Apparently the track is closed as the bridge near the cache washed away!
Has been replaced but is waiting for engineering approval.
Thanks to sup8pdct for the info.

The kings bore Track is Closed due to bridge work over Frankis Gulch which was washed away some 12 months ago.
After chatting with the ranger, The bridge has apperantly been rebuilt and a road has been fixed going to the bridge but it is waiting for an engineer to approve the works.
Would say that it is very likely that the cache has been removed/washed away.
Will pm owner.

At first I thought t5here wasn't any water in the creek It's amazingly clear.Found without to much trouble.I'm glad I have enough time from here to return up the beach. The track was pretty hard driving today. Thanks for bringing us to another top spot. TFTC.
Dropped back to this cache on a weekend trip. Unloaded the lucky geocoin "Cache Man SG" which survived our cache on Fraser Island that was destroyed by bush fire. Thought it fitting to place back in a sandy cache.
It took 15 months for us to get back here and we very nearly threw in the towel once again! We were beginning to think that the only way to find this would be to attend a "bush bash" in the company of the cache owners!!!
But at last it was discovered - in an eminently sensible hiding place. Our GPSr really lead us astray last time we were here.
As it was our second visit to this beautiful spot, we allowed the kids two swaps. Out: Glowstick and stationery set; In: compass and ball of string.
Thanks for bringing us here (again) 4Bears, I know we will be back to the gulch again as soon as we can!
This is a magic spot with crystal clear water and a cache to find as well.[^] Interesting drive to get there, testing the fortitude of some of the drivers and vehicles in the convoy.
Can finaly cross this one off. The area is always worth the visit. We loved the trip in convoy and the way back to the beach which was new to us.

aaaargh!,did look a great spot to gulch!,will be comin' 'ere again!,found with ye' rest of 4wd geo's,thanks bears.
This is a great spot that I'm glad I visited, with thanks to the Four Bears for taking me here during the 4WD Beach Bash. TFTC
Found after thinking the water had something floating on top to discover that it was the bottom of stream.top place.tnln.(on 4wd w/end).
Was a bit of a drive to get to but was rewarded at the end with a crystal clear sandy bottomed creek. And with the light is starting to fade we headed back to the beach and our campsight for a cold drink or two and something to eat. TNLN. Thanks The Four Bears for the adventure .
After a long 4wd expedition we arrived at one of the nicest spots I've visited. The water is crystal clear. Visited the cache with some friends who had tried to find this previously. Today we had a sucessful find. A big thanks to all involed in the transporting of Griffo around. tnln tftc
This is a top spot! The water is so clear that at first I thought there was no water at all! It was a nice way to cool off the feet.
The drive from the previous cache was great fun too!
We signed the log and headed off for more 4WD fun!
Thanks Four Bears for the cache.

Found with fellow cache hunters on new years bash geo event, arrived first as the lead car and still could not manage to be the first in the group to find it. Perhaps next geo event will be more successful!!

A second confirmation it's still alive. Up there on the weekend and thought the drive would be good. We'll have to catch up again soon.
Dropped into this one and managed to unearth it. Have sent the owner an email with more details.
Always a nice spot to visit especially at the moment with the wild flowers out.

Thanks Bruce for confirming that it's still there. This one is now officially re-enabled.

Lots of recent DNFs on this one so will disable until we can get back up there to check it.
This was our second attempt to find our way into this one. Last time ended up on the wrong track and had to leave as we ran out of daylight.
Today after one wrong track finally found the right track and found Frankis Gulch. Pity we didn't find the cache. Looked all around and under and dug and probed but nothing. Must be well hidden.
Still a beautiful area and stream. Will go back when we know it is there to be found.

This was our 2nd go at finding this one. Still eludes us.
Our gps says GZ is right on west edge of bridge near northern bank of creek above running water. dug sand, probed sand, looked under and in logs of the bridge. No luck
will be back to look again but maybe a clue for us next time we go. Still a good drive tho.

Oh Dear.
We went to all this touble to borrow a car, take a deep breath and actually hit some real 4WD tracks, get to the cache site - which is absolutely beautiful- but we couldn't find the cache.
Can we make a teensy suggestion that some hints are provided? What we are looking for?
The ground is covered with an even carpet of she-oak needles, and the tree cover makes the satellite reception v. poor.
I can't see us getting back here in the near future unfortunately. Hope the cache is still there for the finding.

We may not have found this one, but had a great day anyway. My GPS kept jumping all over the place, and sending us to different places.....Is that because of trees or cloud cover? Lovely refreshing spot. Sat and watched some 'Varigated Fairy Wrens' flying about.
Our first one to find for the weekend but we couln't find it. GPS keep jumping around especially under tree covers. Looked everywhere for about an hour then gave up. The next day we sent a couple of Moreton Districts Off Road Club members off to see if they could find it, but to no avail. Still had a great time driving through the track towing the trailer with the Patrol. First putting in high, then in low and then finally letting down the tyres. The track was pretty chewed up and the sand was very soft and deep because of lack of rain. Anyway great drive but maybe someone will find it eventually.
Don't know where Auzy was looking but the cache is right where it always has been and in great condition. Never a wasted journey in this beautiful area though.
The powers that be have restricted access to some of the tracks around here that we used to play on but the main track to the cache is still open.

Have to get up there and replace it. Was looking for a good excuse to get up there again .
Thanks Auzy for the info.

AS we had missed the QLD 4WD BB party, we had made a program of our own. So, Frankis Gulch was next on our list. But guess who we met along the way??? Right! So, we joined the convoy, had some interesting sandy tracks to negotiate, and finally got to this beautiful little stream in the middle of "nowhere". Don't miss this one, if you are driving around Cooloola with a decent 4WD!

We found this today along with the crew who attended the 4WD Bush Bash - the cool clear water was a brilliant pit stop for the dusty convoy
There is nothing like "pressure caching," that is seeking the cache while a crew of previous finders look on, in the end the other half of llourd and OMY laid hands on it, well done all.

It's always harder to find something when the pressure is on (Crowds shouldn't be allowed!!) The location made up for it though. TNLN.

We were able to come up to the 4WD Bash with the advance team so got to a couple of caches before the main group. Didn't mean we got any hints though!
The birds were kind to us and this one was located in very quick time. Basically the first place I looked.
Great spot bears. So good, we may even come back tomorrow...

What a great spot. The day was a bit windy and a few showers but the drive was great. Bec's first find.
Found this after a lovely bit of off-roading. Great location, well worth the visit.
