WP1 easy enough. A 500m walk to WP2, where we had trouble finding those numbers.
GZ was an interesting scramble down to a creek. Coords were very accurate considering the terrain, and the cache found fairly quickly. A very nice multi. Thank you SWAG It.

Found at last! Took a while to find at GZ, with jumpy GPS, even with a PAF confirming I was in the right place. TFTC SWAG aft
In lockdown, decided to do this multi in our LGA for exercise. Got all the information required at WP 1 & 2, calculated then set off to find GZ, along the way scratched my arm on a stick. Onwards down I go. Then read the hint, decided I needed to go elsewhere to where I was standing. Looked around for a while and then spotted a container, signed the log took the trackable and replaced it. Thanks to SWAG aft.
a lovely walk around the Bypass, WP1 and WP2 located easily, WP3 however was a bit sketchy and slippery due to recent rain, will definitely be back for this one.
On a caching run in the Shire today with the aim of collecting some nearby adventure labs and caches in the area to fill in some gaps we still have for the Sutherland Shire Cachers’ Challenge. After working out our calculations we made our way to GZ and made a nice find. Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache.

Another cache i have always had my eye on but never found myself in the area that much. Today though, I swung by after work for a look. I had no trouble getting the required numbers at wp1 and was off to waypoint 2. A few minutes circling around and I had what I needed. At gz, I searched and searched and searched with no luck. I called in a paf and while I was waiting on an answer I rechecked my coordinates and to my surprise I was 15m out. A quick trek down to the new gz and the cache was spied instantly. I dropped off a trackable, thank you

I’ve watched this for ages, every time we passed the area we didn’t have much time and thought it would be much tougher than it turned out to be !
Maybe we just got lucky, we quickly grabbed the number at WP1, spotted a likely looking access to WP2 and with a couple of minutes PDG had spotted 27.
Gz was a quick scramble, a few creek crossings to keep our feet dry, a squeeze past the fence and CIH
Logged another older cache and bagged some unloved days.

OCW the Bebes. After we got the details at WP 1 we headed off on foot to WP2. After a quick search we soon had the number opposite 27. A quick calc and off we went to Gz. Should of approached from the other side which is where we came out a lot quicker. Tftc
Log to follow.
With an up and coming trip on the horizon I am working on getting some old caches found and ticked off very soon, not only to fill my grid, but to tick off the ones that are within my reach and show up the ones I really need to focus on getting on my trip. So I'm busy compiling and sorting ready for the onslaught of those ancient gold containers. I can't believe how many are being archived - sad.

A reasonably quick find after getting some help with WP2. The hint made sense as I closed in on GZ. Thanks For The Cache, SWAG aft.
#2330 went to wp1 and got the information required to get to wp2 then decided to drive. I didn't know the area very well so it was a very bad idea. First time I was on the wrong side and didn't find a way to get across, in the end drove back to wp1 & walked far better and got my steps up. Found the details there rather quickly and details calculated for GZ. After all the rain we had been having it wasn't a great place being muddy & slippery. But found the cache without too much trouble
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache SWAG aft

Awesome cache, but quite tricky, especially the hide itself. Took me quite a while to find the number 27 at WP2. Once I did, it was easy enough to cross the footpath. Took me ages to find the cache itself because I was thinking the hint meant on the other side of the path fence which would have been quite obvious given where GZ was. Once it clicked that it was the fence near GZ, I had to figure out a way to climb it. Fortunately there was a spot where it was easy to get under. Still took me a little while longer once at GZ due to all the fallen plant matter. After a bit of digging, I came up with the find and it is still in great condition. Awesome adventure. TFTC
Spur of the moment day out for myself, Bonfire and seaker had us heading to a concentrated area with a powertrail but after that was cut short (due to a police directive to move along), we decided to attempt what looked like a simple multi. Took a bit longer at GZ itself that had us questioning our sums but eventually persistence paid off and I got some unfound time towards another challenge.
An enjoyable multi that didnt take us too long to complete,Quickly found WP1,was a nice walk up to WP2 all hidden away up there then we were a little confussed with our final location being so over grown but once the gps settled and I did a bit of scraping back we soon found the cache, you bewty !!

Needing a multi for my streak and challenge, plus the unloved days for another challenge. This one fitted the bill very nicely.
WP1 was nice and easy, WP2 was a little hunting. Then came GZ, with 9mths of vegetation and fallen pine needles. This entire cache took me almost 2hrs. But perseverance pays off with a good size cache find.

OCW Mrs A to grab a souvenir for this weekend.
Arrived at WP1 and got the info and walked to WP2. Once again an area we have not visited before but passed many times in the car. A pleasant stroll along the pathway got us to WP2 where we located further info without too much trouble. Arrived at GZ and spent sometime looking around. I thought we many be in the wrong place because it is located close to a watercourse. However perseverance paid off and we were rewarded with a find. TNLN, SL. TFTC SWAG aft.

Grabbed WP1 info on a very wet Sunday arvo so decided to wait until today when weather improved.
At WP2 soon found "27" and the number to finish this off.
Made my way to GZ as sun was setting and with lots of fallen branches and trees managed to scramble my way and soon found the hide. Despite lots of recent rain all was good with the container. It needed a new pen so I replaced it. Took a geocoin but not the one in the inventory. The ones missing? But made some sawps.
Thanks for bringing me to another place I wasn't aware about. TFTC. Brewmaker

#2685 (1 of 5 today) (Streak day 272)
Happy Valentines Day
Dinner with friends in the Shire tonight, after a few false starts over the last few weeks. So, as usual, arrived in the area early to grab a few caches.
Decided on a multi (the quality of old multis in the Shire really is excellent) and then whatever else I could fit in around Gymea / Grays Point.
Got three with a few DNFs and a DNAttempt.
After dinner grabbed two more by torchlight.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Started with this multi. I remember how much easier it made getting to my friends when the bypass was completed. I've been coming here regularly for decades...
Parked just north of the first waypoint, grabbed the info and made my way to the second waypoint on foot.
Easy find of the required info here, and so I had coordinates for GZ. Looks plausible.
Found a way to get there, but the ground was covered in leaf litter making it dodgy underfoot, especially on slopes and rocks.
After only one slip, I zeroed in on the cache and with excellent coordinates I had CIH in only a minute or two - logical spot.
Confirmed I was the first here in many months - lots of unloved days to add to my total - and completed signing duties.
Replaced and made my way back out - slightly easier route taken.

Got to the right location ( I think so anyway) but could not locate the cache. Lots of overgrowth and limited time did not help.... Maybe another day. TFTC We did enjoy walking the area.
After reading the wrong number at wp2 the other day, returned to what I should have realised was the correct spot anyway.
Lots of trees down and thick vines near GZ, definitely not a T2 today!

It had been a while since I last attempted this cache. While I still had the calculated waypoint for gz in my gps, I visited the other waypoints again just to make sure they were right.
Now back down there, lit with only my torch and a thousand spider eyes reflecting back.
I found wlquite a few possible places yet no find made.
Then while moving over there, I considered something else. Made my way over and still nothing.
Here I resorted to a paf, and found out that I was standing on top of it!
Thanks for the cache.

The GPS was going crazy at GZ today under a heavy sky, so will be back on a clear day hoping to have better results.
After an annoying DNF nearby, I had only really intended to pick up the WP clues on my way back home but the hunt got the better of me. WP 2 was clever and the final destination had me intrigued. I had to plunge in and look. The further I went I thought, "this can't be right". However, the coordinates & clue proved true. There it was in very good condition. Thanks SWAG aft. Lifted my spirits after a DNF
I didn't expect to find GZ there!?! Another long search, but successful.

It was a pretty fun and exiting find. I found it with my friend Dafinchy. The clues were pretty easy. it was my first multi-cache because i only signed up a few days ago. This was AWESOME!!!!
This is my first multi-cache I have found so far! The waypoints were easy to find but took a while to find the cache itself! I found it with my friend Camcoman10. I left 2 trackables that are to be together, (you will realise what i mean if you find them) TFTC!
Attempted this mourning and for some reason everything fell into place. A multi without a find for over 13 months had me thinking it may not be here but quite the opposite.
Parked at WP1, returned to vehicle to punch in coords. Realised within walking distance, left the car and followed the arrow to WP2.
This was a bit tricky but eventually sighted, again off to GZ.
The hint made sense here, and surprised in being a quick find.
All contents dry and well and returned for the next cacher. SL Thanks SWAG aft.

I started this one last week visiting WP1 and incorrectly doing the maths for WP2. I know it's not hard but I did something wrong. The coords put me in the middle of the bypass! Today I tried again and after found 2 single digit numbers by the number 27 one of them was written out as a word and the other in numeral form. Luckily out of my 2 options, I tried the one I thought was most likely first and after a short search on both sides of the fence I had the cache in hand. Left a TB here as it is unlikely to be muggled here! Nice, straightforward multi. TFTC SWAG aft.
TFTC,
I ran out of time when I started this search last week and had to make another effort when passing again. Visited with a group of trackables taking in the experience of visiting local Caches.

This one had been haunting me (and ManKingdom) for quite a while but with the final co-ordinates in hand, we set off in the rain to find the cache.
A bit of fence jumping and rock jumping/slipping later, the cache was in hand.
Well hidden and a lot of fun.

Wp2 was a little challenging. And took me some time to locate the 27.
GZ was fun, but the rain had set in and that was the adventure. Great, well thoughtout cache. Thanks

Found with geofamily (the neighbs) before setting up a new username so I could use app on phone.
A relatively easy find after 10 minutes of being mislead by a confused GPS. The road over the bypass would have been handy if regular vehicles (other than buses) were allowed through. All in all, an enjoyable cache. Took nothing, left travel bug.

Well, this took me a couple of attempts, the first time I got to GZ ok, but did not find the prize.
WP1 - what on earth is the RTA/Council doing - a bridge with a road through to save local traffic going the long way around to get to the shops, but only buses can use it? - typical !!
Anyway, today I read more logs before leaving home, and at least knew what the "muddy diver photo" was this time (the GPSr only shows 5 logs, whch sometimes is a negative).
Having walked to WP2 & 3 from #1 last time, I drove to WP2 this time (could not work out how to drive closer to GZ in time). Once I got to GZ, I recalled the picture (which was of course still on the PC at home, I had forgotten to load it onto the GPSr) and became aware where I really needed to be, as I was still a couple of metres too near to WP2. Having made the logical jump, I found the cache within a minute.
Previously the clue had confused my logic as one really meant two, anyway, TNLN and was gald to tick off another multi in this area.
Thanks - did not know this patch was here.

did all the maths yesterday and found the final coordinates but the iphone wasn't accurate enough to find this one but after purchasing my shiny new gps this morning it didnt take me long to find my second multicache
Our second visit and this time we found it! After all the heavy rain the place was very slippery and I didn't remain upright all the time, but all's good. Not wanting to slip over again, a phone-a-friend was made to send me the 'muddy diver' photo to confirm the caches whereabouts but I ended up finding the cache before the message came through anyway. Was so close last time. Can't believe we missed it!

This one has been a work in progeess for some time . I see that I posted a note way back on May 26 2007 saying how I had got the starting info...
Anyway, never seemed to get around to completing this one- managed to nut out a GZ and then had a brief look a few weeks ago with the morning dew attaching to the work clothes!
Today, armed with a printout of the 'Muddy Diver' photo, the cache was in had fairly quickly. Another multi around these parts off the list. TFTC!

Not sure what went on here but we really struggled to find this one this afternoon. It was getting late so time was of the essence and the GPS was jumping all over the place at GZ. Unfortunately we'd left the mobiles in the car so phone-a-friend wasn't an option and after 20 mins we had to quit. We will be back though! And now, after reading previous logs, we reckon we know where to concentrate our search.
First started this one in July 2007, with WP3 my last uncompleted step. Finally got around to it today, with a couple of the kids to assist. It's quite a good feeling to finish this, the cache was easy to find, with the coords very close.

Decided to leave the car at WP1 and walk the WP's. Got a little confused as to which 'srapr' was referred to in the hints. Just as I got to GZ, I got slashed on the finger by a nasty bush nearby and bled profusely. Found the cache quite quickly and tried not to bleed over the log LOL.

Took the entire Team Beechmere (me, A13, M8), plus guest searcher JD9. We approached the final waypoint from the backside of the fence, which took us about 30 minutes! We then spent another 30 minutes unsucessfully looking for the cache before calling it a day (it was almost 6pm).
If we'd known about the fence "doorway", we would have tackled it from the bypass side and saved ourselves lots of scratches!

After finding WP1 and WP2 a few weeks back and searching the area high and low for an hour or more with Taje00.. We had to contact Swag aft to see if it was still there, to my disapointment it was..

Found a bit of spare time, so we decided to duck out for a couple of caches. We actually started this a couple of weeks ago, but ended up messing something up somewhere along the line.
Anyway, was a good little multi with a nice little hidey spot for the final cache. The scramble down the hillside was a bit of a tangle, but not too bad. Tried to find this late yesterday too, but failed then. The maths were easy in the end & the photo by Muddy Diver was a big help.
Took Nothing, Left Nothing.
Left the King Borea's 10o0th Hide Geocoin after hanging on to it for a bit too long - Many apologies SantoriniRendezvous.

Found a bit of spare time, so we decided to duck out for a couple of caches. We actually started this a couple of weeks ago, but ended up messing something up somewhere along the line.

I use this road everytime I go to the beach. On my way for a surf so just had to finish this cache. The coords were spot on, especially for the first 2 waypoints. Wpt 2 was a nice little surprise. The final cache location had the GPS doing some strange things. Thanks for the hint Swag Aft, I was looking in the right spot after all, just not closely enough. Cache is in good condition, high and dry!
Sat in the shade for a while and read the logs. It was a hot day!
Took the TB which has been patiently waiting for the last 7-8 months.

WP1 Quick easy find. Pretended to be a bus and were a bit naughty. WP2 & Cache, quick easy find. TNLN.
Got it, after working out the road restrictions we managed to knab the cache. Did my swaps and was on my way. Thanks for the hunt.
Found this with Sc00t, was great cache and a excellent way to spend an April day.
Sorry for the late log.

Last one for the day, with the thought of KFC driving us on. We found the first 2 WP easily but got the numbers wrong for GZ, this had us over the other side of the big green fence...however we did enjoy the drive through a very tightly packed part of Bangor. We eventually headed back to WP2 and had another go, this time with a better result. Found GZ, then the cache, all is good.
Twisties went for a 'Dark Tunnel' adventure then we were off for some food.
Thanks

WP's 1 & 2 found easy. At GZ my partners in crime gave up but I perservered and found it in the end.
Nice walk .

Found WP's 1 & 2 easily. WP3 was found fairly quickly although I think I may have appraoched it the harder way. Thanks SWAG aft for an interesting multi.

The area is certainly changing we can remember when the only things out this part of the world were the tip, the bomb factory and that lonely old servo.
Must have been number blind! wrong maths (failed to add) at WP3 led Colin and I to an open spot where we met some youngsters searching for insects. Having checked the numbers and returned to a much more Cache..ish type area we found it.Took sunglasses case and left Padlock. Thanks Swag Aft.
We failed at the final WP, but were very impressed as we followed the tarmac to Sutherland.
I was just "passing by" in the morning so how could I resist...
I ran out of time at WP3 after a bit of searching. Came back in the afternoon with a storm approaching and just as I found the cache the rain started to bucket down. Problem: how was I going to log the cache without it getting soaked? Ah, of course, in the tunnel!

Best advice for this one...go with the clues and use the force...GZ for me was very close to those 2 big ones! Took the linear bearing and left something in its place.
Nice to see this road open at last. It should make the trip through here much quicker.
WP2 gave me the most trouble when trying to find the number. Once it was found the cache turned up pretty quickly.
Took Earpiece. Left Linear Bearing I found in a cache in San Diego last week.
Took TB.
Wouldn't have known about this walkway but for this.
Thanks aft.

After contacting the helpline I took another try. Still no luck. After getting more hints I realised that my GPSr was pointing me to everywhere except where the cache actually was.
Returned today and found the cache within seconds. My GPSr was still saying I was 20m away but by the time I left it had settled down to a more acceptable 12m (10m accuracy).
Took poppers, left TB

WP1 fell easily, as did WP2. But when I got to GZ my GPSr went crazy. Was it the cloud cover, or the overhead power lines? Whatever it was it had me searching an area with a 50m radius. I gave up in despair after an hour.
I'll be back.
