Pulled up near GZ on this one and Wow!, that certainly is a magnificent tree. Must be as old as the hills, if only it could talk. Flicked through past logs and decided to not even bother getting out of the car. This one must surely be missing or at least a check-up as per previous Needs Maintenance logs.
We stopped to admire this amazing tree but after reading previous logs, we didn't bother to search for the cache. TFTH
Agree with previous hunters. Its not there. We searched for way too long before giving up on this one. Then checked previous logs. Blast!!.
We saw this one on the way to Cleveland and thought we would tackle this one on the way back. Well we found everything but the cache . Beer bottles, plastic bags, plastic cups, an umbrella but no cache container. After reading previous logs this has not been found for a while. Maybe a maintenance check would be in order.
Checked the tree, and it certainly have made a magnificent hide for a cache. Didn't go for the container, based on the previous log entries.
Hopefully HawMorFords has the chance to maintain this so we can get our hands dirty here, again!

I agree with Gunnie on this one. This one is defintiely not in its nook (there was something extremely unpleasant in the nook though - thankfully I have hand santizer in the car!).
This one needs some love and maintennance methinks.

Dropped by this morning for a recce... I was kinda hoping that I would walk away with a smile and add a comment about the cache still being there to taunt the recent DNF'ers. Alas, I was not so lucky. The cache is not where I found it. I can't confirm it's not there, but it is not in the nook that I pulled it from last year.
Massive tree revisited yet again (once every coule of years is enough).
No luck this year!

Moneydork wanted to show me this cache. We had a hunt. Didn't find it. Met a nearby muggle (this is quite late at night) and explained geocaching to him. Very impressive tree. Cheers Gav
DNF !!! Three of us looking today but will seek advice then re-attempt at a later date
A second attempt at this one and another fail to find….. Grrrrrrrrrrr

Arrived at GZ with Ms Wig and Herbz and were immediatly taken aback by this tree. Two thoughts:
1. Spectacular!!
2. Oh No!!!
Well, we searched for quite a while before giving up.... I will put this on my watchlist, won't mind returning one day!!
Thanks for showing me this tree HawMorFords.

What an amazing tree. Thanks for showing this to us although even with 4 pairs of eyes we still couldn't find the cache. We'll definitely be back! TFTH.
I gave up on this cache but I had a muggle cousin with me who found the cache in a matter of seconds. And I'd just looked in that spot. Great hiding spot. I don't know how I missed it. TFTC
Found it No. 3034 ... I thought we might be too after looking at what was in front of us ... TNLN TFTC
We are on holiday from CH CH NZ,and this is our 9th so far. What an awsome tree.We don't have trees like this back home.A very clever hidey hole. And with no one about,we enjoyed the hunt.TN LN TFTC Cheers Barb & Terry.
No luck with this one today , alot of activity next door, which was putting us off. Also possum trap at the base of the tree. Will come back again. Great Spot .
#4510 Found this cache as part of a recent brissy raid along with Steeba and Big Matt. Wow! I'd love to own this cache. It would be ever changing. the roots would tighten and the hide would get harder etc etc.
It took us some time to locate but that didnt matter as we were in amazement of the tree. Thanks for showing us this spot.

Found this cache with steeba and The Rats on our 2010 Brisbane Invasion Trip. This was our 4304th overall find.
Found at about 3:22 PM. What an amazing tree, we looked and looked and just as we were about to give up the cache was spotted. Great one!
Thanks to HawMorFords for the cache.

Found with The Rats and Big Matt and as The Gangsters on our Brisbane invasion trip.
This was one of the best caches we did in Brisbane [^].
What a cool spot . After a good search we spied the cache. I'm sure it would also look good at night all lit up. TFTC!

Around 6 of us were searching like mad and still it took us about 15 minutes to find it.
Yep! That was a cache, where we needed some time to look and search. And it is a nice spot too!

I have spent way too much time at this location previous so it was with some relief I was happy to see Gunnie pull this one form a spot I was sure i had already checked.
I am pleased to report the site is in a much better condition than the previous visit as almost all the old bottles and glasses seem to have been removed.
All told a great hide in a well know local attraction. Our new German friends Tasdevil & Taswombat specifically asked to go to this one so it is a world renowned cache indeed

Glad that we had tagged along with Gunnie69 after our day out on Stradbroke Island - otherwise we might still be there looking for the cache. Another magnificent example of these trees. TFTC HorMawFords
YAY... finally turned this one into a smilie... After a failed hunt with Svn07 earlier this year, I returned very early this morning, only to be defeated again, although, mainly be the lack of light this time...
During a day on Straddie, I convinced other hunters to tag along and have another look... Didn't take too much convincing though as they had not found the cache either... [^]
So, with Ruzzelz, Just a Trifle and German visitors tasdevil13 and taswombat13 (don't ask about the very obvious Australian usernames) the container was revealed... It didn't come easy though as most of us circled the trees and looked in every possible hidey hole... I even looked into GZ three times before I finally spotted the container... BUT, it's now a smilie and I can now sleep at night...
Cheers Hawmorfords.

What an amazing tree, difficult to know which, if any, is the original part.

A pleasant Anzac morning stroll. What an amazing tree incredible to think it has outlived all the brave guys who went ashore at Gallipoli. Left a poppy in their honour.
Found this very beautiful tree and it's little secret together with mecky75. This was our first cache in Queensland on our holiday trip to Australia from Hamburg (Germany).
Thank you very much for showing us this amazing tree and hiding this lovely cache, othi.
Thank you very much for showing us this amazing tree and hiding this lovely cache, othi.
Radnoski and I searched high and low for this one. Finally came up with it. Waiting for muggles to begoned was just as strenuous. TFTC!
I put the wrong co-ordinates in the Garmin and headed the totally wrong direction. Some young muggles were getting up close and person across the road under another big tree.
Once I realised my mistake I headed the right way and the cache name made more sense. Wow!!! That is one big tree.
I searched all the spot where the cache wasn't and Fangsoki came up with the goods. TFTC
I left a couple of cache dwelling frogs and grabbed the Mr Scatterbrain figurine. (which today seems appropriate)

Have passed this tree so many times, knowing full well that there was a cache to be found. Had to be convinced by Gunnie69 it was worth the hunt. Guess he was wrong this time as the cache would not reveal itself.
Possibly won't look for this one again....but I do always admire this tree.

No luck today for Svn07 and I. We scouted around for about 10 minutes, conciously avoiding the muggles in the nearby house and over the back at the cafe... Looked in the places we could get access to without being spotted but, came up empty handed... Will be back anothet time...
Been a while since this cache was visited. Have all the cachers in that area already found all the caches? What a wonderful tree and a great spot. Not too many muggles about as it's been pouring with rain. Found GZ on second turn around the tree. Nice hide. TFTCTNLNSL.
It's been 2 years since I was here last but this time I virtually walked straight up to the cache. Can't imagine how I missed it last time. TFTC
Wow! What a great tree. I'm so glad I was caching with The Marble as she had found the cache while I was still deciding where to start looking. TFTC
PHEW!!!!!!! take us approx 20 mins and found cache.. oh thank god!!!!!!!!!! clever hide!!!!!!!!!!
Thank god it was quick to find. It could have taken hours with all the hiding spots and muggle traffic. TFTC
Found as a member of family team Wonder Wits and now logging under my own caching name. TFTC.
Geoson spotted this one after I reminisced about my time in this neck of the woods waaaay before they were born. Glad I got the kids to wear shoes. TFTC HawMorFords.
Found at 1210 With Marg. This type of tree always worries me when I approached them because there hundreds of spots it could be. We found it OK but just as we were going to return it, a car pulled up right next to the GZ. They moved off quickly though. Cache OK and dry. TFTC.
This cache took us a while to find as there were so many spots to hide. There was 4 of us looking for this (my family) and sister was the one to find it and in her excitement, shouted out for all to hear...'Found it'...had to look non conspicious while the log was signed and replaced. Left TB
Took some finding but M located the right spot, this is an amazing tree! Thanks for the cache, Andrew and Maryan.
What a magnificent old tree. After parking I read the cache notes a couple of times and then found GZ. After a few minutes I managed to spot and feel something and had the cache in hand at 1050hrs. I found it a lot quicker than I thought I would.

Very difficult - so many places it could be hidden. Poked around the tree for about 15 minutes before giving up.
Found after a quick walk through the pub. We had driven past previously and geoson commented the tree would be a good spot for a cache. Fantastic tree.
Entered into the book of LEDGIN'S. What a great old tree. I have driven past it several times but never stopped to look before. Found cache easily enough. checked out the Mighty Shark geo-coin. Thanks madmyers
Thought we got busted here but the sign writing on the ZAP mobile brought him out from under his beer glass.
Phew.......
Left shark geo coin
Hope they dont eat Dugongs

Found this one eventually after a bit of a search and having to wait for a few muggles to go away. TNLNSL. TFTC.
DNF 6 of 7 on a big day of caching with Kholometers. The cache could have been anywhere! We had a bit of a search but came up empty handed.
ByronBabe was here at 1100hrs. Took a few rounds of the roots to locate. Had some muggles nearby so had to be very sly. Great tree. T - Marbles, Bear, L - Ball, Mr Men. TFTH.
For a cache not at ground level it was very close to the ground which made finding it vey easy. Replaced a bit higher. TFTC
Have always loved this tree and even better now that I know a cache in there. It was an easy find and using the bike as cover I recovered the cache, sign the log and replace.

Had driven past here before and decided not to attempt due to too many muggles but today luck was on our side. The cache was quickly located (Thankfully, considering all the hidey holes). TFTC.
Our thanx to the HawMorFords for this cache. Interesting location - at first I though it was a wired banana tree - but I'm a crow eater. Definitely no fruit that I could see or recognize.
Clear skies from TeamAstro. [^]
This is the third find for us in this series. You really need to have a good look at this tree, it is quite amazing![^]
Found with geo-uncle Lat&Long Junkie. We'd looked in that spot already, just not down there? TFTC
Found with geonephew Bedmaker. After exhausting all other possibilities, we found this cache where it wasn't supposed to be according to the hint. It looked like it was put there on purpose so we returned it as we found it. There seemes to be more bottles than tree in this tree. TN/LN/SL
Found at 12:40pm by Mrs GraKez (our 4th one with Straddie Heaven for the day). Straddie took Geocoin, left nothing. GraKez took nothing, left Jersey Cow. Cache was easily seen by public, rehidden a little better.

Found by Mrs GraKez. Mr Grakez and myself didn't even get time to step out of the car before she found this one. My gosh she's quick. Took Geocoin and we left the "cow"?
Found while in Brisbane for the National Square dance convention
It is a small world this one we live in. The prvious night I was introduced to James and Robyn fellow Victorian dancers at a get together after the nights dancing. When Geocaching was brought up (which quite often happens when people talk to me and to all my friends who are not interested in caching let me take this time to applogise for how much I go on about it) but could you belive it this wasn’t James and Robyn this was exambo4u as I found out and with Jonathon in the room as a newly signed up member (toy car) we had a little unofficial geocaching get together on our hands. It was great to meet another team and swap caching stories.
The next day we were all heading out for lunch at the Cleveland hotel so on mass we decended onto gz making the find with Exambo4u, Toy car, Karen, Nell, Glen, and welcoming Jeanette, Terry and Bronwyn to there first ever cache hide. Congulations to Robyn who showed us all how it was done and came up with the goods. A great place for a cache and a feed thanks for the hide the tree looks great and even better at night lit up by the lighting

Second attempt at this cache - and with a tiny (ok, medium sized) hint from jabes it was located today! What a tree! Picked up geocoin. TFTC
Amazing tree! Love how it's grown through the fence! Left a wristband. TFTC
Found it on an exhausting day of bayside caching with Womblywoo. This is one that I could have located while on crutches but Womblywoo beat me to it. Again. Another amazing tree! Left Woodsy Geocoin to begin its journey. TFTC.
Located the cache quickly enough but had an audience watching from the pub so had to bide my time. The tree really is spectacular. TFTH
After a 10 minute search I spied it from a different angle then had to work out how to retrieve it.

This was my second attempt at this cache - I saw Mrs Nanks today and she gave me a little bit of direction to help me with this one, as I was sure I had looked 'everywhere'. When I went back there were still plenty of options to try but as it happens I found it in the first place I felt. Took - , left keyring. Thanks for the cache HawMorfords.
Found easily. Had three non-geocaching friends with me who I'd just told about geocaching over coffee - they wanted to try it. When we got to the cache one lady walked right up to the tree and found the cache the instant we got there. Swapped a keyring (one of the ladies took it) and I put two little girls bracelets in there. Had fun, thank you!!
