### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there Leighroy,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).
Thanks for your cooperation,

Driving north to Dubbo for a meeting so took my time and did dome caches along the way. Helped break the journey and all were found.
Next on the journey - have stopped here before as a good birding spot but came in a different more direct way. Wish the sign was better as I came in the long way round the block. A quick walk and the cache was soon found. Not certain long for this world but I signed the scrap of paper within.

Found while staying in Forbes. Agree with the previous finder needs maintenance as cache in bits. Left a small log sheet of rain write.
Found it, but def needs maintenance..
Replace it and added a coke bottle lid to try and temporarily enhance the find confidence.

I found an exposed rusty eclipse tin with a water logged zip lock bag inside. If this is the cache it needs maintenance.
Nice quiet spot with a Willy Wagtail to keep me company. Needs a new log book?
Couldn’t find it (also to the person who said it’s locked off, it’s not. You go down the road further and turn off at the goanna statue then follow a trail up from there)
Very pretty area but be careful of the wasps and spiders lol

Worried it will get moved or taken one day, need new log if coming please!

Cache needs some love and looking after, log is soaked and can't be used anymore!
Couldn’t find direct way in from the highway managed to walk along a very wet soggy track from the sculpture. very peaceful place. All the birds seem to be sheltering from the rain. Even the ducks. Lid of container is broken off but log was dry. Thanks.
A nice stop on our journey across the country from Adelaide to Brisbane with Davidwazza! TFTC!
Moving from Adelaide to Brisbane, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to drive the long distance to make the opportunity a holiday, taking 12 days and passing through Victoria, New South Wales, and then finally arriving in Queensland. We spent the first few days in SA's Riverland, visiting Morgan, Berri and Renmark; and then drove through Mildura in Victoria. In NSW, we stopped at Hay, Parkes, Merriwa, Tamworth, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, and then entered Qld to stop for a night in Robina in the Gold Coast.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled from Hay to Parkes. We travelled east via Griffith, Yenda, Barellan, Ardlethan, and Temora where we stopped for lunch. We then spent the early afternoon completing the two Adventure Labs around the town and lake, and then headed north and north-east via Barmedman, Forbes, and arriving in Parkes in the late evening. Several of NSW's LGAs were visited during our travels today.
After seeing the mega goanna sculpture, we jogged the 550 m from our car along the tracks, arriving at GZ. It was a very pretty lake, and almost hidden away in this area. After searching around, we managed to find the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, although it was a shame only to have found a rusted Eclipse mint container, and hardly does this one justice. Thanks Leighroy for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this kinda oldie 12/2004 hidden cache.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Touring around completing some of our counties. We were surprised to find we hadnt done a Forbes shire cache , so here we are. A thriving wetland. Cache found in muddy location and little worse for wear, moved very slightly to place on drier ground. Tftc
Although NRC and my original SA plans may have been shutdown by the border closures, we decided to venture out anyway into our immediate backyard of NSW and pick up some counties and some much needed R&R.

A very wet and muddy walk down from the sculpture this afternoon to a very rusty wet cache BUT it was totally worth. The views and bird life here were amazing!!! I can’t believe this place is not better advertised!!!! A lovely walk with K8TYBEE on our “we had planned to be in south australia..” tour. Thanks for the cache.
Cute little water hen chicks! Wouldn’t have known about this spot if it wasn’t for the cache. Easy find, no treasure so left a stickee. TFTC

Birdwatching at the swamp! Took us a bit of trial and error to find how to get to the swamp now (not the hwy). Parked near the sculpture. Found cache, and replaced the soggy squished log, with paper in a glad bag. Returned as found. TFTC
Make sure you take time to sit and look for the Eagle Nests - there's 2 of them (that I could see). 1 directly to the front and 1 about 45 degrees to the left while sitting in the Bird Hide.

Day 2 of a 7 day trip from Canberra to Bourke, to Narrabri, to Armidale and back to Canberra. The main goal (apart from having a break from working from home) is to collect counties, and see some of NSW I haven't been to before. Cache easily found, however the log was sodden. An delightful scenic spot to visit at his hour of the morning. TFTC.

Hi Leighroy. Thanks for keeping this geocache alive as it appears to be the only one in Forbes.
As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.
If any cache Owner/s have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact.
TeamOZCAT logged finds when both Karen and Reg logged as individuals. This logging is exactly the same, only in reverse. Again, groundspeak acceptable.
For an unspecified period of time TeamOZCAT are no longer cache searching but remain active in our cache management and maintenance.
I sincerely thank all CO's and wish you all the best in your endeavours. Cheers Karen

Many cache owners are already aware: As per Groundspeak guidelines, I am claiming find because physically found under TeamOzcat. I undertake this not for disinterested statistical purposes, but because of inability to revisit this cache, and/or because it's so damn confusing when viewing the local district geocache maps. I sincerely thank all CO's for time and effort in placement of their caches. Cheers Reg.
Found but could not sign log due to it being soaking wet. Have sent this message to CO
KmanNZ's end of year road trip. VIC, NSW and ACT.
Day 2 had me driving from Narrandera to Dubbo via Grong Grong, Temora and The Dish at Parkes.
Find # 7
Not many TB's would fit into this cache - I was looking forward to well built cache but it wasn't to be it seems.
Still, signed and replaced and moved on.
Thanks

Today was day 2 of the trip Aquilus1 and myself undertook from Canberra... into the heart of deepest darkest NSW. Grabbing as many counties as possible is the name of the game as well as trying to pick up everything old and/or interesting.... if you are reading this its becasue this cache ticked one of those boxes.
The day started in Wellington and finished in Parkes, though we went the long way around. The highlights of today was some amazing caves, the Big Bogan and the dead centre of NSW (including 7 years unlove on a cache there)
Nice spot

With GreyHams we set off on our 3 day NSW caching trip, north up past Dubbo and across to Nyngan before heading back down... and around, to make sure we collected the caches of interest along the way. Counties, oldies, good DT and others of interest, enough to steer us across country and into some interesting and worthy to visit locations.
The sun shining and the sky blue it was a great time to be out through the changing scenery along the way, from the lush green hills to the flat straight outback. Many thanks to all the CO's for their cache placements, we sure found some unexpected locations worthy of visiting as we journeyed through.
Great old cache in a nice location.

This trip is the
Mad Mega/Ausmer 9x9 Mission....
I need 9 hidden month caches to finish my AUSmer challenges,
9 D/Ts to finish my fizzy grid but priority is going to the AUSmers.
It was a 4013 km trip from Brisbane to the Mega in Wooloongong.
5 states in 5 days(well one was a territory!) to finish off the AUSmers and a few other challenges....
Went through Qld, NSW, Victoria, a loop into South Australia then all the way back across to eastern Victoria for the last AUSmer, then up to the ACT and finally the Mega in Wooloongong. Phew!
This cache....
which CHALLENGE/ WHY?
older cache
LGA and distance from home challenges
leg stretch
It was a quick detour off the highway to get this one so I got a few minutes upright from sitting behind the wheel as this was a looong driving day, about 1200+kms on this leg today.
Even in the dark, this one was a nice quick find and all was well here.

I have passed this place so many times and today I finally stopped. Had to hang around for a while due to another person there - knew where the cache was .....finally decided to do the old "tie the shoe lace trick" Thanks for the cache here!
Heading towards Canberra for the mega event and this cache was on my route so I pulled in for a quick look and luckily a quick find between two cars of muggles. Nice spot! Thanks for the cache, Leighroy!
