***** REVIEWER NOTE *****
Hi secretsquirrelnz
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me by 21 October, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks for your understanding,
Regards,
Zero Gravitas

Either we are blind or have been outwitted by the Taupo Scout Group! Finally used the clue, which was where we were searching & still couldn't locate it. Also looked further afield but no luck. At least we now know where the scout hall is!
NZ trip cache #19 / Dissapointment #1
Found the remmnants of the cache, the laminated geocache info sheet. Been muggled, near by under ramp was a pill container a cigarette light and a pill. not a nice find.
such a chame this thing happens. was intending to hide a Australia scout Geocoin here.

The Police had this cache in their hands but have replaced it. I found it not in the original position so placed it where I thought it should be. It will need to be checked out.
Had no badges to swap but had a son in Scouts and 2 daughters in Guides.
Cheers for the cache.

This is a great idea for a cache. It has been 40 years since I was a boy scout so we didnt have any badges, however we dropped off a Travel Bug instead and hope that it gets picked up soon.
Nice and easy drive-in cache. Annari found the cache as I was still looking on the wrong side. Greetings from Austria,

A nice concept for a cache. No swaps today. Caching with Edvern whilst in Taupo for the holiday weekend. TFTC
Found this one, but made no sways just signed logbook. Nearby neighbours were very curious as to what we were doing.
A good easy find. Cache was found by my Niece (her first find ever).Removed TB Troop 185 Travel Bug.
Hubby used to be a cub scout leader when we lived in Weymouth, Dorset, UK. So he enjoyed finding this cache. He can't wait until our 5 year old son is old enough to join a local group over here in New Zealand! Maybe he could introduce geocaching to them too!
[Figured out where it was and the hint confirmed it], but was faced with a locked gate. [Is this cache only available during certain hours or on certain days?
I did not know about the GeoScout caches before this. Seems like a great idea and they make trading badges much easier than the old days.
Cheers]

The gate will be locked but you can walk right up to it any time just not take the car. it is about 20m from the gate, I also wornder if you where on the wrong side of the building?
Nice easy find whilst leaving the rest of the troop to settle in after checking into our motel for the night. Great idea and my best wishes for it's continued sucess.
Nil in or out, signed log. Many thanks.

Excited to find a Scout cache during our trip to NZ. We're sorry we couldn't leave an American scout badge. We weren't prepared. We left a USA penny and gel pen. Took Founders Day badge and will send to our cousin in Texas who just made Eagle Scout and has completed a geocache project for his town. We found this on 1/1/07 at lunch time.....very rainy!
Met two friendly kids at this site...one said she was a scout here! Took a scouting tool...left some magnets and pins from Canada. SL TFTH TFTC
Found the cache after several wrong turns...streets never seem to do what the GPSr wants! We read the Baden Powell plaque. Thanks for the hunt. This makes 300 finds for the graniteers! TNLNSL
Found this after analyzing which was the correct answer to the clue. Left kindness coin. TFTC From the USA but living in China
1st find for 2007. Nice to see Scouts involved in geocaching or is that geoscouting? TNLN T4TC.
Quick and easy find. As a Scout for many years this cache fascinated me. What a great idea. Hope you end up with lots of great badges.
In 1979 the Auckland Scout and Guide Associations combined with Boys and Girls Brigade to hold an expo at Greenlane and we have left one of the Badges from this event. These badges must be getting very rare now.

07:25 Well no luck on this one, I didn't have the hint so that might help on our next visit. Thanks for the cache.
Sorry it took me so Long!!!! I found a lot of the badges stolen. So come and swap.
Was there at 12.30 hrs. The one spot as in the hint was full of dirty clothes and rubbish(scouts unworthy) and the other spot gate closed and my arms too short. Red now in the logs of the unavailability in October. It is now mid November! NZ scouts are very slow!!

found by Minimac - a scout. this was a must do cache on our great school holiday road trip. We had brought a badge with us especially. It is from our scout groups golden jubilee that happened this year. They were made especially for the occassion so there won't be many of them around to swap. Minimac took the Taupo badge for his collection.
Thank you so much for a very special cache.
Yours in scouting - Mrs Mac (Jill McCaw, Venturer leader), Minimac (robert McCaw, Scout), Num1find (Alex McCaw, Venterer)

Nice One!!!!!! One of many caches on a great family holiday from across the "Ditch". You brought back many youth memories from the 1940's. Wolf Patrol, Troop 22, Newfane, New York, USA. Thanks
Really nice idea to put a cache at this place. after a long car trip we needed a walk and so we looked for this cache.

1st of two found on the way to work this morning. Felt a bit guilty skulking off round the back of the building. Thankfully cache found quickly.
Left a district badge TFTC.

I felt rather exposed to locals' gaze as I approached this one but thanks to B&Bs co-ords I quickly got to the right area only to find my arm was not long enough to fetch out the cache. However a bit of ingenuity solved that problem.
Sorry, I had no swaps for this one. T4tc

Found it today, almost missed it, as we headed to the wrong side of the building. Found what looked like a likely hidey hole, reached in and under but no luck. GPSr stated we were a few metres out, which would have put us in the middle of the building, so resorted to hint. Yep, our discovered hidey hole matched the hint - but no cache. So explored the building and found another match on other side. Reached under and bingo! success Left a few old Brownie Badges, including "Walk a mile in another girl's shoes". Took nothing. Great to have visited this cache at last. Thanks.
Ha! Cool! We aint scouts so no swaps for us. Coordinates were a bit off for us, attached are what our GPS came up with...
did alot of caches today on our way home to tauranga , most of them due to the rain they were impossible to sign the logs.

Heading down to Ruapehu for the weekend for a scout snow camp so had to stop here! It was well after dark when we arrived so tried to shield the torchlight as best we could to minimise the chance of the neighbours thinking we were breaking in. Sadly we forgot to bring along a badge to swap so TNLN. Thanks.
No one around, but I guess anyone there would know what I was up to . TNLN. Cheers - M@
Had fun driving around the streets trying to find the Scout Den, thankfully the GPS led us here, we thought you were somewhere else. Interesting badges in the cache, our sons were both Scouts many years ago.
We left a 2004 JOTI badge that we found in another cache
Took a Taupo badge. Thanks.
Good Luck with your Cache.
