Beautiful arvo to be out in these back country roads. All quiet today - not open Saturday at the museum. Thanks Mr Walker

Thanks for the cache Mr Walker.
Thanks for the cache Mr Walker.
Time for some caching on 22/2/22, and a souvenir. Enjoyed the roads and history in this area. Although we have visited Port Lincoln many times over the years, first time to the reservoir. Well looked after area, with plenty of facilities. Bull any central in the parking area near gz. Tftc
Nice to find an oldie. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. TFTC Mr Walker

We arrived at around 10.00am on a Sunday and the gates were unfortunately locked up tight. Maybe another time.
Found on a beautiful Sunday drive, and like previous people we got over the fence to complete an easy find tftc
This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
Today, our plan was to head to the west side of Eyre Peninsula to Coffin Bay, and have lunch there. We enjoyed kilpatrick oysters (hopefully fresh?), before making our way north through Mount Dutton Bay, Farm Beach, and Coulta, and calling into Greenly Bay. We then looped back east through Koppio and Whites Flat, stopping off for a steep hike to North Block also. An enjoyable day to be out and about, with highlights being the coastal towns and views, and hills hike.
This was a cool location to visit to get some nice views of the dam nearby. Like others who had commented before me, we needed to hop over the fence by 20 m in order to retrieve this cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I'm not sure how much longer this cache is sustainable given its location. Thanks Mr Walker for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We thought after looking at the map this might be a bit if a lengthy walk, but surprisingly the gate was open and we were able to drive within 20m of GZ, after jumping the fence the cache was easily found
Today Davidwazza and I continued on our trip of caching out port Lincoln to the best we could, today we made our way from North Shields in and around coffin bay and the back roads. All up just over 50 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

With the cache being here for 14 years now a few things have changed with a fence now being erected leaving the cache on the side of no tresspassing, like others we took the risk and jumped the fence to walk the 10 to 20m to get the cache which was in good condition. At sometime probable needs relocating. Loved the views from here the reservior looking a bit low at the moment but plenty of flowers coming out. Mrs frog remembers family picnics here in her early days.

We had to hop over the fence to get this one, and drive some country roads, but worth it! A lovely area and spot. Tftc
Found easily after hopping the fence. What a lovely area with flowering plants all around. Tftc
Thankfully we could just step over the fence without a climb, then through the brush to find the cache - it was all good, even with a lot of winter rain it was dry, protected by the older container turned over as a cover. Left a lucky Chinese Feng Shui coin. TFTC 2BluFish
Found on 26/01/2020 after several false starts. Outer container needs replacement inner is okay log shows some water damage but dry at the moment. TFTC.
Our second DAY IN Pt Lincoln and it was time to focus on caching in Lincoln itself and potential surrounds. It was a cold and grey day interspersed with rain, which was a bit of a downer when compared to the sunshine of the last few days. Despite this we were able to still able to make a good day of it, finding over 50 caches, though it was also a day of quality as well with some higher terrain caches as well. It was an enjoyable day as we were able to tick off some earmarked caches before we finally finished up at around seven.

That is not a good cache having to climb a fence, it also needs maintenance. We are from wa, was only by perseverance from my husband that it was found
Another day of Eyre caching with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat and Jack.
We went for a drive up away from Pt Lincoln and found all sorts today. This was one...
Went for a long walk in, first find since December!
On the way out we found we could have driven almost by after all. C'est la vie...

This one is currently unavailable as maintenance is being done, you could sneak in after the workers go home
An easy find. Very interesting to learn about this reservoir. Had afternoon tea at the picnic spot. Thanks for bringing us here Mr Walker!
Staying at Tumby Bay caravan park, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
Today, we went for a drive to Cummins and surrounding areas, to pick up a few caches.
Container was broken, log book ok. Replaced container and L: horse.
Many thanks for the hunt today, Mr Walker.

Found in a pretty poor state of disrepair and full of water ! New container needed
As suggested out of bounds and in bad need of help. please fix soon as new? fence had to be jumped over so relocation a priority too.
Not sure it was a good idea to put this cache here
feel you may have put this cache here before fence was put up
Fenced of and gate locked
Felt funny about climbing over gate
Cache is in a very bad state
Previous logger must have felt the same as he documented it on the log
2 cache containers found
1 should be thrown away as all broken and contents destroyed
2nd cache plastic container with just a sheet of paper to sign which we did
Thanks for bringing us here as we enjoyed the chat with the Water worker who lived here and checked out the museum which was very interesting

We pulled up at a great little look out area viewing the reservoir. We weren't sure about where the GPS was pointing so we let it settle for awhile but it didn't change it's mind. Although it didn't feel right being there we quickly signed the log and headed back out to take in the view before heading off to have a look at the artifacts near the front gate
Thanks again Mr Walker for the cache

Found it after a struggle ... there are 2 containers .. we signed the log in the cleanest one.
Found easily on the other side of the fence. Thanks for the new container and that the original is still there.

We decided to pop in after the Yallunda flat show with Anyones Guess, lucky we had a spare cache container as it needed to be replaced, so we replaced it.
thought that we would give this a go, but as today was an severe weather warning day, the gate was locked so there was no public access. wiil give it a go next time i am in the area and the weather is not so hot
Glad people could find this. They have put up a fence. I sent my great nieces in to get it, but it has moved around and they couldnt find it. I will try to get it out and replace the container as well as locating it outside the fence., but it might take a while.
We done this cache on 25/7/09 it was all wet as the lid is bent and not sealing properly Needs to be replaced. TFTC good spot.
Always wanted to visit here. I was never sure how to get there though. The GPSr led the way and I followed gamely. There is not as much water as there could be.
Cache is still wet but we think if the lid id kept on properly it should be fine. Not sure if it will dry out while sealed still. Maybe will check and take another container if we go back that way. Lovely spot!!!!
A very beautiful outlook - thank you for showing us this little treasure Mr Walker .

Couldn't find this one, searched and searched all around the area the GPS indicated but just couldn't find it or any evidence of its existence. Oh well we'll just have to come back again Consoled ourselves with a cold can of drink from the coke machine at the museum down the hill! An unuasul but very welcome facility at a cache location!! espeically on 38+ degree days!
Found the cache at 7.50pm. Again search for while finally found it hee!!! Lovely park - enjoyed wander around the park. Thanks Mr Walker for organise the cache and hunt.

Found this one wet inside, but mainly because lid was off. For those who have not had the pleasure of siting through hours of tupperware evenings, these seal very well, but you must push the centre button in hard and just check the rim of the lid. Once it is closed properly it should be completely watertight, but I will continue to monitor logs for any problems. This was chock full of goodies, which may have contributed to the problem, so I took a couple of wet items out for restoration. Left it dried and sealed.
looked around for a while for this one but my better half found it eventually TFTH

Got out of the car too soon and had to do a bit of donga bashing. Kelley the wonderdog saved the day with his superlative Border Collie nose. Was most pleased with himself! Young Jack was thrilled to find another whale and we exchanged another fish. Again cache was in good condition. Thanks Mr Walker.

No problems here after failing at Todpool.
It was interesting to see all the regeneration after the fires. I was surprised how it varied over quite short distances. The reservoir made for a pleasant view – though I must admit I preferred Todpool!
Took dinosaur, left car and turtle.
Also dropped off frögley geocoin to be near water for a while (though he would have preferred Todpool, too!)
Thanks Mr Walker.
PS TB Theodore the cache hound has been taken but not logged out.
