Ahhh this is tricky! Not sure if it exists anymore. Would love to knowand then give it another go!
Needed a PaF, it seems Im in good company as this cache is too tricky for many of us.Quick and easy find on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. TFTC and adventure.
During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them. We did the projection and searched the area with no luck. After an extensive search we went back to the drawing board and realised we needed to solve the previous multi and project from there and not the given co-ords. Once that was done we found the cache about 10m away from the projected co-ords.
*** draft log for stats tracking, more later ***GCYDKR DamperThree26 March 2024T11:44:24 AEDTTFTC JackRobinSome 24 m out. Targeted this Not Chosen while passing through Melbourne. Took a bit of hunting around GZ before IF spied a likely spot and let out a happy yelp
An expedition with Crystal Fairy & Barefootguru. Most logs signed as BIC to save space and time. 26 March 2024 11:46 Number 13798 TFTC JackRobin This was a must do as caches of this size are rare. We made it harder than it needed to be. Got the info, made some guesses (wrong) then went and found Damper five by sheer bloody mindedness, then we made a 2nd guess at where we should be and came back again. The others had wandered off to where they thought we should be, so I started looking around using 'now where would I put it?' spotted a possibility, and decided to check it out, and there it was! Only noticed the string as I was putting it back!I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.
I was in melbourne for my Bro's 80th birthday who lives at St Kilda so i persuaded him to take me to Ashwood to locate this cache and i am finally checking out what i did while over there altho i discovered i had "lost my photo of one of the virtuals in the MCG which made me grrr. Such it life ! There were 5 in our party - altho the others were not Geo cachers and we did have trouble first with co ords then with location but then ome member saw 'string' and there it was but very wet and not really signable altjough i did tryto press my initials HS in to it . It was great to get this cache that when placed the size was not chosen this is quite a rarity ! thank you for this cache
Today was mostly about the Golden oldies hence these caches were on my hit list for this morning, including this multi. Frustratingly, both multies left me very confused. I could not see anything on the notice board to point me towards this cache. Just like other multi i had to resort to a PAF. Log book saturated managed to ink my name in red waterproof pen cache gaurdian have taken a liking to the container.
We had an afternoon spare, and hadnt caught up in a while, so day1976 and I freestyle cached around the area chosen because it's about halfway between our places.
With help from beknmonts but not day1976 as he brought us to the wrong spot, we finally found it. Unfortunately neither of us had our thinking hats on today so this was particularly hard!

Got myself thoroughly confused with this one. In the end a PAF helped us. I still don't understand what I did wrong, but my name is in the log book!
Well that was a long time coming! After moving to the area in 2020, Damper Creek has been one of our favourite places to come with the dog and baby (both before and after she was born!).
We found DamperOne, DamperTwo and DamperFive without any problem (some great hides!), but when it came to finding DamperThree, we were having issues! Knew exactly what we needed to do, and calculated likely co-ordinates but just could not find the thing! Thought maybe our reference co-ordinates were wrong, so went back and checked the device to make sure we were actually where we thought we were. Result was slightly different so recalculated and got a different but nearby location. Had a comprehensive search without luck.
Thought we would leave it for a while and check again another time. As we are about to move house, the time is now! Came down and again had no luck even though noticed some recent maintenance by the CO. Admitted defeat and contacted the CO and got pointed in the right direction and sure enough, something I noticed but didn't investigate thoroughly enough had the cache container!
Thanks for this one, it gets a favourite point from me because I love the location and the challenge that came with it!

Finally found after 6-7 months of searching! Turns out my coordinates were slightly off.
Thanks JackRobin for a great hide.

Thanks JackRobin for a great hide.

After 6 months of searching a mere 10m away from the actual hide, JackRobin helped me out and I found the Cache!
I believe my coordinates were slightly off, which didn’t help.
Love this series so far; one to go - and I’m so glad I finally turned this DNF into a smiley!

A very fun idea. I believe I figured out the GZ. It led me to a grate. I figure ah the hint make so much sense now. But couldn’t find a string or a cache. As a previous finder said the string was gone I believe the cache may have fallen and is now I reachable. I tried to look through the grate, but the cache may be buried under debris now.
After yesterday's DNF I figured the cache had probably gone missing, but the CO reached out to me and informed I was searching in the wrong location. Once I got corrected of where I should be looking the cache was quickly in hand on the second try.
There is no longer a string, but the rest of the cache is there in great condition and the logbook was nice and dry.
Big thanks to the CO on this one, it was a really fun idea at the posted coordinates on how to get to GZ. I appreciate the quick hint on my DNF. TFTC

Apologies for belated log. Followed the directions and not finding it at the supposed GZ I enlarged my location circle. Plenty of great places to hide a cache, but it wasn't in any of them! I did spend a fair while looking for a piece of string in the trees but that didn't help at all. So back to the GPS and trial and error. I was about to depart having started to become frustrated when I decided one last try. I forgot entirely about the piece of string - it just doesn't exist anymore - and just stood still until my GPS took me to the S and E as per guidance, and there it was. Log signed and returned. TFTC JackRobin, one to go.
The story of my life these days, picking up Manfred. Sir crocodile was wanting a bit of a stretch, so we went cache looking! Thanks for placing the cache JackRobin.
I fared a little better with my calculations for this this one than with Damper 4. Once at GZ the cache was found easily. This is a very pretty bush area with a beautiful walk along the creek.
YAPIDKA! This was a fun series that seemed to challenge my calculating skills it seems given this took two visits as I was about 10 metre out - but then again my pesky phone GPS doesn't always play fair. For some odd reason I did them out of order but either way got there to earn the rewarding smiley. Once again, a fabulous little park in the 'burbs' of Melbs. TFTC and the fun.
This morning I was looking at my GPSr for unfound caches and I noticed this multi. However, I distinctly remember finding the cache a few years ago because I slightly damaged it and more or less fixed it with some blu tack. I remember having an email exchange with the CO about the damage so I must have thought that I logged it.
I thought that I had better do the right thing so I went to the given co-ords today and re-found the required info. I did the projection using my GPSr's "Sight and Go" function and proceeded to my GPSr's calculated GZ. As soon as I arrived there I remembered more or less where the cache was hidden. I also remembered that last time it took me a few goes to get the projection right and find the cache. This time I easily found the new container that the CO had hidden at GZ a few weeks ago and I signed the log at 3:50 pm. TNLN. I then returned the cache to its hiding spot. I used hand sanitiser before and after finding the cache to stay safe.
I noticed that the hint no longer applies now that the original container has been replaced, which was lucky for me today as I probably would have broken the cache again.
Thanks JackRobin for the fun but challenging multi and the well-hidden cache and for maintaining this cache for all these years, since 2006. It was great to return to the beautiful Damper Creek so of course I went for a long walk after finding the cache.

I’m pretty sure I have the right place but nothing found that matches the hint, I’ll return another day.
Having tackled this series in what we thought was a logical order, we were destined to make a return visit.
After doing some homework and checking our estimates we returned today to finish them off.
Our estimate here was pretty good and the cache was found quite quickly.
Thanks JackRobin for this set of multi's which are set up a little bit differently.
Chiefton!!!

So it was an absolute fluke that while searching in the wrong area we found a string wedged between two fence pailings. Eureka we thought as we yanked on the Christmas decoration power cord for the house on the other side of the fence... Oops.
More calculations and wandering to get GZ just right in a totally different area and there it was. String much shorter than it started off I'm guessing and no Christmas lights in sight.
Now with 5, 3, 2 and 1 in hand we have a chance at 4.

Had to re-check as we were unsuccessful on our first attempt to find this one. Only a couple of metres wrong but enough to have to have to search twice. Thanks for the cache.

After looking around GZ for a while with no success, I went back to the posted coordinates and navigated back to GZ to see if I had more luck. It turns out I did, because the cache was soon in hand. All in good condition. TFTC

This was my second time here as previously my maths just didn’t add up. Today though the numbers came together and a short walk later the cache was located.

I very much like this one. I love that you have made the information so very public, yet so well hidden. I love that it relies on more pieces of information to be gathered and I love that despite all the variables and errors that could be introduced it still works. I laughed at myself as I actually almost sat on the cache in my attempt to find it. Very good. Very very good. Many thanks to you JackRobin.
I’ve chased this series for a while now but this one eluded me due to muggle works in the area. This one completes the series for me. Thanks JackRobins for the series, the hunts and chases. SL TNLTB. Left Travel Bug. Dipped my own trackables.
Had some time today to return to Damper Creek. I came here on a school excursion when I was at Narmara Primary School and we tried catching yabbies!
This was the 4th of the five, no luck finding the info, but now I think I’d got ahead of myself looking for string too soon!
Keen to return to the board now as I get the feeling some clever signage was at work that I overlooked...

Out with au.fait, we had success today. We have been here a couple of times, quite close, but one co-ord was out. It was great relief to earn a smile. The cache was totally filled with water, which we emptied out, and left a dry piece of paper with our log. Thanks for the challenge Jack Robin
Out for a late afternoon trip with the lovely echidna44 to collect a few caches. The weather became rather damp and soon my footwear became sodden and my socks squelchy But things like that are no deterrent to a dedicated cacher. After several attempts at this one we finally had some coordinates that looked promising and so it proved. Really glad to have this one smiling at me. TFTC JackRobin
When I got to the starting point for this cache, I had a quick look around for some clue, but didn't notice anything. I then followed the suggestions in the clue, but was a bit lax about taking in all the things, instead expecting to see some co-ords scrawled in a hidden corner somewhere. When that didn't pan out, I went through everything meticulously once again, and then I saw what I needed. Well, it was only part of what I needed. Once I had found DamperFive I had all I required to calculated the final GZ for this one.
Again, as noted in a log for DamperFive, methinks the difficulty rating is a bit low. I'm comfortable with these calculations and I have an app on the phone to do the number crunching, but a D 1.5 is probably too low for what's required. Anyway, it's the CO's prerogative to rate their caches, not mine.
I enjoyed the bit of mental gymnastics required to figure out how to calculate the final GZ in the field. It worked out and the new set of co-ords looked feasible. Thus, I headed off in that direction and had a good look around. After going round and round the mulberry bush a few times (and not finding any treacle), I spotted the container in its hiding place.
The container had a bit of water in it, which I poured out. Fortunately, the log book was still ok (everso slightly damp) and I could add my name to the list of other finders.
While I was signing the log nearby, two magpies came up quite close to check what I was up to. Good thing there were no shiny trinkets in the container, and they didn't seem to take much interest in the two pretty marbles in the box.

Find #3547
I had found one of this series (DamperFive) a few weeks ago when I was in the area but I got stuck at the posted coordinates for the multis. Having picked up a tip from another cacher in the meantime I headed back on Grand Final morning to take a look at the remainder of the series. After finding the two traditionals I had a gut feel where this one might be. That didn't prove correct and I didn't use all the information I had to hand so it took longer than it should have! Having said that once I got to the right general spot my projection worked nicely and I was able to find this one without too much difficulty. The container was half full of water but the double bagging did the trick and to my surprise the logbook was dry. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache JackRobin and a great series in this lovely reserve. A favourite point from me for an unusual approach to revealing the coordinates here.

I was in the area picking up one of the Rabbitto valley letterbox mysteries and I thought I might try my hand at one of these multis. Given my incorrect calculations with DamperFive I was particularly careful to pay attention to that which was written.
I found the clues and pondered just how to use the technology at my disposal to achieve an appropriate GZ.
A bit of jiggery-pokery and a brief consultation with a fellow cacher had me at a likely looking spot. A bit of a feel around as opposed to that advised in the clue (as it depends on the previous cacher leaving the item in visible sight) and the cache was found and duties duly done.
I seem to be coming across a rash of caches which are almost or actually unloved. This was 9 days short and whilst I would have been jubilant when attempting to complete the challenge I now find it a little....sad that so much time has passed between finds in this very appealing bit of bush in suburbia.
Thanks once again for bringing me here JackRobin. I look forward to finding DamperFour in the near future.

Having worked out this one a while back with a caching bud, we searched for this one a little while ago before abandoning the search when a nearby muggle was keeping an extra keen eye on us from his yard. This afternoon while passing the area I decided to try my luck again and after chatting to a recent cacher about this one, I discovered I must of been out by a few feet in our last attempt in searching and I very quickly had it in hand in no time, thanks JackRobin for the cache and the concept, very clever indeed but very sneaky.
I found myself nearby after nightfall after visiting a house a few blocks away (where I now see several relatively recent finders of this cache were in attendance, oddly enough) and thought I'd try my luck again with the muggly residents under the cover of darkness. I saw no sign of nosey neighbours this time and found the cache within a minute, pretty much where I was heading to before being interrogated last time around. Groovy. Again, this was a very fine multi. Have really dug your work around here JackRobin! I'm a little sad to see there are no further JackRobin caches left for me to find.
I imagine I was in the right place. The calculations seemed *relatively* straightforward here. Sadly about a minute after arrival I got a dreaded "what have you lost, mate?" from a neighbour. Not sure I'm particularly keen to return after that. Nevertheless thanks JackRobin!
Finally completed the series. Yay!
This one seemed to take me forever to find.
I have to admit using the PAF option in the end as kept going back to the same spot time and time again!
This time I looked a bit harder at the object in question and, behold, there it was.
I've had a fun time doing the series and feel I have come to know the creek and it's trail users very well.
TFTC and I will be back to wander the tracks from time to time.

This one was quite difficult for me, without having coords to follow. I actually was in the right vicinity, but thought I'd check with the CO, I don't think I would have found it without that push. Thanks

Found with ahomburg and the Mini Welders after:-
Some miscalculation...
Some review...
Some injuries...
Some torchlight...
And some persistence...
Just another classic example of the standard Welder method!
Thank you, JackRobin, for an incredibly well put together series. Today was a case of 'simply' picking up #3 and #4 following my endeavors a few nights ago. Love how you promote geocaching on the noticeboards and simultaneously provide clues for the initiated.
Pure genius!!
With that find, I'm down to a much more manageable 424 caches to go in my 10km zone!

A chance text from The Welder had me out tonight finally completing this series. It really has been a long time come but finally managed it. We met up after work with the welder and the geo kids in tow. This one really took quite a long time to find and the hint had us looking in other locations from where it was eventually located. This was not an easy cache to find, but with quite a lot of persistance, we did it.

Loved finding both sets of coords for this one. We had a hard time finding the actual cache, took 2 visits and a hint from CO. We had been standing on it the first visit just didn't know it. Tftc
Found after our 3rd visit and a little help, great cache series, found with bradman7777 and hergab69
I had a couple of hours free so I thought that I would take a wander over and look at the Damper series. I quickly found the clue(s) and headed off to find the cache. After about 15-20 minutes of searching I realised that I hadn't quite read things properly. I remedied that and now was able to make the find after a quick search. TNLN. TFTC.
This was my second attempt at this multi, but certainly worth coming back for. The first time I was here, I didn't have one of the bits of information I needed, which made it a little hard. Today I parked near WP1, then walked down to Stephensons Road to get said info, and then came back to make a quick find. I'm pretty sure that I would have put my hand on it the first time I was here, and I can't believe that I didn't see it then. The upside to that is that now I can include Damper Three in my Multi Month Challenge, which is certainly needed! Thanks for the interesting twist on a Multi, I really loved how you started Damper Three and four, and the whole series has been great!
This was a ripper of a multi. A definite fave. I haven't seen this type of multi before and I LOVED it. I'm so glad I had Vanessa&Aodh with me as I really believe we needed two heads to solve this. I spotted the first clues (love the 'in plain sight' hiding) and then we went our separate ways to find GZ. I was concentrating on one half of the info needed and Vanessa was concentrating on the other. Lo and behold our paths crossed and we found GZ
Out multi hunting with Hera and we came across our second Damper cache. We both couldn't quite believe it when we found the right numbers, and thought their disguise was very clever. Hera had the right direction to GZ as she had half of the puzzle, while I had the other half. We managed to intersect and find the cache safe and sound. We were beginning to get pretty proud of ourselves, particularly reading the logs were previous finders had been back to find this cache multiple times. We really couldn't have done it without each other! Thanks JackRobin.
I have tried this one a few times but always go confused on one of the co-ordinates .
With a huge help from happy chappies I was able to go to the correct location and find the cache, with two huge neighbouring dogs watching over me from their balcony,
The cache was full of water but the log book and knick knacks were fine.
Thanks jackRobin [:x]
With a huge help from happy chappies I was able to go to the correct location and find the cache, with two huge neighbouring dogs watching over me from their balcony,
The cache was full of water but the log book and knick knacks were fine.

Find #429 @ 5.30pm.
Finally after a year of chipping away at the Damper series, finally able to declare "It is finished!" This cache proved to be the toughest one, not because of challenge associated with creating projections (that honour goes to #4 in the series) but because I couldn't locate the elusive cache!!!
I have been hunting down multis to achieve the geocaching license challenge. This continued to be one of the closest unsolved multi, so this morning contacted CO for assistance. They kindly gave me the information that I needed and so this afternoon, stopped by and after a quick search had the cache in hand. I scratched my head wondering how I possibly missed this!?!?
Cache was full of water so emptied the contents out and after letting the water drain, put everything back together again. Thankfully the previous finder completely sealed the plastic bag keeping the logbook nice and dry. SL, resealed the plastic bag and replaced. Would have preferred to stay and completely dry out the contents but alas, did not have the time.
Thus the Damper series is completed! A huge thank you to JackRobin for setting up and maintaining this cache series. A challenging series in a beautiful reserve, an island surrounded by suburbia.

This one has been on my todo list for ages as I slowly work through this series. I worked out an approximate location ages ago and even had a look then with no luck. I was inspired by mace finding this one so came back this evening after work for another hunt and still with no luck so used the paf option which after a long discussion I was able to find this well hidden cache. One to go now! Thanks to JackRobin for this one.
Finally found this one tonight. I am doing a cache a day at present and am also trying to finish caches that I have attempted or DNFed before. This one fitted the bill and I went back to the beginning to make sure that I had the information right. I almost did but it was worth another look. Then I went with the gathered information and attempted to find the cache. I initially still looked in the wrong places using only part of the information. When I realised that I had more information, I changed my search and there voila was the thing that the hint refers to in plain sight. I was sure that I had looked in that position before but had never seen the object in particular before. Signed log today but didn't swap anything.
Thanks for the cache and the series JackRobin - only 1 more to go.

having left my mind reading cap at home, I looked at the notice board but had no idea what the clue might be
Found @ 5:03pm, find # 3113.
Another great Friday night out on a cache hunt with Biggles1024, but this time it is a Saturday.
After having a bit of a look at this one a couple of weeks ago, which we were on the right track but ended up leaving as it was dark and the dogs close by just would not stop barking, it was time to retreat and have a think about it.
Today we were passing close by and with daylight on our side, we decided to have another look.
We arrived back to where we thought we should be and started to look around, but without knowing anything about what we were looking for made it a bit harder. We thought of different ideas, but came back to the original line in the end and thinking about the terrain rating, I then had a look at a spot, not far away from where we had already looked and the cache's tail was spotted, with a bit of a tug, we had the cache in hand.
I do think the difficulty rating is a little low as we have found caches with a higher rating that are a lot easier to find, but it's a good multi that makes you think a little.
Thanks to JackRobin for placing this cache.

Find #1032
As we couldn't go out last night for our usual Friday night/Saturday morning run, Stemicmitsar and I headed out on Saturday night instead.
We'd looked at this cache a couple of weeks ago, tried a few things but didn't come up with GZ. Doing in the dark made it somewhat harder too. This evening however, we tried a couple of new ideas and after quite some searching, Steve came up with the find.

This took LouiseAnn and I ages and had to PAF TWICE!!!! We did a spot of maintenance after we found it involving replacing the string and the bag. Cool wee spot. Tftc
Since I have declared March to be Multi Month, I decided to head out today and pick up a few more. Since I had met up with skarkiefan at the geostuff.com.au opening event we decided to head out and get some multi caches together. We picked this cache up at 3:07pm. Having found Damperfiver prior to this one, we (eventually) were able to work out what to do for this cache. I had to ring a previous finder (twice) but we found it eventually. The item mentioned in the clue was missing, but I happened to have something with me that fit the bill, so I was able to replace it.
Thanks for the cache JackRobin.
Thanks for the cache JackRobin.
JackRobin you better see if it is still there cos we couldnt find any string just a broken takeaway container with a button in it (I took the button)if that was it then it needs a bit of work
This marks my fourth visit to the Damper series. First with the GeoDad, then with SanguineDragonflye, then solo, and finally today with Hevic. I'd done the hard yards on this one with Sanguine back in July, but ended up resigning. The two of us were simply looking in the wrong spot for the right thing, however - when my solo adventure turned up nothing, I swallowed my pride and asked the CO for a little nudge. That little nudge was all I needed, and Hevic and I finally discovered the cache this afternoon - 21 days short of one year since starting the series in the first place! Cheers JackRobin for the caches and for the excuses to visit Mount Waverley.
Been here before some time ago and worked on the GZ by dead reckoning (manually following the lines). Now I'm back with science, well some additional tools. I calculated the GZ with one obvious assumption and soon found myself with a rat tail in hand and then a nice Tupperware style container. Actually my dead reckoning was not far from the mark.
Nice puzzle JackRobin, TFTC.

Couldn't find this one either, it may have been we were in the wrong spot, but if we were in the right spot, the recent plantings in this area may be why the cache has disappeared.
Hmm... seems like this is a tricky one to capture. SanguineDragonflye and I spent the best part of three-quarters of an hour hunting this one down with no success. We may have been in the wrong place, or something might have gone wrong... but inevitably we decided to give up on this one and try again another day.
Attempted this a couple of weeks back with no luck. Confirmed the GZ with a fellow cacher and went back this morning for an easy find. Was expecting something less obvious from the hint. TFTC
After grabbing Damper 5 we decided to try this one. My first attempt but Jacimarbles second attempt. It was a bit of a challenge but after throwing around quite a few ideas we got ourselves to where we thought GZ 'should' be. Alas, we hunted and searched and came up empty handed. In the end I sent a few help messages out and got an answer back in the end. It turned out we were in the right place, we just had the wrong idea about the type of hide. The cache was located just on dark!
My second visit to this one. This time I had found Damper 5, thought I had a bit more of an idea of how to proceed, and brought a friend along!! We talked through a few ideas, played around with the gps and smart phones, swore a bit, wandered along to get Damper 2, thought and talked some more and finally headed in a direction we thought might be right. When we got there we searched around without finding anything or having much of an idea. I was fairly convinced we were in the right area, but still not luck. Ali read through past logs, and finally we sent out a message to a couple of previous finders. Then we gave up and went off to BYO H2O. While there we got a PAF message and got the vital information to help up with this one. So back we came (we were in the right area!) and hunted around where we now had a clue for and finally found the cache. This one did have us thinking about how we were going to solve it so was quite a challenge. Now for the other Damper multi I still don't have some day.
I got there in the end! This is my second attempt at this series and the penny finally dropped. Whilst at GZ I did call in help from a fellow cacher for the final find. Clearly my hand had missed it the first few times. TFTC.
This one did cause us some real problems, however having completed all the others in the series & gaining all the information & after checking & re-checking our calculations we made the right decision & found GZ & ultimately the cache. Thanks for a great series JackRobin.
Having gathered what we thought was the necessary information, we headed to a spot where we hoped to make the find, but after some time searching, couldn't find anything likely. A few possible spots, given the hint and logs, but I feel we weren't making use of all the clues... might have to give this one a think and try again another time.
Found the clues after too quickly looking at the initial coordinates the first time. Made the calculations and found as soon as I arrived. Cache and attachment are still in good condition. Thanks again JackRobin for another cool cache. Only Damper 4 to go now.

I was doing these in order but found that I didn't have all the info for Three. I collected what I could and decided to save for later. I was going to head home but couldn't help picking up the required info and coming back for the cache.
Thanks again for this great series of caches in this really nice little bushland park. I've enjoyed my morning walk around here.

A simple drive-by while returning from dropping the geokids to school certainly turned into a odyssey. I saw #5 on TomTom but ignored it, then pulled in to #3, only to realise when starting the real geodevice that I'd landed on a series.
I attended to this one first, but did not see it. I saw a retrieval device, but nothing was attached to it. And I could not see where it could have led to. I resolved that I needed some more information and headed off to another in the series. When I returned some time later after circumnavigating the globe, I could not see myself being in any other place than where I had started. Oh well.
I enjoyed this series even if it frustrated me to no end, it's a wonderful stretch of green here.
Thanx JackRobin!

After finding Damper 5 a couple of weeks ago, we are on a roll. Now that others have recently found Damper 3, we know it is there and not gone. Finally found it a few metres away from our calculated GZ. It is all in working order, thanks to previous finders for the repair job.
When I first did DamperOne and Two a few months ago, I didn't have the tools to complete the rest. Had the chance to come back today while giving geoson a driving lesson in a manual. Now that was almost as big a challenge as these cache as we stalled our way to park near GZ!
My calculations were about 10 to 15 metres off, but after a 10-15 minute search, I found the telltale sign and retrieved the cache. It is still fine and works as per instructions, probably fixed by last finder. I made a minor adjustment which should make it fine for some time.
Thanks JackRobin for the cache and for the adventure and challenge. A favourite from me for this and for the series.

Find #412
After a rather poor showing at the poker, Physics Teacher, PKK... and I headed off to make fools of ourselves at another game. This one!
We started off by trying to clear up the Damper series but made an unfortunate false start on Damper 4, realising at this point that we needed more information to be able to get a GZ. Parked right next to where my lovely wife was living when I first met her.
After reading some logs for this one, and our false start on Damper 4 we were a little worried about a potentially fruitless exercise. Our fears were quickly allayed, however, as PT quickly made the find
Thanks for the cache and the fun!

After my brother beat us all at poker (who would have thought), CamBendy, PKK... and I decided to "grab a few" as we do. We calculated some coords and headed to GZ. For some reason the boys decided to ignore the obvious. I found a string (which is frayed and may be close to breaking) and pulled and voila - cache in hand. Signed and returned. TFTC. TNLN. SL.
This has been a nemesis for me. Once I had the right tool the calculations weren't too hard but I think the phone misdirected me. A little assistance had me at a location 5 metres nearer and the cache soon in my hands. It was wet inside but the logbook was dry. No swaps. Thanks for the cache.
I headed out tonight for a quick caching trip up Eastlink to pick up a couple of newer caches and a few that I've been meaning to collect for a while. Another rather cold winter's night, partly cloudy but more importantly - no rain.
This was one of a few multis I managed to completed tonight. Having collected some of the previous waypoints on earlier occasions, I could finally complete them and make my way to the finals. I finally found the cache tonight after passing by on too many occasions. It took a little while before I located GZ and soon was removing the cache from its hiding spot. The string was still attached but it was a bit buried so had to dig a little before extracting the container.
Thanks for the hide JackRobin.

Anybody found this cache recently? Went looking today but no luck Ive heard that the hint is no longer accurate?
