Good hide. Took a minute but got it. Off the ship for a walkabout Dunedin. SFTH SL FYI log needs replacing.

Down for the MEGA with Supernannny and Net61 collecting some caches on the way. A quick detour to find this one while doing some ad labs in and around the octagon. A sneaky hide which we soon had in hand. TFTC

Visiting Dunedin for my first Mega Event, on tour with flossieteacake. Had a great time, despite the weather. We had all seasons: sunburn and (almost) frostbite!Great to catch up with caching friends, new and old, and to explore Dunedin in more depth.Thank you to all the COs for making their caches available after the recent floods and thanks to TeamOtago for all their work to ensure a successful Mega!TFTC, The Bohemian?? ,';*={thanks}-*;', ,;:*(thanks}:*;*:{thanks}*:;, ,;{thanks}:;:*{thanks}:;:{thanks);, `;:{thanks};:{thanks}:;{thanks}:;' `*&;:{thanks}:;:{thanks},:;&*' `-+;:*{thanks}*:;+-` `-\\\||///-' __ \\||// __ / `------' \ | }-(______)-{ | \___/ |||| \___/ /_, |||| ,_\ \| |/
Last time I was in Dunedin I hadn't read the description for this cache, so I was trying to search at the wrong elevation. Today, in the rain I came back with maplerosenz. We spotted what could have been a hole and tried to remove something without any luck. After waiting for some tourists to load their car with luggage and drive away, I spotted something but it was at the wrong height and nowhere near the vegetation. But it did give me a clue as to what kind of hole we should be looking for. I then went back to a spot we had looked at, but this time I looked from a different direction and spotted the cache straight away. It took maplerosenz a few minutes to spot the cache and extract it.
Back home in Taranaki after a massive 5 days at the Dunedin Mega with MrMuggleNZ and its time to start logging my findsall 226 of themso wish me luck. Only 2 DNFs the whole time we were here so thats a testament to the dedication of the local cache owners and their maintenance prior to this event. Day 4We turned up here thinking there was an ad lab stage here but we werent in quite the right spot. But I did spot our quiz partners from the night before in the fading light searching for this cache. So after a quick chat about our day we started hunting and then a previous finder arrived to show us what to do and it ended up being Sharkbait! I have seen their names around a bit on logs and I think they have seen mine as we were both happy to put faces to names. A cool little meet up to make our night. TFTC
Found on a trip down south to the Dunedin Mega with trayc.gsigned as MrMuggle or MM to save room..Thanks to the COs for all your caches. We had a blast. TFTC
Clever little sneaky hide, worth a fp. Log all good and signed here. Happy to be here for the MEGA in two days.
A cheeky hide here, found after reading some previous logs and lifting under some overhanging foliage, in between passing muggles, nice one, TFTC
A great cache! Excellent spot with some grey history. High muggle area. Was looking at the wrong part of the hide but the hint cleared it up x #38
was searching for this one in the dark which definitely was not the greatest idea in the world but to no avail. will totally try again later. saw some cool slugs tho which is a total bonus!
Lots of muggle activity made this one tricksy. Away on a sweet adalines competition weekend and found time for some light caching. TFTC

I tried from the wrong side (too high) on the day before and didn't have enough time to walk down to the right spot. But at least enjoyed the nice view from up there.Back the following day it was a quick find. Nice hide!
Found it! Took a minute we were looking in the wrong spot at first but once we found the right area it wasn't too bad not too high luckily just well hidden.
We gave up. Couldn't work out how high to look and coordinates were dodgy on my phone.

Despite the dire warnings from Swamp Wallaby, we've decided to look for just one more cache before leaving Dunedin. Well, it *is* right across the road from our hotel and almost behind the car. So, why ever not? Thanks so much for the cache, The Bohemian. Took nothing, left nothing, travellers visited and the log was signed.
Nice to find a traditional cache after a whole heap of adventure labs. A favourite point from me and greetings from Orange NSW

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we took the bus from Christchurch via Oamaru and Moeraki to Dunedin. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndy

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

Sixth day in New Zealand ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary country and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. After a stopover in Qatar and 8 days in Australia, our journey continued from Auckland to Queenstown with various stopovers.**Today we continued our journey by bus from Christchurch to Dunedin along the coast. My third week-long getaway this summer has me down in Queenstown for a few days of supporting the New Zealand brewing industry (and support it I have) followed by a few days in Dunedin supporting some of the influx of students into Otago university. Its a tough week, with only minimal time for Geocaching, but this was one I found.Hanging out downtown this morning, waiting for family to arrive, I did a walkabout to grab a few caches. A great hide here, but sadly the log paper is becoming very frail. Currently dry, but looks like it has been wet in the past.---Thanks to The Bohemian for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
Found a similar hide lower down, but then looked for camouflage and the little beasty was in hand. Luckily for the clue as GPS had us in the middle of the carpark.

I'm visiting Dunedin for a few days with muggle-hubby. He's playing basketball in the New Zealand Masters Games. I'm watching his games, and then caching at every possibly opportunity. We had stopped by here on Friday and I had a quick look, but with Muggle-hubby pacing nearby, it wasn't really conducive to a decent search, so we left after a couple of minutes. Today I dropped him at the basketball stadium early and made my way here for another search. It wasn't too long before I located the cache, nicely concealed with natural camo. I'm happy to put a tick against this cache which was on my list of 42 Dunedin Caches that i wanted to find while I was here. As previously mentioned, the log sheets could do with replacing. Thanks, The Bohemian, for keeping this cache going.
Had a hunch about a spot a little to the side of the hiding spot, so spent a little time on there. Got it eventually tho.
On our way through New Zealand we reached Christchurch. After a while we looked for the center where we looked for a geocach. And we were lucky, thanks for laying CO. With warm geocach greetings from the Netherlands
Were staying in the leviathan for a couple of nights, which meant we could take advantage of the carpark and parked right in front of where we searched. It was as a team effort for our family, but Miss 13 had the height advantage over her siblings. Log was a bit damp. Everyone agreed it was a clever hide.
The big mission of today day was to break my record of most finds in 1 day. I started in the morning from Larnach Castle, after spending the night there. Unfortunately, the weather was really bad for part of the day but I persisted nonetheless, going on a geocaching hunt through the wind and rain, on my bike! After going down Highcliff Road into the city, I spent a lot of time in the city centre, ticking off all adventure labs there. Then through the botanical gardens and onto the steepest street in the world, which I managed to ride all the way up in 3 'stints' . To finish off I grabbed some more tradies at the waterfront and just before midnight I called it a night. I'm not sure if I broke the record yet, since I'm only logging all finds at the moment .Btw, sorry to all CO's, I did not manage to actually sign all logs, since my fingers were sometimes so cold, I had no strength to open some tight containers. Rest assured, I actually found all containers and enjoyed the full day hunt a lot! Also sorry for this generic log for all caches, making it a little bit easier for myself, since I found so many. All finds were relatively easy, mostly because of the hints, thanks for that.
