Out for a fund day of caching on some of the bay islands. All caches were quickly located and our names added to the logs. TFTC
Out caching today visiting the Bayside Islands with joojoo57 and Selva Girls. Great weather hopping on and off the ferry of the 4 islands we visited. Found the cache and signed the log as JARS. TFTCGiving a FP for it being a oldie cache
Great day to be island hopping and finding caches along the way. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches.
Out and about early this morning with the Moreton Bay adventure lab series as my main objective. Landed at the marina not long after 7am having never been across to this group of islands. It was a glorious morning for it and i managed to pick a few trads as well.Still have a few more to find when next in the area.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found by fellow cachers.Cheers
Thanks for the placement and smiley. Checking out the area and this was reason enough to hop off the ferry.
I've been here once before and it was missing. It's good to see it was replaced to keep this oldie alive. Thanks for the fun culture50
Chamad and I both had a spare day today and were looking at options for a ride as Mr TT9 usually enjoys a ride more than Miss TT11 (who was off on scout camp). Chamad mentioned taking the bikes on the ferries and doing the 4 islands to complete the new AL. I have often thought of taking the kids to Coochiemudlo to do caching with the bikes, so this seemed like the perfect practice.
The weather was hot but perfect. Some of the hills on the islands were a bit much for Mr9, but he pushed through and gave it his all. There was a lot of whinging and giving up at times, but at the end he actually said he had a really good day. So did I.
A reasonably achievable ride to gz. (After the last one on Russell Island being so far away).

So a while back, I had this great adventure and thought what a great day’s outing it would be for me and the girls. We could take the bikes, island hope on the ferry’s, grab a few caches in the bay and do an adventure lab as well. Should take approximately 4 hrs of caching plus a lunch and drinks ok 5 hours. We could have some lunch at one of the islands and even take in a swim. Well life deals some bad cards some days, so the idea got shelved. That was until I got a phone call from triple turmoil saying she and Rylie had a free day and was at a loose end, hmmm. So I pitched an idea at her and the next thing we were set.
Today we did just that, jumped on the ferry and went to Russel first, grabbed the adventure lab and then a lonnng bike ride to grab a cache. Back on the next ferry to lamb, easy grab a cache and a couple of labs. Back on the next ferry to Macleay, grab a couple of labs. Back on the next ferry to Karragarra. Here we had a swim, a bike ride and finished the days outing, labs done, caches done, awesome. The ferry service was just great and the operators were very helpful in telling us what to do with our bikes.
It was a very nice day and a great days outing, thank you to the CO’s for the caches and the lab. We signed all logs and were happy to find all caches today.
This was a great ride, we did not realise it was an older cache until we got here, awesome thank you.

Out and about on the bike collecting caches on the Bay Islands and completing the AL along the way.
Lamb was the second Island of the circuit and the cache was soon in hand after a short ride. i then managed to find a more adventurous route back to the ferry.

I started the Southern Moreton Bay Saunter Adventure Lab over two years ago. I figured it was about time I finally finished it. This included a trip to Lamb Island so of course I had to wander out to this old cache which was found in good condition. It was nice out here today. Thanks for the cache and thanks to all those who have helped maintain.
Cheers

One does not head to Lamb Island (for the Ad Lab series) and not pick up the Q500 on the island! This is an oldie and a goodie, and what a fabulous location for it. I enjoyed my time out with K&F, and mini-OBC. We all loved the day - it was very much #enough. Thanks Davidwazza for replacing this one.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I spent the day exploring Southern Moreton Bay Islands, and targeting the *Southern Moreton Bay Saunter* Adventure Lab. I had not visited these islands before, and it was actually easier than I thought travelling via the Bay Islands Passenger Ferry, and we then explored the four islands: Russell, Macleay, Karragarra and Lamb island. The smaller islands were more enjoyable with less vehicles and more quirky houses, whilst the larger islands just felt like suburb extensions to the mainland. We stopped off for an ice-cream at Lamb Island, whilst after riding a fair distance in Russell Island grabbing a geocache, we stopped for a late lunch, before returning back to Redland Bay.
We had a good search around for 10-15 minutes, and like others before us, we concluded that this cache had been muggled, since those finders before us had remarked that the cache was reasonably quick to find. A previous DNF-er had messaged me, knowing that I was coming over today, to bring a replacement container, and perform maintenance on behalf of the CO, since it was an oldie geocache, and the CO was no longer active. I did message the CO nonetheless to try to obtain permission, but did not get a reply at the time of my visit. I did place a new geocache container and logbook back to where I think it should be, hoping to keep this oldie 02/2006 hidden cache alive for a while longer. For those looking to find this, I've attached a few photos - it is a decent sized medium sistema container, and I've placed behind the fallen tree stump, covered by natural camouflage, and a few rocks as a telltale sign of the cache. Please cover well. Should the original cache still be there somewhere, or if the CO would prefer that I not replace, then I'm happy to delete my log. Thanks culture50 for the cache placement.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

The clue 'near a fallen tree' is not at all helpful as there are many fallen trees. Hasn't been logged as found in nearly a year...so maybe gone?
Was a hot 31⁰C day walking to the cache. We swore we hail the first vehicle we see on the way back to the ferry.
Not a lawnmower or a tractor but a decent 4wd rescued us.
TFTC culture50. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

We missed the ferry so made the best of it and wandered out to this one. Easy find now a race back to the ferry
18/9/19 1:10 pm Find #2722
It was Wacky Wednesday but both my usual WW caching partners were unavailable today. So the lovely Fangsoki decided to be my honorary partner today, and take me to Karragarra and Lamb Islands between school hours.
Having been to Karragarra first, this was our next stop. A wander up past the little convenience store, and Fangsoki remembered a shortcut through to where a now archived cache was on the way to this one. We did stop for a brief look for it before continuing through more Fangsoki shortcuts (yes they worked well right up until the bushbashing end) until we arrived at GZ.
At GZ the container was located quickly, with Fangsoki sending the cache guarding itchy caterpillar into the stratosphere so I could open the lid. Then it was time to high tail it out of there to get back in time for the ferry.
Thanks for the cache culture50.

Tougher than our last one! But made it more exciting when we found it! Took something, left something new.
Great little find smaller then expected. It does not need maintenance so that can be removed. Mozzie spray is needed. There was a couple of little things in there still, left something didn’t take anything.
Quick easy find. Think I was just lucky. Co ordinates 11m off for me. About 5m off the path. Cache 4 on our inter island trip.
Was out and about on the bike today adding smiles on the map and today the target was find all the caches on the Southern Moreton Bay Islands . We rode from the jetty to GZ, while exploring some of the island along the way. Once we arrived at GZ the search commenced. After 10 minutes the cache was found . Deserves a favourite point. Thanks for the cache culture50 . TFTC!!!
Time for a return trip to the islands with teamdfl, and again we are on the bikes [^]
Ferry ride number 2 and the real island hopping began in earnest. We waved at Macleay Island then took our 2nd stop on Lamb Island. We've had a DNF here so were keen to make a return visit. We did a bit of a scenic tour trying to reach GZ, but there is a very straightforward way in which we eventually found. And this time we discovered a better hiding spot and got the find. Out for a day on the geocycle, island hopping with IolantheK today. Back for another go at this one.
I did not remember this one until we got to GZ. It was a lot less jungly today. I remember much more bushyness and vines and plants and stuff.
It was different enough that we were able to spy a fallen tree that I do not think we had even noticed last time.
Nice quick find today.
With a long wait between ferries we stopped for lunch at the cafe near the ferry. A huge plate of fish and chips that fed both of us. [^] We had a few friends join us for lunch too.
PS you can remove the needs maintenance attribute. All is well with this one now.

Today stortigirls (well me and one geoteen hostage) went on an Island hopping adventure with RhoBoCacher. We enjoyed the ferries, the lovely weather, discovering the Islands, and of course embarrassing the geoteen. Cache was found in good order and log signed. Tftc culture50
Out with Stortigirls and one geoteen and our plan was to go Island hopping and this was our last for the day as the last Island was just too much of a walk lol, so after finding the other one on this Island we had a short walk into the bush realised we were going the wrong way backed out and walked down what we thought was going to be a road however it ended up being a grass track. Once we went down there the track turned into a bush track and we followed right up to gz, not long after we found and the geoteen also found a makeshift tent just behind gz, which was a bit weird TFTC
Mossies check! Fallen tree check! Oops other fallen tree... container smaller than expected but good cache. Swapped pink star glitter for rock pet. Now cache has 2 pets rock keeping each other company. Good find on a rainy day with geo-doggie, seeing_spots dad & NZ visiting relative (Zak). Thx for find.
Just about to give up as it hasn't been found for a while and thought it may have gone, but as there were no muggels about decided to keep looking.
We had spiderweb all over us and also worried about ticks, but soldiered on.
Then Geo son, said 'There' and pointed into the bush to an obvious spot, a bit of bushbashing and sure enough there was the white rock and cache.
Thanks for bringing us to this Island, very quiet and peaceful. TFTC :^D

Out and about with Blake (now 4) for a bit of a boat trip and some exploration. We ended up on Lamb Island and went in search of the two caches on the island.
I had Blake on my shoulders for a bit of the trek over to this one. I had him on spider web lookout and gave him a stick to way around as we went.
Thanks for the cache culture50. Cheers!!

What a great result. A cache that was missing has been rescued.

Not feeling very well, still, but I was going a bit stir crazy after a few weeks cooped up at home, so I convinced Fangsoki to take me to the Bay Islands for a little wander. (well, ok, he doesn't take much convincing). Never been here, so worth the look. The sun was out, the wind was down, the sea air beckoned ... so off we went and caught an early ferry to Island number #3, from Karragarra to Macleay to Lamb Island.
After some misadventures getting here, we found the right way in and onto the mentioned track that takes you right next to GZ. At GZ we found two spots close enough to each other to be as referenced in the hint, but as others have noted no cache. Having expected that we'd contacted the CO prior and with his blessing have replaced cache with a sistema, hidden off the ground (roughly waist height, there's a whitish stone on it) ready for the next finders.
Thanks for placing this cache, culture50. Left in good condition.

Pprime and I were visiting the Bay Islands and noticed that a "Needs Maintenance" had been placed on culture50's cache. Rather than expecting him to go fix it, just so we can get the smiley off our map.. we decided to offer our help to Mr Culture50 in replacing it for him.
Mr Culture50 gratefully accepted and gave us a bit of information about the hide. We can prepared.
Reading the logs, I am thankful we didn't approach the same way as a lot of other people. We made the journey from the Lavender Lagoon more difficult than needed. The pair of us somehow missed a road that would have been more direct. We must be going blind.
We followed our GPSr's and found the correct path in. We noted there had been water through the area... which is a bit alarming I guess. We arrived at GZ and decided to start our hunt for the missing beast.
After about 20 minutes, and waking Captain Terror up to get his take on the situation, it was decided it was indeed gone. Pprime prepared a new container and we signed the log. The new container is a 200ml Sistema.
A lovely little island.. and very quiet. TFTC culture50. All good to go

Hi there culture50,
Your cache "Aqua series-"Lambs revenge"" was last found on 8/02/2014, 549 days ago, and has had 4 DNF's since that time..
Is there any chance you could do a maintenance run to confirm if it is still there - - and replace it if it isn't.
If that's not possible then please archive the cache so that the spot can be freed up for someone else to use.
Regards
Ian & Penny

No luck. Came in from the inland side, found mud and plenty of fallen trees but no cache.
teamdfl and I are tripping around the islands today, making use of the Redland Bay ferry service. Very pleased they let us take our bikes on board!
This newbie bike rider's legs were very tired after the ride around Macleay Island, so I was glad the two caches on this island are at a much more attainable distance from the ferry We had a little trouble finding the right way through to this one but we both ended up at GZ eventually. However, although we searched an awful lot of fallen trees, no cache

Not having much luck with this series today at all. I expect this one is still here, but we could not find it. Lots of fallen trees to search around, but none of them were the right ones for us.
Not my day. Checked fallen tree after tree stood right on the coords but no joy. Doh
Trudged through the undergrowth for this one as we came from the ferry and took a short cut!! It was a good walk though. SL. TN. TFTC.
What a pleasant way to spend a sunny day, out on the deadly treadlies with Captain Terror. We had made plans to boat hop our way around the islands bringing our bikes as transportation to the ones that were quite a distance from the jetty.
To start with we took the very worst approach to this cache, but found some wild cherry tomatoes growing. YUM! A quick back track and a few more turns of the wheel and we had found the track we were looking for. We made our way to GZ and found the cache quickly. Thank the faeries as the local mozzie population were moving in to attack.

Cache #2 on our Anniversary day out.
Tigey ventured in to find this one, retrieved returned to show the rest of the family then took them back in to show where daddy had found the cache.
On the way back out Piglet heard a bit of a noise and looked to see a 2m python right at the edge of the path. It stayed in the ready for action watching us.

I was Walking my Dogs when I saw it, was very surprised to find such a magical little box, still deciding what to add to it and where i am supposed to put it now, do i replace it in same place or find another? .... Oh ok I get it now, I will definately put it back where I found it!
Wow what a great idea guys!

Found the cashe; a huge spider was sitting on the container! Took the badge, left a connector. Thanks for the cache!
A great day out island hopping today when we stopped off to grab this cache. Took the wrong route in and stumbled upon something interesting. After we got that sorted, we found the better way in and cache was soon in hand. TFTC.
This one had us doing some serious cross country and with what looked like flood damage we were ready to give up when we spotted a clearing and another path. Once we were on the right path the rest was simple. The cache looks pretty good considering it had such a long wait between finds but the bag is in poor condition. It was not made better by our visit as a spider had made the bag it's home. One of us had to open it with a stick while the other stood at a safe distance. Yuk. Thanks for the hide culture50. I hope more people will visit. It is a lovely little walk when you get on the right track.
Really enjoyed my day geocaching with Ozymru for the day. Lots of trees. we went wrong way but got there and found it.
Thanks for the hunting.
Thanks for the hunting.
We got to this one from the water while on a day's aquacaching in the geotinny. Had to clamber over magrove roots tro get there which was a bit of a challenge but we got there and the prize was soon to hand. Coords good despite tree cover.

To be truthful today the caching log book did not get filled in as MrsMad was too busy gossiping to all the different cachers that we met with. Thoroughly enjoyed all their company so much that writing in my faithful geocaching diary went out the window. Mr Mad just kept track by the GPS calendar - so I'm sorry I know we did no swapping and I know we found the cache but can't write anything more interesting than that. Thanks for the cache - we had a great day out!
Found on the Island Time cachers event day.

Just couldn't find it. GPS was struggling with the tree cover and we went too far off the track according to others who described location later. An excuse to go back!
We were battling along from Lavender St Lagoon to this cache when we found we had to do some bushbashing. You could see that others had also. So we did. We get to the cache and find a nice well defined path right next to the cache area. Mr MadMyers had the cache in hand in a jiffy. WEe travelled back along the path, and realised we had 20 minutes to get back to get the ferry we wanted. Made it with about 5 minutes to spare. keight and Mongy are about stuffed by now (trying to keep up with Mr MM and Fehrgo)
Too right about the mozzies! In the short time we had at GZ, we were devoured!

Visited Jabes7 today with Mrs Lat&Long and Bedmaker. This cache was quickly found. That spider was still there. Caused me to do a minor spider dance, but s/he is a fast one, and was gone before I could embarrass myself too much . TN/LN/SL. After meeting Chloe and Simon, and having a cuppa, we decided on lunch on Maclay Island, so that's where we headed next.
What a nice spot of bushland on Lamb Island. The boys were the first to find this one today. Glad we had the bikes to get from a to b as it would have been a long walk otherwise. We enjoyed a cuppa with Jabes7 in her part of paradise. You certainly walk into another world when you get off the Waterbus. TN LN TFTC
1st ever Geocache found! Honestly was giving up, muttering under breath how stupid to do a 3star for 1st try, cursing at incredible number of mossies despite spray etc, when found it. Closest cache to my house so felt I wanted to try it first. Big spider jumped out of surrounding bag causing me to shreik loudly, luckily not alerting anyone as this is in the bush. Didn't take or leave anything as no stuff yet. Could get hooked...
I have been very remiss at logging this trackable. It came for a visit to this cache a little while ago.
Even though we were all wearing the trusty aeroguard the hungry little succers didn't seem to mind. Once disturbed by the removal of the cache the mossie dance started. TFTC.
Well we arrived around about GZ and Sue from HH, myself and geohubby followed the arrows on the GPS unit. Next thing we hear is the 2 youngest geokids yelling found it. Note to self think logically first. Oh and yes the mossies where exceptionally bad. TFTC.

Today was the day to sail the bay with a real Pirate - how excited Denise and I were !!!
We've had this planned for a couple of months now and have been looking forward to our big day out very much.
Aqua series - 'Lambs revenge' was our eleventh and last find of the day aboard the Black Skull.
This turned out to be quite a dash. We tried to sneak the Black Skull up the passage but the tide beat us so it was time to see how the Pirate's legs worked on terra-firma.
We made a dash to the cache and got pretty lucky - we found a couple of great litttle tracks and short cuts and found the cache quickly.
Thanks to culture50 for the cache.
We had a great day on the bay with the Pirate today and as we were DNF free and thereby spared the plank, we'd like to dedicate the following poem to the skipper!
The autumn wind's a pirate,
Blustering in from sea;
With a rollicking song, he sweeps along,
Swaggering boist'rously.
His skin is weather-beaten;
He wears a yellow sash,
With a handkerchief red about his head.
And a bristling black mustache.
He laughs as he storms the country,
A loud laugh and a bold;
And the trees all quake and shiver and shake,
As he robs them of their gold.
The autumn wind's a pirate,
Pillaging just for fun;
He'll snatch your hat as quick as that,
And laugh to see you run!

The third caching experience of our excursion to the islands with THENANKS and Broc today. Even on this wet day we had fun finding the cache. Didn't take too long either. TNLN. thanks culture50.
THENANKS had geo nephew/cousin Broc and team "Liz and Bruce" with us today on an island hopping, cache hunting adventure. We enjoyed the walk from the other cache on this island with the 3 boys on bikes, Mumma NANKS chatting with "Liz and Bruce" and Dadda NANKS in his own little world with the test cricket plugged into his ears.
The race was on between the geoboys to find the cache and Broc was the winner! [^] He is getting good at this! Tom was all muddy after trying to read a sign while riding past it at a rate of knots. He ended up slued across the path which was rather wet and slippery in the drizzly rain! But he was unhurt and still talking and laughing!
We took nothing ang left nothing here today.
Thanks to Frank and Sue for the cache.

I was out and about on Moreton Bay in the kayak today. I stopped off at a few nearby caches and couldn't resist the stroll to revisit the Lambs revenge [:o]
My incentive was to retrieve a certain geocoin in which I have a special interest
I took the "If: you can meet with triumph" geocoin and dropped in "Handy Andy" travel bug for a visit

[OH MY GOD!! DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS AT ANYTHING LESS THAN HIGH TIDE !!!] I attempted this on my jetski at 1/2 tide. Got stuck on mud/shell bank - stuck for 5 hours. Tide ran out too fast. Had to get a friend to help me LIFT the ski 40 metres and still had to wait for the tide to come back in before I could get the ski out. Plenty of wild life (saw it all while waiting) crabs, molluscs, eagles, stingrays, plenty of fish, and one idiot stuck on a jetski for hours. Couldn't get to GZ - but will go back again soon and complete this one!
