I go through this park everyday so it has been a process of elimination over a few days to find this one.
Thanks

Found it - 1st for the day with Ginnie69 as he closes in on a milestone find...
Took me a short search though a hint from previous finder helped quicken the procedure..

I have the urge to stop every time I drive past here but I have always chickened out before. Finally today I decided I couldn't let it beat me. I was obviously destined to find it today as there was a parking spot right nearby as well! If I wasn't so determined I probably would have given up as I simply couldn't find the thing. One final try yielded the cache. What a relief! Thanks wingaap.
Had a good look around with with the kids - no luck. This one appears to be a tricky one going by some of the comments to date. Site is on the way to the shops for us so we will continue to search.
I found myself driving very close to this one - so I thought I would try again. Today I had better luck! The cache is in good condition - but it did earn a new plastic bag. A very interesting area - I had a read of the information in the hut. TFTC wingaap
Came past on my way home but there were too many muggles and heaps of traffic, I will be back.
Well today was not my lucky day for this cache. I hunted high.. I hunted low... but it just did not come to hand for me. I certainly picked the right time for this one. Before 7am. I did find some very angry paper wasps (who would have thought they would get so angry coz you put your hand on them!) It got noticeably busier so I decided to bail on it. Shall try again next time. TFTH Wingaap
Back again and of course, as on last visits, muggles arrived just as we did. Loki scared them off with her fearsome halloween cape and we had the place to ourselves (as much as you can at this location). A quick search since we had ruled out many other spots on previous visits and the cache was in hand. Thanks wingaap.
This cache has been tormenting me for the last 5 years.
I was in the area and thought I would have another attempt at it.
This time I walked straight to the right spot and put my hand on it straight away.
No trouble retrieving it but while I was signing the log a council truck pulled up and 2 workers decided to do an inspection of the gardens. They walked past me ( no more that 2 m away) and I had to wait until they moved away and had their backs to me before I could quickly put it back in its spot.
I'm glad to get this off the "old cache" list.

This one was heaps of fun! Not knowing exactly where it was added to the thrill of the hunt. Definitely recommend doing it at night. Bring a torch, though! It's how I found it.
Took a short wander and a few quick checks of possible hides before I spotted it. Retrieval took a minute or two but otherwise very ncie cache and glad to knock it off. Cache Type #6/8 Today: Mystery. Cheers from Sydney!

Had nearly given up when we found this one. Left a glow in the dark lizard for the next searcher
Last one for today before heading home.
My geopartner and I were discussing where to find before out of the car.
Im the one who found it! Couldnt beleive it.. must be geopartner bring me good luck.

We threw this puzzle cache in with us after having a quick discussion on it b4 we left. It seemed we needed to see where it wozn't in order to see where it woz Mr Simia woz doubtful about finding this one right up until we got out of the car. He headed straight to the spot n scored the find nearly b4 Mrs Simia n I had made it into the park. He woz on a roll. That woz his second Wingaap in a row. Signed the log @ 11-16pm. Thanx Wingaap. I liked the novelty and the backward process of elimination of this one Keep up the good work
Find number two for the night.....after a necessary U-Turn and avoidance of a cache that looked scary up the road we came back here....we jumped out of the GeoMobile and headed the park area, Mr Simia headed straight to the cache (His cache detection skills were certainly running hot today ). We moved around to a more weather protected area to sign the logbook before heading having a quick wonder through the memorial park.
It is always nice to take a moment to remember those who have given so much to provide us with the country and freedoms we have today. After some reflection we headed back to the GeoMobile and on to the next cache.

dropped by to investigate what this one would be like. Seems to be a popular 'sitting and watching the traffic go past' spot. Didn't get a chance to look today due to number of muggles in the park themselves. If we can psyche ourselves up for this one, we will be back!
Found on a quick raid this morning. 1st Wingaap cache for the day and the 1st cache for the year. TFTC
at 13:14. Our GPSr put the GZ in the middle of a house half way between two possible parks but the description makes it clear which is the right one. Thanks again for another interesting cache search Wingaap.
Found it. I was pretty sure where it was when i first got to the park, but checked all other alternatives first. logged and was on my way
Well, lesson learnt here... Don't trust the Junior Gunnies to "search" the area... They had looked here on our previous visit but, didn't spot the container. I had a feeling it was here from the previous hunt and my suspicions were confirmed by Wingaap at a recent event. Nice quick find this morning. I was hoping to stock up on drugs but the shop over the road was not open for another half hour... Mmm, that's valuable caching time down the tube... Drugs can wait...
Cheers Wingaap.
Cheers Wingaap.
Had a quick look but even early on a Sunday morning it is a busy area. We will definately go back sometime when it is not so busy. Will now be thinking about possible hiding places
No joy for the Junior Gunnies and I this afternoon. We were in the area and figured it was worth a look. Armed with the "NOTs" we casually strolled around and looked in the "Must Be's"... Mmm, we obvioulsy missed the critical must be as we came up empty handed.
Noone in the park and traffic too fast and furious to evan care what we were up to, we had no trouble hunting. It was the lack of precise coords that caused the grief...
Sure we'll be back though.... Cheers Wingaap.

Had a spare hour this afternoon but no GPS. What to do - visit a few previosu DNFs. Unfortunately, just as successful as the first time. Till next time.
Came here today for Baroki Scout to find, but I hadnt re-read the cache page since I found the cache, and the great tall trees are gone... [:o]
Consequently the cache was not found as we were looking for something different...now we know what we're looking for, we'll be back.

A night time run on some of wingaap's hides. This was 1 of 5 and found with little difficulty. Nice hide. TFTC.

This was my third tyr for this one, the first time, it was daylight and too many muggles, the second, I had geotoddler crying with me, but I managed to narrow down where I should look.
When I ran into wingaap last he pretty much confirmed where to look , this evening on the way home from the shops, geotoddler was happy and falling asleep in my arms, but allowed me the use of one hand to grab the cache.
Very happy for the smiley face at this location.
Thanks wingaap.

it took us a few tries to find this one - in the end it needed a 2nd set of eyes. Sad to see the site of the original hide.
Amazing what is in that little patch of park

When the cat's away we all know what the little mouse does. With the boss out of town, noone will notice if I get back to the shed a few minutes late. So sneaked a sneaky cache into the day. Thanks Wingy
Nice quick find at 2120hrs. Had the place to myself to work out the hiding place. Well done.

In this part of town early this evening, and thought I'd give this cache a go. Started my search systematically, keeping in mind the terrain rating - and after about 15 minutes I spotted the cache! Good one, Wingaap! TFTC
After a fruitless search a couple of months back, wandered through on the way to the adjacent aquarium and there it was!
TFTC
BTW, I can recommend the range and quality of the aquarium stocks, particualarly the Siamese Fighting Fish!

Decided on a night raid for this one, to reduce the muggle factor. Well, okay, it did reduce it, but not quite enough. From the description, I had a fair idea of where it was, and wouldn't you know it, there was a muggle having a ciggie standing right there! I had to go and make a pretend phone call at the box down the street, then come back and pretend to be waiting for the person I'd just pretend-called. Finally, the muggle wandered off, I checked, and was so chuffed when I found it! Took a bit of searching, but I had it within 15 minutes. Now off to dinner! TFTC. ='.'=
Surreptitiously searched the whole park with a muggle watching on. When said muggle left, we searched that area and lo and behold she had been right on it!!!
Found with dizzyanne but had to wait for muggle to leave. She probably wondered what I could possibly find so interesting in the monument and surrounding area. TFTC
Found it on the second attempt. I should be working but I keep ducking out to look for these caches. Thanks Wingaap I have been enjoying your caches.
Grabbed on the way home from the city... I wish I had seen the original hide...

This cache still had me guessing for a while until I spotted a likely spot. The muggle factor at 1630 didn't help one bit, but the cache was found a few minutes later. TFTC
Found @ 10:50am
Saturday morning is prolly not the ideal time for this cache but the boy had guitar leasons near-by so this seemed worth strolling up and at least checking it out while I waited.
Judging by the logs I get the impression this used to be a harder hide. That, or I'm finally thinking enough like wingaap to find his caches. (The clues did help to elimiate a lot of possibilites.) There was still awful lot of casual sit-sit-sit-look-move-sit-sit-sit-look-move-sit-sit... My, doesn't the dog wash across the way do a roaring trade? It's a shame the Gallipoli pine has succumb. :/

I was travelling via Ashgrove this afternoon and when I noticed this cache had been re-activated I had to stop. Far too many clues made it an easy find (although not so easy to retrieve). Thanks
Cache replaced.
Listing altered to reflect changes in cache location.
Clues updated.
I was riding past on the bike today and even from afar the news on this cache didn't look good [:o]
I stood at GZ head lowered while observing a minutes silence for this brave cache [^]
This ones gone to cache heaven I'm afraid. The hiding spot has gone to the compost heap

It would appear that Bystander has fallen victim of the drought.
Bystander may return...I'll have to assess the area again.
read the logs and new we were in trouble, gave it a good 30 minutes, fresh garden mulch, may not of looked deep enough?

Yes we know, it's Christmas Day - but when better to come to such a busy spot than late in the afternoon after visiting the relatives. Fortunately for us, it would seem Mother Nature had mercy upon us (because nobody else did), making the find quite easy.
Once a month for the last 6 months I've been coming to the park to spend 20 min talking to the locals and tending to the gardens. After all I had decided it was pointless actually trying to look for the cache.[:0)] Unfortunately with the drought I have seen the changes for the worse in this park like many others around Brisbane.
As for the cache after refusing hints for so long I finally broke. A large flashing Christmas light was attached to the cache to asisit me to locate it at the spot which turned out to be the very first spot that I had obviously not so throughly searched /examined 6 months ago. Since that time I have crawled over every single square inch of the park but never bothered to re-check the original search area
Thanks Wingaap for a frustrating six months. If I'm correct that knocks off all your current caches for me.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Well, what can you say about this one. We looked about, we sat around, we thought about it a little, we went away and did some other caches. We came back and did it all over again - AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE A CLUE!!!
As previously quoted, we will be back (and perhaps someone will have mercy upon us and give us a clue!).

With the help from wingaap we walked straight to it this time. We had some perculiar looks from a muggle trying to have lunch about 20 meters away; But Mrs Nosugrefs distracted her when I replaced the cache. I'm sure we were successful. TNLN.
Searched and searched. No luck today. Just as we started our search a muggle decided to plant himself on a bench and read. He was so absorbed in his book he took little notice of two strange people fossicking around this neat little park. We had to talk to wingaap on another issue subsequent to our failure here and he was kind enough to augment the hints. We'll be back.
A few muggles in the area having lunch so had to be careful then saw my chance to nab this one.Great hide TFTC.
Found with geonephew Bedmaker. It's turned out to be something of a 'wingaap' day for us. This capped off a productive day and finding it on the first attempt, we won't have to lose any sleep.

Found with Geo-uncle Lat&long junkie. After a successful day of caching this was our last for the day. Looked around for a while then put the brains into high gear and thought about it some more. We didn't want to have a DNF, especially on our last cache. Our efforts paid off and we located the cache just before it got to dark.

5th out of 6 today so far. With lots of people around I stealthfully grabed the cache. Busy spot today TFTC Wingaap
First DNF for the day for Team DiveDiveDive even though we had the park to ourselves. Spent our allocation of time to no avail. Mrs Deco hit her head on the big gun. OUCH!
Makes you cry to see this listed as an easy find. After 30 mins I decided to go scouting elsewhere.

ANZAC DAY - Veteran flipsnare (aka Momma) with her second find within 10 mins of arrival ^^ nomuggle this afternoon, however the wreaths were beautiful. LEST WE FORGET.
Well, Wingaap said it...
And really it was not our sort of cache. We spent only about 10 mins looking, but for one person that equates to 80 mins. (Yes, there were 8 of us: 2 adults and 6 kids).
It's OK to say that the co-ords are not those of the cache, but without any other clue as to the manner of concealment, well...
After the number we actually did find today the heart just wasn't in something so obscure and (due to muggle proximity) difficult.
So go for it, all you who are willing.
Just don't ring US for any hints!!

I have searched for this cache at least 7 times.
Today I found it in the very same place that I looked the very FIRST time I went looking for the cache.
I must have been blind. (REPEAT SEVERAL TIMES)
My these elderly people like to sit and sit and sit and ...
On every visit the same people sat and stared doing nothing, but staring. That makes it hard to grab and rehide,...till they start snoring.
I love these caches that become all consuming missions.
Thanx for the hide Wingaap.

Found on the 2nd visit here - had a vague cryptic clue from the 24/7 Garner Family crisis help line - not a very easy cache during daylight hours given the area - but went into stealth overdrive to discreetly replace it. Actually I just waited for everyone to leave.
A good rest stop for a snack after a morning on the bike. Muggle sitting in the middle did deter my efforts as well as what appeared to be another cacher looking more sus than I thought I was. Given my presence and the muggle on the bench the other left early.
I could not outlast the muggle and the large crowd at the dog wash nearby so thought it best to leave this to another day. Think I'll go and get a Sandwich instead.

Walked around and looked in what I thought would be ideal hiding areas but alas - no find today - will be back again for another attempt
Sixteenth of 24 finds for the afternoon. When I arrived at the park there were a few people at the bus stop, and a father and daughter on the seat. I crossed the road for a cold drink, and the father and daughter had moved on by the time I returned. I sat on the seat and asked myself where I (or more importantly, wingaap) would hide it. I decided on two likely spots. I found it in the first place I looked at 1650. No exchange made. Thanks to wingaap for the challenge and the cache.
I thaught after the wall by H&S we might not get any more of these caches(big area small cache)amazed these get approved
Tricky but smart thinking. Looked in obivous spots but found when hopes down.
Everything dry and in good condition.
Thanks for the fun.

Maintenance visit:
Found that the cache container was cracked. Also found that the 'logbook' had not been replaced into the cliplock bag as originally setup.
The entire cache has been replaced. Exactly in the same location.
Yes, SUCCESS! Second time lucky - with some clues to guide me in the correct direction! Took geohound with me to use a part of my disguise, plan was working well until muggle dog-walkers started a conversation with me. Was trapped for several minutes (with cache hidden between my legs) until they finally left!! Thanks for this one wingaap, it has been driving me nuts thinking about it. Left with a great sense of satisfaction and renewed enthusiasm.
With a limited time budget, I could only spend a short time here. Not quite sure where to start I looked in the least obvious then the most obvious places and found nothing. This will be one of my boomerang caches, I'll keep coming back.

Frustrating!! Hunted around for a while and searched the areas I would hide a cache but no joy Ended up leaving so as not to draw more attention to myself from the muggles. I will return...
What a cunning cache. Enjoyed it immensely even though I was was getting a little frustrated for a while in searching. Water has got into the cache and the paper is damp.
Thanks Wingaap

Well, we finally found this one (although we had to get far too many hints to help us). I thought we'd looked in this spot previously, but obviously hadn't been thorough enough.
The cache log is quite damp and difficult to write on. We tried to sit it in the sun for a few minutes, but it probably needs to be replaced.

22:25hrs took us about 20 minutes to locate this one but the main thing is we found it. The paper log is saturated, dried out the canister as much as possible and removed the plastic bag. Replaced it in position with the cap facing down, hopefully this will prevent further moisture entering it. The canister may need a new log put into it. Another well hidden Cache Wingaap.
Yay Yay Yay after five attempts at it finally found it with Brummy! This cache takes my total to 100!!!! Yay Thank you Wingaap for driving me insane with bystander!!!
Finally came up trumps tonight 2010. The second night of searching for this one, in the company of Critter2.
It’s amazing how when you are just about to give up. You sit down, your mind clears and suddenly everything makes sense. How’s that for some deep thoughts from the brummy [:o)]
Thanks Wingaap. Thanks Critter and congratulations on the 100

I had great fun with this cache. After a few visits and being unable to locate the little critter, I had become well known to a couple of locals who enjoy this park everyday. Today all the frustrations of not being able to grab the cache disappeared as I had an opportunity to get here on a Sunday morning bright and early. Grabbed the cache unobserved and rehid no problemos .
I am beginning to hate this particular cache. Very small park but where could it be? I wish the local would leave the location for a few minutes so I can explore where he sits for so long every day, day in day out. Typical Briz-vegas. Arrrrrgh.
Gotcha !!! The HawMorFords found it tonight at about 19:00.
This has been keeping us up at nights - after many trips... yep, more than 5... it is finally ticked off and in the list of finds.
A VERY Clever hide Wingaap... thanks for the hunt~!

I couldn't believe it, after reading the previous logs I was expecting not to find it on the first attempt, but in less than 1 minute of entering the park I had it in my hand. I did however forget to bring a pen with me so had to take it back to the car to fill in the log book. This was somewhat helpful though as the park was full of muggles.
Great hide thanks Wingaap

Only had a little bit of time free today, so I had a half hearted look.
This one has me a bit bamboozled.
Question:
Can a man my size fit through to where the cache is located? 185cm tall and 130kgs, or do I need a skinny assistant?

Cleverly hidden Wingaap!! After a while looking I finally located this cache. My first ever solo find was a FTF. I was quite excited.
I'm sure Wingaap wouldnt mind me mentioning that much stealth is required as there are many muggles around, even in the evening. No digging is required to find.

LOL Hot and Sweaty you will have no problems

Does that provide a clue....you will not need
