As there's been no action by the owner, despite multiple DNFs and an archive request, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Searched for a good 20 minutes and found nothing - suspect cache has been removed by muggle. Nice spot.
We had 2 attempts at finding this cache but came up empty handed both times. There are great views here and we had some explaining to do to the local ranger who was here shooting feral cats as to why we were below the viewing platform.
spent a night on Phillip and wanted to do a few caches before I left ... so started with this one ... but I didn't manage to find nothing but rubbish. Suspect I found where it was supposed to be ... but it looked like someone had been camping under the platform ... so who knows ... hope they didn't find it - but have my doubts.
Back again today, this time including our other good friends who we annually spend the festive season with. In: Membership card for a Qld bowling club Out: Gabie’s new watch. From the bench we noted the distance and direction to Sydney where our friends live. Interesting grave on the road side near by. Thanks again Eko
In the company of our good friends with their geokids Asher and Ariel. We are on holiday on Phillip Island and this is our first find for the trip – we rented a house 500m away from GZ. A blowy find in weather more unpredictable than Melbourne but quite a simple find. In: TB Illinois Geocoin, McCar, Racing Bottle Opener Out: Smiley Face and YoYo Thanks Eko for a great holiday cache.
Found 1.20pm
Took 2 trips to find this one as the first attempt found a rather upset girl cooling her heals right above GZ. On our return the cache was very easily found and grabbed.
Took Nothing

Our last one for the day on the way out to see the Penguins. Again we are following the Penguin Clan. Definitely no TB in this container!!!!

Found at 3:45 pm with the whole penguin clan on a visit back to the island after a long absence. A lovely afternoon - a bit windy but great views. We didn't see the TB - only found out about it when we wrote this log. We hope it was still there or someone else has been there today. Otherwise we missed it or it may have gone AWOL. In: Teaspoon from Emerald, Qld; Out: Sea Shell. SL TFTC !!

Kids more fascinated with what you can and can't do here and when. Great views.

Back down the road to find this cache after the Ventnor Birds cache... now we're having fun :>
Final cache for the afternoon, just as the rain was starting to fall. The bag that had been put round the cache seems to be working... I managed to get the lid on reasonably well so hopefully things will stay dry... TNLNSL. TFTC.
It had been a nice day, but by the time we got to this cache it was starting to rain, so we had to be quick. Found the cache pretty easily. Wish we had something to swap, will buy some things tonight and try and find other caches tomorrow. Whathell signed the log. Thanks
Found this one without too much trouble (well the kids did the dirty work anyway) - Took the Oompa Loompah TB and will take him back to Qld with me next week.
Also removed a cigarette lighter from the cache - why would you put one in a cache anyway ????

Sallysatnav, Freeby and friends, had a lovely visit, great view, lovely day, easy find.
Took fishing fool TB and rubber ball.
Put plastic bag over container as it was leaking, hope this improves the chances of it getting wet again, otherwise a new container needed.

Fishin Fool found a new spot to take in some views and fresh ocean air!
Hopefully the Mutant Oompa-Loompa will take a break from his chocolate eating fest and also enjoy the ocean views.

Found by Roma and Max.
On the Island attending an annual square dance function we managed to find a couple of hours free for caching.
It was very cold and windy at this location and we were glad to make a quick find.
In: One of our usual Mondo Figurines.
Out: a Koala Key Tag.
Thanks Eko.

We found this cache at night surrounded by pin-pricks of light. A nice and easy one to do in the dark. Very picturesque. The container doesn't seal very well anymore and everything is damp. We took a green stone and left a toycar. Cheers
Dear Eko,
We found your cache today at 5:00pm. This was really exciting for us as we had just had a really bad run over the last 5 hours with just one find to our name in that time and that one was a tough grind. Nice to have an easy find at last today but we are not sure that it is now in your correct and intended spot as it was really in an open place (although hidden from the casual observer) and the last three logs in the log book were all muggles. It also has the words "POO" written upon the lit in fluoro, which we figure was probably not you who had done this. The contents were all ok though and all 3 muggles were quite excited by their accidental find. As other muggles were approaching, we did not have time to contemplate the correct place so it reamins where we found it. It may pay to have a check on this cache soon. Thanks for the cache.
Kind Regards,
D & S B-A

Muggles at GZ...... is there are more depressing sight??
Tried twice with the same results... oh well!
Top views and the grave nearby is interesting!
Thanks anyhow
Found by Jazwoz at 13:43. Having a great run with easy finds today (1 exception). Found cache with the lid partially off. All contents seemed to be ok and everything was still dry. Made sure lid was on tight before replacing.

Muzza and I found your cache a quick search, and appreciated the scenic view. The restful feeling in the area is fantastic. Took bubble blower, left compass. Thanks Eko for the cache.
This was the fifth cache of Alan-san's and my trip to clean up Phillip Island, although in reality, it was the first of only three caches that were actually on the island itself. We had the place to ourselves, so we were able to search without impediment. The cache was found without difficulty after a few minutes. Thanks for the cache, and another view of the island.
1.20pm. Easy find on a beautiful day. Lots of boats out fishing.
Cache Box was slightly wet, but contents fine.
We cleaned and dried it out.
A quick swap of loot and back to the MotoGp.

For this one I had to wait for Japanese tourist muggles to finish taking their photos, and then, the search ended at 15.45h. Took - Nothing (only photos) Left - safety whistle and TB438229 Any lighthouses where you're going? Photo upload will have to wait till I get home.
First cache find.. Beautiful day.. Had to make a mad dash to hide it when we heard some voices approaching, and then had to hang till they left.. Fun to find though Thanks!
Took Army dude, and left springy cow.

Found by Maya and Ray at 11.15AM on the 19th of Aug. We are visiting the area to attend the Victorian state Square Dancing convention being held in San Remo this week end. It is cold and overcast today but fortunately not raining at the moment. Lots of rain last night though. The cache was an easy find and we took a comb and left a yoyo. Thanks from The Nomads.
Seventh of 16 Bass Coast caches for the day. I found this one at 1145. As previously mentioned, the lid of the container is cracked, but contents are dry and in good condition. The Teddy Bear TB was preventing the lid from closing properly, so I evicted her. I was impressed to read that SatyricTim had walked here from Cowes--that's around 7km each way! That's what I call earning a cache find! Thanks to Eko for the cache.

7/15 founds by an austrian geocaching team while on holiday.
The cache was found while visiting Phillip Island.
More impressive then the lighthouse was the modern house next to it. Beautiful view down to the sea.
The lid of the cache was broken and so it was a little bit wet inside. We tryed to dry it, but the cache box should be changed soon.
In/Out: Nothing

Beautiful calm morning, the bay was flat, the sky sunny. Just sat down and admired the view for a while, before we got down to the serious business. A nice hide and a great spot.

Coming off the ferry in Cowes we found ourselves with a fair hike to this cache and the rain seemed to be setting in. So sarahg and I had a challenging time hiking the foreshore of Phillip Island in the wind and the rain. But we found the cache where expected, the GPSr's doing an outstanding job again. The cache lid was somewhat split, but it was nice and clean inside. On the hike back to the ferry pier the clouds cleared and the sun came out. We had the beaches to oureslves and after the cold and the rain, life was suddenly very beautiful again. A great cache, a great view, and a great place to walk.

Found with SatyricTim. Loved the location; it had us crawling all over GZ looking for it.
We took a ferry into Phillip Island and a taxi to near GZ. Then we walked all 6.5kms back to where the ferry was. Lovely walk! A great day in spite of the intermittent rain.

Pulled up and walked to GZ. The cache was quickly in hand and we sat and admired the fantastic views while we filled out the log book. As we are planning an interstate very soon we decided to release the travel bugs and assist them on their quests around Australia.

Dropped off BUZZ #5 and the "Oregon Journal" at this beautiful location on Phillip Island. Went to see the Penguin Parade after finding the cache.
I found this in the afternoon but Geomuggles were having tea. We went to Cowles for dinner. I found this just before dark on the way to watch the Penguin Parade. I left two travel bugs from the USA.

Arriving in Darkness the lighthouse showed the way, and the cache was found in a timely manner.
Being dark we couldn’t see a thing ahead of the lighthouse or how high we were, however you could hear the enormous roar of the ocean waves.
Many thanks Eko for the cache, even though it was dark it was fun.

Found easily by mother hen. Unfortunately mother hen did not want to retrieve due to the very nearby young fledgling Shearwater bird which was awaiting the return of it's parent with more food. These young Shearwater birds are not too bright and so the cache was easily removed by the rooster without disturbing the youngster which sat approx 15-20cm away. Signs all over the island warn motorists to avoid these at this time of year, and flatter versions of the same can be seen on roads everywhere accross the perimeters of the island A nice part of the island. Thanks Eko

This took a bit longer to find than expected. There is so much rubbish around that our usual Cache-In-Trash-Out (CITO) instincts were overwhelmed. The first search did not find the cache so we reviewed the logs. The second search located the cache at 1:20pm (our excuse was the somewhat distracting wildlife in the cache search area). We didn't know that Mutton Birds lived on Philip Island so it was a surprise to see one close-up. After reviewing the cache contents we took a peg and left a "fire extinguisher" water pistol and wrote in the log. We also left a pen. By this point we were feeling a bit conspicuous and it was time to return the cache.
I took the camera (as a cover) and the cache and had JUST put the cache back in place when a local came up to ask what we were doing. We had a long conversation about rubbish and wildlife and lots of other things. He confirmed that it was actually a Mutton Bird (Short-tailed Shearwater) - hopefully without getting him interested enough to have a close look and see the cache. Finally I popped down under to try and take some photos. Eventually the local wandered away and we "think we got away with it". Note that the cache cover is split but it seems to be perfectly dry inside. Thanks Eko for the cache.

A nice easy find, great view. They dont make lithouses like they used to. Thanks.
With no picnicers to contend with, the cache was located without incident, however finding no pen with the logbook a quick dash back to the car was needed. Unfortunately I didn't have a spare pen to leave, so maybe the next visitor could drop one off. No exchange made. Thanks Eko.
Like maccamob before, us there was a group of muggles having lunch when we arrived. So we just leaned on the railing and let the GPSr settle for a while and then pin pointed the location. Luke then jumped the fence as though he was looking for shells or whatever and picked up the cache with the muggles not knowing what was going on - it was kinda exciting!
We knew this spot as we stayed near here last year during winter for a weekend. Took: bottle opener, Left: Aust key ring. Also picked up Lil' enzo that could TB.
Thanks Eko for a great spot.

Found by Mary & David at 1515. Had to wait for a large and noisy group of locals to leave before we could search. Once they'd gone, we had no trouble locating the cache. A fisherman on the beach down below reeled in a sizeable fish while we were filling in the log book. Took Natio face mist, left can opener. Also left TB 'The Lil' Enzo That Could' to experience the Island lifestyle. Our thanks to Eko.
Found with relative ease on a beautiful, but busy Easter weekend. Had to continually avoid muggles while RugRat was eager on pulling the cache out of its hiding spot.
My apologies as I inadvertently took the pen from the cache. I hope the next cacher is able to replace it!
Apart from the pen, we took the plastic hair combs and left a kangaroo key chain.

We came to the Island with my wifes Grandparents who are over on Holidays from Scotland. So whilst filling in a little time before the Penguin Parade we took them down to this cache to show them what Geocaching is all about. Lovely views from the location. Although it was rather windy.
Took : Shaver Kit (A last minute decision to stay over night had my wifes grand father worried that he didn't have his shaving kit with him, problem now solved).
Left : Hair Clips and Smurf.

It was a very windy and a little bit wet exercise to locate the cache but well worth the views between the rain showers.

Could the next visitor please bring a stash note as I don't recall seeing one in the cache?
