As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Called away to work Sad so I will reset the cache when I return. The weather will be good then too so it'll make a nice day out with the ducks.

Cheers, Wayne and Jan

Thanks Allys Angels, IWell disable this one until I can rewrite the clues so that we can finish it where it won't get drowned as often. For those that have got to GZ and would like to log as a find please PM us.

I think i have co-ord's correct, but didn't find. After reading previous logs I think this one is still under water by the looks of it. Correct me if i'm wrong.

30-Aug-08
A lovely puzzle cache - quite different leaving us to our own devices. We found all the required information and came up with a set of co-ords that lead us to a DNF. We have contacted the owners to check our co-ordinates, so we may yet be back to correct our mistake. Otherwise we will await an update. Thanks for bringing us to this very interesting park Team Beachbums.

03-Aug-08
Went to check on this one as another cacher suspected it had been muggled. Not muggled - UNDER WATER. Too deep for me to put my hand in. You'll need gumboots for this one.

04-Jul-08
Hunted for long time, Found the perfect spot for a cache but no cache was found, Might have fallen victim to muggles or maybe just washed away or maybe we got the wrong answers.
Please Inform if it is still here and we will return,
TFT Q's

Found! Thank goodness. Took us ages, as our co-ordinate settings are different than those on the clues, but worked out in the end.
Very happy, as it was our first find that wasn't a micro. Took a set of stickers and left a few Hercules ones and new sunscreen tube. Also took geo coin. Will log it tomorrow and send it on its way ASAP.
Thanks for a great hunt!

02-Jan-08
Cache is back in action again all freshened up and ready to be discovered - this is a lovely area for a stroll, and the birds are very friendly.
Left Eyespy with my little eye GC.

28-Dec-07
Thanks for heads up Urch Smile Bad news about it being under water again though. I will send you an email about replacing it and see if we can grab it from you for repairs first.
Might have to think about moving it a bit or perhaps even retiring the cache. Although it would be a shame as it is such a nice park to wander around in.

Thanks again,
Wayne and Jan

27-Dec-07
Dropped by to rescue GC and found cache full of water (and GC quite rusty). Took cache home with me to dry out - many stickers now pulp, a few may dry out ok. Not sure if log book will be useable again, but will replace if no good. Hope to return within the next few days. A new container may be required to stop same happening again.

Returned again today armed with assistance on remaining 2 numbers and found it very quickly, making up for yesterday's marathon. Loved the park, and the amazing number and variety of water birds. Thanks for bringing me to this very well hidden park, Team Beachbums.

14-Oct-06
Wandered for ages all round this excellent park on a lovely Spring afternoon, with the place crawling with muggles, retrieved all WPs but 2... X & Y, and ran out of time. Will have to search further another time.

08-Oct-06

This was the last cache for the day, and the hardest. The clues had us wandering around the lake a few times amongst other places - even 400m across the road and around the neighbouring oval exploring possible answers we weren't sure of. Couldn't find any tree worthy of the title "Federation Tree". Had almost given up - even got into the car to leave but decided to drive NW of the compass exploring an option. Bingo. That gave us a more probable coordinate albeit 2m in the lake! Eventually found it after 2hours of walking and hair pulling. Very rewarding. Thanks Team Beachbums. TNLN

Just re-logging caches i have done under a different team name (3BlindEyes)

18-Jun-06
Having done most of this puzzle 5 weeks ago, we came back today and found the place crawling with muggles both big and little enjoying the nice warm afternoon. We found the dedicated bench this time, which was the last clue we needed, then after typing the final co-ordinates in to the GPS, Ursula soon found the cache. A great afternoon for a nice walk around the lake and park. Thanks for the fun and challenge Beachbums.

DNF as we ran out of daylight Sad
A lovely park, and we had a good time walking all over the place tracking down almost all of the clues. Couldn't find the bench with the plaque on it. Got too dark to continue so we went to the foreshore for kebabs.
Will finish this one another day. Thanks for an interesting challenge Beachbums.

06-May-06
Pulled up in carpark and the GPS indicated 1m to GZ so I fired up the laptop to see what the description was. The sun was setting so I decided to leave this for another day when I have more time. I'll be back.

02-Apr-06
We got to the search area and kept going in circles trying to solve the puzzle - had nearly given up when we asked a local for help - will go back another day and have a further search. Our legs were well tired!!!! Yellow Fang...

28-Mar-06
one of those DNF, oh well we will have to come back again as it's now 1600 and we must go home to get our LUNCH.

Out for a day of caching with the Bibra Boys. This is a great cache which gives a good overall look around the park. It prob took us longer than expected due to a BB's typo when they wrote down the clues. So there we were looking everywhere for a plaque telling us who the man made 'beach' was dedicated to...doh!!! In the end we used our powers of deduction and on the way to GZ found a 'bench' dedicated to someone...double doh!! Many laughs had over this.

Cache was REALLY well hidden, lucky BB's don't mind looking ANYWHERE. haha...

T: Geocaching sticker
L: Perth Glory Sticker, Girl Stickers & Horsey Stickers & calling card.

TFTF it was great!!

11-Mar-06
This was fun because of the detective work involved and the comedy of errors (one of many for BB this day). You know the drill about the "beach" vs "bench"....that was the half of it...we walked around the whole lake and beyond looking for the plaque about when the compass was installed....not to give to much away but we did a lot of walking from our starting point for nothing!

Another thing that cracked up us....we were looking for the federation tree plaque (more mindless walking around)...eventually asked this old lady if she knew where it was....at first gave us this vague answer as to where she thought it was (as if she didnt really know)......then just rattled off some dates!! For someone that wasnt sure where it was, you sure do know your history lady!

Cache was WELL HIDDEN, and I used all my strength to dislodge this huge rock from on top of it....discovered cache by chance...saw a hint of blue! So we decided to move it to a more accessible place a bit higher but safe from wandering eyes....not more than centimetres from where it was.

Big Grin Oh, and by the way....IT WAS BIBRA BOYS 150TH FIND!! Big Grin

Took: Geocacing sticker

Left: Dockers and various other good cache log type stickers.

29-Jan-06
Finished finding the clues missed the last time and found the cache without any trouble.

However it was found floating and had water inside the container. The things inside the bags were OK but the couple of stickers not in bags are a bit damp still. I dried the container and put it back a bit further in so it wasn't directly on the water but this may make it too hard for anyone to find so perhaps it should be checked by the owner.

Thanks for the cache. No swaps.

Well the tide has finally gone out far enough for

"CITY STICKERS"

to be replaced Smile
We've checked that all the clues are in place,
Have fun and happy hunting,
Team Beachbums

Tides still in Sad tried to relocate unsuccesfully but we have another idea, stay tuned.
Cheers, Wayne and Jan

06-Aug-05
Third time here.... still no cache at the co-0rd we got from the clues, nothing left to do but give Team Beacbums a call! They arrived at GZ within minutes and we found the cache but would NEVER have located it without them! Logged in the book and I think the cache will be place in a slightly drier position!!!

Thanks Team Beachbums!

06-Aug-05
Went over to check this one out after Comdeck contacted us. The "tide" had certainly come in!! We didn't think the water level would ever get up to the cache site and we imagine any who did it in the summer would be surprised too. We will have it back online quickly in the same Co-ords, just need a little camoflage for the new "higher" spot
Thanks to Comdeck and good to meet you Smile
Cheers, Wayne and Jan

30-Jul-05
Kids had a great time finding all the clues and after a picnic lunch went looking for the cache. Coordinates lead us to a likely looking spot but after searching for a long while we couldn't find the cache Surprised(

Will return another day for a fresh look at GZ.

10-Jul-05
Couldn't find one of the clues so will have to come back another day to complete it.

25-Apr-05
After a longish wait, we finally found time to come down in search again. Found after a short search. T: Aussie Army TB, L: a couple of stickers, SL. Thanks Team Beachbums for a great cache in a great spot.

Absolutely gorgeous park.. and we had it to ourselves..
We came back again some days later with some family just to enjoy the area.
We really loved doing this cache even though the clues are rather random.
Found the cache OK, TNLN.
Thanks for setting this one,
The Coastway Cruisers.

Had a great couple of hours solving and then finding the cache. Have been to this park several times but this is the most fun I have had there. For others heading there don't forget the bread for the feathered inhabitants. Took stickers, left stickers.

06-Mar-05
Made a detour to finish it whilst on way to Silver Sands for weekend with family friends. Luckily there were no muggles in sight and they were at lunch break, when the final cache was found. It was a good fun for all family and has a BBQ afterward. T: sticker; L: sticker, calling card and TB Aussie Army. Thanks for the cache, Team Beachbums.

02-Mar-05
Great news to see that its still in place. Next time we will bring a torch and find it. The dark beat us last time.

02-Mar-05
We went and checked the cache out and it's still in place. Smile) We enjoyed having a read of the log book entries ( first time we've done this part ) Looking forward to reading some more of them.
Cheers, Team Beachbums

28-Feb-05
Well looks like we might have been muggled. Three people haven't found this cache now so I will disable it until I can check and replace it if needed. Should be back up on Thursday.
Cheers all

26-Feb-05
We ran out of time and light. We think we were in the right place but were'nt willing to put our hands and fingers in the hidey places to check them. Sometime in the future we will get back and have another go at finishing the cache.

08-Feb-05
Hi Wayne,
Found your cache today. Had fun deciphering the clues but that Federation tree was hard to find. Didn't have anything on me to leave so I didn't take any thing.

Cheers Brisey

Hi Team Kaos (bretts) WinkGlad to see you found it after all. No doubt we'll be seeing a bit more of you guys now.

25-Jan-05
This park is full of muggles ... who told them where to find it?
Great area for bird watchers there are hundreds of 'em.
We followed the clues and strangly enough they led us to the cache. Stealth is required as the attributes above tell you the area is exposed so be careful not to draw attention to yourself and the cache.
Kids will love the park and dogs will as Gizmo highly recommends it.
Took - Pooh Stickers
Left - Geocaching Australia bumpers stickers.
Thanx for the hunt Team Beachbums

24-Jan-05
Hi TLC wanna buy some batteries mike? lol

24-Jan-05
Go for it TLC Grab that cache, we cant see us getting there until at least the weekend. Its just too tempting to resist

24-Jan-05
Looks like no one wants it Wayne ... We've been patient waiting for them out of towners. Therese even took the batteries out of the GPS so I couldn't find the cache!
We'll wait a little longer but it's just getting too frustrating looking at that virgin mocking us. Wink

22-Jan-05
We're picking a close run race between Team Landcruiser and Team Wombat to be FTF for this one Smile Could someone else beat them to it? How about it Varunna? We'll have to wait and see!
Cheers, Wayne and Jan
