Puffed out man Good find gps is definitely a little off. Took us a bit to find but worth it.
I was in Warburton this morning for a group gravel ride, and searched out a few caches afterwards. After some finds at Westburn park, I headed uphill to this one. Finding a carpark close by, I thought it may be a quick find, but alas not. After inspecting some likely spots to no avail, I referred to previous logs and discovered that most finders had climbed further up. Clambering up the rocks, carefully I might add, wary of shifting rocks underfoot, I spotted another possible location, and an accompanying collection of rocks. The high quality container was then revealed, and the log signed. All in good dry condition. The descent was just as careful, one slip could be very unpleasant. TFTC ilukaperi, and for keeping this one in play
Like the last log noted, going higher meant a better view of the terrain and the find was made. Thanks for the cache.
Found it! We were on a mission to find the Paths of Dead today and to replace the broken container. As we were driving right past this one, I couldnt let the opportunity pass to find this cache too. After scrambling around for a while in couple of likely places, I decided to expand my search to a higher location. The GPS on my phone liked it better up there and I soon found the cache. A great container, everything is very dry. This is a very apt place for this cache. I always wondered what the tunnels and caverns were like under Helms Deep that Gimli explored with Legolas. TFTC SL
Very wet and slippery rocks, with tired legs, recipe for a drama! So i took it easy and slow and found it in the end. Was nicely tucked away and dry as a bone inside. TFTC
This place made me feel like there could be a giant sleeping.
GPS was a bit off after almost giving up I thought I will widen my search a bit.
I was about 15m below it the whole time.

Found In the morning whilst spending time with the wife and kids for mothers day followed by a pie from Milgrove.
Went off myself for this one because of the terrain.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

I have been slowly working on qualifying for the [Spread the MEGA-Love Challenge (GC58NTE)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC58NTE), and I was finally within only needing to find two or three more caches in order to finally being able to qualify!
So today's goal was to do just that, to try and find a few unloved caches and finally qualify for [GC58NTE](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC58NTE)!
So I opened up Project-gc and took a look to see if there were any groupings of unloved caches, when I saw there were a few surrounding the Warburton area.
So after work I hopped in the geomobile and headed toward Warburton via [Stop Yelling Beau #1 (GC1RZ65)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC1RZ65_stop-yelling-beau-1). After making the find at [(GC1RZ65)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC1RZ65_stop-yelling-beau-1) I headed towards this one.
There was actual another car parked at the nearest spot, and I saw a bunch of teen muggles playing around the area. So I headed back into town to try and find another cache there.
Once it started to get a bit late in the evening I made my return and the coast was clear.
The area was absolutely beautiful. I can now see why the muggle teens were out here, it was a stunning location. My phone had me a bit all over the place, however the [CO's Spoiler Photo Log](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=7163a7e9-8ed8-4127-ab8a-140a0ea03950) allowed me to lock on to GZ rather quickly and after about a minute or so the cache was in hand!
With that find the 376 day unloved streak was over. I hope this one get more love in the future. With this find I finally qualified for [GC58NTE](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC58NTE)!
This was such an amazing location and a great cache. Thanks for all the fun today and TFTC.

The cache container was in great shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Our thanks to Victourer for replacing this cache on our behalf. Its good to go. (MD)
Very fun cache, Found by jasper and Matt, while Me (Bowie) Bella and lachy were climbing, extra fun to climb, thanks for this cache;)
We could just see the cache, trapped under rocks.
We needed to remove some tricky rocks, which we were able to move.
The cache was lidless when found… none to be seen. It must have been knocked off during the rockslide.
It was found on an angle with the opening downwards.
This obviously kept it dry.
We didn’t have anything to close it with so we made a small cave to protect it… it’s now obvious as we built a small rock wall at GZ… It’s under the sticks.
It at the top of the dead tree. See photo
It you get that far, you will know

Nah and slippery rocks. Tried looking around for this one but gave up when the rocks started to wobble about. Will be back in less inclement weather.
Thanks nutcache, and the cache guardians, nice to scramble through the rocks again, it was an old stompem ground for me back in the 80s back then there was a set of Gates and a dudious looking red box with explosives written on it. I have the shameful honour of being in the one responsible for leaving the lock unlocked during an activity and a couple of kids on bikes pissed off with the chain and lock. Next time I looked the fences were replaced with big rocks. regards from Vic

Second visit to this location. First visit was a complete failure and I suspect it had been buried at the time.
On-site again today, and bot the area has changed. Looks like a massive part of the cliff face has come down. Only 3 trees now remain standing at GZ. We still spent some time looking, but it was pretty obvious the replacement container is there, under a lot of rocks.
Fortunately we bumped into a Cache Guardian who had a replacement container and was able to place my name in the new log.
Then it was time to go up. Boy is that cliff face very smooth. I was about half way up, when I thought this wasn't a smart move but, no way was I going to survive going down from that point. But what is a Dirtbag Adventure without that moment of wondering if you are going to die.
Thanks for the cache Nut Cache and Cache Guardians

What a location this one is. Looks like there has been some recent movement on the hill with a recent rock fall. It is certainly a true depiction on the theme location.

It looks like this one is in trouble. We'll attend to it as soon as we are able. (MD)
I looked for sooooo long even widening the search. If I’m blind today so be it, but it is a D/T 2 Guess I’ll be back!
Looked for ages on a very warm day in the sun! Moved tons of rocks looked at every base of the trees! Definitely something dead around here
Got a fright when we spotted a snake in our path, and not sure if it was dead or alive, gave it a wide berth. As we seemed to have spent our morning scrambling up and down hills, perhaps we were little tired, as we had no luck today.
Thanks anyway Nutcache and Cache Guardians. Will have another go next time we are in the area.

Out this way with Biggles1024 and SteMicMitSar for the last of the Yarra expedition events and picking up some caches along the way. I was hopeful of finding this one even with a few dnf’s. No such luck though finding the original cache, but I did get to sign the replacement log.

This one has us beat. Tried two ways and both had us scrambling up (and down) rocks. Either GPS is off, or the rating needs to be changed. Not a great experience with the 10yo in tow.
Phew! Got to within 52 metres and had to turn back. Will try again another day.
I was already running late before needing to head home, but had to stop and take a look at this one.
This might be the hardest T2 I've ever seen, but I had no luck finding the cache after 15 minutes.
Thanks anyway, until next time

Found it with g2711962 11.30-ish this morning after maybe 15 minutes scrambling around on the scree … the GPS fix was roughly 6m off, give or take, on our device.
Very recent tree-falls provided a little extra adventure.
Took nothing & left nothing … the container is crammed with goodies and condensation issues seem to be developing.
Beaut spot. Thanks, nutcache!

After a bit of a climb the cache was in our hands and signed. Loved the hiding spot and the connection to the book. TFTC Nutcache
Awesome! I see why it's called helms deep, very cool place to explore. We think there was something dead here though, as it smelled and there were heaps of flies.
Cool little place to explore and scramble over the rocks. Wonder how this one ended up in the tree?

I had heaps of fun climbing the wall of rocks - the kids started at the bottom and stayed in sight. A nice old hide in a spot you would not otherwise check out. For that reason this one gets a fav point - tftc
The day was all about Ausfox;'s 4000th find at Gollum's Cave and with that achieved it was now time to sample the area for the local caches.
With car parked in a suitable location we scrambled over the first small rocks. As the GPS settled it took me up a much steeper slope which was a higher terrain than expected but still nothing too bothering. Ausfox; had taken of in a different direction but it was my GPS that lead straight to the prize.
Thank you Nutcache for the smiley and cache Guardians for the upkeep

I headed out early today with SteMicMitSar to target some unloved caches and a couple of Letter box Hybrids. The weather gods continued to smile on us as we made our way up the rocky incline. It didn't take long for Steve to spot one also and then we had to scramble back down.

It was a great day to head out and find a few caches so I met up with biggles1024 on we headed off with a number of caches as our targets.
We are slowly ticking off the caches in this series with a find and this one happened to be near one of the targets for today.
We made our way over the rock wall, into the clearing and was confronted with a major wall in front of us, good thing we didn't have to scale that all the way, as it was it was a bit of a scramble to GZ but it wasn't too bad.
Once in the right area a SPOR was spotted and the cache was found shortly after.
**Thanks to Nutcache for placing this cache and Cache Guardians for looking after it.**

Out for the usual day, early start, late finish, memorable adventures with SimsFamily and Neville Devil.
Helms deep in the movie was filmed in a very similar location as i'm sure the CO is aware while placing this cache here.
It's an intimidating wall above but we scaled the rampart to locate the cache.

It was such a lovely day today we decided to make our lunch and eat it by the river in Warburton. I quickly looked up a few caches to grab along the way, and this was one of them. tftc.
Lovely sunny arvo after a feed of Bushmans snags time for a little exploring, haven't been up this area for years decided to catch up with AndY and Sue , a scramble up the old quarry and we were at GZ left a Pathtag, cache was in good order

WOW is all i can say! If 88andy88 didnt tell me there was a cache here i would never have seen this amazing little area that is actually not quite so little. Amazing rock walls that Andy decided to climb and explore while i sat and watched him with the little Geomut not far from his heals as well....

What the heck even went on here? Yowsah. This looked a bit scary at first and I'd certainly be hesitant in rainy conditions but the climb and the unearthing of the cache were dealt with swiftly. By the time I got into the general vicinity the clue was probably more crucial than slavish attention to what the gadget was reporting. "I bet it's *that* one up there," etc. Thanks once again Nutcache--loving your work.
Well Cass, Tess and Luke waited in the car, while Will and I searched for this. Ok, we didn't find it, but we had fun looking! What a great spot. I took a stack of photos and enjoyed looking at all the fallen rocks and even spotted one in a tree! Thanks Nutcache for bringing us here - for me it's not so much about the cache but the place! (although the cache is important too... a reason to come back another time!). Hopefully next time I come back I will be a bit skinnier and more prepared for the rock hopping!
Despite GPS jumping about, learnt if something doesn't look right, look at it!! Great spot from up here but be careful as rocks are very slippery when went!
Believe it or not there are some recorded rock climbs on this crumbling pile of choss. I had a look at it when I was rewriting local crags for the Eastern Climbing Guide. Looking at it as a geocacher is quite different and it's a great location for one. Thanks!
A pretty cool place although it freaked my kids out with a few March fly bites and big spiders! Thanks
Took a bit of searching as the GPS was unsteady but we came up with a find. TFTC.
Out on a small adventure to warby caching and pizza hunting. Beeeeaaaaitiful evening tonight. TFTC. Beware, saw my first tiger snake for the year here tonight. Heard a rustle as if slithered off, guess I was to big to eat.
We had a go but didnt find it. Gps was willy nilly and a bit slippery today so we aborted. Tyftc
10th cache of the day. Considering this one was found over a year ago we thought our chances were slim but we did have a go and found it, with only one broken nail. TFTC
Found this ages ago with jaktembo before i had the app to log for myself. You could drive right past this and not even know its there. Was fun to yell from the top 'i bought a jeep' tftc
This was a great cache to find, because we(rawhide and me)climbed up the steepest mountain I've ever been on, great cache, awesome scenery.
What a surprising place just off the road, very aptly named. The find was straightforward after a bit of rock hopping. We would never have seen this place if not for this cache. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Found it! Out on a late afternoon cache run to pick up a few that the weather forced us away from last week. Parked the geotruck in the only safe place close by and made our way past the buzzing 2 stoke hornets (trailbikes) into the fortress. Many loose boulders tried to force us away but Geokid 4 made it to the top and we soon joined him at the cache. Found a nice fresh log book and left our mark...TFTC
I haven't been here for about 15 years. I used to come here with the SES for training, it used to be good fun. Today it was quiet and I was able to go scrambling all I wanted. Made my way up and up until I saw a likely spot and thankfully the cache. Thanks Nutcache
An awesome spot. Squeeze off the road into the one car only parking spot. Or, keep driving for 2km and walk back! Lucky there was room for option 1. I climbed over the low rocks next to the road and was blown away by the green floor that spread out below the rocks. Helm's Deep indeed. Awesome spot for picnics but more parking needed. But with more parking the place could get overrun so... leave it as it is! Cache hunting up the slopes was interesting as the GPS might say you're at GZ but doesn't account for the fact that's 5m up or down. Magical place, I could have hung out here for hours.
About my third attempt at this cache, it helps having a new phone with a more accurate GPS! As usual the climb down was harder than the climb up. Thanks Nutcache.
Being a kiwi this cache had instant appeal Quite a struggle for this old girl to get up there! Found a snake skin in amongst the rocks.....would rather have seen the fox .....A few bumps and stumbles but eventually found the cache. In the process I was obviously annoying the birds roosting in the rocks as they were screeching and soaring overhead. TFTC and for showing me this amazing place.
Geoboyfriend and I stopped for this quick cache on the way home, another great view. TFTC!
Boy talk about mountain goat country, the clamber to the gz wasn't too bad but after finding and signing the log, the way back was certainly a slower journey making sure of a good footing as I went down. Tftc Nutcache, managed a few of your finds out this way today.
Well that certainly put me a little outside of my comfort zone but I was going to get this smiley regardless.
Scrambled up along the left ridge until I was in the general area. After searching for ten minutes in the fading daylight, I resorted to the hint and the cache was soon sighted.
Sat and signed the log, left a Lyon eraser and took the broken glass from nearby.
A controlled slide almost straight down seemed to be the best way back to +wife.
Thanks for the adventure, exercise and mostly, for the cache Nutcache.

It really is up there?! It's quiet coincidental as I was reading the description about the fox I could vaguely hear geohusband talking about seeing a fox I just assumed he was reading the description then it came clear he had just seen the fox in the rocks too. Kind of cool to see the CO's fox. We could smell her too! Pewee! Geo Mum's from the Jarvis clan and Thommo clan made the climb and the find Geohusbands and Geochildren were just about over the day out! A nice view, although Im not keen on heights either. I made it the rocky climb we did over at Little Moiria prepared me for this easy one!
We enjoyed looking through the cache left a peg and a plastic animal cover it all up and on our way. TFTC

I'm sorry I am so late in logging this... it must have been two months ago that we visited the spot. I climbed up this fascinating hill of rocks with two little 6 year olds in tow. It was great fun at first, but then one of them fell over and slid down some rocks, and from then on, they lost their confidence. I personally loved the view and could have kept looking for ages, but we had to turn back and return to the car.
Thanks for bringing us to this great place, we'll have to return when they are a bit older and see if we have better luck next time.
