Since the owner of the cache hasn't contacted me, I'm reluctantly archiving this cache. If the owner wants to reinstate this cache, they should contact the reviewer that first published the cache.
I have temporarily disabled this cache until I have time to make a new one and place it in a location nearby. Since the original has been burnt by bushfire
The cache can no longer be called Grassy, there is no grass. Bushfire seems to have travelled along the creek and school boundary, pretty much obliterating grass, shrubs and trees. Found spot where cache would have been, but all that seems to have been left after the fire is some sinkers and a pen knife. Owner may wish to check and disable if this is indeed the cache spot
Another little detour on the way home from work TNLN.
Cache had alot of water in it but log book is dry.

Nice long walk on the concrete path then into the maze of grass as tall as me! I almost lost my little dog a few times! It had to jump highly to see where I was..rather funny sight!
Beware: a spider has made his own home in the cache!
Swap the highlighters and stamps for shoe pocket and pack of cards.

Found the cache at 6pm. Wow! make it yep!! TNLNSL. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
DNF today. I tried to get access from the sport fields and then from the path near the creek but was getting covered with ticks that were on the long grass. Gave in in the end. Will be back when it is dry.
Found easily with relatives who live locally and new to geocaching. Also unfortunately several of us later found small ticks on us from this grassy cache.
Took square toy, left toucan keyring/light.

Geo Dad flying solo today. The heavens decided the grass needed watering during my visit.

Wow! The creek is SO full at the moment. The nearby bike track is well under in some parts. It was really interesting to see the area like this. We found it pretty easily and didn't even lose any GeoKids in the long grass! We made some swaps and signed the log. TFTC
Took the long way to do the shopping after dropping the kids off at school today. Sure is true to it's name this one. Left highlighters took travel bug.
Wow thanks heaps - after not finding one - then a hit - then another miss - this was our last one for the day and the children were desparate for another find. A very pleasant walk and then such clear instructions. Into the grass we went and there it was!! Such a lovely lot of treasures to choose from. The MadMyers small females chose a recorder pen and a torch - we left a pocket knife and a bottle opener. Thanks heaps for this one.
My goodness; we wish we had a party of mahout's and a herd of elephants to do this cache. GRASSY - the cache is aptly named. Prayed the GPS batteries did not fail in here. Needed a machete or a bloody big tractor would be better. Left Island Fever TB here in the hope Deco may wish to take him SCUBA diving. However, I notice he's already been here and we're not sure he would want to do this safari again. TNLNSL
Mr S'Downer was a real hero and let me stand on the path while he braved grass up to his neck to find the cache! Found is easily and logged. T.lepracorn L.shampoo
Creek was well up after recent rains. Path under bridge under water and some wet spots along track. Certainly grassy, well above my head. Stirred something in the grass but it scurried off. Saw owl on way out (daytime)! left Leprechaun friend. TFTC.
NB No garbag left but cash in good shape, nice and dry.

Found after a little bush bash.Hmm should haven't been so keen to find it and walked a little more.TNLN.
found after re reading the parking co ords plus the recent rain had caused a bit of a flush in the creek.
the cache was found after a nice stroll along the creek.

Found this one very easily (though nearly lost my GPS in the grass as we were about to leave!) right as night was falling. We took a Wheel Yo Yo and a fridge magnet. Left a toy periscope, a parachuting man and a voice recorder pen.
Saw plenty of cane toads and a little tree snake on the way back.
BTW - the garbage bag is practically non-existent, otherwise the cache is in good condition.

A nice stroll in the evening. Found at 1800. This could be the start of something. The kids pestered me to take them on a treasure hunt again so it definately won't be the last time I do this.

Needs a new Bag. Just thought I would throw that in up front.
Did the best I could to protect it with what little bag remains and some Grassy stuff, but it will need a new bag!
Found it at 10pm after being at a friends house down by the bay.
Took: Glow stick
Left: Marker Pens

Found this one quite easliy.. Which cheered me up after the DNF at "Under-Neath"....I meant to take a new plastic bag to this one after reading a previous log about that..... But plain forgot about it until I found the cache. Oh Well maybe the next cacher will be able to do that....TNLNSL..
Attempted approx 1130 but didn't find. Grass quite long and didn't want to attempt walking through on a day like today... Oh well, another one on the list for when we next come up North!.
What an amazing little spot. Found at 1440. The 6th cache for the day in the company of nephew. Took robot (which was awesome!!!), left notebook and glowstick.
Found with DAD78.
Cache is still in good condition after 4 months of not being found, though a new plastic garbage bag is needed ASAP.
Grass not too long at the moment.

Left a yoyo and took a phone holder. What a aretty spot this is. We were not too sure about the long grass, but, hey, there was a cache to find so we only looked for that and not long slithery things!
Thanks!
Thanks!
I didn't like going through all that grass... I was sure I was going to get bitten by something and was just trying to think through the process one should follow when getting bitten by a poisonous animal 40m from the nearest patch of dirt that isn't surrounded by 2m tall grass... I mean, should I run out or would that cause the poison to flow through my blood. If I sat down I'm sure I'd get bitten again...
Anyway.. gritted my teeth and got through it ok. TNLN.

Grassy is a good name for this one. I'm sure there was a herd of widerbeest nearby, but couldn't see them. I did see a fox though. Cache is nice and dry. Took car and nasty sharp razor blade scraper [:0] and left alien and chalk sticks.
On the way home from JACS's wedding we decieded to sneak this one in., if anyone had seen us it may have looked a bit sus as we wern't really dressed for caching.Wasn't to hard to find using the clue, the hardest part was finding somewhere to park.Took blue bulb (which we broke on way out), left torch.TFTH
Did our normal pre cache outing preparation. Thinks like, decide on an area, put the caches in an order of attack, print of the cache sheets etc. Unfortunately with this one, we forgot to read the instructions which include where to park.
Turned out we parked in the right spot the fist time, but ended up doing the cache from another direction. Not to worry, we got there in the end.
The cache itself is in good order. We just signed the log this time as the two or our kids we had a long today had already traded at earlier visits.
Thanks very much for placing this cache.

Walked to within 40m of cache before entering long grass. I didn't see any wiggly things but I did find a paper wasp nest-ouch! Followed a animal run/track right past the cache. Thanks fury things for making the grass less daunting. The black plastic bag is starting to deteriorate but the cache is dry. Took 1 dinosaur and left mobile phone cover.
Thanks for a 'local' cache Amano and Wazza

A nice morning for a stroll along the creek.
Cache found fairly quickly at about 8:45am.
Don't know what all the fuss is about a bit of grass
I guess 20 something years of Orienteering & Rogaining has conditioned me somewhat!

Thanks for the cache

Final search for the day. 7th Find with no DNF . A pleasing days caching. The grass is really long and the lantana scratches. Found GZ and began searching, then decided to read the hint and found I was standing less than a metre from the cache.

I didn’t actually read the bit about the snakes until I had crossed the river (I think I parked my car in the wrong place )
I just grabbed a huge "wackin" stick and hit the grass in front of me to flush any snakes...thinking about it now makes me think it wasn’t such a good idea ... regardless of that I found the cache and didn’t have a run in with a snake!!
Took something (sorry, I honestly cant remember) and left turtle magnet.
Took a pic but unfortunately I destroyed my $400 digital camera on my last cache.......[:(!][:(!][:(!]

Walk in 5 meters, walk back out again. Walk in 10 meters, walk back out again!! Build up some more courage and blaze a zig zag trail as quick as possible through the 6 foot high grass. I agree that this is the scariest cache I have done. I'm glad I only have to go in once. Startled a wallaby in the grass and frightened a frilly neck lizard. Thank god I saw no snakes. I recommend long pants, preferably jeans when doing this one.

a scary cache site, i dont believe humans made all the tracks we saw around this area, and we cirlced it a few times before making our final approach.
either way, we were thinking ouch, yuk all the way in and when i saw what looked to be blood on the log page made before me (Manta) i felt less like a wimp.
hope you were carrying a band-aid.

And yes...Team Manta WAS away for the school holidays otherwise we would have walked literally down the road to it some time ago! Happy to be Finder Number 3.
Good cache for your first one guys but I'd be very concerned about the fire risk here over summer. Even this afternoon there was a large blaze just a few hundred metres away to the south.
I had a cache pilfered in this area a couple of years ago so hunters should try not to blaze too obvious a trail to the hotspot. Local kids love the area and get very curious when new tracks appear...
Thanks for the cache and I hope to meet you at the Spring Picnic.
