I made a quick detour down to this cache while making my way around this area collecting caches in the Woodlands series. The walk to WP1 was very pleasant and I thought the view over the airport was pretty good. I managed to solve the coordinates for the final reasonably quickly and soon began making my way towards it. I had no trouble finding the final as I have found a few of these caches in the past, and the hint was also very helpful. I signed my name in the logbook then placed the cache back and resumed my journey around the Woodlands series. Thanks for placing this cache here, it was very interesting to read about the history of the building that once stood here and to see what remains of it. As someone with an interest in planes, aviation and nature, I reckon I would really have enjoyed living in that house if it was still standing today.TFTC
Quick find while working on the Woodlands 100 series. This place seems so remote and desolate if you ignore the airport and freeway only a few km away. TFTC
Once I copied the coordinates correctly it led to the find Thanks for bringing me to this fascinating old ruinTFTC
TFTC.....loved the history lesson, such a shame to see the homestead reduced to crumbling ruins though. Frilk and I did try and work out what we thought some of the other ruins were as well. The bluestone feels so quintessentially old Victorian.Found the cache, signed the log and on we tramped....around 13 kms (maybe a little more) walked by this stage and my feet were feeling it.
I had started this series about 8 years ago and was left with 10 yet to find. Today and_me and I carried on where she left off 2 weeks ago, and this allowed me to finish off the series.A slight detour from the Woodlands series. Such a shame that this piece of history couldn't be preserved. We collected the info and made the find. TFTC.
It appears that this area is off limits at the moment unfortunately, unless there's another way in.
so my airport take off was a little thwarted to I went to Woodlands to walk off some steam. Thanks to muzza for placing this cache in one of my favourite geocaching spots yet, and thanks to the UGCT for maintaining. A fab walk and just what I needed.
Watch out for rabbit holes- slight detour to get to this multi it's a shame they demolished this house leaving the remains.
Doing maths in the wind today wasnt easy but I eventually had some CO as was able to find the cache.

Find No. 3935. Found with FUF009.
A day trip down to do the Woodland series of caches.
Took our bicycles and FUF009 came with us.
Arrived at the gate, unloaded our bikes, had a cuppa and off we went getting our first cache at 8.55am.
We worked our way through the series stopping several times to watch the coming and going of the jets at Tullamarine.
After a long warm day with several challenges, we arrived back at the car park for a rest and well earned cuppa.
We put the clues together, punched in the co-ords and went and claimed the final cache of the series.
This was a cache we found that was in amongst the Woodlands Series of caches.

Well this has been a long time coming, to do the Woodlands caches. Many a plan has fallen through due to health and pandemic and work issues. But finally all was on our side for a cracker geocaching day to end 2022.
With bikes loaded up we were off, left St.Arnaud just before 6am and had the first cache signed at 8.55am. Then it was just one by one, following the GPSr.
From flowing trails to bush bashing (with and without tall grass) and even a bit of water, we had a lot. All the while the sounds of planes going overhead, birds around and the odd 100 roos thumping the ground when we disturbed them.
We managed to make good time and accomplish all we set out to do. Despite the heat and a couple of hills I had to walk up.
We believe luck was on our side with the back paddock being opened, after seeing so many had commented on it being shut.
All in All, personally, it was great to finally get this series done with a couple others thrown in that are in the park.
Oh and by the way, we got back home just after 9.30pm. A big days outing.

Forgot to grab this cache whilst doing the Woodlands park yesterday. Forgot about the big fence surrounding it so had to walk a little further than I had initially planned. Would have been a great spot to live in the past sad to see it in this state now. Worked out the co-ordinates and found the cache quickly, hadn’t been found for 4 months which was surprising. All in good order. TFTC
Ever since I first heard of the Cumberland ruins, I've wanted to see them.
What's left of the old house is actually quite disappointing.
Find the cache was easy.
Thanks for the cache.

I was doing the remaining cached that I had not yet found in the Woodlands series, when I saw this multi about some ruins. I love ruins and I also enjoy multis, so off I went to see what it was all about. At GZ the cache was found quickly and easily. This must have been a beautiful house once.
This is the message on the Parks Victoria website concerning this area of the park: "The Eastern Barred Bandicoot Sanctuary is closed to the public due to pest animal control activities from Friday 23rd July to Friday 6th August 2021"
What a beautiful day melbourne for the start of our opening up. I have had this trail on my list for a year now and while looking for a geo trail to get out and walk I spotted some new maintenance and partial opening of this one. Great day for a wander.
Took a side journey to find this one. The road is a little overgrown in spots but nothing too bad. A quick multi at GZ and log is in good shape after being lonely for a while. A not so friendly bee decided to sting me on the leg on my return journey. Now to make back to the car quickly - I didn’t realize how late it was.
Thanks UltimateGeoCacheTeam for the hide.

Out riding with a friend today, thought while he was fossicking around the fence line of the ruins, I’d do the cache that I knew was here.
Pretty quick to get the coords which were bang on. Quick find to the roar of the planes.
I drive the road alongside the airport at least 3 times a week, have done for years, and last night, before doing this cache was the first time I had ever noticed these ruins behind the quarry... must have had my blinkers on all these years!

Got a call from BackPAQer asking if I wanted to head out and do some caching, let's finish the woodlands series he says... what an awesome idea, we started the series just over a year ago and completed sixty nine in woodlands out of the one hundred and ten total caches in the park.
So BackPAQer rocks up at 8am and we load the bikes and head out for the day. Weather is perfect at twenty Celsius and overcast with the sunny shining through every so often and such a light breeze. I had not taken the bike out until the previous time we attempted this series.
Well it was a highly successful day as we managed to complete the woodlands one hundred series even find the previous did not find cache. We worked out the multi in woodlands as well and solved the mystery. A hundred percent success rate for today.
Also left a travel bug in number one hundred the mystery.
Sorry this log is generic for all finds.

As we found this cache we realised with a touch of panic that we had less then an hour to retrieve our car before gates close... note to self to park outside the gate when we return to find the caches we missed today. Walking as fast as I could in my non hiking shoes... hikers were in the car but silly me forgot to switch shoes. Feet blistered, pushing through lactic burn to avoid nye in the park. Got back with minutes to spare...
16 October 2019 12:02 pm Woohoo...my first multicache!!! And what a beautiful home this would have been
A few months ago SSRAT AND GOOSE paddled over from the island of all things AMAZING ️
(In case your a little slow it’s TASSIE)
This trip was to finish what we failed at a year earlier which was to ‘Smash woodlands’ in one day
Anywho, so around we went and nailed the rest of the series on this trip whilst keeping Richard away from any bikes that could ruin the chance of finishing our TASK
Sorry for generic logs but we did have and amazing time in this area and a ton of laughs were had.
Tftc’S !
*multi was a nice change in amongst here

Well it's a return tip to the big island for myself and goose of gooseandegg, many many moons ago along with 1Toolman we tried to do all of the woodlands series in one day, we had planned it well or so we had thought but a puncture on one of the bike stopped us dead in our tracks and the plan of doing it all in one day was dead
Today 749 days later we traveled up from Hobart to finish the Woodland series with the 1Toolman as our driver/guide, the weather was looking like it was going to rain all day but we got away with a couple of light showers for a few minutes with the big clouds staying away unlike last time where we were finding caches in a thunderstorm.
We started on the Eastern side and worked our way round enjoying our caching and taking our time unlike last time, we found easy hides, nasty ones and a few throwdowns, pulling in a few outside the series and after 7 hours we had at long last the woodlands was found.
Along with the woodlands we collected a few other caches before heading home, the weekend was a great laugh with good mates with us laughing for a couple of days at one thing or another.
Thanks for the caches.

A little over two years ago we made a bold statement about flying over to Melbourne and knocking off the Woodlands series in a day. Well that went out the window due to a flat tyre but that is all laughable history now. Returning today to finish it off on foot, I really enjoyed the walk seeing so much more this time rather than zipping past everything on a bike (or pushing it for a while). Stainless steel rat, 1toolman and I braved the dismal weather forecast and ended up being pretty lucky with only a short shower during the middle of the day trying to put a dampener on things. Yeah we got a little moist but soldiered on regardless and soon dried out in the gusty breeze. The history, the views, the wildlife, the company and the laughs all made this adventure thoroughly enjoyable.
We found the ruins and information here interesting. We were almost wishing there was still some kind of roof here as the sky was getting very dark but luckily it blew over. We collected the required information, calculated GZ and soon found the cache.
Thanks UltimateGeoCacheTeam (and Muzza)

After having popped over to Tullamarine to collect some belongings from my Subaru I couldn't resist heading over here to find the very last cache in Woodlands that had until this point not been found by yours truly. After a decent walk I arrived at the posted coords, admired a couple of trees in close proximity and calculated GZ.
The cache was indeed where the coords said it would be. Now back to the car and over to pick up a single handbag puzzle for today.

After five months a lot of natural camo made this a tricky find! But it was exactly where it should be
Out on this beautiful autumn day with Jascat picking up caches in this park. This cache was well worth the diversion. Couldn’t help wondering how the early settlers would of felt that their house now faced a very busy airport. Thank you for bringing us here and TFTC. Found exactly where it should have been found. I have found some of the Woodland 100 (a series of mostly traditional
caches around the Woodlands Historic Park) at different times. Some have
previously been logged, and the rest are going to be logged now together
in a generic log.
What an amazing area here to walk around near the airport, with its mix
of wildlife, natural bushland and historic places. It covers a
reasonably large area but most of the hides are fairly easy to locate,
thanks to the low difficulty and terrain ratings. Thanks to Team
Woodlands (and others nearby) for placing all of these caches. TFTH
Some great history here associated with this old homestead.

found this cashe while on holiday from scotland and having a wee afternoon geocachin with my Australian grandkids . It was fab `it was Abbey`s first time and she had so much fun with her brother connor helping her.
That's quite a bit of uncertainty around the dates, isn't it? I do like a ruin so thought I'd take a look. It was indeed quite comprehensively ruined. The bunnies don't seem to mind though. The longest step for me was actually finding the gate! Those bandicoots are locked away good and proper. Thanks for the informative stroll Muzza and UltimateGeoCacheTeam!
Cumberland Walk V.2 was transferred from Muzza to user UltimateGeoCacheTeam
Looked high and low, under and in, and around the general area no sight of this cache. The area has a lot of weed growing and many bunny hole..... maybe it has been bunnied?
I thought I'd already disabled this one. Sounds like it's gone.
I'll try to get out there to check. Otherwise, it might be time to archive it.

We solved it, and then had a very good look around, but didn't come up with anything today. A very nice spot though and an interesting read! Thanks Muzza!
Geozone covered in weeds. Could not find cache even after pulling a lot of it away. Sad face.
Found as part of a big day on bikes in Woodlands.
Really felt the extra ride to get this one! Maths was easy however cache took quiet some time to find, especially getting bitten by ants! Thanks for highlighting the ruins - another classic cache Muzza.

Found with Jacko83 and buhfuhguh (JAB) whilst out and about on our journey around Woodlands today. Some intersting history but the journey was hard going due to the heat. TFTC
Well what can I say but I along with Jacko83 and mel_adz today went and completed the the Woodlands 100 caches and any other caches that we could manage to get our hands on along the way. Not going to lie it was a great idea in theory but geez did I regret it a little, do not get me wrong it was an amazing day but just a little bit hard. My day started off at 3:30 getting ready to leave and drive to Frankston (Brekkie stop at maccas of course) to then park at Frankston Train Stain. Then the next leg of my journey was to catch public transport to Altona to meet up with Jacko83. Upon arriving at the park we met up with our fellow cacher who would accompany us on the journey mel_adz, to with we discussed what caches they had already done and for me to do all the caches they had already done and to then catch up to them. I did this fairly well with my music plugged in and playing I was off to start blitzing this trail. My first problem of the day was cache number 6....... it was nowhere to be found; I looked where I was told but nothing was there, after letting it be I moved on to which I stumbled upon the grass section of the journey. At this stage (not going to lie I got a bit lost). After finding my way back I bumped back into my caching companions for the day to discover that they had found the missing cache hidden with another member of the series. After saying that they picked it up just incase another one was missing the could place it there we continued to move on. With the weather being overcast we continued to smash them out without breaking a sweat. After encountering many vertebrate and invertebrate friends at cache 30 we decided to take a break and have a little snack, to where we then moved in to the back paddock. This area was and easy ride and we continue to power throught the caches.
**Then it happened at 12 o'clock** our good friend mr sun decided to show up and deliver us his burning warmth, this slowed us down a bit with each cache draining more and more energy for us to reach. With my water running low I knew I was going to have a fun next 50 finds. With the burning hot sun and lack of water I was starting to get a little irritable (sorry Greg and Adam) and the sass-o-meter was starting to go off the charts. But as we reached in the 90's I was saved......... it was as if the universe had bestowed upon my a gift to which i would cherish for life................. We rid our bikes past the rangers office (i figured they had some tap water). After sculling about 600-700ml I was full of energy and ready to smash out the last few caches.
After doing the last handful I realised that all the Woodlands caches we had found to that point were all there so the only one I was missing was number 6. I rode as fast as the wind to return the container to where it belongs and with that I had finished this beautiful series.
The journey through this park was amazing and I loved every second of it, I can honestly say I'm power trailed out for a little bit but I will aim to do another one soon.
Anyways that is it from me, Thank you so much for the chance to travel every nook and cranny of this reserve.

Found with Yoshi Warriors while grabbing a few caches around Woodlands, we soon had the co-ord's sorted and after a short stroll we had the cache in hand, thanks Muzza for highlighting this piece of local history. Certainly a lot would of changed since they first settled here, the noisy neighbours coming and going for starters would drive some nuts. Nice to see some remnants of the old garden survived over time though.
Out with Happy Pants finishing off the Woodlands series. We were glad we tackled this one while on this side of the fence. I wonder what life was like here when the house was built. Melbourne would have been so far away and no airport either. We soon had the coordinates sorted and the cache was found in good condition. Thanks for showing me this location Muzza.
After a very busy first semester at uni, I was ready to enjoy my break with some big caching trips, after getting my Ps not too long ago. Today I was on a mission to get clues for the two Melbourne-Canberra multis due to an upcoming trip to Canberra I would be making in a few weeks time. To do this, I made my way to the northern suburbs. After picking up the necessary info in Epping, I made my way to Woodlands where I *nearly* cleared out the park on my second run through. Only one more visit will be required now! I then finished off the day finding some caches that have been on my to-do list for too long now. This was the 20th find of 25 for today.
Even though this was a bit out of the way, I was close enough to it and wanted to get the smiley on the map, so made my way down to complete it anyway. A nice and quick find after collecting the necessary info. A fascinating spot, I'm glad I was brought here by this cache.
Thanks Muzza!

This one taunted me as i found the caches on the other side of the fence on another trip. Very happy to have this logged!. TFTC
On a wet ride around Woodlands to get a few straggler caches like this one, it seemed no better time than today to add it to the list of multi's for the monthly challenge. All in good order. TFTC.

Thanks Muzza for the cache! Beautiful spot for lunch. Great spot to watch the planes land! Interesting ruins. We've had a great day today our fifth visit to Woodlands.
Thanks for this! It's lovely up here - Roos a-plenty, the homestead is really interesting, the gardens still present like a ghost of the past. The multi was nice, after a long walk, it was just the right length for the kids and they were so glad to get a swaps sized cache too. We dropped in a good handful of novelty erasers. The paper I was writing the answers on was getting so wet that I was chasing the ever decreasing dry spots that would accept my pencil marks without disintegration, so j was glad I had the forethought to write out the bare bones of it before I left. The Roos watched on- possibly rolling their eyes at us because they knew what we wanted and where it was. They are so big and so muscly that I keep an eye on them and keep the children close to me so we can appear big enough as a group that they'll just choose to hop casually away rather than stand their ground. I am not keen on a stand off! Luckily they oblige. Thanks again
Spent a lovely morning walking around woodlands. Interesting history with us multi, never knew this place existed, thanks for bringing me here!!!
Took on this multi during a further trip to Woodlands to do the main series and was glad I did - found in and quite visible so opted to replace as under and less visible in line with the clue - took a Anzac appeal wristband and left a pink jug figurine - TFTC
I made a return to where I left this series unfinished due to closing gates and rain, to find the rest.
As I got my bike ready in the car park, the sky was threatening to rain again, but annoyingly just after finding the first cache here today the sky cleared and it became bright and sunny again. Not very comfortable in my rain jacket!
I found the rest but one.
There was a small dead animal right in front of gz which made the experience less enjoyable.
Thanks for the cache.

I always enjoy caches with a bit of history involved. The plaque was informative and I tried to picture the house in it's heyday. Had a good look at the ruins, such a waste. Did the math and headed to GZ. Thanks for an interesting multi. TFTC Muzza
While doing the Woodlands series with DAB we done this one also.
We really enjoyed the history lesson here.
Its such a shame they started to demolish this beautiful piece of history.
We done the maths and were soon on our way to GZ.

Thanks Muzza for this great multi.
There was a great cache and it was well worth the walk (actually did 12 km in all). It was interesting to see the ruins of the homestead - it was a pity it fell into disrepair although it would no longer be a peaceful country mansion. Having read, looked and calculated I made my way over to find the cache. Rabbits scattered everywhere (they must like the fence) and then the container was to hand - thanks.
#605 - On a solo mission to do every cache in this park today, cache 79/106 of the day.
I had wanted to do this cache a lot earlier in the day as I was around cache #26 for the day but there was a big fence in my way! Many hours later by following the Woodlands trail I found myself on the right side on the fence and able to do the cache.
Fascinating ruins, I sat there for awhile having my last break in the park. Many rabbits near GZ!

Another beautiful place of historical significance. This was our last cache for the day as all the others were on the other side of the fence.
We dropped off our friends at the airport and went over to Woodlands. After a coffee at the homestead (no scones as the kitchen is being renovated), we walked the 2 km to the Cumberland ruins. We picked up the data at the ghost house and moved into the rampant agave scattering many rabbits. A short search revealed the cache at 12:30, nicely protected. TFTC

Beautiful day to be out and about on the bikes tackling the Woodlands series. With goodhorsehymn we headed out on the bikes and after a chilly start we had great weather to help us along the way. I had previously done the first 23 of the series and ghh was keen to do the lot in the day. So we started at #24 and had a clean sweep of all the others. Once we hit the final we separated and I headed back to tackle my remaining three (non Woodlands series) caches in the park. Much quicker getting back here on the bike and after gathering the information the cache was soon in hand. Very interesting to see the remains of this historical building at a great location. Had to go the long way around to get out of the back paddock and a few roos ran from the bike along the way. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited a trackable. Thanks for the cache Muzza. Great work as usual. A favourite point from me.

Up from Geelong for the day when alchey & I decided to finally tick the Woodland series off our list and bag a whole heap of smiley faces. Perfect weather for it with no rain and no wind. Took the bikes and off we went! Saw lots of kangaroos and plenty of wildlife and interesting things along the way.
When starting on the woodland trail we were sure the had to be another way in so finally nearing the home stretch we managed to finally get to WP1 and GZ. Thanks for the history lesson and very interesting place.
Would be great to have seen it in its 'heyday'
Thanks Muzza for the cache
Log signed & replaced. TFTC & smiley face

After average weather during the week it was great to get out to The Woodlands with Darth Briji to enjoy the day with no wind, blue sky's and 100 + caches found. I was surprised to see so many muggle photographers in the park and an abundant amount of Roos.
Took a detour from the woodlands series to grab this one, enjoyed the history lesson. With the cords sorted GZ was quickly found. Signed & replaced as found.
Thanks for the series Muzza

Back in this glorious park with Nut bear and we love a cache with history, so a detour was made to find this one. With the numbers done it was a nice quick find at GZ. Reading the story of these ruins I can't help but think it is such a shame that there was once a time when removing all history of an area was the norm.
Thank you so much Muzza for the cache and for bringing us here.

Out with BorisB&Natasha and the walk into this one was a must. We had seen the ruins on several other visits to the park but we were always a bit pressed for time to get in to this one. Today we made sure we had plenty of time and it was so worth it. The history of the house was both interesting and sad. The cache was found without any trouble and we even saw a baby rabbit near GZ.
Thank you for showing us this area and for the cache Muzza.

Back in the famous park to get some more Geocaches and finish off the series. Decided to get this one while we were close by. Glad I bought some paper and a pen to write down the answers so we could work out the final coords. Saw lots of kangaroos on the way back to the gate. TFTC.

Out on our 7th trip to the Woodlands to finally complete the series.
I was by myself this time as I think that I wore the missus and the kids out with our last visit only 2 days earlier. We had tried for this cache then but found our self's on the wrong side of the fence. Today, with no pram to push I parked at the Providence rd. car park and made my way directly to where the Garmin was telling me where to go, path or not.
After a short (2.3kms) walk through spider webs and rabbits scaring the s$%^ out of me I arrived at the ruins. I crunched some numbers and set off. First thought was do I really have to go through that? No I did not as I found away around and made a quick find.
Thanks for the cache Muzza.

A nice detour from the woodlands series, tonight on bike it was a downhill cruise to the sign. Then a short ride to the cache. It took me a while to spot, walking past it a few times but log was finally signed. it is great that caches get placed in these historical places otherwise I would never have trekked out here, thanks for the multi, a fav point from me
Out with JSando for what we hoped would be our final assault on the woodlands caches. Sadly Sando crashed his bike on the 3km ride to get to this cache so we won't get them finished. Really wanted to clear this cache and another that had been muggled on a previous visit so came here first. A great place to visit. Loved the little history lesson. Found the cache easily. TFTC
Finally found this one whilst working on the Woodlands 100 series. First two attempts I had it down but was on the wrong side of the fence. TFTC
Today was ladies day for Mrs80 and MrsXambo4u and although it was probably too hot we headed out to try and complete the Woodlands series. Mrs X was successful and the 80's now have only 9 left for another time. We found all that we looked for in the park and around the area. A total of 37 caches visited for the day. After completing Woodlands 75 we walked across to this one. Thanks Muzza for this cache.
Out and about with Mrs 80d for the day to get the Woodlands series completed and to check this one out along the way. Parked the car and started our first loop for the day. A lot warmer than what they said it was going to be and no breeze. Today is a day to be mindful of the things that slide along the ground. Kangaroos are plentiful everywhere. Did the side track to the old homestead. This would have been a grand house back then. Not keen on the garden choice but I guess it all about what survives.
Picked up the clues and did the short walk. Cache in good condition.
Thanks for the piece of history Muzza, glad I wasn't around then

We love a good multi, especially when it comes with history attached! A beautiful bonus as we were completing the Woodlands series.
At GZ, we scared a rat - or, was it a marsupial? Not sure.
Cache is in good order. The garden is full of agaves and oleanders. It must be so sad when a house is condemned - this one looks like it was a really nice home to people one day.

Still have this week left on holidays and so I'm out for an mornings walk in the forest and a cache or several. I have been whittling away at this series for about two and a half years now and after today I only have 4 or 5 left. Many hours of fun and entertainment.
Magic plants, Agave's I think. One has flowered and another 5 are just about to pop and then that's it, curtains, once every 30 years or so. Cache in good order.
Thanks for placing this cache muzza

During my work and travel year in Australia I'm trying to solve my 365 days of caching challenge. Having a moving home zone should make this definitely way easier.
My plan was to get all the Woodlands caches in one day, but every single morning something stupid happened, so I was not able to reach the park early enough. So I decided, to split the tour in half and started two days around noon at the park.
All the caches were in a good condition and, except one per day I was able to find all of them. I only got confused, when I started calculating the final coordinates for the bonus. There were some variables missing, but also, I found some which are not needed for the calculation. But anyways, with a bit of testing I found the bonus after a total of ten and a half hours walking around in the park.
The walk itself was fine, but to get here, or better, getting back to CBD with public transportation is a pain in the..
Thanks for showing me this park, I finally could discover some kangaroos, Echidnas and bandicoots (and an awesome view over the city!)
And thanks to the owners of Aeroplane Gelli, #12 The Entrance To Geocaching Heaven!, Cumberland Walk V.2 and AROCNAPHOBIA. I enjoyed your caches too. It's definitely nice to have a bit of variety during a power trail.
TFTC and greetings from Germany

My mission this afternoon was to finish off the Woodlands Series. This was my third visit, but this time the back paddock gates were unlocked, enabling a final attempt to conclude my business here.
I found them all except a couple which others can't find either, and are assumed to be missing.
I also had this one on my list. A very interesting site. A great pity someone felt that it had to be burned and demolished, rather than preserved in some way.
The clue worked well, and the cache was found to be in good condition, just a couple of days into unloved territory too, which was a bonus.
Took a Wazza and the Wenches pathtag
Left three of my own pathtags.
Thanks for placing this cache muzza

A few hours to fill in and a chance to find the remainder of the Woodlands series.
Even though this multi was a few hundred meters from my main path I took the walk anyway and was able to make a quick find after checking out the ruins.
I left a pathtag for the next finder.
Thank you for the cache muzza.

TFTC! This cache was found on day 4 of my trip to Melbourne from Perth. Teamed up with Gordo to tackle the Woodlands Series of 100 caches.
Met at the airport at 9 and started caching by bike at 930. We picked up all 100 caches including the Woodlands bonus cache and two others thy weren't part of the trail.
Overall a great day and a special thanks to Gordo who supplied a bike for me to use and showed me around this lovely place in Melbourne. Will happily repay the favour if you make it to Perth!!
Thanks to the catchers behind Team Woodlands it was a fantastic well maintained series in a very lovely part of Victoria I would have otherwise never have visited. Cheers

Completed this one on diversion from the Woodlands 100. Had to wait for the right time to access the fenced area. Once in the clues were quickly located and cache was soon to hand. Thanks for the cache in a lovely area.
did this one while on the woodlands 100 run

Did this cache whilst doing the Woodlands 100 cache series. Thanks for a nice multi and good luck to other geocachers.
Didn't find, but I will have a further look tomorrow. Now, that I am home, I have recharged..double checked the co-ordinates..and I believe it is where I was looking today..but I was a bit uncertain at the time and was battling against the GPS batteries. Tomorrow, however I will really take a close look
(This is my Woodlands adventure today...)
Thought that I would make a day of it trying to find all 100 of the Woodlands Geocaches by foot. After a false start at 7:30am where my GPS batteries died and required me to head to Roxburgh Park shops to replace them (because silly me had forgotten to bring spares) I hit the ground running. Found 25 in 2 hours, only then to be thrown a curve ball as I battled to find the entrance to the Cumberland homestead..kilometres after kilometres I walked around the electric fence searching for the gate. Eventually, I made it in but had lost close to 2 hours trying to find it. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to locate the 1 litre cache at the homestead..battling with the new GPS batteries which were about to give out. I did however bump into a fellow cacher as I went for one last find for the day. He was on his bike and had found 75 for the day and was going for 100..so was absolutely smashing it.
It was great fun searching for these caches, so I thank you for the effort that you have put into this. I look forward to returning tomorrow with back-up batteries and logging my 100th find, whilst also hopefully knocking off the entire series

This popped up as a nearby cache earier in the day. The fence between the cache and I had a sign that said "ELECTRIC FENCE. HIGH VOLTAGE, LOW AMPERAGE". Even though I recognise that a high voltage, low amperage shock is designed merely to give you the pain of an electric shock without the injuries associated with it, I wasn't going to test it out.
Later (this time while inside the fenced zone) I met a fellow cacher who had just come from there so I decided to give it a crack.
An amazing place. It's difficult to imagine how this place must have looked in its heyday. The residents would have had a great view of the airport runways (never mind the fact that it was demolished before Tullamarine was built, but I digress).
Found it after a very short search. TFTC. Took TB

Went on a great bike ride to find all 100 in one day! Didn't quite make it, but we had fun doing them and it was a great way to spend a day. Saw lots of planes overhead, beautiful scenery and TONS of kangaroos! Thanks for all the hard work you put into hiding these!
Thanks for this cache, we were on the right side of the fence this time round. It's amazing what happens to a garden over time. Left TB.
