Hello,
It is Rana Pirica, the geocache maintenance frog, once again hopping through your area to check on geocache maintenance.

This cache out of action for immediate future - just too busy to get back to it
Sorry for the delay everyone - this slipped off my radar.
Checked today - the cache is definitely gone or sunk beyond reach.
Will endeavour to replace this week.

DNF at 10.10am. Interesting display once we could find a spot to park. Picked up the clues and headed off to GZ only to be confounded by a wandering GPS. Had a look at the hint, but still couldn't find anything. It was very cold up here on a clear but slightly breezy morning. Nice views to.
Thanks time librarian - hope you can check it out soon.

Attended this uni for three years yet i never stepped foot in there. a nice place to visit. i did the math and hubby and geo kid 2 went in search of a cache but came up empty handed. found the clues indicated yet it was empty . tftc any way
First DNF of the trip . Had a great time looking thru the displays at the museum. Thought we had it all wired with the final co-ords in place, then meeting some of the said mammals after the walk up the hill until we arrived at GZ. The GPSr had been a bit scatty today but was pretty close, so after finishing within a jump of the hint we thought the cache was in hand. But no, after checking a number of possibilies and cleaning up a bit of rubbish, we conceded defeat and wandered off for a rethink. I think I'll keep an eye on the cache posts to see if we were the odd ones out, or if others experience the same problems. Thanks for bringing us here anyway. Cheers
It's been a while since this cache was found, so we made the effort. It was well worth the effort and most informative. Cache is till dry and kangaroos are friendly.

Damn! Sorry eatmorchikin, yes UNE is closed between Christmas and NYD - I will amend the description accrodingly. Apologies.
I was really looking forward to giving this one a go. Arrived at the university to find that the zoology building was closed. They must either close for the Xmas break or for the Uni break. Maybe a note needs to be added for other cachers attempting this in future as it reads that it should have been open. Thanks anyway.... .eatmorchickin and stigglepot from Brisbane.
12.15pm. Had to ask how to get into the building. Did I miss the sign? Some interesting exhibits in there. Sraight forward find once I had those coords. Thank you. David
Lovely walk up the hill. The plastic bag was cactus so I replaced it with the one I keep my COMPASS in! Too small to leave anything in.
Enjoyed finding this cache very much. In the four years I have been coming to the uni for res schools I had never noticed the Zoology Museum. Views from where the microcache is hidden are some of the best I have seen of the Uni and Armidale.
Found with Wayward Rambler and my Mum! I really like the idea behind this cache. The musuem is interesting and, I get the feeling, rarely visited, so the cache is a good way of getting people there. The final hiding spot is a good choice. TFTC
Found by MaPN and Mapkids. Great cache we really enjoyed this one. Thanks time librarian.
This was a nice little cache with that something extra. We like the educational value of this one. We found all the mammals and moved on the GZ without any troubles - however on a lack of communication (between us Smelly's - she thought I signed the log and I thought she signed it) we think the log wasn't signed. Nice cache and thankyou.
I was with kids and we had to be very quiet as there was a lecture going on next door. Being still was hard for them since they enjoied the small exhibit. The actual cash was easy to find though it was a bit harder for the kids to walk along.
Found while on a two week private chook fancy (show chicken) tour traveling through Rosewood, Warwick, Armidale, Uralla, Tamworth, Woolomombi, Grafton, Lisemore, Byron Bay, Tweed Heads, Currumbin, Hamilton, Caboolture and Beerwah. I'm from Chehalis, Washington. This is the first find for Marianne and Steve from Atascadero, California, and they found it exciting. We enjoyed the free narrated Armidale Heritage bus tour to get here from the motel. I recommend taking time to go on the campus walking tour (visit the library for a map) and to check out the Museum of Antiquities on campus. Nice hide, thanks for bringing us to this site.
Took us a little while to find one of the little critters but got them all in the end. Thank you for a unique cache
Problem # 1 - Parking vouchers required!
Problem # 2 - No empty spaces for visitors cars AT ALL.
Just as I was wondering what to do, I saw a 1/4 P - with NO restrictions. That was all I needed. In I went, got the info (I knew by sight all except the first), then back out and off I went to find the cache too.
Nice idea - well done

Went out with the tribes and hunted me some mammals - got them too. A well hidden cache with some fascinating stuff to see. [TL - maybe mention where folk can park for free at the uni, caching shouldn't incur any 'entrance fees' - thanks, RE]

This is my first ever geocache excursion and it was an easy example of what will become a fun and exciting pastime for me from now on. Thanks to mr_mark_dollin for sharing the experience!!
Very clever geocache. Almost left in disappointment but eventually found it ok!!

Lowered the difficulty ratings - glad the cache is being found and enjoyed.
Hi, I hoped I was going to be the FTF for this cache, but when I got there I found that Muzza was No. 1 and Hemmo was No. 2, both finding it today also - so I was Number 3. A great cache to find, and very easy. Very cute first animal required for the solve ! Cheers from Ruth [BlueGumTrees].
I was at the University conducting 2 days of training. I popped out at lunchtime, gathered the required info from the library and then headed out to GZ. The cache was found easily and there was no-one else's name in the log book.
I have now returned home (to Melbourne) to discover that Hemmo has also logged it today. It looks like I got in in the nick of time to claim FTF. The University of New England has been a happy hunting ground for me. The last time I was here I was able to claim a FTF on Booloominbah.
Thanks for the cache, and the education in Australian mammals.
