Lovely walk to find the cache. Walked past the fish shop to see some nice fresh fish.
#4492Holiday in NZToday we're in the area of MangonuiHad a great walk in this townTFTC
On a caching journey up to the north with Supernannny and Net61 to find some caches. Many kilometres were driven over a few days and many caches were found. Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements. Heading to Manganui fish shop for dinner, we stopped to find a few caches on our way.this was our last cache before dinner and was a nice quick find. We added some log paper to the cache, before having a rest on the seat to admire the views. TFTM
A quick off set multi ...Net61 soon had her hands on it!Thanks Nalawod .Great views....
What a beautiful view from nearby. A quick find but the log seems to be missing and we had nothing on us to make one. TFTC
After a while we could find it but the paper is very wet and I don't know how someone with a pushchair should reach it.T.f.t.C.
Today was a lazy day. We do a little way in this little town and found you. Best wishes from germany and thanks for the cache.
Currently on a Northland road trip and picking up a few caches along the way. We were walking around the Historic ALC and realised that this was on the way - how convenient! Great spot, TFTC
Quick and easy find. The logbook is missing. We put a replacement paper, but I think it will be wet soon. Tftc
Nice path away from the busy road. Tftc
Next cacher; please bring a towel to dry the cache and a spare log

No items in the container so we left a few. The log is very we though. Lovely spot!
A nice easy find once we found 18m. Lovely spot, thanks for taking me on this trail that I wouldn’t have otherwise come on. Very loud with all the insects too. Thanks!
We passed the day north of Paihia. First in Kerikeri and then in Mangonui. We were lucky with the weather, sun shine the whole day.
Passed here while doing the Lab cache. Nice view from up here.
Thank you for the cache

I am out on a geocaching trip with JDScout We're walking around doing the Lab Cache. This easy multi was sites by JD first. Once again he didn't say him infamous quote.
First find today.
We started the day with a DNF, but this was a quick find not long after.
Nice view of across the bay.
TFTC nalawod.
Day 11 of our Northland trip, and today was Paihia to Whatuwhiwhi.
A couple of stops in Kerikeri on the way up for supplies and other shopping, and also to check out the Rainbow Falls, which we missed on the first time through the town.
Then it was north to Mangonui, the main stop on our trip for the day.
We spent some time here, and enjoyed it. Knocked off the Adventure Lab, picked off another few choice caches also, as well as the bonus.
We had lunch of fish and chips over the water at the fish shop (guess you have to tick that one off), and had some successful shopping for RG72.
Then it was off to the Karikari peninsular for our accomodation for the next couple of nights. The place looks great!
Thanks all COs for hiding and maintaining.

I drove over to Mangonui from Taipa to claim the GeoTour cache; I enjoyed Heritage Walk t find the Ad Lab series and this cache was on the way.
The cache was in broad daylight & the log was gone; I put a replacement strip log in, all that I had with me. and put the cache in a slightly more discrete place (less that 0.5m from where I found it).
Thanks for this cache, nalawod.

A quick walk up the hill from the Police Station. Parked my MH outside on a Sunday fingers crossed that's OK just for 15min. Such a lovely view from this way point I could stay longer. The last Mangonui cache for me to find. The town is full of
My favorite type of multi!
An easy one!
Easy to projet the coords and found it without much issue!
Thanks for keep this older cache alive!

One of several caches located between Kerikeri and Tokerau Beach today, with a stop in Mangonui to do the Adventure Lab cache(s) and pick up two or three others. This was a reasonably quick find because it was more exposed than it should’ve been. Hid it better after signing the logbook. Great views from here! #4646. TFTC.
Cache 26 of 40
Great spot just off the track after having a photo at the seat. Enjoyed grabbing this while on our Adventure Lab mission.
To celebrate my 40th Birthday (which was during lockdown) with Yvettetb we are trying to find 40 caches on our 40 hour adventure. We started this morning at 8am in Russell and heading North to Coopers Beach via roadside caches & Mangonui. We love sudoku (the 1st one was easy, 2nd one was challenging) and learnt about KenKen to solve another puzzle. Ending today's adventure with the night in Paihia

I was back in my homeland of Northland for a week with AliGle, showing her some of the sights and finding the occasional geocache on our travels. Made a quick find of this multi cache while working on the Adventure Lab here. Great outlook from the seat here. TFTC!
On a Northland roadie with Vistra. Stunning viewpoint. Loving this part of NZ. TFTC
Heading up north with evilC for some adventures. Nice quick walk and search, TFTC!!
On our caching journey up to the north with EyeSpyBen to sort out a few more caches and a couple of series, many miles driven over many days and many caches found, not to many dnfs
but lovely weather, Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements

Staying at Coopers beach for the weekend the kids and I came out for a walk around town getting the multi, lab cache and Trads. Nice quick find here.

Been on a whirlwind trip up here to the far north from Tauranga. Been collecting mainly Geo tour caches and trying to stay on track and not deviate away from my plan. Staying in Monganui for the night so an early evening stroll took care of the area. Kept walking back and forward then the penny dropped!! Doh I had already walked this track doing the ad lab then it was a quick find. Cheers.
It would appear that the original cache has disappeared under the general debris flow from the hill. Rather than try to dig it out (and make the hide obvious) we have substituted a new cache at the same point. The cache description will be amended appropriately.
With the mega being postponed a plan was hatched for some of the Team SEAC crew to head north for some fun. Today was day 4 and after a big day yesterday we decided to make it a slower one, stay local to where we were staying and enjoy the area.
Wandered along the walkway and wandered round and round. With six pairs of eyes searching we were hopeful we would make the find but it was not to be unfortunately. Suspect it has gone walkabouts

Checked out all the obvious places but no luck. CO may want to check this one.
Out with Team SEAC on a long weekend raid of the upper north island. This was the fourth day of caching, and we cached around the Mangonui area. We hunted for quite a while with no luck. Suspect it has gone.
We returned thrice with no luck. We're leaving tomorrow so now we'll never know if it's really there. Greetings from Scotland and TFTC
Straightforward enough once we found the path. Convinced the kids they didn’t need any of the contents
Round the world trip Made it to New Zealand and will spend some days in the northland. Thanks for bringing up this cache!
Vielen Dank fürs legen und pflegen und beste Grüße aus Leipzig!
Thanks for hiding and many greetings from Leipzig/Germany!

FOUND!! Has log dating right back to 2014! No camera but a few swaps there, we added a lil something too.
Headed up north today to do the Kaitaia Fun Run. Luckily the worst of the grotty weather passed over whilst the prize giving was on and it was actually quite nice when I headed across here to Doubtless Bay. This is an awesome area that I have visited many times with family in my younger days and a pleasure to come back again today. I had never been for a walk along this path though, even though we used to walk from Mill Bay down to the wharf regularly.
After parking the cache mobile by the cop shop, headed off up the path in the dark. The GPS was still not being helpful, but the indicated GZ was quite obvious. From there, I used the manual pace it out guestimator and then commenced the search. The hint object was soon located and with it the cache, which was in surprisingly good condition, given it's age. Pleased to sign off on this oldie, as it fills a glaring hole in my Jasmer grid. TFTC

I stopped off in Mangonui on my drive to the Far North and had a walk around. As well as finding a few caches of course! I liked the little pathway and the history of it being the old road used until 1941. Cache was soon found as per the description. Thanks for placing
Continuing on with our tiki tour.
Today we went from Ohora Island to Mangonui, grabbing caches as we went.
instructions could be a little clearer to save confusion, cache eventually found though

The camera has obviously long gone, sadly. Great spot though! Neither of us knew this walk was here. Thanks for the cache!!
We are on vacation in New Zealand and of course we seek some caches.
Thanks for this one!

Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth .
I love it! [:X]
And still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored.
Day #2:
Staying at a great apartment right at the waterfront in Coopers Beach, the day called for a long, relaxing walk along the coastline ... Enjoying the great scenery and appreciating the nice geo-treasures in the area, just like this offset-multi:
A quick find, proving that even Germans are able to count to 18 [:o)]...
After 14 km’s of walking/climbing the day was my friend!
On top, the bio-season has turned from European winter to Kiwi-summer inside and the internal clock is now almost reset to NZ-time .
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing this cache and cheers from Germany!

Travelling from Kerikeri to Cape Reinga collecting caches along the way. Great views. TFTC
After being viscously attacked by giant mozzies we had given up hope when we spotted the obvious place tftc
The view has been white washed today. Everything is being washed clean ready for another day. Great little track. Snagged and tagged after a quick search. Cheers
Its Sunday - day nine -Kaikohe - Hokianga -Coopers Beach area with The Seagnoid and Zara today. Toby and William at Motor Doctors again!
Its another epic 3+ week geocaching adventure with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and Willam to the Far North. What an amazing place to explore. Lots of walks, gravel roads and sand. Lots of amazing trees, beaches and interesting POIs. Lots of kilometers traveled by vehicle and foot. Vehicle breakdowns, making new friends and catching up with old friends and family. Snagged a couple of FTF's, lots of lonely caches and the odd event along the way. Lots of cache maintenance and replaced caches on this trip. But what an incredible adventure!!. Thanks to all the CO's who have made this trip so memorable..

Great view of the insides of clouds from here and the low tide. Wet clouds. I do the like the track though. Pretty when it's wet, everything washed clean, leaves glistening in the rain.
Day nine of an awesome, tiring, long, three week holiday geocaching with Taybeedragon in the upper north. Today it is Opononi to Cooper's Beach. The whole trip comprised of hours of walking on sand, sliding down sand dunes, hundreds of kilometres of unsealed roads, car breakdowns, paddling out to islands, lighthouses, dolphins, goats, events, FTFs, weird boulders. You name it, we saw it. Lots of bisons, lots of cache maintenance, lots of sunscreen. A month is enough. I am glad to be back home. Except that now I have to write up my trip. We averaged just 20 caches per day, but that is still a lot of logging!
Merry Christmas from the Seagnoid!

Nice multi. I wouldn't have known the track was there if it wasn't placed there. TFTM
Really pleased to have secured this one after a previous fail.
Took some time and then finally we trusted our GPS and there it was!

Doing some beach to beach hopping and looking for some caches today. Beautiful views from this heritage trail. Tftc
We headed out exploring Mangonui on the heritage trail which included this path. Spectacular view. TFTC
Stopped on my up to Kaitaia for work. Biggest challenge was finding a park. Quickly located, turns out my stepping out of 18m is pretty accurate . Had to stop and admire the view while a bunch of young muggles ran past before I could hide again. TFTC
Stopped here on our short tour of Northland. Had lunch and did short heritage walk picking up the odd cache.
Hey... this was a lot of fun, and got us out, in the rain to get a bit of exercise and to grab a few smileys. We were thrilled to see such an easy 'multi'... great for beginners, or seasoned cachers. Thanks for the bringing us here. We enjoyed the view!
Found with @naisnz. Took a while to cop to the path. the photos definitely help with final location. Left a love heart token. TFTC.
Found after a false start (hint: look out for Ray) with espressojoe. Left a heart token. Photos definitely help as considerable shrub growth around the area. Container has also changed - see photo.
Over from the UK with my wife, parents and daughters to celebrate my 50th birthday. We stayed with friends in Havelock North for Christmas. Now staying in Doubtless Bay.
Today the rest of the family went on a boat trip
To see the dolphins. I don’t like boats so I went caching instead.
I wasn’t sure whether the description meant 18 m up the path from the start of the path or 18 m further up from the listed coordinates . I decided it was most likely from the listed coordinates so I headed there first. I reached a location which was approximately 18 m from GZ and set about searching. I tried both sides of the path but found nothing. I returned to the bench and sat to look at some past logs and photos. One of the photos helped me Home in on GZ and then the cache was a quick find. However it has become a clip lockbox rather then the cylinder it originally was. TFTC

This was a long day of geocaching and driving, from Paihia to Cape Reinga and back. I started at 7.30am and came back 11.00pm. What a beautiful drive, I wish I had more time up here, I didn't know it was this beautiful. Lots of nice beaches, lots of trails to choose from and cute towns on the way.
About this cache:
This was a fun one. I should not have followed the geotrails in this search, I really got scratches all over me. The hide wasn't too hard, but in a way it was still a bit difficult to find it. Thanks for this nice multi

Not the smartest idea to search in pouring rain took me a while but found it at the end! Tftc cvitamin
This was a trickier find than we were hoping for after stopping for lunch at the world famous fish and chip shop! SL TNLN TFTC signed log as PBB to save space
29/01/17 - I like this kind of cache, a little more guesswork required instead of being glued to the phone. Thanks for the cache. Also loved the geocaching army man someone dropped off.
Easy once I found the track start point. Mangonui was packed and there was no parking on the foreshore. Luckily there was enough at the top. TFTC.
I do love a good offset multi and this one didn't disappoint. We wandered up the pretty little path and found the waypoint where we could sit and enjoy a look over the bay. While geowife took some photos I projected the waypoint and then we went off to look for it. It was exactly where it should have been so no problems finding. Dropped a toy soldier and headed back down the path to head off and do the virtual. Very nice offset, thanks for the cache.
Short trip down path to check, and, Yeah!, cache is good as gold. Just waiting on the next hunter. CAUTION: the 'object' which hides the cache is now behind a fresh spring growth of shrubbery, so some pushing aside of branches may be required (none sharp nor prickly, phew!).
#10913. After a late lunch on the waterfront, we found a round trip walk to do that took us past three caches. TFTC.
With the wet start to the day, we had a lazy start to the morning. After coffee, the rain seemed to have cleared so time to saddled up the geomobile and head out to Coopers Beach and surrounding areas for exploration and of course, caching. Thanks to all the COs for taking us to some fabulous locations.
We had walked down from St Andrews Church so after getting to the seat, realised we'd need to backtrack a little to get to the cache. I spotted a likely hiding spot but after not finding the cache, thought I should consult the hint. That's when I discovered I was a mere metre from the cache. Enjoyed the walk and the viewpoints from along here. Nice to find a 10 year old cache too. TFTC.
