It was a pleasant walk, some slight off trail bush walking but not too dense vegetation. TFTC
What an interesting remnant. Redeveloped homes nearby and a piece of scrub between them. Great location and learnings available. Cache is still in reasonable condition. Thanks for the cache and
Found myself bush bashing in dense scrub, zipping from tree to tree to find this mysterious lidless container. No luck. Scrolled the logs, checked an earlier photo, which confirmed that I wandered too far off track. Scurry back... Oh yup. There it is. Definitely walked right past it!(Note: You do not need to enter dense scrub to access the cache. If you are, you're probably looking in the wrong spot.)TFTC. Internal container in good condition
A bit hard for us. Very dense, even checked the photo bit still to no avail!
TFTC smile20070 Out and about on a Sunny day caching with geofriends grabing a cache to try and keep a challenge going signed as GS1947 on small logs and to grab a old cache was great, a oldie for a oldie Thank you Rogainer for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Enjoying a beautiful winters day venturing around this local area and picking up a few caches with geo friends before heading off to an event.Have been meaning to look for this oldie for quite some time and had the opportunity today.Thank you, Rogainer, for keeping this oldie in play for everyones benefit
Out today in the area. This one was on my target list and had been there too long.. Caching with RoddyC, GS1947, Snickersallan and imbundaTFTCache Rogainer
Felt like this one was tricky compared to others especially with geocache location not working. Might have to come back some other time
After a lot of mud squelching and bush bashing we managed to find this one. Unfortunately it has lost its lid, and is now waterlogged and infested with insects. TFTC
From Adelaide... unsure of brusque snake habitats, but something I wldnt walk into at home
Amazing find but very hard to find it was probably easier earlier on but now its in a revegitaion area
Wanting to continue my geocaching streak for a challenge, I decided to look for a couple of oldies out this way before the forecast rain. I parked at the top end as it was slightly closer to gz and followed a nice track through the trees before it came out into the open grassy area which was quite soggy after the recent rains. I walked around until I came to a less bushy access point and soon found the cache. The outer container was swimming in water, so I emptied it out. Luckily the inner container with log sheet was dry. Ive put the lid-less container upside down, hoping this will keep it dryer, and placed some bark over it. Tftc
Bush land overgrown. No obvious walking trail to get closer to cache. Plus No description or photos
Me and my little one went out to find find a couple of caches close to home. This one was a nice easy find. We took a little trinket and left some stickers. Comtainer might need a lid if this rain continues. TFTC
Found it but there was no lid but it might have not had a lis to start with because stuff were ina zip lock bag but it is off the trail was very fun to find.
While in the area grabbing a few caches to qualify for a Challenge or two, I noticed this oldie in the neighbourhood. Parked in a side street and after a phone call with hubby, made my way to GZ where I noticed something bright coloured in amongst the trees.
Sure enough, it was the cache. Old logbook on the ground and no lid to the cache container. The new log container is still inside, so signed the log and replaced back into its hide. Neighbourhood kids may know of its whereabouts.
Have covered with nature's camo and hope that will keep it safe. May need a new outer container.

Definitely took the difficult route to this cache, but it’s always worth it! Added some swag, signed the log and decided after this one to call it a night. TFTC! ️
Came via a round about route.
Got there in the end.

After a bit of a search around several trees the cache was finally spotted. Maintenance is necessary as there is no lid on the container & the outer bag does not seal. As the contents were also wet I have added a bag for the inner cache container plus dropped a path tag for the next finder. TFTC
Good hide! Had to take a few secret paths to get to GZ didn't have a pen, so took photo as proof
Thank you, we found it. A bit overgrown but we got there. The container had no lid so what was inside was wet. Snap lock with treasures was there though.
Lots of people out in their backyards socialising today so I felt a bit exposed. Found a way in through the long grass and located the correct spot. Cache is hard to miss really. Quickly signed and back up the hill, via the stairs this time. TFTC!
Ah so here is the part of my attempt at a streak that is getting tricky. Despite being in very near proximity to some caches at south bank today I let them pass me by with the goal of getting some on my way home. Left work on time for a change and managed to forget that I’ve got all the easy ones on my drive home. Stopped by one but it was a quick dnf. This one looks easy. Oh, where to park. Oh no, it started raining. It’s okay, just a light drizzle. Oh down that hill? In heels? Yeah okay because it’s for the streak. A slippery tree root got in my way and all of a sudden I’m falling. Great. My knee will be feeling that tomorrow. Is that lightening in the sky? Fantastic. And then I went falling again. My ankle caught in a disguised hole in the newly mowed grass. Have I said amazing yet?
I eventually navigated to the cache and somehow ended up by my car, albeit a different route. Turns out there were stairs? Great!!
Anyway, a great cache! Much enjoyed! Tftc

Great views of the city wandering to this cache and an interesting bit of bush. Thanks for bringing me here.
Cache might need a bit of repair as the lid is missing. The logbook is fine.

What a lovely little piece of preserved bushland, wonderful for a little stroll! The cache is a little bit waterlogged, but the smaller replacement is in good condition. Tftc!
This afternoon, I parked on the southern side of the CBD to catch up with karicka for a walk in Whites Hill Reserve. After then going for a drive with karicka, we departed ways and I headed west through Holland Park, Annerley and Dutton Park, to then attend an orienteering Night Nav West End activity.
Another interesting suburban spot, and the reserve was in reasonable condition, although there was one spot where I stepped into a muddy marshland area. My coordinates initially had me in some pretty high grass/weeds area, but I soon spotted the cache just on the outskirts of this area. The old cache container is a little worst for wear and waterlogged (with no lid), but the new replacement small pre-form container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Rogainer for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 08/2006 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.

Water logged and everything is wet but it was a good find and lovely walk. TFTC.
Out this way for an event and had an hour to spare. So I had to go grab this oldie. Lovely walk looking into people backyards. At GZ the cache was quite exposed but still there. The lid is missing but log is in a container and in a zip lock bag so all is good for signing. Put some natural camo over it when I returned it.

Very interesting place. Large green area Surrounded by houses. Took a while to understand which tree it is ️
Thanks it was fun didn’t have a pencil tho we left 5 cents from bacon Taco Bell gravy and snitsall
While my daughter was at a course at the Mt Gravatt TAFE, I decided to do some caching. Nice easy find when I found the right tree! TFTC!
i looked in the area and all around the tree and couldn’t find it we stayed for about 20 minutes and then gave up
Out today to grab some caches on the Southside of Brisbane. I was chasing some.
This was the first one today. Nice quick find.

Found with Alex and Sam in tow. Dropped off a travel bug. Cache was completely full of water. Dropped off a 7 Deadly Ducks - Gluttony trackable. Held onto that one a bit longer than I should've... sorry!
Took me a while to find with all of the tall grass around the area. The best one that I’ve found so far with lots of things in the capsule. Unfortunately everything was very wet and dirty from rain so I wasn’t able to write write on the paper. Very fun to find, thank you.
Out with BJA3 for a quick afternoons caching run.
This one is quite epic. After going around the block several times we finally found a good embankment point with a 188 m walk in. Note to self, gumboots next time.
Arriving at the GZ, the cache was quickly located in an upside down position - thoughtful of the last finder as the lid is missing. With having a bit of experience it is not good to place containers upside down, in the dirt, with heavy rain, next to a tree. We carefully picked it up and i thought, okay great, no guardians.
Okay you remember the movie "The Mummy" when the scarab beetles flow out of the floor, well this is what happened here. As soon as I pulled out the soaking log bag there was a flow of big black ants that weren't happy we had disturbed them. Needless to say the cache was dropped and we retreated to let them calm down. Eventually we were able to shake everything free of ants and examine the very wet contents.
Having read the previous logs, we came prepared with a new preform container, dry log and a ziplock bag to place everything in. Once completed the cache was rehidden as found, now safely dry without any guardians, ready for the next adventurer!
TFTC and showing us another spot we didn't know existed!

Rather quick find . Log book saturated and I have run out of zippy bags so my son and I signed a piece of paper and placed it inside the little plastic backpack I left for swag .
Finished work nearby so I decided to stay in the area to grab a couple Q1000 caches.
I wasn’t sure where to start with this one, but it turns out I started in the right place. I parked the car on the eastern side and cautiously walked down the hill and that’s when I noticed the walk wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. After a brief search the cache was in hand, unfortunately it’s in a terrible state and could do with some much needed maintenance.
Thanks for giving me a reason to drop by.

When we walked into the bush I was immediately drawn to the big arse gumtree in the middle of it. I pointed it out to my daughter and as she was walking by yelled out, “I think there is a koala in that tree”. We stood there craning our necks at the blur in the tree that was up so high it must have had a great view of the city.
After zooming in our cameras we were able to get a great look at it. I struggle just to walk up the escalator at my local pub for a beer so I had to give it credit for putting in so much effort to climb that high.
After standing around looking at something we all take for granted is rarer than gold, we made our way to the cache. We made a nice quick find while some Kookaburras were laughing at us. All we needed to see was a Kangaroo and we had the whole trifecta of “K”s covered. tftc

Found with lid no longer on it. Log damp but signable. Placed back upside down. TFTC
Sorry, added message to wrong cache. This one was easy. Beautiful houses around here.
Found this cache pretty quickly however the log and container is drenched. The cache doesn’t have a lid either and needs some maintenance. Thank you for the cache!
An early mark from work and a couple of hours to kill before school pickup sees me driving over to the Southside to finish off the mimosa series of caches and a few as I passed by.
The mimosa series was of particular interest as it fills in some older caches that I have been targeting. It was a great series and one that kept me entertained and took me to a lot of different areas and unusual spots, thank you.
With the series finished I searched to see what else was around the area. With time ticking away I saw 4 nice little trads that I could quickly grab on the way back. This was one of those; I parked near the hide and with a short walk I found the cache very easily due to the hint. Unfortunately I was unable to sign the log as it was very wet, so I replaced all as found and I was off to the next one. Thanks for placing this one here. This one needs some maintenance please.
