This has been missing for a year, no maintenance by the owner as far as I can tell.
Nice walk down here, scenic environment certainly.
I only had a very brief look as this cache (going on the logs) has been missing for a year, with no maintenance from owner that can be seen.
While I could count the rocks (and did ) that's not what traditional caches are about - hence the "not found" log.

Searched for a while, did not find.
Even with the help of a Victorian lady also searching.
As owner states, maybe blown away. Will send owner an e-mail.

Did not find the physical cache but counted some very large rocks instead. Must have been there a long time to be so rounded so far from the water. Thanks for bringing me out here in this wild sea day
Seeings racking up finds is not on our agenda...we have logged this as a DNF to try and get some response from the CO that they have heeded the logs. Had a 10 min search but found nothing and not too keen to keep searching for something that may not even be there. People should include in their logs whether they found the real thing or just sent the answers. Perhaps change it to an earth cache if you don't wanna maintain the actual cache. On a positive, thaks so much for bringing us out here...its pretty cool.
With an offer to head back to an area that I first visited in the 60's when a group of young families camped on the lagoon in Princetown for many years before the development that you see today.
My very good caching buddies the suscoe's invited me to accompany them starting very early with the weather not the best, not heavy rain rather a misty rain,I know the Irish have a name for this, enough to wet the windscreen and not much more.
Later in the day the sun came out and it ended up very warm.
As I stated above we spent many very happy days camping very close to the lagoon with two other families and each morning we would just stand and admire the view across the lagoon. Breakfast was cooked with this beautiful location in the foreground. A short wander to the mouth on the waterway that runs into the sea.
We have moved down the coast and this guy was next on our list of must do caches.
I cannot believe how many visitors are in the area and it's not even the weekend.
Interesting to note that this guy has been here since 2006 but then I was first in this area forty years before that and have seen a lot of changes.
Thanks for placing this guy NCad.

Suscoe and our good mate Bushfire headed out bright and early this morning for an adventure to the near south west of the Western District.
The day started out cool and overcast with the occasional drizzle keeping the windscreen damp.
Gradually the cloud thinned a bit and we had sunshine at times too.
Temperatures ranged from 12 degrees on the higher slopes o fthe Otways and it ended up at 22 degrees around the Colac area on the long drive home.
We travelled a fair way today and we surprised with the speedo total when we got home.
Thanks to NCad for this hide.
No luck in finding the cache today so we have emailed the CO with the answer to the question.
It was a delightful walk to GZ and there were lots of people about here.

Beautiful location but loads of muggles in the area on Christmas Day emailed answer instead. TFTC
Primile and I enjoyed our day trip along the Great Ocean Road TFTC and cheers from Austria
We stopped by before starting a 6 day hike on the Great Ocean Walk. What a stunning view. Tftc
Bit of back logging from our road trips in December - Couldn't find container so have chosen to email number of rocks in cave. Amazing walk and glad we did it! The ocean was looking so wild today and our imagination ran wild on what was beneath our feet.
Since the cache has been archived (not at the time we found it) the answer is 3 rocks (thought we would save you the admin of an email). Any issues feel free to contact us.
Thanks for the some what virtual cache experience!

On a road trip from the ACT thru northern Victoria, to South Australia then back through Victoria (great Ocean road) and caching along the way. Whatever cache we happened to pass and I was in the mood we stopped to find and log. Some easier some harder:-) TFTC
Looked and looked and looked, nothing. But counted the number of rocks.

We spent a few hours walking around this area arriving at the apostles about 6.30am and finishing up here about 1030. Great walks and a great location with so much to see. As seems the same as others before us we couldn't find the cache but have taken the alternative logging method.

What a great coincidence! Show weekend in Canterbury and the Surf Coast mega at the same time! How convenient! So off to the airport, onto the plane, and over the ditch I went in search of adventure!
After spending the night in Apollo Bay, I headed out along the coast for the day to explore the area. So many amazing places along the way, I had a ball!!
Lovely wet walk to gz, and as per CO instructions, I counted the rocks present. TFTC!!!

DNF. The strange thing is that this is logged as found by many geocachers, but in the log they say they did **not** find it. we think this cache is gone and we ask CO to check if it is there.
Found it together with ravestorm on vacation in Australia!
We came here to see the thunder cave, and with this geocache immediately nearby, why not making some extra effort to stretch the legs. And it was worth it to come here, I wonder how it worked exactly that those big rocks ended up in the cave. Nature can be amazing sometimes... not only sometimes but often!
Reading the previous logs we understood that it would be a difficult mission to find the bison tube. We were 4 persons and searched around for some minutes but there were simply too many hiding possibilities. As our schedule for today was full, we decided to accept the owners invitation to log this cache virtually and we have sent our answer already.

Found together with Schlauchen during our 3 weeks vacation in Australia.
We came here to visit the Thunder Cave and of course we looked for this cache as well. We knew the previous cachers didn't find the cache but we wanted to give a look. We were in 4 but we couldn't find it as well so we accepted the idea to log the cache as a virtual.
I'm still wondering how those rocks ended up in that cave.
TFTC and greetings from Italy.

Thanks for the cache !

Could not locate the cache on any of the bushes so counted the rocks in the cave and email CO. Thanks, long walk with Happy Jackie but worth it.
Hi ncad
Is this how we email you?
Don't want to put the number of rocks on this note if everyone can see it, little pig, little pig

Thanks to strong winds that kept the muggles at bay, we too had a very good look around for quite some time, all to no avail.
Have emailed the rock numbers as testimony to our cacheless search.
Thanks for putting it there, ncad, we'd not likely have gone for that walk in such conditions otherwise, fair weather tourists that we are!

Hi again Ncad..
It may pay to specify in the description whether the cache is on or off the beaten track... It would appear that many cachers have spent quite a while searching the scrubbery, and the wilderness is taking a toll, potentially unnecessarily if it can be retrieved from the path

I had a great time exploring the beautiful rock formations all through out this area. I am visiting from Phoenix Arizona. Thanks for the cache! I couldn't find the physical container, but I have emailed the cache owner with the requested information.
3.5 weeks in Australia, 3300 km on the road and also many by foot, lots of animals - some nice (kangaroos, koalas!) and some less nice (spiders, snakes) -, frosty nights in the Blue Moutains, heavy storms and rainfall, and finally lovely sunny weather at the Gold Coast, many nice and relaxed people: this was a really great holiday in Australia! And not to forget: 80 caches found
It was a quite windy day and, therefore, the sea was spectacular! We did not find the cache but send a mail with the number of rocks.

Honeymoon in Down Under - what a great experience an wonderful time! We were able to travel from Melbourne to Brisbane (including Great Ocean Road, Bendigo, Echuca, Canberra, Blue Mountains, Sydney, Hunter Valley, Port Macquarie and many other great places!) 3,5 weeks in total. Of course we also had to search for some containers and Eclipse-boxes !
Actually we couldn't find that box, but Urschwob got the permission for logging by sending an email to the owner...

On our holiday, xhead and I travelled some weeks through south and east Australia. We arrived in Melbourne early in the morning with the "``Spirit of Tasmania" coming from Devonport. With our small campervan called "Herbie" we drove along the Great Ocean Road, then coming back to Melbourne again and driving on to Sidney and then Brisbane. We explored a lot of places, beautiful beaches, wild mountains and hidden trails. On our way, we could manage to find one or another geocache . Thanks for hiding all these caches around Australia and greetings from Germany, Akirey
Together with Akirey I spent some weeks in Australia. We drove the Great Ocean Road, visited Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney. We also climbed some mountain loke Mt. Kosciuszko and swam in the ocean. Sometimes we searched for a geocache. This one was one of them we could found. a little cache tour and found some nice caches.

Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! We are currently on the first section of our journey, which started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island. We are currently on route to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway (where we are heading to at present) and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. From Melbourne we head to Tasmania for a few days, then back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
We throughly enjoyed the short hike to this lovely location that so many of the tourists miss out on. We have sent our rocks answer to the CO. Thanks so much for the cache!

Not located here today. Muggles got drenched by big swell though so that was funny... TFTC anyway
There are about four rocks in the cave and the cache is nowhere to be found. Thanks for the adventure though!! Enjoy your caching!!
[4938] On holiday in Australia, day 12: The last night we had stayed in Port Campbell to explore the 12 apostles and the coast in general with plenty of time today, before we hit the road again to drive to Port Fairy. It was an impressive day, full of amazing views, awesome cliffs and lovely beaches. The geocaching result for today reflects this "day of the earth", as we visited 6 earthcaches (and 3 tradis).
# It took maybe five minutes to see the little one. It is easier than you think and it not necessary to put bushes aside to see it. TFTC!

Had a good look about but did not see any cache. I was reluctant to go off the path as this is a conservation area and does not do any good if cachers start trashing the undergrowth - so sorry if I did not work hard enough for this. However it was a hot day and the sea waves were strong, rolling in making for some fine photos of the spray round the cave as the waves hit. Many thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
A small halt on the Great Ocean Road to find this cache and discover another beautiful creek on this waterfront. We were alone and had time to find the container, accute eyes are required!. Still, I've got a picture of the rocks.

could not found cache but I know how many rocks are in the cave. Thanks for giving a reason to see the countryside.
Found the container very quickly. Forgot pen which was silly of us (shoulda read first). So photo included. Log sheet is full.
This was an easy find.
We walked to GZ and when GPS showed 0m, we picked the cache up. Previous signature in the log was written several months ago.
Definitely the cache is there and also in good condition.
TFTC, greetings from Finland!

Last cache of of the day. Walked across from the beach over the river, which I stumbled upon looking for a campsite. Didn't find a campsite, but I did find a beautiful couple of beaches before heading across to the headland for the cache. TFTC!!!!
During our holidays spent in Australia we decided to look for some caches during our short road trip from Melbourne via Great Ocean Road to Grampians and back again This cache was a tough one - we were not able to find it but based on author´s advice we are sending him a message. Greetings from Czech Republic. TFTC!
Searched for quite awhile but assume it's blown away. So here's a pic to prove we trekked it
Out and about during the school holidays trying to get the kids outdoors instead of looking endlessly and their iPads and / or Playstations complaining whenever I decided to turn off the Wi-fi.
Kids are waaay too spoilt these days.
After bribing them to get into the car with snacks and Wi-fi to be turned back on later, I decided we'd head down this way to an area I've never been before and while we're here I convert some green boxes and the like into smiley faces.
Haven't been down this way for nearly 10 years. Beautiful weather for it today.
Thanks NCad for the Cache and smiley face

Travelling with K.B. and finally catching up on some logs from our whirlwind tour along the Great Ocean Road. Thank you for placing this cache for us to find. While K.B. toiled for almost an hour to locate the cache, I was content to count the big rocks and set the cache free. Great location, thanks.

Done!! The second one in the GOT! The paper is a bit wet, but ok! An equidna showed us the geocache, maybe he was looking for it too
What kind of cacher am I to come out here without a pen in my pocket?! Ah well - the view is awesome of course and worth the walk and the rocks in the cave are kinda cool... Found thw cache but left unsigned so logging with abandonment and will msg CO with ALR to confirm my presence Thanks for placing a physical cache out here!

Sorry for logging late...
This cache was visited by me either during the one month (February 2015) of hiking/tramping in NZ together with Bärgegumperli or in March/April 2015 while on a bicycle trip across NZ and AUS.
We/I enjoyed geocaching a lot.
Hiking
Hikes:
- Abel Tasman NP: Motueka, Kaiteriteri, Marahau, Inland Track, Separation Point, Coastal Track, Marahau.
- Nelson Lakes NP: St. Arnaud, Hopeless Hut, Travers Saddle, Blue Lake, Waiau Pass, Thompson Pass, D'Urville Valley, Lake Angelus, St. Arnaud.
- Arthur's Pass NP: Mt Brown Hut, Styx Valley, Browning Pass, Whitehorn Pass, Waimakariri Valley, Jordan Saddle, Hut Spur, Arthur's Pass, Mt Aicken
- Bridle Path
The weather conditions were great for tramping almost every single day. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the peace in some very remote areas and the many friendly people we met on our way or in the different huts.
Cycling from Dunedin to Auckland
It is not my first tour with this bicycle (map with long loading time).
Places along the route: Dunedin, Otago Central Rail Trail, East Manuherikia track, Tekapo, Fairlie, Geraldine, Oxford, Waipara, Hanmer Springs, Jacks Pass, Island Saddle, Picton, Wellington, Homedale, Hutt River Trail, Masterton, Pongaroa, road near Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu, Waipukurau, Fernhill, Taupo, Whakamaru, Tirau, Hauraki Rail Trail, Kawakawa Bay, Aukland.
After one month of perfect weather (see above) I finally got what I had to expect: Some rain... And sometimes stron headwinds. That the route was not flat at all meant usually that the landscape is great .
*
Cycling from Melbourne to Darwin
Places along the route: Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Penshurst, Edenhope, Jervois Ferry, Sedan, Tanunda, Crystal Brook, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy, Uluru/Ayers Rock, The Olgas/Kata Tjuta, Mereenie Loop, Alice Springs, Karlu Karlu/Devil's Marbles, Litchfield NP, Mandorah, Darwin.
Along the coast the weather was often wet and cold. The small roads in Victoria and South Australia were very pleasant to ride despite a lot of headwind. This changed as soon as I reached the Stuart Hwy to sometimes strong tailwinds. That's why I had some "spare" time to ride a loop in the Red Centre. Further north
As in NZ i met some awesome people.
*
Guess what I did while waiting for a connecting plane in Perth?
Greetings from Switzerland / Gruess us dr Schwiiz
*There are a lot(!) of caches which I did not search while on the bicycle trip. The reasons are mainly:
1. Stopping slows if one wants to get somewhere, especially on bridges where no one wants to slow down a fully loaded touring bike. Yes, there were quite a few days with >200 km on the pushbike...
2. Riding or resting next to a loaded (recumbent) bike attracts in some areas so much attention that stealth mode is not possible.
3. On rare occasions I rode during the night. If I had to do that there was no time to search for caches anyway [:-(]
4. Some places I did really not consider worth stopping for a cache... Sorry.
Thanks for showing me this location and the cache!

Sorry.
Thought we may have missed this one so didn't bring a pen. Foumd nice and quick.
Thank you for leading us to this beautiful area. It was a great time to observe the coast with in a very windy athmoshere with some sunny moments - and nearly no muggels.
