Determination pays off! After going back-and-forth and back-and-forth, I decided to read a few previous logs. Thats when I realised Id have to attack this at a lower level on my hands and knees. HUZZAH! The find was made. Thank you for bringing me to this beautiful spot. The beach is truly glorious. Fav point from me.

We spent the morning going uo and down the sand dune and decided to head back along the beach instead of heading inland. As such, this cache was in a very convenient spot for a break as the dune certainly takes it out of the kids after a while.Found without any issues. Thanks for the cache!

Loving camping at Brooms Head. Been in the area many times for work, but never got to stay here overnight. Would really love to come back & do the whole Yuragir Coastal walk some time. One day.

Nice easy find but we didn’t have a pen on us so we did our best to scratch our names into the paper with a stick tftc

08-Mar-23
On a walking trail near the beach,
Known as Brooms Head, within my reach,
I stumbled upon a hidden treasure,
A geocache waiting for me to measure.

With birds chirping and a comfy seat,
I knew this find would be a treat,
Excitement building, heart racing fast,
I reached the spot, hoping it would last.

But a mistake I had made, I forgot my pen,
So I couldn't log my find there and then,
The cache description promised a pencil to see,
But despite my search, it was nowhere to be.

Though I couldn't log my find that day,
The geocache discovery made my way,
To this lovely spot in nature's embrace,
A memory I'll cherish in this special place.

So to all the geocachers out there,
Keep exploring, seeking and finding with care,
And if you stumble upon a cache like me,
Make sure to bring a pen for the log to see!

Another beautiful day to get out and explore more of the region. Today, we headed down to Wooli, followed by Minnie Water, and explored the national parks in the area.

Heading back to Iluka now, another detour into Brooms Heads. Didn't have time to complete the EC's but did enjoy the little walk to collect this one.

TFTC !

01-Mar-23
First failed to find in 2020 and again in 2022. Today, success! And no crawling required. I thought it needed a better log that the paper napkin currently in use, so added a piece of paper.

07-Feb-23
Petty about the shrub that has taken over the view from the seat. It needs a haircut

07-Feb-23
Pretty spot with a beautiful beach to cool down in…… also found some of my favourite things to collect!!

02-Jan-23

22-Dec-22
#337 First Aussie cache! Found during a short break in the area. TFTC

06-Oct-22
Knowing for some time that we would be staying at Brooms Head I researched local caches and there was this one. Is it there or is it not, well recent logs looked promising, so off I went.
Got attacked by plovers, slipped on the cardigan pathway, at GZ I was set upon by voracious mossies, and despite a glove and a kneeling mat I’ve got a bleeding hand.
Anyway, I found a container in a spot previously described, is it a decoy I thought and that’s when I sustained a bleeding hand looking further in amongst the scratchy bushes.
I logged this on some paper within the container, decoy or not, and given my advancing age and the trials I’ve been through, did I mention the climb up and down the path, I feel I earned it.

04-Oct-22
Enjoy the swag, I left some to make the retrieval worth the dirty knees.

03-Oct-22
Great spot

30-Sep-22
Found replacement cache under rock just behind the signpost. Please cover well and BYOP.

10-Aug-22
According to past activities this cache appears to be missing, so After conversing with the CO they agreed that I attended to this cache and has now been attended to, so thanks Liz and Brian for FTC.

02-Aug-22
Could the next geocacher attending this cache please take along a new container and be prepared to do some maintenance to keep this old cache alive. With our thanks Liz and Bruce. We are currently in the Mojave Desert in the USA.

29-Jul-22
Unfortunately I think this cache is dead, Judging by the last few Activities even though the difficulty is a 2.
I did do a crawl in shot way but like the last log It was a bit above my ability at 73yo.
We came a long way to Broom Head So think these caches should be a little easier to find.

21-Feb-22
Looked for this two years ago and could not find it. Brought a replacement container today and still nongo. Then looked through the activity log and found references to crawl space. Sorry, but at my age crawling is not an option.

21-Jan-22
Tried paper road approach on bicycles but perpendicular road to coast does not exist. Best approach would be from headland coastal walk path.

11-Oct-21
If any geocacher attending could take along a new small size container as the existing is cracked. Much appreciated kind regards Liz and Bruce

30-Sep-21
Damaged container, but nice little cache.

25-Sep-21
Found it. But the container is eroding and being eaten. So it needs replacing. And no pencil or nicknacks

12-Jun-21
We enjoyed the seat at gz after finding the mouse-eaten cache container and signing the log. The quietness of this area apart from the natural sounds is wonderful. Thx 4 bringing us here.

Found at 2:18 PM GAFF?
Another one of these long outstanding caches that we should have found many year sago, but never managed to get to them. After doing the nearby EC, we kept on going to this location and found a very promising little set up with a memorial seat (lots of plaques of people that loved this place who have since passed away - but the view from the seat is totally obliterated now by the growing coastal whatever it is called bush!)
The search was then started and even a serious crawling in the wet leafy undergrowth was conducted, but nothing was found other than a few very old bottles and cans of beer and a "Willow" plastic lid that looked like a garbage bin lid.
Now I am totally amazed that this cache could have been muggled, but a call to the CO and permission was granted to replace the cache.
So the cache is now behind the aboriginal sign with the dingo - about a metre in and the GPSr will indicate 4 metres to the right when facing it.
Thanks Liz and Bruce.

06-Jan-21
Came along with ilook4geo to find this cache. Found OK but after getting in and signing the log, had to stay in place for a while till the passing muggles had gone by. Didn't want to get caught backing out of there. Area smells fine after the rain. Thanks go Liz and Bruce for placing this cache which is in very good condition.

06-Jan-21
Came along with goingplaces2 and made a find here. Cache retrieved, log signed, job done! TFTC.

It was quite hot here today, and Oliver had left his hat in the car, so had mine, and I was getting baked. The shady spot of GZ wasn't much cooler either. I spotted something that seemed to match the cache name, so crawled on in and came up trumps.
Someone had placed a lolly in the cache, which has messed up the inside of the bag and an old log. We've discarded all this, the cache has two of the newer logsheets and pencil still, and a TB we've added. TFTC!

09-Oct-20

28-Oct-19
TFTC great view from here

28-Oct-19
TFTC found after 2 previous attempts. Great view from here.

28-Oct-19
New log sheet added. Travel bug taken to move on.

Wayn0 and I tried this whilst on the area finding the ECs but had no luck. Both of us looked around for a while and the hints in the last 2 found logs didn't help either.

12-Oct-19
We couldn’t find this one..

18-Sep-19
Yeah hunted around checked previous log.....good tip tfth

31-Aug-19
The most challenging of the caches tackled today. Not the walk to it, that was quite pleasant but the retrieval of it.
The clue is no longer relevant either and after crawling around checking under every rock I finally found it under a very large man made object.
30 seconds after I crawled out from dealing with this one two elderly muggles turned up and sat on the seat, how close was that. Any future finders would appreciate what the hell I was doing in there!!!!
Unfortunately no clean sweep of the area though as we DNF'd on Witch Beach.
Thanks.

04-Jun-19
I visited this baby again and replaced the log which was sodden and useless with just a sheet of paper, so the next player might take a little notebook. I left a tavelbug which I brought home from the Med (Twinning Friesenried - North Walsham) and which would like to travel further in Australia and beyond. I left a scratchie too. Good Luck with the scratchie!

14-May-19
Nice walk to GZ, stopped where we thought it was going to be and soon had cache in hand. Took TB to help it on its way.

found while in brooms head. thanks

26-Dec-18
Smile nice day for the beech. TFTC

13-Nov-18
No luck for me here today. Did the headland walk and found GZ had a familys bikes and stuff stashed here, so didn't want to appear too shifty in case they could see someone loitering near their stuff. I crouched and looked where I could and saw nothing obvious, though I suspect I may have needed to get my hands dirty to make a find here.

Not to worry, the main reason I'm here is that beautiful looking beach below so I should have no problem finding that.

Cheers Liz and Bruce, it's good to know a cache is still sitting here waiting for my next visit to be found.

23-Oct-18
We enjoyed our walk to the beach and grabbed this cache on our journey. tftc.

14-Feb-18

31-Dec-17
Another wonderful coastal spot that Liz and Bruce have placed a cache. Took a little searching but finally found. Did collect a tick - take care and check after your search. TFTC.

31-Dec-17
Nice spot, sign this cache previously but claiming now. TFTC

30-Dec-17
Having camped at Brooms Head, there was no way we could pass up a nearby cache (after we had downloaded an offline map from Cachly as there is little to no reception in these parts - which is nice too

17-Oct-17
Out caching with The Mercs1 and The X-Trailers [Who replaced the cache for owners]
Luckily didn't find any ticks and I crawled everywhere.
Great views from along the trail.

Great views from up high onto the beach

17-Oct-17
Could not find it, despite 4 pairs of eyes. Geohusband managed to pick up a tick from crawling in the undergrowth. Does that count for anything..... ha ha!

01-Oct-17
5 people looking and no luck.

19-Aug-17
Gotcha - At last. Finally after making a 'gofor' it and of me. I felt like had gone into hibernation. Anyway, I got to add it to our list if finds.

25-Jun-17
We parked at the lookout and took the short walk along the coastal walk to the next beach. A number of other people were using the path but when we neared GZ there was no-one in sight. It was not easy reaching the cache as the undergrowth has grown a lot since it was placed, and involved a short crawl under bushes which unfortunately left me with a number of very small ticks that I am still trying to remove. Thanks Liz and Bruce for anther great hide in a brilliant location, we loved it. I took the largish TB because it was easier to close the container without it.

28-May-17
Log book is restored, a little the worse for wear, but serviceable.

27-May-17
Found after quite a search. Log is saturated- I have taken it to dry, and will return it tomorrow 28 May. The cache is in place, though.
And like the man said: Trust the coords!

12-Feb-17
Well hidden trust the co-ordinates

20-Jan-17

13-Jan-17
Nice stroll along the waters edge, TFTC.

24-Dec-16
Love the spot but wow not quite where the cache was expected to be. TFTC

13-Dec-16
Our last cache for the day. The weather has been stunning and Geohubby, Miss12 and I had dropped into Brooms Head for a drink and an ice-cream after a kayak at Sandon. "There's a cache just down the road" I said. The other two family members rolled their eyes, but we were soon on the headland walk. We reached GZ. I need to go where? Okay, lucky I am small in stature, at least nobody is going to see me looking for the cache. I had a bit of a rummage around and after a few minutes I came up with the cache container. Yay! Log signed, pictures taken of the lovely view and it was time to head back to our beautiful camping spot at Minnie Water. TFTC Liz and Bruce, a nice one to finish on Big Grin

14-Oct-16
Found this one while on a drive out from our campsite at the national park. TFTC

11-Jul-16
Beautiful walk, stunning views. Took a while to find. In a great area though not likely to be disturbed by anyone. Found trackable Geocoin PCTT04

30-Jun-16
No luck out here today. We spent a good 30 mins looking around but no stump and nothing under any rocks we found.

30-May-16
Yea, got it this time. All good inthere.

30-Oct-15
This one has not been found for a long time so it may be missing. If the next geocacher attending is able to replace it in the event they are not able to find we would greatly appreciate it. With thanks and kind regards Liz and Bruce

29-Oct-15
Found the rocks, however no cache.

Found on 5-7 with Melissa, tftc!!! Nice one!
