We had to drive up and down the main road, trying to figure out the access to this one. Then we read the notes and realised we should take the airport road. The cache was a quick find, but by now really matches its title. I'm logging a few days late, so I see the owner has already archived this one.
Thanks

I thought the cache title a little self-denigrating when I saw it, until we read the description and got it. Then we found the cache and - sorry to say this - it was a bit crappy. It's a well rusted fruit tin that's now crushed and unable to be sealed in any way. The contents are in poor condition. It would be good to replace it.
We were glad there was no one at the air field. I'm sure someone might have been curious about our presence there had they seen us. Anyway, thanks for another cache.

The whole contents of this needs attending to, rusty and wet. We put our sticker on it and placed it back. TFTC
Barely touched it haha. Might need a new container. Whoever was here last didn't close the bag with the paper in it properly so didn't get to sign log.
This is crappy. In bad shape, rusty, mouldy, wet and surrounded by blackberries and a thorny shrub.
Container needs to be replaced big hole in bottom and it's a bit old and rusted. Nice hide! Tftc
The cache needs a complete make-over. Log book is sooo mouldy I'm sure its a biohazard. Also the rust is over everything as mentioned previously on dawsons creek. Holes in can so is no longer water proof.
difficult to find right road to get there, still not sure if I was on private property, as I had to jump a fence to get the cache. mouldy mouldy mouldy.
rogerw3 and I were stopped by a securely locked gate and a barbed wire fence, several hundred meters short of GZ.
The property -- Piper's Airfield -- appears to be owned by the Bathurst Soaring Club.
We checked for alternative access to the site, but had to conclude that it was private property.
Judging from the many other successful logs, the roadway to the airfield must be open at times.
A bit of a puzzle . . . but there were so many other caches to be found around Bathurst that we didn't worry and set off for other adventures.

Not found today with pjmpjm during our foray in the Bathurst area.
Not a DNF more of a DNL (Did Not Look) as we could not get on the private property of the local aero club. The track was gated and locked as was the other track further on.
Walking across the paddock was not an option due to the cattle grazing there.
Perhaps the CO should make a note that this can only be accessed when the club is operating.

Thanks so much for bringing us here & for all the enjoyable placements to find.

Day 4 of the geocaching month and desperate for a find!
The GPS was doing circles, but eventually I ended up in the right spot and retrieved the cache container. As mentioned in previous logs, the container is fairly rusty and the contents damp, but I was able to sign the log and continue on my way.
Thanks ScOOt for bringing me to this area. The airfield is actually named after an ancestor of mine who lived in nearby.

Easy find. The rusty tin is well camouflaged but unfortunately everything inside is getting soaked. Need to pick the right time as many muggles about. TFTC
Cache a bit wet. Left new log book as other too wet. This is our first cache with our grandkids. Took toy, left toy.
Had a good look around with Rogpol, but nothing could be found in the way of a cache.
Not too many people about this afternoon. Obviously not a good day for soaring.

Out on a weekend caching trip. Actually, we were supposed to be going to lunch with some friends on Sunday at Blackheath, But Black Bunny decided that we might as well make it a dual purpose trip. Of course, we cached all day Saturday, and on Sunday, and we were very nearly late for lunch. After that, of course, we had some caching to do, and a long drive back to Canberra. We made it by about 2300. A long weekend, but fruitful. Lunch was good, too.
There was nothing in least unsavoury about this cache - well, apart from feeling rather exposed whilst finding it. Those are funny little hangars, aren't they? I would never have thought of making a house for a glider in that shape, but I can see that it saves on materials. Thanks, Sc00t!

Out for a weekends caching towards Meadlow Bath where we were going to meet up with some muggle friends for lunch on Sunday. A quick find and a cache that did not live up to it's name. It did blend in so well with it's surroundings, unlike us who stood out like Shags today with all the activity at the field. SL Thanks Sc00t for the cache
Just when u start to expect all caches to be full of crap, one of them surprises you. Some nice swaps here! Great view too, on a snowy day like today.
The name says it all and although the walking blue blob was tempting, I had nothing to equal it. TFTC
Found this one while we were driving around to find a place to hide a new cache. Lots of stuff in here.
Found this cache at 2:45pm on a lovely sunny day while in Bathurst for a Morris vintage car rally. We were over at Abercrombie House Yesterday watching the plane take up the Gliders, little did we know that there was a cache near the airstripe. What a surprise to find so many of them there.
Nice easy find.
Took: Big Marble. Left: lots of new swaps.
Did maintanence for Sc00t.
Thanks Sc00t for the hide.

Found by Mary & David at 1340. What an amazing place. Have never seen so many metal birds nests! Must be a very popular sport around here. It would be great to see the place in full swing. Our thanks to Sc00t (Team Booya).
As we returned from Orange I spotted some Gliders in the sky and made a b-line for this one knowing the gates would be open. After doing the cache duties we sat and watched a few of the Gliders land and a take off. One of the members of the souring club came over and, after some chatting, he gave us a tour of the hangers and even a demonstration on how the Gliders operated whilst seated in one.
They have joy/introductory flights here in two seater Gliders at a reasonable price so a return visit might just be in order.

Found in the company of McPhan and Mrs Winglen. This area must be a hive of activity when there are thermals about - totally unexpected for what seemed like just another paddock in the distance. A quick find and away again.
A quick find in the morning as we made our way from Bathurst down to Blayney, McPhan, RexTrex and I. Amazing the huge number of gliders out here. TFTC!
1927. Being the owner of another Crappy Cache, I had to try this one. I was gobsmaked to see the colony of gliders out here. Never before have I witnessed such a meeting spot. I'm glad we got out before the queen returned.

Drive past this most days but when I've had time to stop it's been busy but at last a quiet day. easy find. TNLN TFTC
quick find, cache exposed but still blends in. SL, TFTC, geo daughter thought the stuff inside was great, convinced her otherwise. TNLN.
113 of 132 for the Bathurst Endurance event. Shared this one with Hoojar & Steeba. If you didnt know what was in the boxes you'd think it was something from outer space. Interesting to see how they open. Thanks for the hunt. TNLN
#119 of 143 for weekend with The Rats and Hoojar1ARC.
TFTC!

Tried this one but there was a muggle working on his toy near the cache that put us off.
Found it ! I am glad that my hobby is not as expensive as their's! The boy had heaps of fun to watch the gliders take off and land. Took toy plane and left a pair of scissors. SL TFTC

We where a bit apprehensive approaching this location as at our local airstrip they sic the dogs onto you if you even look in their direction. No one seemed to mind here and the only dog we saw was a beagle wearing flying goggles and a scarf, strange.
Muggles EVERYWHERE! Around and above!!!! Everywhere except where I wanted to go - Yay, TNLNSL, Thanks. Nice spot to visit and watch for a while.
Well, this cache was one of the more interesting ones I've done! First, I couldn't get any closer that 1km, and I didn't feel like traversing 1km of cow paddocks. Finally found a better way, only to be surprised by seeing about a dozen gliders on the field (very impressive)! Now, on to the cache... At first I was nervous, as some of the sheds were open, but it seems the owners were down on the field. Found the cache quickly. Took another look at all the gliders, including the ones in the air, and then left. My 55th of 63 finds for the Bathurst weekend. TNLN (who needs that crap ) thanks Sc00t.
Found this on our way home from 4WDing at Briar Station. We stopped to watch some action which we all enjoyed.
TN Left some tinsel we picked up at crappy cache 2.

First for the day and easy as. A few strange looks from people in the vicinity but no-one came close enough to bother us.
Went up the wrong road but quickly corrected and found our way in. There was a bit of action happening nearby, it's good fun, I've done it before. TNLN.
WASNT SURE ABOUT BEING OVER HERE MUGGLE WAS APPROACHING MADE THIS A QUICK LOG AND GOT OUT OF HERE
The gates were open so in we went. Drove around to determine the location for our hunt, then continued on to watch the nearby action. We headed towards the cache and found a track that would allow us to drive close to GZ. No-one was in sight so off we went, as we rounded the last shed we encountered three muggles who immediately all turned and gave us an inquiring look. We knew our chances of reaching the cache had dropped to zero. So we put on our best tourist look and stopped to chat. Although we could see GZ we were unable to search.
We arrived, saw where it was going to be, saw how many people were close and decided it was not worth the crap to draw attention to the cache. next Time perhaps.

Easily found - decided to take no crap and leave no crap. Thanks Team Booya.
Talk about crappy! Still, the kids found something they wanted so took some crappy stuff and left even more crappier stuff. Cheers.
Found it on the Bidgee Caching Bathurst Tour.

Sorry but I had no crap with me. Got some funny looks from the nearby birdlike muggles. Felt quite exposed. TNLNSL thanks
10pm. Don't you love it when caches appear right next to where you're staying. There was a hang gliding fly-in at the club field so I nabbed this one before heading for bed.
The description is apt. The photo is a spoiler - not that you need it. TNLN. Thanks guys.
