Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a mixed day, this morning we drove into the city to visit the South Australian Museum and the candy store in Rundle Mall, with just a couple of caching stops on the way in. Our afternoon was dedicated entirely to caching, initially focusing on specific caches and then grabbing a few bonus finds with whatever time we had left. We then wrapped up the day with a fantastic Thai dinner. Certainly a very big cemetery, interesting to see some of the years dating back to early in Adelaide's existence. Got close to GZ and saw something a bit suspicious, squeezed between some fences to reach, good thing I had a light breakfast. Thanks for the cache
Today I decided, after a bit of a sleep in, to take my bike into the city to hopefully complete a number of Adventure Labs that had been started over a year or so ago and to find a couple of random caches along the way.I visited the cemetery to initially complete the final location for the Mystery of the Somerton Man adventure lab and then discovered this cache on my way out of the cemetery.TFTC FreddoKeep smiling
Ill admit to being a tad hypocritical here, as I signed the log. But hides in cemeteries and graveyards are disrespectful. Im assuming that permission hasnt been obtained. We can do better folks.
Last day in Adelaide. Received an early morning flight postponement which meant I could spend more time caching, an extra 5 hours to be exact. For the remaining BOLD circus troupe, numbers got smaller as the day went on until just Ardom and I were left to hold up the airport bar. Our timing at the airport was off, only catching the last 5 minutes of NRL games being telecast from Las Vegas. But the beer we had was cold.Officially we were now killing time, collecting a few more caches before returning to the airport one last time. This cache was picked up on our way to an old puzzle solved before leaving Brissy. Who doesn't enjoy Monty Python!! Thanks Freddo for keeping this cache active.

We decided to pick up this traditional after snagging the mystery nearby. I loved getting closer to the chapel and reading about it. Thank you for the smiley and the fun. * * * * * * * * * * *The day:Day 3 of caching in lovely Adelaide was just as amazing as the first two! The group of South Australia Leap Invasion 24 (SALI24) folks included Nibletricecakes, Joolay, Isopeda, Albida33, Kittykatch, and GLISS! today. We met first thing in the morning and spent the entire day driving in the mountains and to the beach and inside the city to pick up a ton of great geoaches. The weather was sunny and hot, so the long hikes we took today were sweaty but successful. We didn't have any DNFs which is always a plus. Many thanks to my teammates today for the perfect caching day to complete my time in Adelaide. Look out, New Zealand! I'm coming for you.

Last night fitzy_1965 and I stayed at my cousin's place. We, like the rest of the household, were up and on the road early. Our plan was to attend the Mega site, target a D5/T5 cache type that we missed last Feb 29, and then head as far North as we could collecting counties along the way.We ended up in Wilmington at a great pub/hotel and were very thankful for the new air con!__________________________We managed to jag a park right outside the Mega site carpark....couldn't have planned that if we tried! Now we are off to collect oldies & counties as whatever inbetween. All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.fitzy_1965 and found this one previous but FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild and I weren't letting a cache 80m away go unfound. We then had fun getting out of the cemetery as our way was blocked for a few minutes by workers tidying up.
Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie). You say five is right out and the magic number is 3 but here we are the Fab 5 and we are most definitely in! Please note that no killer rabbits were harmed in the process of finding and logging this cache! TFTC Freddo and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 21,791**Otepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! Please come and join in the fun, find heaps of caches and experience some wonderful Southern hospitality.**
Caching as team SPBINZ: Sidewaze, Paddlechick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie from Nelson, New Zealand. Really enjoying finding all the caches and all the cache types we can, as well as, of course enjoying the hospitality of our South Australian colleagues and the camaraderie of like-minded friends and acquaintances at the Leap Day Mega. Thanks for the cache .
Plans were made to attend the SA mega although our plans changed as both of our team couldn't go due to other commitments. So with that being sorted we booked everything and only made it a short visit to SA this time.Leap Day and Mega day today. Rocked up to the Mega site nice and early and got a good park. Spent some time here registering, chatting, gadget caches and labs before moving on.After checking into the Mega we joined up with minniek and Fitzy_1965 for a couple of caches. While in the cemetery we decided we had to get this one as well. Thanks for the hide Freddo and thanks to RWLD for a successful short but sweet trip away.
We were nearby so hadto sign this cache of while we were here. TFTC Freddo#16235
Was already basically on this spot so I did a very quick detour and made the grab. Hot hot hot in here today!TFTC

Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Found with sharkiefanSigned as FUSHDay 5. "The Great Leap Forward" day is here. Spending the day in the city ticking off a few lists of finds and enjoying all the mateship that comes with Geocaching. TFTC Freddo
The Leap Day Mega was a great excuse to come down from Queensland and weve had a busy time exploring Adelaide and surrounds cache by cache. Meeting up with friends old and new, we sometimes cached with them and sometimes alone but always had a great time. Although I have been to Adelaide before, this trip has shown me so many new and interesting places as Ive chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches for everyone to enjoy.
Plans were in place with FurfacesLL #1 to attend the SA single day mega. So bookings for flights, accommodation and car hire were made and off we went. Flew in this morning and our first target for today was the Anna Tommy series. Have had this series solved for quite a while now, however we never seem to be in this area to do them. We made sure that changed today. Its MEGA day!!! So off we went to the Mega site, registrations, chatter, gadget ad labs and much more followed. After doing the requirements at the Mega site, we joined up with Fitzy and MinnieK for a couple caches that they had their eyes on. We were too close to this one to not collect it. So we made our way over with MinnieK (Fitzy had already done this one) chatting along the way and we soon had cache in hand, stamped and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache placement Freddo and thanks to FFLL for another awesome couple days of caching away from home. Looking forward to the next trip.
Another old cache added to the found list. The hunt had me double guessing but I got there eventually Walking around Adelaide picking off caches here and there on the way to an evening event.Freddo, I found England 932 AD today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.* * * * * * *SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Keep looking up!
Day 3 of Team SQUIRMs adventures around South Australia and today we are staying close to home, checking out Radelaide. This cemetery is so tightly packed I tried to be very careful with where I stood as we weaved our way to GZ where Peppa made the find. Tftc FreddoFind #5456
Found in our group of six Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing. We've left Stacey's mom behind today. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache Freddo
The SQUIRM team has travelled from Brisbane for the MEGA. We are here for a week and a bit of Fun, Fringe and caching.Today sees us tackling some caches in and around the city area, we'll try not to get too distracted on the way in. Can we call this the city precinct? If so it's taken us 3 hours to get here from West Beach . Huge cemetery. Thanks for the cache.
The second full day in Adelaide for Six Queenslanders Unsupervised In Radelaide MegaingLast night we got to watch a couple of half naked cowboys demonstrating unicorn sex interspersed with some circus acts Fringe Festival Today its back to caching and its all about oldies, desirable D/Ts, rarer cache types and anything else that we stepped over on the way past with a plan to concentrate on the City we still managed to cache from Mile End, West Croydon, North Adelaide, Unley, Linden Park & Anstey HillA very successful and entertaining day spent hooning around in Stacey with absolutely no questionable driving or parkingOnly impaled myself on the one spike - TWICE!!All logs stamped SQUIRM Thanks Freddo Find #10905
Found with (and by) byronbure during a hot stroll around the city. We'd popped into the cemetery to see if we could find the Somerton Man, but all we managed to find is this cache. Thanks for the cache "Discovering our world one box at a time"
Thanks Freddo for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 931 for us
Visiting Adelaide from Brisbane, I have a long list (63) of cache to attempt to find. Some of them have good D/T, some of them are Oldies, and some of them have lots of Favourite Points. Others are just on my way somewhere else. Meanwhile, Im here with my husband, because hes playing basketball in the Adelaide Masters Games. This means that my time is not entirely my own. This morning, I was up early to attend a nearby event, where I met a group of local cachers. Following coffee and a chat, I headed off to find a couple of nearby caches that happened to be on my list. This was one of them. A quick and easy find at GZ. Thanks, Freddo, for the cache
Everything was alright until I thought I saw a hand moving or did I
One thing I’m sure of is I’m still brushing ants off my legs
I love a good cemetery

Found it! Took us a while - we were led to a tiled grave which we thought must be it given the clue! Had to go back and read through the comments to find it.
I was out for a nice evening stroll and came by this geocache. It took me longer to find a way to the cache than to find the cache itself. Reading about the church nearby was interesting.
A great little chapel. Certainly interesting reading the headstones and seeing many having long sentences and poems about not being forgotten. GPS was pointing in the wrong area and it was only when we looked at the map that we could use the trees to see where it may be. After a brief search we had it in our hands. TNLN. Cheers.
The gecko was still guarding the cache today! All was well, an easy find thankfully. TFTC
This took a long hard look but it was there and being guarded by a gecko.
Left a lady bug!

First geocache! Great little spot and great to get out and explore my neighbour hood cemetery. Thanks!
TFTC. Interesting burials and chapel. So old my bones creaked. Once standing at gz it was a quickish grab. RIP. Left baby lid
Took a bike ride this morning and the path went near this cache. It was a simple find once I looked in the right place -but for some reason it took a while to look in the right place. TFTC
Out for a wander and decided to look for a few caches along the way. I made the minor detour to this one and once I had found a route through it ended up being a quick find. TFTC Freddo
