We returned to this one to exchange some of mums coins but it's definitely gone !
Been saving this one for a special day. This cache is my 100th find !!!!
Since I love to travel and have a collection of overseas coins what better way to celebrate then with the Coin Exchange. Coin left was a 50 Pfennig (cent) German coin from the time before the Euro.
Thanks to Posswamy for your help today

whoops found this one quite a while ago with clogs on fire but forgot to log it, TFTC robas
Found this one at 2100! Torches on our phones worked a treat! Nice little collection of coins!
Our time visiting Tasmania is nearly at an end.
Stopping in Ulverstone for a few days before we sail back to the North Island. today we headed out to explore nearby.
Such a great area. A few caches found and our geo streak continues.
Well after finding this cache thanks to previous logs we were astounded to find it some 20+ metres from our GZ. WE found your cache at S41 10.004 E146 07.990

We detoured to this one and soon arrived at GZ though we parked a little off.
We walked over and started our search. Here, there, everywhere! Then we checked the hint, hmmmm, but we've already checked around everything ... We tried again but still came up with nothing.
We had run out of time so we headed back to the car. On the way I spotted something. Is that a? Yes? Worth a check? Okay!
Just like that it was in our hands. I let my uncle check out the coins while I signed it.
TFTC! Good thing we parked where we did, we had to walk past the cache to get to where "GZ" was.

First attempt at caching, unfortunately did not find thus one, on to the next spot.
Re stocked with several foreign coins.
Pity some cachers take instead of swapping though.

A nice easy find and impressive view on the drive here. We replaced the broken container with a new one and left a TB. As lovers of foreign coins we were very disappointed to only find 2x AUS 5c, 1 AUS 20c and 1 NZ 10c. we took nothing.
Container is broken, but still exactly where the coordinates led me. No foreign coins in here anymore, but quite a few 5 and 10c pieces
Easy find once we faced the correct way! Found the container broken though and didn't have another to replace it in the car.
Hard find but we got around to it
Cache is in good condition and still stocked well.

This was our 5th cache find in the caching run & we found it at 11:37
So this now makes our total find count 6012.
[blue]
A nice, quick park-n-grab.
Is this road really a "No Through Road"? We didn't follow it all the way up.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Fair (Around 8 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks robtas for the hunt today.

Nice easy find thanks. This trip to Tasmania going anticlockwise from Devonport is our third trip and the first in our motorhome. This is another cache, there will be many more, hopefully.

We also did a circle of GZ before finding GZ. A fantastic view from up the top. TFTC.
Hi robtas
The GPS had me walk around in a circle before it settled and I found the cache.
Great views!
Logged at 1410hrs.

What fabulous views from the top of the hill!!! Left a geocoin we found in Ballarat on our recent visit to the North Island. TFTC
Just headed out for a short drive from Ulverstone this afternoon and this was one of the caches we wanted to get. Nice one. Thanks robtas - great homes and views up this way.
Quick find. As is all too often the case the clue didn't make sense until after I had found the cache. Swapped one coin for another.
Finally found it! The hint didn't help much but short jnr cacher was an advantage. Will try and bring some Asian coins up.
(etrexer)nice lot of different coins. left a few in a plastic bag, took one small coin with a hole in the centre for my collection. thanks for the hunt and top view. last time i was here it was just paddocks and i harvested some potatoes on the side of the hill. cheers etrexer
Found in the dark with torches our last cache of the day and an easy find TFTC
What a view, and we neglected to bring the camera. Sun was shining, and the views of the town and coast were magnificent.
Additions to the ground debris made this cache less obvious than normal so it took a bit of prodding and poking around to locate it. The GPS was a bit fanciful as well and was fluctuating by 10+ metres, so that added to the search complexity.
Thorough searching by geo-wife had it in hand.

A good thing with geocaching is you go to so many places that you have never been to before. Unfortunately I forgot to bring some foreign coins with me today. TFTC
Found after some looking. Joined by two active young men. Looked at note and coins. TNLN. Thanks.
1271 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1430. Glorious sunny day. Last find for the day before going to visit people that we talk to by radio from The Rock in NSW.Visited CachMovers coin SL Tnx robtas

Finding the right road was my only challenge. My first attempt put me in someone's back yard. Soon found the right way - a beautiful drive in and incredible views and architecture. TFTC.
nice lot of coins. the kids looked at then and worked out where they come from. TNLN
What a great spot. Very flash houses going up here. The view was great and it was a very nice winter day. Lots of interesting coins in here. TNLN, TFTC.
An interesting collection of coins. Didn't have any myself, so just signed the log book.
Find number 1 for the 25th day of our trip to Tasmania and the Mega Event. Found at 0730 hrs, find number 286 for the trip so far. It did take a bit to find, but found it was. Took nothing, but put in a Vietnamese 500 Dong note (sorry it isnt a coin, but it is foreign currency) and a travel bug.
Cheers

Found by Mary & David at 0750. The trouble with flying is that you have to travel light. Mary's bag of foreign coins and cache swaps didn't make the cut. Great views though. Our thanks to robtas.
Daughter had a ball with this one, she swapped coind she had doubled up on for some that she didn't have.

It is good to have a Geocoin and Travel Bug Exchange cache so close to home. No excuse now for holding onto geocoins or travelbugs for too long. TFTC Robtas

Some interesting houses going up near here - all with a good view of the goings on at GZ! We took a coin with a hole (Greek I think) and a Thai coin and left 50 English pence and some euros. TFTC - we had never visited this part of Ulverstone before!
Thanks for the cache, this is a nice idea, did not have anything to leave so TNLN, nearby muggle was giving us the evil eye lol
Haven't been this way for a while and needed an excuse to visit. Clue was cryptic and depended on which way you faced but we didn't need the clue anyway. Nice easy find for the kids and a picturesqe view of Ulverstone.
Great view from this part of town. I like themed caches and we had some American money from a recent trip to the US so we were equipped to perform a swap.
After wandering a circles for a while I stopped and looked around. Really there were only a few obvious hiding places, and the cache was quickly found. The mini helper left a couple of American quarters and took a couple of other coins for his collection.
Silly me thought 'coin' meant geocoin not money coins
Luckily I had Neribil there to point out how unbelievable blonde I am and he even pointed my in the direction of the cache as well
Thanks robtas

This one has been on my to do list for so long it's not very funny. On my way back to Hobart decided I had time to do one cache, and this one finally got to the top of the list! Left a couple of coins - a Euro 2 cent I think, and a Danish coin - a 25 Ore???? it was pretty anyway with a little loveheart on it. (yes, it was a real coin). Very nice views down to Ulverstone in the glorious sunshine. Thanks robtas.
Found this on one my way home from The First Ever Traditional Annual NW Tas BBQ. I made the find quickly, then continued up to see the view. Much of the view was just overcast skies unfortunately, but I got the idea!
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
Found the cache on a somewhat cloudy day. There were lots of builders driving up and down the road as the amount of housing development is surprising and rather a shame as the top of Medici Street would be a scenic place for a public lookout. It was a nice drive down the Gawler River, a river estuary that will have to be explored by canoe during the school holidays.
The cache was once again exposed and all of the camo paint has come off. Swapped some old Francs for some Rupees.
Thanks Robtas for the cache and an excuse to drive this way.

Easy find in the end, some of the camo has rubbed off this one Rob - makes it a bit easier to see. View great from the top of the hill too. TNLNSL thanks Rob
Not any trouble as the cache had become exposed again.
Concealed as best I could.

Find No. 14 on the NWCW trip day of reckoning. I had previously looked for this cache without success and did not hold out much hope. This time it was an easy find in a spot I had definitely searched before, must have crept off anf come back. TNLN. Thanks Robtas
Looked on couple of previous occasions..can't believe I didn't find then..must have walked past a dozen times..simple hides can be quite hard to find..as seen in the logs.Good hide robtas.Coords good.Had no coins..TNLNSL TFTC Cheers robtas.

Another for the day where CraigRat had thrown in the towel and I had to have "one more look"!
Kind of not what I was expecting either, but a nice view across the valley. Was being watched by the owner of a house just down the way that is in the final stages of construction - hope he didn't get too curious as to what we were doing there!

Fifteenth of twenty-four finds for the Ulverstone day of my assault on Northern Tasmania. Sorry aloysius7, but the cache is there. It's hidden in a very traditional, and conventional way. I found it in the second place I looked at 1310. Note to aloysius7: don't think "robtas"; go with your normal geocaching instincts. I took the extra trip to the top to enjoy the view, and it was worth it. There is a new house being built between the cache and the top of the hill, and they will enjoy this great view from the comfort of their living room. Thanks to robtas for the cache.

Drove right to the top and checked out the view - I have never seen this view of Ulverstone before, and you wouldn't realise you were so close.
