I have tried to contact the CO 3 times without response. After a lot of flooding through this area we believe that the cache has finally washed away. I have spoken with a number of other cachers who have not been able to locate the cache either (and some did not log their DNF - tsk tsk). I would love to see another cache in this area again so this NA log is in hopes that someone else will place one - or even maski if they ever reappear Smile

Thanks for the hunt Maski, but we didnt find it. Girl4God20 tells me they looked but didnt find it yet either. I think they were planning on attacking this one again.
There has been a lot of rain and flooding through here as seen by some quite high river flow dams where branches etc have been washed in piles against trees or rocks. dont think you'll find it any time soon, alas

Well, it was a nice walk that we enjoyed though would have been better with some water running through. Got to what we think was GZ but to no avail. It has been almost a year since it's last discovery and having an enormous amount of rain at Christmas time makes us wonder if it has been buried again, so many locations it could be. Was a little disappointed but that's the way it goes. TFTH

Well!! It was a great walk but no water or very little of it, could not find as I was thinking it may have been covered since we had an enormous amount of rain at Christmas, hopefully it can be checked to see if it is still there. Tfth anyway.

Well, what a walk I am a biker, not a hiker, well I thought I was anyway!!! I remember doing this walk when I was a kid, they must have moved the falls because I am sure they were closer than this Wink

Anyway, after some negotiating with the satellite reception I found ground zero. Then it was a matter of using my nut and some digging tools and eventually I found it. The rain and mudslides had completely buried it down a crack in a rock, of which there are many!

It is still dry and in good condition, and I TNLN, but I did adjust its location, still at the same GZ, but hopefully where it won't get buried by mud and rocks, time will tell eh.

TFTC, I am glad I persevered as it was a tough walk in motorcycle gear!

Cheers

Pt. Douglas Trip 09.3. The walk was fantastic, but the 30mins scrambling around on the hillside was very disappointing. Thanks. Albida

A warm Walk in following the paint and the blue ribbons, looked around and over and next to it and behind it, just let the pointing machine settle and look. There it was, did the log thing and enjoyed the walk back TFTC

What a lovely walk, only a couple of markers to the track though and was in yellow and red paint. Lost GPS when close to the cache area, but could not get another signal at all. Woe is me, had to return without finding it! Did get a nice piccie of the resident scrub turkey and his nest which was the size of a large bathroom! Two GPS's is the way to go!!!!

These are the ones I like. A walk in the bush, some wildlife, peace and quiet and no muggles. A couple of challenges with this one; 1. find the track, 2. find the cache. Fortunately no trouble with no.2, but no.1 took a bit of finding at times. But you can always just follow the creek bed. Thanks for the cache maski. Biro was dead, so replaced it, otherwise TNLN.
Could't find bundy's old mine drive, but there is a rope tied to the trees that goes up and up to who knows where, with metal markers wired to the trees. ????

Started the day with this energetic little walk. Wished the person painting the arrows had more paint to use as we lost sight of the arrows on numerous occasions. Very scenic and most enjoyable. Spent a lot of time at gz looking for the cache. It was very well concealed and did take a lot of looking fir. Gladly we did find it in the end and the coords were spot on though the gps was tracking all over the place but did come back to the same and right spot each time. TNLN. Thanks Maski

Found this one with Jimw83, Abseilqld, and friend. Fantastic area I never knew about. I think I had the most fun bounding from rock to rock on the way to and from the cache. To bad the falls were not flowing.

TNLN

Thanks,
Deathtrip

nice little hike that didn't know existed, found cache after about 20 minutes of the GPS dancing around, couldn't find the mine shaft that was apparently 25m away up the hill.
Took Nothing, left a lense wipe

Cache 1 of 4 for the day, found at 0925 in transit to the Mater hospital for #1 daughters tonsillectomy. A bit of a hike, especially for her as she wasnt allowed anything to drink in preparation. Poor reception meant we were searching way way off from the correct location. Took about an hour for it to settle and give more accurate readings. Eventually found it.
Took bouncy pink half ball thing
Left Green peg man and 4wd club card.

Make sure you check out the old mine drive, to the right of the water falls, and about 25 metres up and back from the cache location. Look for the supporting beam over the entrance.

This caching is going to make me too fit.

Now this is a spot I would never have found without a cache to find. Great walk to GZ in the afternoon. Lots of scrub turkeys and lots of evidence of days gone by. No rain recently so no chance of a swim. Found after a short search with the GPS having given up receiving the birds above. (Had visions of a DNF here for half an hour, till the lucky caching gods smiled on me) Big Grin
Took a car and left a car.

Joe Possum and partner found the cache at 3:30pm after the pleasant walk and a bit of a search. GPS lead us all over but a search at the initial indication revealed the cache. There was no flow in the creek. Took key ring and left philips screw driver. Thanks, Maski, for the introduction to this location, the walk and the cache.

Started off with a very overcast sky. By the time we arrived at where cache should be it had tuned into rain. Well we had come this far and where not going to be defeated by that. Gps was jumping all over the place which made things difficult. Persistance paid off and after getting very wet finally located the cache.

Found this easy enough as we have been up there before. The night before a nice storm went through the area and as a result the creek and falls were running. Would be the first time in a number of years. Found the cache in about 5 mins but was floating in water. So I move it to higher ground. The new coordinates are S23 35.961 E150 28.547 We TN, left 2 toy cars and SL
