrounding it suggested what it most likely really was and sure enough, Mr H had a bleeding patch on his leg where a leech had been hiding all afternoon & evening. By the time he fell off it was evident that he'd had a good free meal and looked as though he was ready to pop!
Looking forward to returning. We'll be back...

GPS co-ords are way off. I have tried to find this twice now without a clue/hint becuase SWAG Cade hasn't replied to me after i asked for it. Can't find it without the clue or decent co-ords
Sadly, once very near GZ my GPS decided not to get a signal (it is very much an amphitheatre so this isn't surprising). Still, it's a great spot. Will try again soon!
Joined forces with cache track to achieve this result. We had very nearly given up due to poor sat reception on our GPS when cache track made the discovery about 20 metres from where we had been concentrating our search.
A very enjoyable adventure and a highly recomemended cache.
A very enjoyable adventure and a highly recomemended cache.
The weather was not looking to good on the trip up but the decision was to set out for GZ. Found the right entry point and headed for GZ.
So who's afraid of some rain (Not Us) after a short break under a rock overhang we headed off again. Arrival at GZ revealed a wonderful area to explore, and infinite spots to hide a cache. Rain made the hunt slippery, an reception dfficult.
Refreshed after a break for lunch, and our thinking caps on saw us hone in on the cache between rain showers, the business done, we beat a hasty retreat to try for another cache before heading home.
Many Thanks

What a spot for a cache. Blink and you miss the entrance to the track, but never new such beauty excisted there. Walking through the caves and looking at the Stalic mights and tights was amazing. Great waterfalls but rocks and trees played havoc with GPS. No clue needed, took us a bit to find but this was number 6 and we are getting tired. TFTH TNSL

Who would of thought this existed at the end of the track. Spent some time here looking for cache. GPSr played havoc with the rocks and trees. If you got the time persevere and you will find it. Unfortunately my photos from my camera/phone didn't come out well, maybe because we spent all day in the national park, this is our sixth one today. My feet are killing me, I'm tired and hungry, we still have a few more to do before dark. The falls would be spectacular after rain but today only a trickle. It is sooo coool in the cave.

No Sir; We didn't find it. Gizmo dropped out at around 70 metres from GZ and despite previous logs, there are zillions of places an unspecified container could have been hidden. Did find a hell of a lot of rubbish though.
We will be back!

Second time lucky following a hint from Hoojar. It still took some time to locate the cache, but eventually there it was; all the while being serenaded by a very vocal lyrebird.

I got out of the car and started walking whilst reading the Cache information. I was all of a sudden for pesimistic about my chances of making the find, but was in need of an afternoon walk anyway!
I got to GZ and snopped around for a little while. Within 5 minutes the location was revelled and I had signed the log. The book is slightly damp, but the cache itself is dry.
The walk out was pleasnt and in the fading evening light I spotted 2 Lyrebirds. One of them song me a fantastic song. Amongst the calls that it immatated I could pick a currawong, kookaburra and a whip bird! Wow!
Cheers,

A pleasant morning walk with the youngest Odlid kid, led to an easy find. An EPE of 50m but how many places are there to hide a cache in this sort of landscape?
Rule 1 "Look under the rock"
Great spot, haven't been here for 30 years or more.
TNLN cache in good condition and dry (but so was everything else, no water in the creek at all)

A cache to really test your GPS. A great walk in and out but couldn't find the cache. I'll take the rest of the tribe to help next time.
Being such a beautiful day we went for a nice walk along the coast looking for whales but never spotted any. So we did the cache on the way home. It was really weird how everything is green and water everywhere all the dams along the coast where overflowing. The waterfall near the cache had a good flow but the water disappeared when it reached the creek below.

Co-ords spot on once the GPS had settled using only 3 satellites! Easy find, but the container had an inch of water in, which was quite surprising...maybe the micro location fills with water!!...dried it out, logbook fine. TN left a ball....what are the cade cards for? seen them elsewhere, but I can't play them...
I checked out the best route to this cache on my topo map, and decided that the bike was the go. I should have read the map legend a bit more closely, as the last part of the track was a bit too much "M" for my MTB. I abandoned the bike and did the rest on foot.
What a fantastic location! The waterfalls are amazing (see photo).
Without the hint I was a little worried that I wouldn't find the cache, but I figured the exercise would do me good anyway. I searched for a while and had almost given up when I spotted a likely location. Woohoo! A very satisfying find. Thanks SWAG Cade!

Clues? - GPS took me right to it!
Caves! - visited both.
Swaps - none today.. dried the cache out a bit, though.

Back for a second bite at this one. This time armed with a clue and a pushbike I borrowed from camp quality.
Even old cachers like myself can often teach themselves a lesson or 2 and today was one of them... The clue had so many meanings that I was being to confuse myself, so I sat the gps down and 30min later I finally had a postion fix on the cache and presto. Nowhere near where I'd been searching before.. Thanks cade for a good cache.

I contacted Cade for the hint as requested. This was my second Cade cache for the day after doing Compute This. The rocks in the area were slippery after the rain. The co-ords were spot on and I found it quickly. It probably would've taken longer to find without the hint. I left a pen for future visitors but had to bend it so it would fit in the container. Thanks for setting this up Cade. It's a beautiful spot and a nice easy walk in.
I doubt I would have found this without the hint - too many other places to look and the GPS reception was awful.
But this place is so cool it's worth two visits anyway.
Took TB and left a cut coin.
