No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
It would be a shame to see this one lost as it was placed in 2004 and caches can no longer be placed within the national parks. The owner, Pooey, hasn't visited since 4/10/04.
I remember how hard it was to find when I last visited and replaced it. Unfortunately even though I am reasonably close I can't say when I'd get there to fix the problem.
What's the longest that it can stay offline before we lose it?

Had good look about here. No sign of the posts or cache. We found the obvious hiding spot at the coordinates listed by Konie, and dug a big hole but no joy. There has been a lot of water through here at some point.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
No one round nice quick find. It's good to see it's been given life again.

Found at 1135hrs with holster and thehairbear. As the contents and log book of this cache have been wet and damaged for a long time it was time for a bit of maintenance. I replaced the old contents and put in a new log book. The log book is in its own plastic bag which is then inside another plastic bag in the original container. Hopefully this will keep it a bit drier.
As mentioned in previous logs there is only one post just north of GZ. You can still count out the paces as per the clue and once you've gone south you'll be near the cache. The owner of this cache has not visited the site since Oct 2004. I had the following co-ords which will put you near the cache, just in case the other post goes. Try S 26 06.460 E 153 06.701

In addition to the previous maintenance note regarding a wet log, the walking track posts mentioned in the hint that are supposed to be used as the basis for pacing to the cache weren't there any more. At least we didn't see them and we found the cache before we found the posts.
Found with kholometers while camping at Teewah beach. The cache was about 22m from GZ and should probably be marked as a multi cache if the coordinates listed are not GZ. The hint mentions using the start of the path as a reference point but the path poles are no longer there.
Log book was still wet.
Log book was still wet.
Hi. The plastic bottle is very wet and the log book is on its last legs. Unable to make a log entry as everything is very wet. Needs a new water tight bottle as thic one leaks a fair bit. Great GZ but. thanks.
The 2nd for the day; however, did not make a log enrty as it was very wet in the bottle. Great GZ though.
Found on a weekend up the beach, log is WET and cache is in a pretty poor state, swaps should be in the bin as I dont think anyone will want the dirty, brown toothbrush thats in there... TNLN SL

Found easily after concouring the Kings Boar track.WHOO what a drive I was glad I could return to Rainbow along the beach though.TFTC.
Did not bring a shovel for this one, and did not manage to follow the hint... Seemed to find 'the' tree at the location, but no sign of digging, and the posts mentioned in the hint were not there either... Not sure what I did wrong! Also misplaced the GPS so I got no Noosa caches or others in the area on my short visit... Ah well, lovely spot in any case!
Found by Warren & Angie - first one we have done in ages!
Hint to would be visitors - take the instructions Our first attempt during the day did not go well as the given gps points only take you to a place you can see the starting point from.
Took nothing, left nothing - thanks for the cache! Great place to go for a visit.

Dropped in with Bindy & Homer on the way home from the Geo-event....no-one camped here so an easy find for them. I dropped off some TB's
Second attempt at this one and I must say it was a lot easier without people camped all over the place. After a little bit of searching and a long time spent decoding the hint, we finally got it. TFTC
Rogainer & miss rogainer were here at about 10:20am while on route to qld cachers camp at freshwater.
Coords didn't take me to a likely looking cache spot, so had to use the clues - a couple of posts are missing, but still easy enough to work out.

aaaargh!,I left the Pirate showing Papa Nanks how to catch fish, & as the Pirate is such an expert at catching fish i really didn't want to be left gutting fish all evening,so instead i went out with Mrs Nanks, Powelbruce & a few others to find the "Rainbow Warrior" (which i thought was a Greenpeace Ship) but no it was booty! anyway after a short hunt mama Nanks came up with the goods.
Thanks for the cache.

Visited the cache on our way to the QLD Geocachers 4WD New Year Beach Bash. Nice spot to pitch your tent. TFTC
Quite a few of us headed down the beach to find this cache today. Along with 3 of THENANKS (Mr NANKS was fishing - sucessfully too!!!!) there was powellbruce, a couple of OMY130 team, Liz and Bruce, and the Galley Wench from Pirate63. [^]
It was an easy find in a beautiful location. THENANKS have previously enjoyed exploring the Red Canyon.
We took the "Nut" TB to further its travels.

Having driven past it oh so many times before, I stopped our whole troop to find this particular cache. Had to navigate around the neighbours who set their tent just metres away from 1st clue.

Found this cache not far from camp. In good condition. Left Alien (Roswell) TB.
This was our first find since driving 3,900kms to meet up with Liz and Bruce.
Although some posts were missing, it was an easy find after a nice drive along the beach. Would love to camp along here.
TNLNSL, thanks pooey!

Quick drive up the beach. Followed the clues to the cache. Good to be caching with Geotrecaz again. Baby Boomers were having a great day out in this unfamiliar and interesting part of Australia. Thanks pooey! Took toy and left flower pot magnet.
Nice find and nice area. lots of colourfull sand after a hard walk up a steep sand hill close to this cache.

Our first for the day. Weather was looking really nasty further up the beach. Had us looking at first as some of the posts are not there anymore. Once we figured that out the directions were spot on.

We were going for a drive up to DI and thought that this would be a fairly easy one. Perhaps we had the coordinates wrong but we had two independent GPS pointing to the same spot, which happened to be right near/behind some tents (Easter weekend and there were people camped anywhere and everywhere). Maybe we should try again on a quieter day as we didn't think they'd like us wandering through their campsite. Took the time to explore Red Canyon instead.
Camping overnight a few kms north. A spur of the moment decision to find this one at about 9:30pm while sitting around the camp fire. Didn't have any of the clues with us, only the waypoint, so we were lucky to find as quickly as we did.
We had some friends visiting from Melbourne for the weekend, so we thought we'd take them for a drive up to Rainbow Beach, no need for 4WD though, we took up a couple of VW's.... Found it fairly easily, great spot. When I get the pics developed I'll post up a nice pic of the cars at the beach.

We tried for three days to get near this one, but alas, just too many campers around, and they never left their camps. We'll be back though and try again, as we still have a number of others to visit in this area.
Found at 5:18pm together with some members of the Moreton Districts Off Road club. Left candle that we took from the previous cache and took necklace for one of the teenage boys of the group. The Suzi and IO had fun driving in the soft sand while the Patrol and Troopy watched on with glee!
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Found this one fairly easily, although had to be careful of an inquisitive muggle... Great location, good fun finding.
Stopped off and grabbed this one on our way up the beach to the 4WD Bush Bash, the hint is essential!!
We looked & looked but had to be conservative as a camper was nearby. Time was short as we were on our way to the 4x4 Bush Bash and didn't have time to decryp the encrypted clue which I assume would give us a better indication. Thanks anyway pooey.
Grabbed this one on the way up the beach for the 4WD Bash.
Another cache that's a bit dodgy and I don't know how long it's going to last.
Not sure I'm that keen on scrounging around the ground in areas where the toilet ditches of thousands of campers may be located but I suppose a good cacher carries on undeterred. Excuse the pun but the cache owner's name IS Pooey!![xx(]

Just getting back to a computer on Dec 31.We found this one on our second day of our Aussie vacation.... rented a lil 4wd camper (thankfully it was 4wd.) Totally loved this stretch of beach. First find for us in Australia. Thanks
sid returning from a week on fraser island had a quick stop on the way to noosa. found the co-ords out a bit and only one set of poles but cache easily found at pandanus saw it from 20 metres. re hid under some fronds at base.TNLN.
We were camping no more than 5 mins from this one, so it was great activity for the kids. Left toy took cable ties.
Second time lucky. Took us a while but we found it in the end. Actually, Xixau of Xixau & Shenzi found it but we were there too so we claimed it as well.
Logged the cache and then set off on a 4WD trip up the beach & through the bush.
TNLN. Thanks for the cache.
