Out on a ten different cache types in one day challenge . Got a great tip from a previous finder about this awesome web cam cache. A new type for me!! I'm the girl in the pink shorts at the bin/ lights. I had a large sticker with a geocaching logo but it can't be seen in the photo unfortunately! Tftwcc

My very first Webcam Cache... very cool... 10types in a day is still possible. I'm across the road in my Blue Geomuster shirt.

Great fun.. I'm standing near the pedestrian button.. I wasn't sure how long this was going to take, and if I could buy a drink to sip while waiting it turned out to be only about 10min before it updated for me.. Snap screenshotted, then time for a drink and some food at the Regatta! Thanks for the Web Cam Cache! This helps me achieve my 10 in a day challenge
We were in the area and I remembered there was this Virtual here.
I don't know why we haven't done it sooner.
Anyway we took the opportunity and logged on to see ourselves.

I went over to Aussie for a bit of a holiday to catch up with family & friends before I had to be back at work next month when baby turns one. So caching wasn't really the main purpose at all, especially as finding a cache , but a few caches of course had to be found while at it!!
Today, mum - who happened to be in Brisbane at the same time as me - and I went geocaching with Pprime, and fangsoki.
We were in the know as to this cache thanks to the previous finders, so could find the webcam & do the fuzzy photo!

This day finally came!! Not only did we manage to coordinate a day together in Brisbane with my daughter, but even better - we arranged a date with Pprime and Fangsoki to go caching together. With Suzee and Bethany of course! I have been looking forward to this day for some time, and it was definitely a great day out!! We fumbled around a bit to get the timing right and be in the photo, but here it is!
We are grateful to all CO's and also to our lovely companions who took us along to some very cool places without having found even a single cache themselves!! TFTC!!!

It was a real team effort here to get these photos. We enjoyed a meal at the pub and then after dinner the real adventure began. With one of inside on the phone and the other trying to get into the right position for a photo. With a little time and little waiting for the camera to refresh we soon had a result that would work.
The guy in the black polo is me.
Thanks for the Cache Rogainer, this is our first Webcam Cache.

Stumbled across this cache & had added it to our must do list. Finally found ourselves in Brisbane so headed there after dinner. Camera shots were pretty random so we crossed the road a couple of times - lots of people round! Woohoo. Finally got ourselves crossing the road. Thanks so much for keeping this cache going!
Thanks to Fangsoki and others for keeping an eye on this cache and the web cam.
As of June 2015, the web cam is back in operation.
Feel free to log a find on this cache if you manage to get a picture of yourself with the web cam.
Sadly, I am unable to even edit this cache listing as it has been archived and can not be unarchived due to web cam caches being grandfathered some time ago.
You can find the web cam here :- http://www.regattahotel.com.au/coro-cam/
happy snapping

thanks for this cache, it was fun to do, did it with JACS and RhoBocacher, the three of us were in the photo.
Always great to find a webcam cache! It's a shame it can't be unarchived. Thanks for creating this cache and for allowing us to continue to log.
Cheers

Found this webcam today, we waited for what felt like ages for it to refresh but at least we have a photo from both sides!
This was our 9th find out of 10 different types of caches for the day I was out with the Jacs team and Waz n Vic today, so Jacs team has posted our webcam photo. Such a shame that this one cant be reactivated TFTC
#4178 [18:26] wow, i'm glad that fangsoki told me about this working archive webcam as they are very rarne these times. parking was not as bad as i expected and i spent few minutes waiting for the best picture where i wouldn't blink thanks a lot!
Over staying with the big bruv and he told me about this little gem, so it was put on the must do list. Out today grabbing a few caches and had to do this one. What a beautiful area by the river, absolutely stunning today. Waited patiently for the camera to click and have the photo but you have to squint a bit i think to see us, but we are by the traffic lights across the street!
Thanks for the cache, and really chuffed to grab this unexpected one.

Was in the are to have a drink after work this evening. I am on the bottom left. I highly recommend the sliders!
I'd heard a while ago that this camera was active again, so we decided to stop by after finding a cache nearby and we were walking to the ferry stop anyway.
You can see me in a purple shirt and our pram (also purple) and I'll attach a photo I took at the same time.
We didn't have to wait long for the camera to update but traffic was a bit busy to attempt any sort of fun crossing.

On our way home from work this arvo we jumped off the train at Toowong station and walked back to the Regatta to get this one. That's us waiting at the crossing.
Visiting Brizvegus and it appears that there is still one webcam cache to be found in Queens Land.
I first heard about this webcam a couple of months ago on Facebook and I thought I go past there all the time on my bikes. I'll easily be able to get that.
But in reality you can't ask your mates to stop mid-ride to stand around in front of a hotel for five minutes waiting for a webcam to take your photo.
Today I was out by myself and grabbed the opportunity. It was a grey wet miserable morning but I smiled for the photo.

Was heading out to an event today and wanted to stop here to make 8 different types in a day.
So that's the back story to finding me here this morning with KerriMG in the pouring rain (it was only drizzling when we left home).
Got into position and waited for the camera to do its thing. While waiting decided we needed a selfie, as the photos aren't real clear. Checked my phone yep a photo had been taken. Call hubby he says you're standing to close together, well that's because we were taking a selfie. Ok we'll stand here a little longer in the rain. Yep another photo taken. Hubby tells me he has a screen shot, also took one off my phone (not that I don't trust him). Then it was back to the car to escape the rain.
Oh the things we do for a smile!
my web cam - yeah!

Visited here today on a windy old day, stayed for a bevy in the establishment across the road.

I came by on the weekend only to find that the camera was once again not working. What a difference a day can make! Today it is back in action and I managed to get myself captured!
A little stop over on a trip between QUT and UQ. Took a ride on the ferry today (what's another 1/2 hour). What a glorious day.
Thanks Rogainer.
Thanks Rogainer.
This cache has been on the radar for a few weeks. Some potential times have been planned but today became the day to do this.
A quick dash to the train, walk over and then a patient wait. And six minutes the browser shows a refreshed image with someone loitering by the traffic lights in the lower left corner.
Job done for find #1002, back to office for lunch. TFTCamera, Rogainer!

had a lot of fun doing this one, it was my first ever geocache, people were looking at us funny because we were doing all kinds of funny faces and poses to get the photo right. It was awesome, everyone should do this one.

We heard about this cache from D&Mocha and were excited as we thought there were no WebCam Caches anywhere near us so I jumped at the chance of going for it!!
D&Mocha were making it their 1000th find which was going to be a great milestone and one that I really wanted to be part of!!!
It was a very clear night but as we found the images from the Regatta were not clear so we ended up taking extra photos to show we were there.
It also became obvious that it was very difficult to get an image of us on the road with the 5 minute snap shots from the camera and being able to coincide that with the changes of the lights and the very limited time we could remain on the road.
If you look closely you can see 4 of the 5 of us at the fence on the waters edge with the 1000 on the ground in front of us, then me at the Pedestrian crossing then D&Mocha & I at the lights on the other side on the Hotel side of the road.
Thank You So Much Rogainer for creating this cache and allowing to still be logged on even though it us archived!!! This definitely gets a favourite point from us.

Find #3444 this is our first webcam cache and we had a lot of fun doing this one ,armed with all the necessary it gear we proceeded to GZ and waited until we were in the picture ,it is us even if it is hard to tell TFTC
Glad the webcam is back . I used to live near here and cross the road here twice a day. Had to come for a special visit this time. TFTC
After going to purchase some new hiking boots for me we headed over to grab this while we still could. Stood for ages with 1MinnieMooJnr and 1GiantPanda while my muggle husband stood on other side of the road with phone and perplexed look. Eventually he had up and came over to join us and let me take the camera reins. Finally the photo updated and those blurry little people standing there appeared - showing it had actually taken when hubby was still over road! 1MinnieMooJnr was holding a yet-to-be-used log book and her geocaching badge, but totally indistinguishable. Glad we did get to do this tho and the chance to log a webcam cache, before they all went the way of the dinosaurs!

A rare and beautiful opportunity is afoot on the streets of brisbane. One brisbane Webcam cache is alive... kinda. With plans to Adelaide being very much on the cards, this cache coming 'online' seemed almost too good to be true.
It's a bit of a Willy Wonka tale.
A long time ago, this cache stopped making smiles for the world. Every day since it stood silent, cachers brisbane wide maintaining a vigil for the days the light would turn on and this cache would once again bring smiles to brisbane. Thanks to the efforts of cachers (Fangoski and Captain Terror primarily) word spread that the camera had come back on and once again unique smiles were on offer... kinda.
And with a unique opportunity we recruited two muggle family members who are geoaware to aid us in getting a unique pose. On a lazy Sunday evening we dodged broncos supporters to get a park close. Soon we were on gz and an intial photo was taken. Okay guys let's just walk across the road every time the lights change. And walk we did. One by one doing our best to impersonate The Beatles. Unfortunately we couldn't convince one of our family to go barefoot.
Five road crossings later and we had three pictures. The first and second both show us the left hand side and the third one had us crossing the road from the right to left, you guessed it, in a straight line of four! Abbey Road style! Although we will admit the muggles did throw us of sync slightly.
We were so happy to get the photo we might have seemed strange high fiving each other. Although right on que another wave of bronco supporters surged up to the hotel and we blended with the crowd until we were safely away from the GZ.
Thanks must go to Rogainer for allowing us to log this find and placing this cache. Also the reggata for providing this bit of fun once again (however knowingly or unknowingly!)

Back before it was archived, back before smart phones made it a simple thing to log a webcam cache, The Marble and I had tried three or four times without success to get the photo- and today, 8 years later and thanks to Fangsoki's heads up, we finally did it! Admittedly teeny figures, but we're in the photo and as pleased as punch to be able to log it. Many thanks to Rogainer not only for the initial placement but for allowing the current logs too. TFTC!! =^.^=
Well this has been a long time coming and finally got to take the photo today. Actually it was La Kedi's phone that took it as I don't actually possess one unless you count my 14 year old Nokia which is incapable of such things. If you look very closely you can just make out two tiny figures standing on the corner outside the Regatta. Of course you'll have to look at La Kedi's photo in her post seeing as I'm still have to catch up with the times and buy a smartphone. Glad we were able to still log this though. Thanks Rogainer
troobloo and I went to try and get this cache.
Luckily cam was online and we got the pic of both
of us at the same time at different sides of the road.
My very first webcam cache and it is now a favourite
type to try and find.
Thank you

got to be happy with that, we are. Rare Brisbane icon attained.

So with much bumbling from me at home and freddo on site, the two least tech savvy people on Earth managed to a) work out where freddo should stand b) find the link to the camera and c) capture the image as freddo froze his butt off next to the river. This was a lot of fun, thanks for the opportunity to play with this new (to us) idea! Freddo is standing with his hand on his head in the photo so that he can be recognised. 5 minutes standing like this is a looong time he realised Tftc Rogainer
Felt a bit stupid standing here with KingKeyLocksmiths, at the crossing waiting for this shot. Unfortunately we couldn't do the Beatles walk as there was only the two of us. But with the photo taken and a selfie for good measure this is now a smilie. TFTC
16/7/16 @ 18:03 heard about this one and was keen for the idea. Was planning to go later tonight but the cold weather put me off. So a quick phone call to Marina25 and an early attack was agreed upon. We fought the traffic in and thankfully found a close park. Our first photo was taken just as a car drove in front of us. thankfully the next one was a winner. Great idea for a cache, a shame to see it going. Time to fight the traffic. TFTC
Was planning on attending an event tonight and it was suggested by Slowpuncture that we pose for the photo as a group. So after a lovely dinner, drink and chatting Team Benders, Orange Crew, Rhyssa6, myself and Slowpuncture convoyed our way to the Regatta. We did look a tad suspicious standing by the road with our glow sticks only to discover that the glow sticks can't be seen on the photo!! Thanks for my first cache of this type!
If you look closely you can see me 2nd from the right!
If you look closely you can see me 2nd from the right!
After the Northside catchup event, a group of us organised to take a convoy to the Regatta and log this monumental Webcam. So we gathered together, shuffled across the road, and synchronised glowsticks waiting for our pic to be taken, much to the bemusement of onlookers. It took only 3 minutes before we got a snap, which I quickly saved. It's a great privilege and novelty to log this find, thank you so much Rogainer.
After the Northside Cachers Catch Up #4, a group of us drove into the Regatta Hotel and arrived in position for our picture to be taken. Orange Crew took the screen save at the appropriate time as we were waving our glow sticks around. Very chilly at 8.30 pm. The nearby revellers in the pub and passing traffic were bemused at our antics. I am 3rd from the right holding my glow sticks high. There was Orange Crew, Zardecoh, Slow Puncture Rhyssa6 and I.
Thanks Rogainer for my first webcam All good with this webcam

After our Northside Cachers Catchup, we set off in one of the coldest evenings in recent memory so we could stand by the windy Brisbane river. Why? So we could appear on the Regatta Webcam of course.
Armed with glowsticks, our intrepid little group shivered through our stay which was mercifully short before it was announced that the image was captured.
Got lots of strange looks from people in vehicles when they stopped at the traffic lights, we have NO idea why!
1st webcam cache ever !

Here with Orange Crew, Team Benders, Slow Puncture and Zardecoh after the Northside Cachers Catchup event at Everton Park.
Armed with glowsticks to make ourselves more visible (that didn't really work so well [:p] ) we stood around in the freezing cold waiting for the camera to take our photo. It was only a few minutes but seemed much longer to a couple of us who seemed to be colder than everyone else!

What better way to spend a cold and blustery winter's morning than standing by the riverside waiting to have your photo taken. The photos aren't going to be any use if it comes down to identifying me in a police line up but it's definitely me, just ask the people sitting on the verandah this morning wondering what that strange person was doing wandering backwards and forwards across the road with an ipad. After finally working out the intermittent photo taking schedule I have some shots that I hope are acceptable. TFTC.
The caching grapevine told me this webcam had an operational camera again. So, this afternoon, I called past and admired the view from across the road. And I stood, and admired it some more. And a bit longer. Eventually, after 4 or 5 photos, the corocam snapped one of me.
Some of my best university days ended in the front bar across the road. So, this establishment has a fond place in my memories. A favourite for bringing me back here to these memories....
Many thanks Rogainer.

Well I have had this cache on watch for 604800 seconds and its been 7200 seconds since someone has logged a find on it, so I better get cracking. ;-P
Was at the Kenmore Event last Sunday when Mr and Mrs RoddyC brought this archived webcam to my attention. It is the kind gesture of cachers like this that make it a great community. Its great to share the good ones with your fellow cachers and the fallout of these guys sharing this one is making this one hot cache.
I have been watching with interest all week and shared it with whoever I've been talking to, but today on the way to another great find I was able to take an image or three so I am able to log my first webcam. I arrived this nice sunny Sunday before lunch and was able to find a park out the back near the bottle shop. Arriving at the Coro View area I suddenly became transfixed on my iPad. After a while I happen to screenshot 3 shots of the Coro View looking down on me. I am the one in black as usual.
Thank you very much Rogainer for placing this webcam and for accepting finds on it again.
(Thanks to the crew who persisted in this one to be found again...you know you are)

I was approaching my #500 milestone so MinkosDes and Casow11ry decided to join me for a day in the 'big smoke' to find some preselected caches with TARDIS to be my milestone. Having now finished the day I can say it was an awesome adventure very much worthy of using for my milestone.
Was informed about this cache by Dahumbug (Thanks mate) so decided that whilst in the city for my milestones trip we would grab our first webcam cache.
Yes that is us in there, hard to see so I have a photo of us with the Regatta in the background with us pointing at the webcam (Not sure what MinkosDes was pointing at).
I can tell you that we got some weird looks from the Regatta patrons aswell as passers by on the footpath as I stood there for 5 minuites with my hands up in the air waiting for the next photo to be taken!
This was a fun addition to our caching adventure today.
Thanks for the cache (And permission to log after archiving) Rogainer. The webcam Regatta Hotel and the info to go make the find Dahumbug.

I think this is Find #436 (lol)
Being invited along to a caching trip to celebrate Mtill17's 500th find with MinkosDes, I had no idea of which caches were going to be hunted besides for the 500th. So after arriving late (sorry.. I slept through my alarm) we headed off to the ghastly brisbane to find some caches.
Having been informed by another cacher that there was a webcam available.. we thought we'd better do it while in the city. So not sure what the delay was with the webcam we proceeded to our spot staring at our phone screens waiting to see our ugly mugs on the picture when it eventually happened. Right-- photo 1 taken, now Mtill17 wanted to pose, so with much delight we got to stand by for quite sometime while he held a pose for over 5 minutes... haha.. the onlookers from the club were quite amused by this site aswell.
So this is what a Webcam cache is.. woohoo.. i can tick this off my list. Thanks Rogainer!!

Today Cassow11ry, mtill17 and I were heading down from the Sunny Coast to the Big Smoke for a milestone run. This was not any run of the mill milestone, though the BIG 500 's for mtill17!!!
It was all about mtill17 today and he had pick of the run and the caches that were going to be hunted. And, what a list he had put together for us today! This list included some of the best caches that Brisbane had to offer. I have to say that today was not only a milestone for mtill17 though also was a day of trumping what I thought used to be the best caches I have found.
After a fun morning and an awesome US lunch it was decided that we should head over and grab this cache whilst the camera is still online. After figuring out how logistically it was going to happen, we all just... Stood there, waiting, watching... Then mtill17 decided that we wanted his hands up in the pic... So we had to stand there for 10mins with this guy with his hands above his head, LOL.
It was great fun!
TFTC Rogainer and it's great to see it back up and running.

Stopped by the Regatta on Coro Drive with Orionj. We stopped on the righthand side of the crossing and waited.
I received a note that this webcam may be back online. I wasn't able to make the Friday group but made a solo trip this morning before sun-up.
I had intended to be in the middle of the road to stand out a bit but there was way too much traffic and way too many bike riders for that to make sense. So I stood on the gutter gazing whistfully toward the camera all the wall keeping one eye on the phone and the web cam image waiting for it to refresh. It did that me.
thanks for allowing me to log rogainer.

My original log was a little short from logging on site. However just wanted to add that it was quite exciting to actually get to log a webcam cache, definitely not something you get to do every day. Also updating the date for Saturday, plus TB visits.

Got wind of this one and organised a group attack with some Members of NPG.
At the agreed time, myself, barbbowman, bubba 89, Mr JaT, Linden 6, Team DFL, Tricky T arrived at the location.
Waited for that magic time and a few even got their pose on to be identified. Photo captured and we were off.
Nice to finally have a Webcam on my list.

Unlike the guys that have been watching this for 8 years, I literally found out about this cache yesterday on the MCBC grape vine. I couldn't believe my luck as I was heading to Brissy tonight for dinner and a few hours of caching. I mentioned it at the table and everyone was keen but as the night disappeared so did able bodies. Not wanting to waste the opportunity I detoured through the back streets from the Gap and popped out at the traffic lights right next to the hotel. The only person in cooee was the bouncer. Like every damn street in Brisbane I had to drive half way home before I could do a u-turn and park closeby.
I wandered on over, took my place but I had a feeling the bouncer was a little concerned so I went and gave him a quick run down of what I was doing so he didn't think I was a weirdo. Suffice it to say he probably thinks I'm a weirdo anyway.
So back I went and waited. It's amazing how long 15 minutes feels when you're in a hurry compared to that snooze button. Anyway the photo soon arrived and I couldn't have been any closer to tomorrow if I tried. Actually I'm not real sure if I should log for today or torrow considering the photo arrived 8 minutes later.
Thanx Rogainer and to the guys that have brought this to everyones attention

Part of the motley crew that congregated for the photo op this morning - thought yellow would stand out from the crowd. We haven't uploaded the photo as it has been included in other logs from today. Thank you Rogainer for the opportunity to log a find on this rare icon cache.

This one is sometimes here and sometimes not. So when the opportunity to grab it was mentioned I jumped on board. Arrived at the appointed time and place and despite curious/worried looks from passing traffic and workers on site, we managed to do the deed. Thanks all who attended great morning. Thanks Rogainer, hope you can get this one going permanently.
I saw a few posts on Facebook saying that this was back in action. I have not done a webcam cache, so I was keen to do this one.
A group was heading there this morning and I managed to make it there just in time. Thanks for waiting for me everybody
I had brought along my Tablet computer in an attempt to get a better photo. It is a bit better than the one form the phone, but still not very clear. We all know who we are.
Thanks for the chance to log a new type of cache Rogainer.

Woohoo!!!
Smilie #2430 & what a smilie this was!
Recently heard a rumour (?) that it just might be possible to grab a 'webcam cache' find.
Seriously great news!
Webcam working, not working, working, not working ... NOOOO!
I might have to camp on the side of the street to get this one sorted!
The word was out, of a few intended visits, but I felt time may be of the essence & the job needed doing ASAP.
A new invitation came out yesterday to accompany a few avid cachers from the Northside so I jumped at it. It was indeed a mixed bag & a motley crew that arrived bright eyed this morning.
Passing motorists didn't seem sure if something was amiss or not, nor did the nearby construction workers but our visit passed without unnecessary molestation!
We waited through a few cycles to ensure a successful happy snap then moved on to collect a few more random nearby caches.
TFTC Rogainer & the opportunity to grab this smilie today.
A favourite point for the cache & the resultant experience.

Totalube sent me a message while I was at work today about meeting up after work to grab this one, we had both heard it was up and running again and had had then same idea! Count me in!
After work I hurried to catch a bus just down the road to meet him. When I got to near the bus stop the bus was also there! Too bad I still needed to cross the road! I quickly ran across and .... Oh no! You can't get across from this side! I'll have to go back to where I was and try again for the next bus! Good thing they are VERY frequent at this time, and there are a number of them that I can catch! It wasn't long before I got to the bus stop and a bus arrived, and I was off.
When I got to the stop, I quickly walked up the road and met up with Totalube, but when I did he let me know that I had just missed the last photo and that we had to wait. No problems! More time to catch up!
Time went quickly and before we knew it the photo was taken. The quality was not great so we took a couple of selfies for more proof (please see Totalube's log). Once with the front camera that wasn't great and one with the back one which was better.
Thank you so much for this opportunity, I know these caches are very rare now, and I'm so happy I was able to get it! Thankyou so much for the cache!

Well that was an adventure! I had heard that the webcam was up and running, so this headed to the top of my to do list. Lucky I'm on holidays! After an interesting morning fighting with computer printers and grumpy pre-teens, I headed down to the Regatta by myself (ah peace and quiet). I'd prepared a little sign and dressed in red hoping to stand out. I hadn't banked on so many people being around, there's lots of workmen doing construction on the Regatta ferry terminal and surrounds. I got my first shot from the webcam - can't really see me, a second one a bit closer to the pedestrian crossing, standing at the back of the blue and white checkers - can just see me. Then a final one at the front of the checkers. This is the one I'm uploading. I didn't realise how tricky it would be to juggle an iPad, phone and sign (LOL!), but I think I got there in the end. Thank you so much Rogainer for allowing us to log the webcam cache. I have never done one of these before and it was a lot of fun
I started caching soon after the last log before the camera stopped working, so I accepted that I would never get this cache. So you can imagine how happy I was when I found out it was active again
So while I was on a caching streak I got in touch with Sezzz to grab this one after work. We arrived and waited for the camera to cycle to the next frame, that's us behind the yellow sign next to the path .
Much easier to get this than 2008, no need for a friend on a computer with a modern smartphone .
Thanks

Wow. I pass this spot every day and I never knew there was a cache or webcam here. I live at Taringa and ride my bike to work in the city everyday. Sometimes I walk the 8km. This morning it is 11 degrees so with shorts on it is quite chilly. I have 3 photos from here. 1 of me on the pub side. One with my bike on the blue and white squares. I also have a few of the beautiful sunrise to show I was actually here as I just look like a blob in the photos. Yeah I know I look like a blob anyway. Thank you very much for accepting logs on this. Tftc.
At an Event last night I heard that this webcam was up and running again, and that a few people had visited Brother Colin also heard about it and was keen, so it went straight to the top of our list for today [^] After meeting up this morning we made our way around to the Regatta, then took up our position. It took a couple of goes for our picture to show up, but we were both pretty chuffed to see it [^] BC handled the technology, and then we headed off for our outing. A great way to start the day, so TFTC, Rogainer.
At an event last night I heard this webcam is going again.
So this morning IolantheK and I headed over.
I short while later the photo was taken.
Thanks for the cache.

Out for a day with the RoddyC's and they suggested a web cam cache, yay something different. I don't think I need to add my pic as RoddyC has said where we stand in has picture which was taken on my iPad. TFTC
Came across this one by accident when looking to see what caches by the CO we had done for a particular challenge. So yesterday in the company of DiamonJS we sussed it out and took a iPad Screenshot of us. In the attached we are standing on the newly-painted white line - from left to right, Mrs and Mr RoddyC then DiamonJS. We had to wait for a while for the camera to post the photo.. Our first WebCam Cache. Yea!
Found at 3.00pm on 2nd July 2015. TFTC.

After hearing about this one recently I absolutely HAD to grab it.
Lucky for me, Dave is regularly visiting the Regatta for work. Tonight was open mic night at the Regatta and Dave was there to assist in finding some new talent.
After he finished up, he wasn't allowed to leave until he had waited patiently for the Web cam to take his pic.
After several attempts and a few manoeuvres, we think we got a great shot! And one taken from the other side to show the Regatta in the background!

Interestingly, this cache was archived only a month or so before I started caching and I was blissfully unaware of the existence of a Webcam in Brisbane. I think it was a couple of years later while on a group puzzle hunting tour of Adelaide, that I picked up my first Webcam and wa advised of "Regatte Cam". Hmm, well I guess I will never get that one will I...
You can imagine my surprise when suddenly, there was some action on said webcam and I received a little nudge that it was "a goer"... Really... Mrs Gunnie and I planned to lunch somewhere near the City today, as we had a show to attend later on. Naturally, I felt compeller to swing past here for a bite to eat and maybe a quick photo...
All fed, I arced the tablet up and set Mrs Gunnie a mission, but the drizzle set in so we settled in for another wine... Ten minutes later, the weather had eased so I handed the gadget over to my photographer, while I stood "oh so naturally" by the traffic lights. You know, like you do... [^]
It took a couple of goes to snare the pic and I couldn't help but wonder what the older couple by the window were thinking about my loitering in a risky place and why I kept nipping back to check the tab. We had mission success though and I was most pleased to have Brissie's only webcam under my belt.
My thanks to Fangsoki for his persistence and for alerting me of the resurrection. Much appreciated.
Thanks to Rogainer for allowing the cache to be logged, weeeeeellllll after being put to bed. Nice work.
For something different, I'm adding a favourite point to a cache that was archived many years before they were introduced... [^]
Cheers Rogainer.

I feel like when I started geocaching, Webcams had not long been grandfathered which I thought even in my early days was sad. This one was last found a full year before then and being the only webcam to ever appear in Queensland, and due to my complete lack of travel very far beyond it's borders, have never found a webcam before.
When I became aware of this listing, I do not know, but Fangsoki and I naturally got chatting and vowed to keep an eye on it. Emails to the Regatta assured us the cam would come back online. Messages to Rogainer confirmed we could log it with CO permission should the time come. About weekly I checked everywhere on the Regatta website. Gaz of Gaz'n'Kab every few days. Fangsoki checked daily. We shouldn't miss it.
Then, one magical day, Fangsoki noticed the beast online. The camera pointed a slightly different direction and found at another URL, but it was absolutely the right webcam - Rogainer even said so in another email. The camera can now be found at: http://www.regattahotel.com.au/coro-cam/
So a date was set for a few interested friends to meet up and claim the find together. I'm sure 9 people is the largest group to do so. Net88 and I arrived, then Gaz'n'Kab followed by Fangsoki, Pprime, radnoski, Nyssaflutterby and when Crew 153 joined us, we were good to go!
We must have been the sight, waiting around for the camera to take a photo and update. With the advent of common smartphones, we could do the whole operation where we stood. It seemed to miss a cycle, but there were cheers when a capture with our group in it appeared. Across the road is the best location to be in frame now, and the camera has resolution comparable to a photo taken by a toaster, but we were definitely there. We took a few photos with real cameras to add to logs also.
And so, this is my first ever 'Webcam Photo Taken' and also my 100th find on an archived geocache! A congratulations for Fangsoki's 6600th find on this one too. Most of the group retired to the Regatta for coffee and a celebratory dinner. What a great find - some 2926 days since it was last logged and legitimately too!). Thanks to Rogainer for allowing the find and to mates who joined in on the adventure and all its preparations. TFTW Rogainer - I'm even going to give it a favourite point

Logged with the gang on this day some 2926 days, over 8 years, since last snapped in action.
Yes, I too had put this one on watch - not so much this cache, but the Regatta cams. They were supposed to email me once it was working - but still waiting on that email. Like Fangsoki, Capt.Terror, Crew153 and others I had it bookmarked and regularly visited it .... 'just in case'!
...and the light went green. With immediate reaction from all and sundry a date was set, and rocked up we did - enmasse. Fangsoki organised CO permission. Radnoski, Crew 153, Nyssaflutterby, Captain Terror, net88, Gaz'n'Kab, and I did the turning up on time part, and the ten of us got some photos. On one side, on the other, taking photos of the photos with photos of that. One photo even featured a semi-streaker in the background (not posted here by me).
And a lovely chat, a great meal at the establishment, some well awaited caffeine and maybe a few other caches for the day completed. Brilliant stuff.
Much thanks Rogainer. And like the wonderful Henry Frankenstein might have said ... "It Lives, it's alive, alive!!"

I've been aware of this cache since I started geocaching. I was very sad it was "before my time" as the Webcam is a rare beast indeed.
I had examined the Regatta Hotel's website. The "Coro Cam" link was there.. but it's not working. I emailed them Regatta Hotel over a year ago now. They did indeed confirm they planned to put the cam back. O Rly? Not being the presumptuous sort, I also emailed Mr Rogainer about it. He kindly said that he would accept finds on it if they camera was active again.
It would take another 12 months before that camera was active. Captain Terror and I both had links at the top of our browsers checking it every few days or so. At one point, the link disappeared and I thought it would never happen. I checked the link once more before I was going to delete it - and *pow*. It's working!
You can find the link to the webcam at this link http://www.regattahotel.com.au/coro-cam/
We picked a date we could all do a group find and meet up to do this - the 21st of June sounded dandy So Captain Terror, Net88, Gaz'n'Kab, Crew 153, Pprime (P`), Nyssaflutterby, Radnoski, and myself all rocked up for this auspicious event.
It took some nervous waiting. The camera isn't quick - it cycles every 5 minutes or so - and is slow to put the image up. We think it actually skipped a cycle while were waiting. But eventually it came up and we could see ourselves. Screenshots aplenty were saved. Doubt that group is us in the first photo? Check the second photo...
So it was time for a celebratory dinner afterwards at the local Regatta. I am very happy to be able to get this cache - my 6th webcam. .. and I'm counting it as my 6600th find.
Just over 8 years (or nearly 3000 days) unfound. I am happy to be able to celebrate the find with a great group of friends. I want to thank Mr Rogainer for his kind permission to allow us to log the find.

It was a disappointing day when this cache had to be archive as I had plans to have another attempt at getting a smilie for it.
Occasionally I have looked at the webpage for the Regatta to see if it had been replaced and I was surprise when I heard from another cacher ( who also has been checking the web page) that it had been activated again.
A plan was formulated for a group of like minded cachers to head to the location and get a photo captured from the cam.
It was great to catch up with the group and we stood around waiting for our image to appear on the little screen as it appears there is a delay from when the image is take and when it is posted to the website. Finally the image appeared and we made sure there were multiple captures. The technology of capture is a lot different than it was when the cache was published and this made it a lot easier to check our mission had been successful..
Thanks Rogainer for creating this cache so many years ago and thanks to my intrepid fellow cachers for a fun get together.
Not often I put a fav point on an archived cache but this one deserves one.

Logged with the gang. Photos to be added and the experience to be described ... similar to the others on this date.
I was part of the group that headed out to the Regatta to get our photo taken. I shall write a longer log when I make my way through my backlog
Thanks for the webcam Rogainer.

20 odd years ago I lived in Toowong and the Regatta was a quiet old pub that we would visit when we wanted to escape the craziness of the Royal Exchange (RE) up the road. There was very rarely a line for the bar and it didn't take to long to get a pool table.
I visited the Regatta in 2003 with Geoff (later to be known as Fangsoki) and some other mates for a pre-wedding blokes buck's day to find a totally different vibe to the place. It was now the trendy place to go and had added restaurants and toilets with one way glass that was thankfully installed the right way around.
I just checked the date of this cache being published and thankfully we were a year early in 2003.
Anyway, skipping to 2015 and Fangsoki had been keeping a keen eye on this one. It was a Sunday afternoon and we met up to see what kind of photo we could get out of the cam.
We crossed over the road and waited for the webcam to update. It updated and we were not in the picture and it was from 5 minutes previous. We waited for a few changes in the lights and seemed to have caught the interest of some onlookers from the veranda of the pub. The screen updated and there was our group gathered on the far side of the road. We crossed back over and got some cheers from the onlookers.
I will upload the cam picture and the photo I took of the group after the picture was taken. Mr Prime also has a picture of me taking the picture.
Heaps of fun. Cheers!

A great find with the group today after much planning, several emails to the hotel and confirmation from the CO that we were OK to log this [^]

Woohoo!!! Thanks to the detective work and persistence of Fangsoki, the group was able to head to the Regatta Hotel today and get a happy snap of us all on the coro cam A bit of fun on a Sunday afternoon. Thank goodness I made it, I hate driving in the city!

Alas - the time has come to say farewell to this cache.
I was hoping that the web cams would come back on line or that I could find another web cam close by, but no luck.
Thanks to all who participated

Alas, it looks like the Regatta have updated their website and opted to no longer maintain their web cams.
I will disable this for now in the hope that they will miraculously reappear or that I can find another web cam nearby to transfer this too.
However, it is more than likely that I will have to archive this one

The regatta seems to have a new web page and the web cameras are no longer look as they they are accessible from the new home page or any of the other new pages. The links embedded in the cache note take you to the old web pages but as noted by Postehaste none of them are currently working. Maybe in this age of privacy & litigation the images are no longer public.
This one is so close to home and not being able to log it is driving me crazy! I hope their webcams are functional again soon. I have an idea for logging this one in the meantime - if one were to have their photo taken (while sitting in the Regatta or with the Regatta in the background) by someone on the other end of a video skype chat, might this count as a "Regatta cam"? (clutching at straws in this age of wireless broadband!)
We planned to meet friends for lunch at the Regatta and thought we'd check to see if there were any caches close by while we were in the area...delighted to see that we hardly even had to leave the pub!
Camera was on today, and I even worked out how to download it over GPRS so I didn't have to hassle someone else . *Overall Experience: 3*. I also got to sit down and have a drink with Rastas and lochb, who had just located River Rocks Okaye. It was nice meeting you lochb.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Same photo as for Steve&Family below. Could not see the camera so just smiled into the Regatta direction. TFTC
This has been a long time coming, but he opportunity to get a cache with the resident gadget geek in attendance was not able to be passed up.
Saved some electrons by getting a photo with lochb and Steve and family at the same time.

We have tried this one a number of times, only to be thwarted by a webcam that didn;t want to play the game.
We saw the camera was online, so we stopped off on the way home to do this one.
Photo attached - Mrs Steve, Miss Steve, Rastas and Lochb.
Thanks for the cache!

Nice and cool today but gave me some exercise riding there. Now how do I attach the picture?
What a simple cache........yet I didn't seem to get quite in the photo but I am there with the carta.
We were here today, the coldest Boxing Day in Brisbane on record. The roads were wet, everything was grey, and the photos were blurry. Thanks to Heather for capturing the images. Cheers from Featherwaite!
After a big day out with Lisa (Ozcruiser) - think we could get a quiet drink - no way ... anyway thanks to Tex (dnt1243) managed to get a pic snapped of us outside. What you can not see is the line up on the other side of the road trying to get in ... Brisbane Show Holiday - and Race Day - no point hanging around here - onto the next pub.
