I checked this one and it is gone.
Not sure who spotted it and would go to the trouble of stealing it. It's certainly off the beaten track.
I'll go down there and replace it.

Skydog, Any chance of a cache check? Pretty sure it is not there and would hate to see it archived - its such a great spot.
Our only DNF of the day - judging by the pictures and the recent DNFs by experienced cachers I think this one has gone missing - any chance of a cache check please?
Mmmmmm......... yes well. Found GZ no worries and clambered up to where we thought the cache should be. Looking at previous finders photos we were in the correct spot but blowed if the cache could be spotted.
We wound our way along a myriad of tracks to get here and after a short off track section got to the general vicinity of GZ. With my broken arm this was as far as I could go so I watched on from above and guided Altaire to GZ with the GPS. I had 1 m of accuracy from above and we were certain we had the correct GZ. Sir Altaire made the stretch to reach the desired altitude but unfortunately after quite some time nothing was found. We checked some past logs and found photos that matched this location exactly so Sir altaire went back and searched again even into the depths of crevasses, lest the cache had been tossed aside. Nothing, not in any hidey hole. We'd sure like to know if we were blind or if this really has been muggled.
Came in from Sandpiper but couldn't find any track which got me close to GZ so gave up for another day when I will try the Engadine entrance.
Please wait until I get my ladder...
Nevermind, I got it in the end. After following non existant trails...
A favourite for me

This was our second go and found it this time.
Last time we approached from Geelong Road and had to do a bit of bush bashing. We could only spend a limited time looking as my off sider had to leave.
Returned today and approached from Sandpiper (like the instructions said !) and after looking for a short time soon spotted the cache. Charles 'streched" and retrieved it and I filled out the log. Left a small ring of pegs and a "Good Effort" badge.

Started the walk from Geelong Road Engadine. Through the tracks and then directly through the thick bush, across the creek and up to the pipeline. Approached the GZ from below and saw the cache straight away. A stretch by the man and a boost up for the lady and we had it. Fun little climb.
Found it! Definately one you want to watch the geokids around. After a big bush bash and havin to lift the geodog up some of the bigger rocks climbed up to enjoy the view then hey presto there it was!
This morning I decided to continue my walk down the hill on the track/s from Geelong Street after finding It'sss There Somewhere. Soon the pipeline was reached and an easy walk along it to around 50m or so from the cache. A little tricky getting up after going over the pipeline but a short walk uphill and I was at GZ. Looked in one spot, no luck so tried another and sure enough the cache was spotted. Just before that I made a big step up onto a rock but I trod on a Gymea Lily leaf which of course slipped and my shin still has a nice contusion and no doubt later on bruise to show for it.
The climb up was easy enough- just have to watch that rather large rock not too far off the ground that rocks a little .
From there it was downhill then uphill back to the car. TFTC!

Good, fun cache.
Climb looks harder than it is but a few of the larger rocks are loose, so check before putting weight on it.

TFTC,
Well here I am at this site for what I realise is a second time and this time I can see it. Last time I climbed up and must have looked and felt everywhere but the correct spot without success. I have made the trip here after failing to find "Wopper Willow" to keep my days going and am wondering why I didn't see it before. In the excitement that rushes through the old veins when I experience what was once very easy, I have written the wrong date in the log but having reached the bottom when I realised it, there was no way I was going back up to correct it. I did have a Non Caching friend with me today who can confirm my attendence this afternoon if it is ever questioned.
This is worth a favourite. I have visited a group of trackables to take in the experience as well.

What a Strrrettccchhh! Found it with "The Neighbs". It hadn't been found for over a year. Third time lucky . Didn't log the first two DNFs in Nov 2010. Glad I'm not height challenged. The cache was found and replaced where it should have been. TFTC
Found with SESBLOCKER. Glad to cross this one off the bucket list. TFTC Skydog.
Found GZ quickly, stretched up, looked high, looked low and all around. This one eluded me. Am wondering if it's still there as it hasn't been found for a long time.
Maybe it us but after we found the main trail and followed it down to the bmx track that was the last we saw of any trail that led anywhere. I've got scratches, stings, bites and bruises. We dont know whether the cache was in its correct location but we put it back where we found it. enjoyed the experience even with the bush bashing, thanks Sky Dog.
Sorry Sky Dog..... reallly , really sorry, but as stated in e-mail we were unable to put this cache back in it's proper spot, therefore it has been temporarily moved. Just wanted to log this in case anyone else goes looking for it.
Well, we found it!!! A long story to this find!
We approached it from the Engadine side, from Geelong Road and went down the gully crossing the creek and then walking alongside the pipeline, until eventually climbing up and over the pipe and bushbashing up to where we could see GZ. Stood there for ages deliberating over how on earth we were going to actually get the cache! I am not very good with heights and am not very tall, but along with geokid, we finally worked out a way of retrieving it. Took ages and lots of stretching .
My goodness what a stretch to get it, we duly made a swap and signed the log and then tried and tried to put it back where it belonged. We tried for ages but no amount of stretching, climbing etc helped. I tried climbing with the cache in one hand, then I tried climbing without it and my son stretched to pass it up to me but try as we might, no amount of stretching could get it back in it's rightful place We even tried putting it in the fork of a branch and tried to put it in from the branch but all to no avail.
The long and the short of it is, we were unable to place the cache back as we found it.
Apologies to Skydog for this, who was most understanding and no doubt had laugh at our expense! Skydog assures me that it will be put back shortly ready for the next cacher.

Did the same approach as most others. Came in from below from the pipeline. This makes finding the cahe easier but harder to reach. Defenitely a 3 if not 4 star! On the way out (up hill) I found a track quickly and it was an easy way out.

great cache. tackled this one from below and spotted it straighht away. gave azzo89 a boost and the cache was in hand TFTC took geocoin
The last of the day with Shod. Realising we had a reasonable walk through the bush. a few missed turns, no visible tracks and dead ends finally led us down to the pipeline.
From there we scaled the easy climb up to the GZ. A call from Mrs Oz made us realise we had only about 15 min left.
Searching revealed nothing, but as we were about to leave Shod spied the cache. Son of Shod used a Gymea lily stalk to access it. Left Geo Coin. With my help Shod was able to replace the cache and we headed home. A great arvo of caching with Shod complete.

Similar experience to the other below this. We took off following the instns and soon passed the bmx bike area and ran out of track. Backtracking, we descended until we saw the fire trail that ran along the pipeline. After short walk up the hill. we crawled under the pipe and scaled the rocks. After a serach at GZ for 10 mins, and with our alloted time running out, we had to turn for home. as I turned i looked , up, and voila spied the cache. Using a Gymea lily stalk, my slon flicked into our waiting hands. Then with help from Ozshockwave, we replaced the cache and headed home.
Nice hide. You dont need to be tall to get the cache, just be able to do some easy climbing. Worth it just for the climb.
Did my own bush bash down to the pipeline until close to GZ.
Ahhh there it is....WT>...?
I tried to get to this one from above and just managed to flick it out when I thought 'how the hell am I going to get that back in place?'
Once released I came to the realisation that I was stuck up here [xx(] and probably here for the night [|)]. No way am I going to get down in a tidy manner. AND I DIDN'T....scraped a lot of bark off myself. [B)]
Signed the log (sorry about all the blood! )
Replacing it from below was a snap...sort of.
[:o)]I keep wondering why I do these caches on my own as I will definately come to grief one of these days.[:o)]
But hey!, this was a great location and a great challenge for me so I am glad I finally got around to it.
[^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^]
PS. And I managed to find a track from here directly out to the start point that I had missed. TFT(Fn)C.LOL

Our last cache of the day and a fantastic one to finish off with! Took a bit of getting to GZ as we lost the suggested path after about 100-150 metres. Besides, there were a load of kids in the direction we needed to go and so we decided instead to head down the steep hill and follow the track until it was time to bush bash back up again. Once at GZ we guessed a likely hiding area and as Mr H was climbing up to have a look, Mr Usat31 confirmed it when he spotted the cache and was able to give directions from below. Great team work! We now know what cache has influenced Rainbow Spirit! The way out was much easier and we were able to follow quite well defined tracks that led out to the road at S 34°02.358 E 151° 01.542 (the small track to the left of the main one).
Thanks for a really good fun cache!

What? Another Skydog Cache? This was the last of 6 caches for me today (and 1 assist for Mr H at Bundanoon Bounty). 3 of them were by Sky Dog, 2 by Swag Aft & 1 by Bushy2233, so it was quality day all round!
The local kids here were out in abundance after school, and they were all gathered in a direct line between where Mr H & Mr Us were standing and where GZ is. What to do? Quickly we decided to head for the pipeline (yep – another bush bash) and walk along it until we were adjacent to GZ & then scramble up the hill. Kids avoided & no suspicion aroused we were soon at GZ & Mr H did the scrambling & Stretching. Mr Us spotted the cache from a lower vantage point & helped direct the younger & fitter bloke to make the grab.
After the duties were completed, typically we found a much easier route back to the car! Why didn’t we find that track on the way there?
Good stuff again Sky Dog, we are really enjoying your caches.
Cheers.

After reading Sky Dog rule #39 is, "Don't locate caches at the edges of cliffs where people may fall off - unless you are clipped into a hang glider!" we thought that we could get this one without getting nar the edge.
Unfortunately we were wrong....
We will go back for another look when we have some ropes with us...
Thanks for the views Sky Dog.

I found this a struggle for a while. i'm impressed that I did it, as i'm afraid of heights
An excellent placement, a bit out of reach for the vertically challenged but as Tangles always says "there is more than one way to skin a cat"......
3rd for the day came in along the water board track and walked up through the bush gps a little jumpy but decided to try and climb the cliff in front of me. Thought I had checked all spots when I looked up a bit higher again and there it was.

We walked along the footpad from Sandpiper at the base of the cliff, I new exactly where it would be very high up under the ledge.. Within seconds Bush2233 was climbing up the rock face as a rock spider would.. After a minute or so he found it.. Not to difficult.. Left some Rupiah and took the key ring. Then on our way to the 4th cache of the day.. Thanks

At Woronora Heights for a soccer presentation with my Jonathan (one of the kids), and thought we'd stop by on the way home. Found the cache after a little bit of climbing...Definitely would be tough for shorter geocachers!

We couldnt do North Shore and then not this one. Walked in based off the excellent directions then used the GPS to pin point the spot. Seeing as though i was the shortest one in the group the others climbed and i had to use my eyes. SO , i guess i found it, although Fugu did the retrieval.

Walked up from the pipeline below, left the ladies down there to enjoy the shade while we sweated our way to the cache location. What a unique formation!
We searched a number of places, I even searched one spot, little did I realise that I was just inches away. The boy spotted this one eventually so it was back up where I had already been.
Took nothing but launched one of our new TB's "2 hugs" into this cache.
Loved the location and the challenge!

Stretching a great way to start the day and there’s nothing better then an hour of yoga in the morning to loosen your body up, well there is and there is stretching involved but I don’t think I should write about that. Can’t decide if I should write about the time we found some puppies in a box half way down a cliff or the giant beehive I stuck my head into while climbing, the beehive will do.
I was poking around in the creeks near our place when I spotted a nice overhang with what looked like a big hollow. So up I go and soon reached the overhang and poked my head in. Once my eyes got adjusted to the gloom I noticed the place was one big beehive full of bees. So lets just say I did not hang around long and have since found a few hives in other rock hollows.

It was a race to this one! We only just beat a father and son combo by seconds. Added an extra bit of excitement to the chase!
This one popped up on the radar screen and was very close to home so decided to track it down on the way to shopping.
A small group of fellow geocachers were also on the trail so the race was on.
So close again to being the first to log a new cache.
Oh well, I'll wait for the next one - and I'm heading out at midnight to locate it !
