I went and had a look today at the cache. I didn't find any glass or rubbish in or around the cache but i did see some in near by areas. I've removed the cache for the time being as the log book was a little damp.

Quick note to anyone looking for this: I DNF cache, but was a bit wary of looking too hard. You should be aware of a lot of broken glass and rubbish in amongst the garden beds near where the cache should be, thanks to the parks "late night inhabitants" drinking habits. Be VERY careful shoving your hands in amongst the bushes when searching...I had a couple of close calls.
The council has been there lately having a bit of a cleanup, so things might improve soon. I'd still be careful.
Thanks. Lovely park.

We think we know what we are looking for, but if the coordinate is accurate, GZ is covered by thick prickly asparagus fern. No way we were going to go poking around in there without gloves!
Scratched around GZ on dusk...but alas no cigar! Maybe next time. Cheers, Rav 4 Raiders
[I spent about half an hour looking in likely spots around Ground Zero and then slowly moved outwards. There were heaps of little natural hidey holes in the area for a micro but I was probably thinking a bit too small. Eventually gave it that - 'right, I'm going to just go hard at Ground Zero' and there it was. It pays to think very carefully about the clues given.] The container was quite well hidden by the foliage so it certainly doesn't stick out and requires a bit of gardening to find. [Very cleverly hidden container and a real buzz to find it without having to come back another day. TFTC SL.]
It's still there. I don't know why people are having such a hard time finding it

Searched all over the GZ for this one and came up empty handed. Had to leave when muggles started arriving to check out the fountain. Better luck next time.
No luck here. Tried a coouple of times about a week ago, but is was like 'muggle central'. Got quite a good go today, but did not come up with the goods. Might have to wait until it 'exposes' itself.
Searched and searched and searched. Tried every possible location I could think of, but alas, I was outwitted. Will try again another day with a few more brains and pairs of eyes.
Had originally intended to drop in to discover the coin in residence, but struggled to find the cache. Eventually located it so grabbed coin for my troubles.
thanks Dooghan...

Well....we have stopped here a few times here in the past on our way home having a look without a GPS, this time we had a bit more time up our sleeves and we had the GPS with us.
And FINNNALY...AT LAST, we found it, had an idea what it was, just...as the say...couldn't see the trees for the leaves, its sticks out like a sore thumb now we know where it is.
Thanks Doog's

We did try hard but didn't find. and there was freaky guy in the park so didn't want to go near him...
I spent a long time looking and looking. Part of the time was looking over my shoulder as there was a large group of drunks nearby. Eventually I was rewarded with the find.
Congratulations on having a great cache.

Found with deathtrip & KD6DUN,
Nice cache, great hide, good conversation, what else do you need.
Thanks.

Found with Jimw83 and KD6DUN at 2:40pm. Try to do this one earlier in the day but there were a few muggles around so we came back later. This turned out to be great because Jimw83 and I ran into another Geocacher KD6DUN. Just earlier in the day Jimw83 and I were talking about how we never seem to run into other cachers and as fate would have it...we did! We ended up having a very interesting hour or so conversation with KD6DUN. The cache container itself was a very creative and again just earlier in the day, Jimw83 and I mentioned that cache like this would be very sneaky. We had a very big chuckle at all of this.
Thanks,
Deathtrip

I came here a few times before, but there were always muggles around. I came Saturday just after a bit of rain. I waited for some muggle to leave the area and I proceeded to search the vicinity and do a bit of CITO. Much to my surprise I was caught searching by two young men, who I was pleased to find out were cacher. jimw83 (fellow amateur radio operator) and deathtrip. We had a nice conversation and waited for more muggels to leave. I was just asking them if they had ever seen this type of cache here in AS, when deathtrip found cache. Quite ironic. Nice hide. SL. Thanks very much for the cache, and thanks to jimw83 and deathtrip for the nice visit. Hope to see and hear from you again.

Very tricky, we felt we knew what we were looking for, it was just a case of finding it. No one around this early Sunday morning which made searching easier. We enjoyed looking around the area. Thanks Dooghan and Family
Friday 13th ended up not being a day for bad luck as we found this cache after a short search. I just happen to bend down to tie my shoelace when "what's that?, oh its just a ????, oh crap". It almost hit me in the face when it flew out... hahaha. very sneaky indeed.
Found at last. This time was well exposed, not in this spot last time I looked, but found anyway
Finally found it during a break at the Capricorn Cachers Meet and Greet Event, though it still took 4 attempts today due to muggles yet again
Knocked this nemisis off my list, though i suspect that it was easy to find today due to its exposed nature ......wasn't like that last time
Thanks Dooghan and Family for the hunt and the chance to check out this area,,,,wouldn't have done this cache several years ago

There's a story to this find. My friend Daniel (danthan) took me geocaching for my first time back in 2006 and introduced me to it. I didn't have a GPS so never signed up, however with my wife created an account in 2011 when we realised our iphones had GPS units in them. (of course we since have bought a real GPS unit)
However just today I remembered that day of caching and went to find the caches that I found with danthan on that day... and this one was our very first. Initially I was thinking I couldn't log a find on a disabled cache, but hey you can, so I am.
Thanks Dooghan for this cache even though its gone... i remember the container and everything because it was my very first cache find.

Brilliant cache. Was our very first to find. We were a little stumped at first, but tried walking to the exact cordinates again and there it was right under my gps.
Thanks for a great cache,

Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrhhh......went to find it yet again, and a muggle was camped nearby watching me. With a staring competition lost, i had to depart empty-handed yet again.
I will never find this one!

We know exactly where it is, but getting to it without muggles becomes another game. Better luck next visit
Found the cache at 8.50am. Gee!!! Good one hide spot... Lovely park... SL Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
A reasonably easy one, for a devious mind like mine. It seems such minds think alike. After resolving the conflict between the GPS and Google Earth, with the GPS winning, a 5 minute search proved successful, with the log was signed.

I searched for this yesterday arvo in front of some locals. No luck. But being a determined geocacher I was back bright and early this morning. Aaahh sweet success after only another half hour

We were in Rockhampton for a rowing regatta so while Jonno was left to do his teambuilding at the ten-pin bowling, we sneaked off to go geocaching.
Thought this one would be easy, but no, all we got were scratched hands and puzzle lines on our brows. The problem was, there were quite a steady stream of muggles and its a bit hard to casually trample council flower beds without incurring strange looks.
Guess we'll have to tackle this one again next time we're in Rockhampton...

Joe Possum found this one just on dusk; on second attempt and some head scratching in the interim. Someone had put detergent in the fountain. It was foaming rather vigorously but no rainbow to be seen even at 6pm. A clever hide thanks Dooghan and Family.
We spent more than 12 hour looking with our kids and could not 'crack' this one.
Maybe when we are in QLD again ... not sure when!

Fantastic hidey spot. No body around so was able to really have a good look for it. Found after about 15mins.
Found it together with tdussa on our trip to Australia. See Toby's log for details.

Great cache! Very neat hide. Took us about 30 minutes to find. The final victory was all the sweeter.
No trade.

2nd attempt - feeling lucky after doing Bouldercombe - very clever Dooghans' - very clever
Thought we would have a quick stop and see if we could find this cahce on our way home. We had to stop looking at one stage as a few council workers arrived but alas after they left we still come up empty handed. Hopefully we will find this one when we have a bit more time to look around.
We were going to try and do this one on our way back from Mackay to Brisbane, but just as we got close to GZ an aspiring Speilberg showed up with his mates on skateboards and started filming them jumping off the steps nearby...we had no hope of being able to grab the cache, so will have to leave it until next time we are up this way.
Sitting in the right spot but couldn't find it for looking!!!!!!! Spent half and hour trying.
Happy New Year! Visiting from the Atherton Tablelands. Absolutely tickled pink that we found this one. Brilliant!
Iwas up this way for a family reunion back in June and never actually logged my find. Found in company with The Garner Family around lunchtime.Hardly anyone around at the time so made searching without suspicion a little easier. Clever hide - thanks for the cache Dooghan.
Found, but only with a friend that had found it before. I was always looking in the right place but I didn't thing it was what it was. Awesome hide !!!
This was slightly frustrating to begin with. Thought my GPSR was off to begin with. Then I believed the readings I was getting and found the prize. What a great idea. Thanks for the hunt!
We thought we knew what to look for before arriving at the cache site, but still had to hunt. Great cache, we've placed a similar one back home recently.
Was a quick diversion on the way through town. Muggles were sitting near the fountain enjoying a picnic but we tracked down GZ and sat there and thought what we needed to do next.
In the end we backtracked after resorting to the hint. GeoBrett actually grabbed it and said "I found it". I was hoping he had or we had a little work to do to make things right again. He does say "I found it" a lot. Pity the finds weren't as many as the times he has said that.
Very clever. Signed logged and returned. Thanks.

Tried to find this one with no luck. Looked everywhere, icluding manholes. Would like a little extra help to find this one.
Went looking for this one while passing through on the way to Heron Island.
I'm guessing that this cache is easier in the day time!
There are some decent sized holes in the garden bed at various intervals, which made me wonder what dug them and what was infact living in these holes.
Decided that discretion was the better part of valour and abandoned the search.
I really hate to say that it beat us... THIS TIME...
We enjoyed our time searching around and needed to stretch legs after the flight from Sydney.
Our two muggle accomplices still think that we were making it all up as an excuse to see them on hands and knees digging in a garden in the middle of the night! Hehehe
Thanks for the hunt! We'll bag it next time we're passing through!

This was my first of several Dooghan caches this weekend and I must say I was very impressed with the quality of the caches. Found this with with Geoforce5 at 12:00pm. Took about 10 minutes to find and was made a bit easier by the fact that I'd completed a similar cache previously. Nonetheless a great spot and a classic cache... should stump a lot of people on their way through Rocky.
The first find of this cache by Maski and the junior caches on 24/5/2005 at about 1.30pm
What great excitement in finding this ingenious cache
I have to take my hat off to the Dooghan family for their great enthusiasm for cacheing and providing us the seekers with so much enjoyment
A great site selected for out-of-towners but I might tend to increase the difficulty somewhat ha ha ha
Thanks Dooghans

Great cache, better be there like you said Worth a drop in to try on a trip through Rockhampton.
Thanks Dooghan and Family

Went hunting again at 13:10 with 5 kids to help me but still didn't find it. I am not giving up. I will try again in my lunch hour - 27/04/2005. A friend found it and to keep looking and I will kick myself when I do find it. This is a great Geocache being so close to my home.
Went hunting at 14:30 today during my luch hour. I had a fish burger for lunch on 1 of the seats. All I could find was a yellow plastic lid with no bottle that looks about the size of a medical specimen bottle but that is not it as I have been informed recently. Not many Muggles around at the time because of school almost out. Will have to look again some other time. Regards, Jas.
