I also failed to find, though found the spot described in the hint. Suspect the recent fire got it.
A leisurely stroll this evening saw us approaching this cache. Unfortunately, it looks like it did not survive the recent burnoffs through here. The area was razed to the ground so it is unlikely it simply escaped our attention (but not impossible!). Spotted the hint object easily and a few rocks on the western side, as well as the crispy remains of an animal skull, but no evidence of any cache container anywhere or nearby. Definitely needs a check . Beautiful area.
As I slowly crawl upto my next milestone, I decided to head out today and clean up a few solved puzzles on the north side of Canberra.
Decided to grab this one before picking up another puzzle. Once at GZ, I had to search for ages as the previous finder moved the cache away from where it was supposed to me. I was about to give up and move on when I tried one more location and found the cache. Log signed and I returned it back to where it was supposed to be and added heaps more camo. BTW there is no trackable in this cache.
Thanks for the cache placement Fore!

This one was lying in the open when we walked around. The log was full, and not in a bag. I added a new logbook, ziplock bag and pen to the cache. The hide from the hint was nowhere to be found, it looks like there has been some activity in the area. I rehid it out of view (within 2m of the hint object) where it is a lot less likely to be muggled. The CO may want to reset this one
Went for a walk around Gossan Hill killing time before geoson's race at AIS. I found the remnants of this cache - see attached photo. I picked up the dollhouse bed. This cache will need some attention.
Our first Geochace, my 5 & 7 year old grandsons and I. A steep learning curve as none of us had any experience.
Fun little walk. Had been recovered well. Did the same. Funny little candle inside
An easy find after dropping a friend off in Civic. Saw a moving trackable on the way. Saw a rabbit and left a trackable. TFTC
Found 2:24 pm. I wanted to get out and find my daily cache to keep the streak going. So again looked for a feasible cache and decided this one was an idea and for a change I was in the daylight. Parked the geovehicle in the nearby street and headed off via a path between the houses. I arrived soon at GZ located the cache fairly quickly and found it in pretty good condition. I signed the log and dropped a little cup with a candle in it into the cache to add to the swag. Thanks for the cache.
We had never been in this area so today was our opportunity to go for a walk in here and grab a couple of caches.
Quickly found as it was a bit exposed so signed log and covered up a bit better.

Love the comments recorded by the muggles and great to know some muggles will respect the game.
Often walk this ridge with my walking group but a little hard to get away and search, so this afternoon was a solo effort, to keep my streak going. TNLN SL TFTC Fore! Love the ingenuity of your cache names.

TN, left a red pen (it's within shouting distance of a school after all - not that I checked....) TFTC!
Ahhh...if I could re-invent myself I would love to be a forensic scientist!
Anyway, so today after a stinking hot day, I decided to go for an after dinner stroll to keep the streak going and to stop me from feeling lethargic. I parked over at CIT then walked over from there.
Once I stepped through the fence, it was an easy stroll through the woodland to make the nice easy find of a cache nearby and then on this one.
Thanks Fore! bringing me to this lovely woodland pocket and Fore! the cache

On a mission to reach 500 with Geochicks, Snickersallan (SA), Fit02 and Rat PackLeavings (RPL). p.s. I signed in as (BW) on todays run
Team find with geo friends, Bluewattle (BW), FIT02, RatPackLeavings (RPL). To save time, I signed log as SA (Snickersallan) and TFTC.
Picked this one up after collecting a nearby puzzle cache as it was only a couple of hundred metres away. Geoman, who had come for the walk, was a bit concerned about traipsing though long grass, but fortunately, most of the walk was through short tufts, so easy going. He had spied a likely location from around 50 metres away, and while my iPhone GPS led me to look in another place, he followed his instincts and came up with the goods - who is the geocacher here!?! Anyway, log signed and cache replaced. Thanks Fore! the cache!
Went to a School play called Shrekspeare at Radford college with HypoHippo3000 and went in the 20 minute intermission. After going through a bit of bushland we found the cache did not bring a pen although, HypoHippo3000 took a picture(see below log) TFTC!
Me and a friend, had been at Radford college for a school performance "ShrekSpear" (don't even ask) and there was a 20 minute intermission so we though what a better way then get a quick grab? Cache was intact. We forgot our pen so I took a picture
Thanks for the cache...

Nice quick find with chsgcc. Found with lid open and looks like animal had been through and needs new log.
Whoops put the wrong date on the paper log. Haven't been in this Nature Reserve before — will probably bring my dog back here again. A few tracks and track names to add to OSM. TFTC!
While attending the national square dance convention in canberra this was the closest to the venue.nice easy find as it was exposed. Nice area to walk through
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Find 2000. We are here in Canberra for the national square dance convention and as this was the nearest cache after attending a meeting at the venue - Radford College ourselves and xambo4u found the nearest point we could drive to then walked into the cache where we made a quick find. Thanks Fore for placing the cache.
I found this exactly as advertised - it was right in the open - no cover at all. I covered it with natural matter including the object mentioned in the HINT. Thanks Fore!
Left a pen since nothing to sign with...its lizard baby season so lots of skinks, yey! Tftc
Found it! But it could use a little TLC. The lid of the container looks cracked and a little water has found its way into the container.
I intend to get to this one as soon as possible. Should be able to do it in the next two weeks.
Cache lid is cracked and contents are pretty much destroyed by the elements.
Last one for day and a great afternoon of bike riding. Quickly located this one but needs maintenance the cache lid had perished in the weather and is broken and was full of water. TFTC
A great late afternoon walk from Idus Martias to grab this one. Nice area that you wouldn't know is so close to civilisation. Emptied the water from the old container (although the lid is cracked so it will fill up again), then found the second container to sign the log.
Thanks - an interesting area to poke around.

Cache #3 for today.
Having scrapped my plans for a trip down south I decided to do a day of 'Next Closest Cache' and I let the adventure begin having no clue where I would end up going.
Found this one with no troubles but the inside was full of water and the container cracked. This one is gonna need some help

I was surprised to find two caches, but when I opened one and found it full of water I realised why there was a second one. To keep the log dry. TFTC.
Yes, nice bit of bushland here. Log is now in separate screw-top container.
This area is called Gossan Hill referring to exposed mineralisation on the surface somewhere!
In spring it is a great place for wild Australian ground orchids including yellow donkey orchids, spider orchids and I have seen a few bearded orchids here also.

Hey got this one but it was soaked. I couldn't leave a log as there was no dry paper.
#664 - 19:55; Another evening cache run, although I was doubting the wisdom as I listened to the tree at GZ creaking as its upper reaches moved against each other in a strong breeze. Thought I might be the subject of some fore!nsic science if I was ever found! The new log was snug and dry but the old container adjacent to it was full of water, so drained and left it there. TFTC even though it was a bit spooky tonight Fore!
Beauty. Need more caches like this off the beaten track! And a great day for with Geowifey! TFTC
Came up from Hayden Drive at the end of the biggest day of caching so far. This was number 56, I think. It was starting to get dark so that roo nearby seemed as though it was about 10 feet tall! So after that welcome I found a water logged cache and then on returning it, I found the updated and evidently correct one sitting right next to it. Not a very scientific approach to this find, I'm afraid!
Anyway thanks for all your great caches Fore!
Cheers

Found on an early morning walk with Kay_Jay. Arrived at GZ to find two caches??..one hidden (without a log), one not (with a log). Signed the log and hid both caches.
TFTC...another great Fore! location.

fearlessly followed Mrs. M from mnjontour this morning. Lucky there wasn't a cliff along this walk as with her nose stuck in her phone and frantically watching the distance to go decrease i'm certain she wouldn't have seen it coming.. this geocaching world is a funny one. TFTC.
Nice walk, though not with the scooters. Found cache, but pen didn't work to sign log.
Decided to go for a wander after work on Friday and see how many caches I could find in this area on my way to an art exhibition opening ... Found another one, probably didn't quite have enough time to walk over to this one, but I did anyway (with "Science" in the name - how could I not? ... besides, it was a really nice walk ... and I just made it to the arty thing before the nibbles and wine ran out
Brought some TBs for a visit (didn't drop any because I couldn't remember if I had one I didn't still have another mission planned for - one needs a photo with our new puppy we picked up the next day, another needs a photo at local skate park, one wants photos with other spiders and I keep forgetting to go out in my back yard and find a red back
Took the Texas Bluebonnet geocoin clone, hopefully I will be able to drop that off somewhere else in the next few days.
I too found one cache container hidden and another sitting out, almost on top of it ... but at least the location means they are a bit less likely to get noticed if (when?) they get uncovered again.
TFTC - nice walk in an area I really should have explored sooner

I burned a lot of petrol circling around in search of a public access to the park, which is enclosed by private properties. But after that, I had a nice walk and made an easy find. TFTC.
This was a bit odd, there were 2 caches not hidden at the base, one had a logbook, one had items. Signed logbook and hid caches in accordance to hint, not quite sure what was happening
My second this morning. Alas, no log to sign, though - seems to be missing. TFTC!
I was repairing some ceilings at the school, so between coats of plaster drying I wandered up the hill to do some caching. Why is it that I find the nice easy to walk on fire trails on the way out and bush bash thru the wet scrub on the way in. If it was easy everyone would be doing it I supose. Thanks Fore!
Located a spot to park quite close where we could go through some public access to the cache. Nice.
After a little bit of a search we found the cache, well two caches really -- there was both a larger container and a smaller container at GZ. Checked the contents of both, and the smaller one had an even smaller container inside holding the log and both the containers had a few swaps in them, although the bigger one was a bit waterlogged.

Was a bit of an unusual GZ with 2 containers...and a skull to greet us. Not quite sure what the deal is, but I loved the shell muggle story, fantastic "You guys are freaks" LOL. TFTC.
TFTC! beautiful bush met lots of maggies that were still being friendly (not for long though!!)
After not grabbing this one for quite a while, this afternoon over lunch I decided to see if I could find it. Working in Bruce I was nice and close but opted for the geomobile to get me a bit closer as I was short on time. After driving to where I thought would be the closest parking place to GZ, I found that I had no access to the area so back down the street for somewhere to park. Found a spot a few streets away and started to walk to GZ. It was then that it occurred to me that I would have been closer just walking from work!
It was a nice day for a walk along some nice fire trails and I used my sense of direction to head towards gz. Now my sense of direction is pretty impressive and Geowife has noted several times that using it is sure to take us the longest way and today was no exception! After having a nice stroll around the bush I looked at my GPS again, made the necessary adjustments to my trajectory and successfully found GZ. I was sup prised at GZ that I found what appeared to be 2 seperate cache containers! upon opening the first there was no log but a few swaps and a wet piece of paper with only a few legible words saying "no postcards". Upon opening the other container I located the log and signed away.
Overall it was a nice way to relax over a lunchtime on a nice winters day.

Lovely short walk in the bush. Fitted this in during half time of Geokids soccer game at Radford College.
Funky cache now with two boxes. Great that way Dino had more choice for his swap this morning. Cache all good log is fresh and dry, we emptied some water from the big box. Thanks for the cache Fore!.
Once the frost had thawed we headed out for a day of caching. This was a nice quick find after doing a nearby puzzle cache. We are a little puzzled about the fact that there are actually two containers here at GZ. The larger of the two has a great deal of water in it, which we drained out. Fortunately the log was in the other container so the log was dry. TNLNSL TFTC
This cache is doing fine -
Raspberry Vinegar replaced the log on an after-school saunter.
Huxley and I have visited it and checked it too.

Quick find after deciding a bit of exercise would probably be good today. So a bit of bush walking we did. Thanks for the cache and for making us exercise.

9.30pm 11 Feb I headed off into the dark with my bike light. After finding cache 'Idus Mardius' it was good to have another hidden so close by. It was a beautiful walk with most of it on the fire trail - easy walk easy find. Looks like the lid has been fixed and all was intact. As I live just down the road it was great to go for a fun walk after a long working day. Thx Fore!
After school the Raspberry family, took a walk up a hill to replace a cache. Armed with our new container and the trusty GPS we headed up Gossan Hill. A quick and easy find we replaced the container. Little did we know that there was a HUGE huntsman spider on the old container! A HUGE scream from the Raspberry Chicken and a quick drop and kick and we were on our way back home old cache in hand. Then there was a creaking sound from the tree and the small raspberries wanted to move off quickly. Unfortunately we did that in many different directions, a few cooee's and we were back on track. Thanks Fore!
Great cache but the lid has broken. left some swaps but they may get wet with the state its in.
