Checked the hints for this nice cache, otherwise I'll never get home. Left Turangi a few hours ago and should have been nearly home to Auckland by now but this new hobby has me somewhat distracted!(note: it is no longer in a camo sistema container as per description)TYFTC
Found pretty quickly, once I was at the right tree. Thanks for placing this cache and bringing me here. Found with greermae23 and teamrosenz. TFTC.
Purple from Oz had been intending to visit her cousin here for 50 years. With Darkness, finally got here. While being given a town tour, we realised we were close to a cache ! Tftc
Spent ample time searching the hint area. The amount of rubbish dumped in the area made it an unpleasant search.DnF on this one
Out for another random caching day with Reschedule.Sadly this is another location that has been absolutely trashed, and another DNF, not through lack of trying.
I went on a getting lost adventure today with a friend and following a series of random instruction cards ended up in Tokoroa. We checked out the op shops, found a very cool craft and gift shop and had a bite to eat in a cafe before checking out some geocaches. I was glad i left my car at the roadside and walked in to find this cache as the gravel road was full of pot holes and large puddles. Lots of rubbish strewn about and i felt very wary and uncomfortable when i saw another car about but i did manage to find the cache following the clues so not sure why others havnt been able to find it. The voodoo tramp, Team Datt and going geocaching 2017 visited this cache. Photo taken a couple of trees away from the one the cache was hidden in. Thankyou for the cache.
Didnt take too long to find thanks to the good hint. Lots of leaf litter around today. Tftc
Stopped here for lunch, so thought I'd try again to find this cache, but Nope, it still eluded me. Thanks anyway
Checked this one out today, and sadly it was missing. It seems like a long time since we visited this delightful spot, a quick check on logs shows it has been 7 years! A good record for a cache to look after itself especially in a rest of area on State Highway 1!The replacement is in the spot described in the hint.
Spotted it fairly quickly, even in winter without the flowers to help find the correct bush
Surprisingly large park with a weird ammonia smell today. I love rhodendrons, it would be nice to see her all flowering here.
Geocaching with Kauriforest. An interesting and surprisingly large reserve and a place deserving of a geocache. TFTC
Beautiful trees in flower....didn't know this park actually went back so far. Quick find. Tftc
Awesome lil spot to stop on our way home from hobbiton. Took the 3d printed purple cat & left 3 Swiftmantis art stickers. 5yr in/outdoor vinyl. 1 per cacher pls enjoy. TFTC
Travelling with Pussncat. No 1 for today but more to follow. Once we found the right tree all good. Still dry and a great log book.
We stopped briefly for a leg stretch having seen this come up on the phone. Transferred the coordinates onto the GPS and it pointed to the right spot. A nice tribute from the company to Jim and plenty of space if we had had longer for a quiet picnic away from the few others in the reserve.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Passing through on my way to Taupo. I love the caches like this one that get you to stop for a breather. Thanks
Awesome find , me and my daughter are out and about for the day finding caches ..
Awesome little hiding spot xo left a random whale along with the other random trinkets! Thank you for the adventure xo
Really enjoyed finding this, would've left something in there if I didn't walk over. Didn't have anything in there really but if I come by again, I'll make sure to leave something
Heading back home and this will be the 50th cache of the trip. Very quiet here today. Some of the tracks are muddy or underwater but managed to drive almost up to the cache. A nice and easy find due to the hint.
Apologies to the CO.I found this cache a while ago but stopped caching for a while due to the pandemic, and this find was left as a draft on my app.TFTC
Abit tricky to find but reading the hint helped. Had to google what the tree in the hint was and pulled out the compass to find south east. Loved the hunt
Stopped here for a break while driving home. Never noticed this spot before. Searched for a few minutes at one tree with no luck then tried another and spotted it straight away. Tftc
Took a while to find after a stroll across the park. Searched the tallest one initially and was about to give up but tried the other big one and soon had the cache in hand signed and back in place.
A rather interesting area- one or two people popping in and out for whatever reasons!! tftc
Passed this place numerous times but never knew there was a reserve here. After a quick wander we soon had the cache in hand. Tftc
Took a bit of searching but got it in the end. A nice stop on our road trip from Far North to Christchurch.
#8808. I stayed overnight in Tokoroa and headed out early to pick up some local caches before driving south to Wellington. I was keen to avenge a DNF here in 2017. I have no idea what I was up to on that visit (pretty sure I checked the wrong tree after misinterpreting the hint). Anyway today I went straight to the right tree and had the cache in hand within 30 seconds. Just shows one day you are the dog, the other day you are the post. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Left 2 trackables. Thanks Butterfly_lady & RadioNut50 for hiding it here. Its a nice park for a picnic amongst the trees but a shame locals are dumping their rubbish here.
Stopped off for an impromptu lunch and oh look, a nearby cache. Easy find here thanks.
It's go home day as all good things must come to an end. We had intentions to travel the Napier-Taupo Road and stagger the way North via Te Awamutu, and only stop a couple of times, and so it was, just the 5 finds.
It's that time of year again when we try and get out there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and my birthday the next day. This time we matched it up with a trip to Whanganui to see our daughter and the ever changing/developing granddaughter Kaiah. After the weekend with them we headed to Hawkes Bay for a 4 day stay in Havelock North which started off with rain but fined up nicely and finished the week well. A good break from home and plenty done and seen (as usual). Not huge numbers of finds but 22 adventure labs, the 4 TMGTs in Napier, a couple more CANZ caches and a few Virtuals as well as some other treats, T F T C to all COs.

Flew from Dunedin this morning. First stop after picking up a rental car in Rotorua. Great park but a bit muddy for a small rental. Looking forward to lots of cool places to see up this end of the country
Great spot and found my first travel bug - since I am on a road trip it seemed only fitting to come with. I will see if it has anywhere in mind or it might just go out east cape way. TFTC.
On a trip down from Whangarei to Taupo today and needed to break up the journey with several stops to limber up the passengers sore back. What a good excuse to also grab a cache or two at the same time.
Once at GZ, this was a quick find thanks to the good hint. Dropped off a TB in this nice sized cache. TFTC

It's always good to look for a cache that has been around longer than I have been caching. This was a nice quick find of a good sized container.
Had a good look around what I thought GZ was but could not find the cache. Kept getting tangled in the tree.
Grabbed this one while doing both in the area. Took the trackable to take to Auckland. TFTC
Found after coffee stop with geo hound.Who got tangled in the tree. Walked back to get a TB we have had for a while as it was a good size and have left for it to continue its travels.TFTC
